Was something throwing rocks at you that night? It sounded like things were being thrown. I think the most terrified I've been while camping is waking up to the grunts and heavy footsteps of a bear.
I was camping in very dense forest of north Georgia over the Halloween weekend and on the first night around 3am I was woken up by a loud howl that sounded like a mix between an owl and a coyote but wasn’t either. It was in our camp coming from where the car was parked. I was in the tent on the other side of camp clinging onto my cars panic button, so if anything came closer I’d hit it and scare it away... I eventually fell asleep after a while... the second night it came back. I was woken up at 3am again by a loud sound. Sounded like a metal bear box slamming shut or if someone had slung a huge trash can at the car. I grabbed my key faub, and had my thumb over the panic button, and my knife and bear spray close by my head as I laid on my cot. It was cold that night and I had a heater in my tent so the glow of the heater would’ve shown my shadow moving from outside the tent so I stayed and still as possible. I continued to listen, and soon after the bang I heard what sounded like metal popping like if something big got on top of the car, pooping the metal in and out... a few minutes later, I hear foot steps big slow steps, sounded bipedal not like a bear on all fours... though bears were in the area at the time but I never saw any... the steps got closer to my tent. It was right outside my tent above my head, as my cot was facing away from camp... the wind was going some that night but not very bad. My tent started to cave in on the right side worse than what the wind was doing. Not sure if it was something or just a strong gust of wind but it was different... then on the left it sounded like a fingernail run across my tent, zzzzzzz... I was paralyzed with fear, what ever it was just circled my tent... then I heard a loud deep sigh... it was either a bear, human or Bigfoot or something... then it continued towards the camps kitchen and metal was clinging... after about an hour I was exhausted and sleep caught up to me... we woke up to huge foot prints like a big foot and found greasy finger prints on our Jeep... it even had ridges like fingerprint...

Just a Badger and his mate making small talk. They sound like that. But I feel your fear. I was in a wilderness area camping. I chose to pitch my tent right on the shoreline of a very nice cold and clear pool of water, right off the main trail. In the middle of the night, I swear I heard beasts walking around outside my tent. Both eyes wide open, heart beating so loud I knew whatever was out there could at least hear me. I go for the handgun, unzip the tent a tiny bit and peek out. Don't camp next to the forest animals watering hole lol. They all come out at night to get a nice drink. I had a family of racoons not just getting a drink, but going thru my stuff. Who left a tent and all this gear in front of our water hole? Trained Forester and Wildlife Conservationist. Still I was scared for a little while! As for the poor owl...ya we could hear it during the video. They make one hell of a screech and scream if being preyed upon. Didn't look eaten either. Badgers would have gone for it. IDK who was doing what but the Owl got the worst end of it. Nice Vid. Thanks.

I watch a few wild camping chan and have seen enough footage to know there is something strange happening in the woods. I'm sure 50% could have a logical explanation but the other 50% is really unexplained. new sub!
Exactly I mean a lot of them cam deep in the woods or miles away from people yet “people” just happen to find them in the woods and torment them. That sounds too far fetched for me if you think logically what are the chances of that. If it was teens or lads in their early 20 they would be laughing and we don’t hear that. Half of me really thinks it’s supernatural it’s happened to a few wild campers Iv watched.
@@Lilly_Rose. I watch a few and a lot of the ppl I watch brush it off as unexplained but really they are missing how incredibly weird it is and they captured it on film.
there are things that you cant explain and there are also imagination, you cant deny all nor it will be stupidity to think all stories are true. But i will never camp alone. i have only camp once and we were four, even then i did not feel comfortable. and when it was about to get dark and we headed into the jungle away from civilization i did not feel good at all, it felt like i was heading into cursed forest even though it is not. people who camp alone are stupid. its like they try to prove something, people who hate fear are also stupid, fear is logical, fear of the dark is perfectly logical its your gut telling you its not okay, so why ignore that?
What if whoever was outside the tent replied back to you that he. Had an axe..lol..for peace of mind i carry a 45 when we go camping. I mightve broke a rib or two laughing.
That freaky growling NOOO WAY 😱😱 that was more demonic for sure. Late night out in the woods around that t time for sure 😈 Anyway big like from Amsterdam💪🏽👌🏽
I remember my first trip in UK when I was 18. I camped in an isolated meadow, when night fell I saw lots of lights moving in the woods. It was getting worrying and I decided to go and see. The closer I got, the more I heard screams, groans of pain, footsteps in the leaves... until I saw a face emerging in the middle of a bush and staring at me. It was terrifying and I turned around very quickly to come back, there I saw a guy riding another guy at the edge of the woods, maybe at five meters away. The next day I was actually told that this place was known for its murmurs and its thousand-handed bushes as soon as the sun went down. I was really, really scared and to this day I still get the shivers.
I remember camping many years ago when i saw a shadow going up the side of my tent. Looked like a big snake. I froze. Didnt move and dozed off. The next morning i found a big stick leaning up against my tent. Not a snake. But one time it was not a stick. I had just walked back to my campsite in the woods at night and tucked myself into my tent and sleeping bag when i heard an animal sniffing. It was outside my tent sniffing at the walls of my tent. The ground outside was covered deep with dry leaves and it was quite noisy when you walk in them. Cant sneak up on anything with that racket. But whatever was outside my tent traveled all the way around my tent and the only sound was sniffing on the other side of the tent walls. The sniffing sounded more excited or interested. The sound of no footfalls was creepy. A person couldnt do that, so it must have been an animal. I made a big noise and yelled. I didnt hear it run away and i heard no more sniffing. I cant tell you how unsettling the sound of sniffing is in the middle of the night. But no sounds of crackling crunching leaves when something is walking around is freaking unnatural. Those leaves were piled thick and dry. Its not like whatever it was was stepping over the leaves to a bare spot of ground. There was one thing that i heard most nights walking through the leaves and that was one of several gopher tortoises that came out of their burrows at night to feed. The only animal that might be able to walk quietly through that mess of leaves could have been a bobcat. I cant think of anything else.
That was cute. Probably an owl. I always have a .44 in my belt no matter what. Then again we have REAL bears that get too curious and mountain lions. You don't want to depend on pepper spray when it comes to your life. Make a basic perimeter warning system with cans pebbles and twine. "I have a knife"..cracks me up. Not a strong plan. For human intruders you better get out of the tent to confront because you are a burrito waiting to be clubbed. Get better prepared and stay safe.
I know sometimes people don't want to give specific locations but a general one would be helpful to viewers. Especially for those of us who are across the globe! Now regarding that growl... Did you not hear it? You said you heard "somebody," and later you said you heard laughing. If you heard what we hear on the audio, I'm certain you would have specified "a growl" or "something" not "somebody"...
What I do is sleep on the bushes near the tent… it’s always interesting to watch psychopaths creeping around the tent when they think you’re asleep inside.
Alright m8 just started solo wild camping myself , also from Scotland where abouts is this u are camping ? It was probably kids at the noise up but u never know . Banshee maybe ? 🤔🤣
If you can’t take a gun camping, get yourself a can of hornet/wasp spray. It will soak a person in the face from 10 feet away. The good part is, that it blinds and mangles the bastard, until an emergency room can administer the unmangler. Great to keep next to your bed at home too!😬😬😬😬😬
If you use a non defensive spray as a defensive spray, you go straight to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. I suggest simply following your local laws and/or regulations, and defending yourself properly with an appropriate defensive tool. I carry a firearm while out, because I have that freedom. Not a lot of people do.
When I was camping a few month ago I was woken up by cat like hissing but I’ve never heard a cat hiss as loud as this. In the U.K. we only have domestic cats but this sounded more like a jaguar 😬 haven’t heard it since but I’ll never forget it.
Was doubtless the chicken ghost coming to haunt you for the way you cooked that meat. Lol. Seriously, cooking meat in a big dancing flame from store-bought wood? Wow. Just….wow!
No messin, a mate and I went campin in the Mournes one summer, and about 4 or 5 in the morning we could hear chanting from a group of people coming from one of the neighbouring fileds. As we had a bottle of Jack Daniels in us, it didn't bother us too much, and we just went went off to sleep
Sounded like a sasquatch growling, especially with the rock throwing. It almost sounded like it was whooping a little bit, and then growling, so you'd come out. They like to watch people. The US and Canada are absolutely crawling with them.
I just subbed. Maybe take a battle axe or a compound bow next time. Slingshots would be great too. Air rifle would work as well. One trick I would do to fortify my campground back then was to cut tree shrubs and do a 360 circle fencing around my entire tent layout. Think of it acting as warning bells and physical deterrent. Any creatures that would attempt to get to your tent will have to smash through very noisy shrubs giving you the advantage of alertness. You can always use electrified metal wires to set around your tent to help deter pesky creatures that attempts to get to your tent. Hope it helps!
Yep most definitely Sasquatch (Bigfoot) doing his nightly stroll in the old Scottish Glen! That is why they can't find him in USA, Canada or Alaska, cause he moved to Scotland years ago! Don't worry though, main diet is Owls, oh and men shouting 'I have a Knife!' Liked and Subscribed.
Someone camped in a high energy spot! You can clearly hear a womans laugh, as for those things dug in the wet mud yet no prints around it... you don't need a scientist to work out what was happening. Awsome vid
So you think the growling is real? no hope FOR HUMANITY if that is true.. i wonder how many of you are out there. The growling is clearly separate from the REAL audio.
So, you dont know tha, there's a woodland critter that frequents river bottoms, is active predominantly at night but not exclusively so. Which has been said to stack stones on logs or other things, when if when changed are put back in the original order. Some who have heard them, describe them as laughing, almost sounding hysterical / crazy / like a hyena. According to those that have had close encounters, while being situated in any single spot that these creatures inhabit and for any length of time, will find thrown at them small stones, increasing in size if the person stays to long. Potentially escalating into tree limbs, boulders or even trees pushed over. Based solely on whats represented and mentioned by this clip, all it needs is the classic, paralleled footsteps walking beside him, but out of sight and perhaps some out of place looking tree structures, and its like whats a typical bigfoot encounter. Given the amount of encounters near water sources, such as rivers. which its surmised these critters use for travel routes. The camp was inbetween two rivers. Im not saying it was, im not saying it wasnt. I wasnt there.
I can sympathize totally. My son (age 11) and I went tenting in a place called Skull Ridge. Beautiful. Ate our dinner, then climbed into our bags. An hour later we both heard foot-falls as though someone was walking through our camp. Kept my Glock close & yelled as loud as I could to get out of our camp. I was convinced by morning all of our gear outside would be stolen but in the morning not a thing was disturbed. Still scared the crap out of me!! Memories I guess! Great vid...keep up the good work.

@@explorer8125woooow I am getting chills just from that and I’m happy your guys were alive and safe in there. 🙏🙏Also did anyone had a weapon cause it’s really dangerous out there in the forest 😳

Right lol I would not say anything. The only thing they be hearing is me emptying the mag when they try getting in 😅
I feel this is where tarp camping comes into its own by just a smidge. Quick bail in and out.
Nice Vid. Thanks.
animals dont stand those discs in a row like that it has to be intelligent.. something walking around at night without a flashlight and can see in the dark , sounds like a sasquatch.

@@bladeuser101 Yeah....pretty sure that sasquatch will come to someones camp in the middle of the night to stand up wooden disks in the row. Seems very likely. We must absolutely avoid fantasy scenarios as that author of the video set this up for lolz.

i went to camping once but i regret it and we were four, i rather go into the wild during day time and return home before dark. people who camp alone are nuts
So it took you 40 years to finally decide it was dodgy? 😊
Hello friend, sorry you had to experience that crazy stuff. From a fellow Scotsman, stay safe and happy camping. Paul.

If this is real it just confirms why camping is stupid. You are protected by a material structure from something you can’t see but can definitely see you. Sleep well

Why are all the “camp intruder” vids from Britain ?
I've noticed that as well. Probably because every American basically knows to stay the F away from camp sites because of the pew pew.

A pair of night vision binoculars is a good investment for situations like this.
I had the same thought

Could it be an otter or seal
Ah yes the famous scottish river seals

What was the place called?

I shouldve listened to the warning at the start, I bloody shit myself!
Both hilarious and scary!
No, that sonded like a bllack leoparf.
You've got a knife...pfffffff........i've got sharp claws and big fangs hooman!! And they freakin called me the dogman!! You and your puny knife....
An axe would be better 😉
I know sometimes people don't want to give specific locations but a general one would be helpful to viewers. Especially for those of us who are across the globe!
Now regarding that growl... Did you not hear it? You said you heard "somebody," and later you said you heard laughing. If you heard what we hear on the audio, I'm certain you would have specified "a growl" or "something" not "somebody"...
What I do is sleep on the bushes near the tent… it’s always interesting to watch psychopaths creeping around the tent when they think you’re asleep inside.
Those Idahoan mash packs are great! Buy them by the box load!
Great to keep next to your bed at home too!😬😬😬😬😬
Or bear spray.
It actually works too, my uncle suggested that idea, works on animals also!!!
Stupide
Yep it’s very potent. To the point it’s actually illegal to spray at people. 😂

Please tell the area. Just not exactly location. But. So people can have ideas where is the place. 😊
Yeah because you could definitely cock an arrow in your tent 😂
