Imo same with martin mcdonagh, hes made 2 of my top 10 movies and seven psychopaths being my absolute favorite. Coen bros too but they're actually oscar worthy movies.
The Covenant was an awesome war drama though, with amazing performances by Jake Gyllenhaal and specially Dar Salim as the Afghan interpreter. It's a shame most people slept on this movie last year.

The fans see him as either Eisenhorn, one of the Primarchs or Custodes (Valdor, of course). Really depends on the era of his show. If it is Horus Heresy, maybe we see him as one of the Primarchs, maybe even Big E himself. Who knows. But from all I've seen, he won't be a "simple" Space Marine.
"Guy Ritchie's inglorious bastards" would sell this for most guys and "with Henry Cavil and Alan Ritchson" will sell this for the ladies. Perfect pitch for a movie

There is a non-fiction book titled "Churchill's Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." It is a wild read. Military history buffs and people just interested in crazy special operations stuff should consider giving it a read.
Henry mentioned that there was no actual action in the actual operation but Guy Richie did his thing and I'm glad he did for entertainment purposes. He's one of the only directors I've enjoyed new projects from recently.
I don't know when does Guy Ritchie sleeps. Every time i woke up to a movie news, there's often an update of his new movie for the next few years' release so i guess more power to him 😂
I hope he does honestly, since he's been filming in the Mediterranean quite often in the past few movies I hope he takes even a week off just to unwind so he could get past making decent-mid movies and actually focus on making a good one
That is a fun but flawed movie. Apparently Alan Moore hated the adaptation from the comic, but to be fair, I think he's hated every adaptation of any of his comics. Some hate is more justified than others in his case, but yet he still sells the rights to his properties, so view accordingly.

Guy Ritchie is killing it lately! This movie, The Gentleman series on Netflix (which is better than the film) and The Covenant have all been very impressive. I hope someone revives The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Soon because that movie deserves way more love.

Sorry, as a person that just saw the movie, and came for the review, JJ is spot on about the ending and flashing the real people without the actors next to them. Besides Gus March and Anders I didn't know who was who. Which I kinda wish they put another 20 min into the movie to get more background connection to the people.

Inglorious Basterds is one of my all time favorites… that being said, a “dollar store” action version sounds awesome to me. However, if it was dollar store version of the dramatic side of Basterds, that’s where you might lose me.

Most boring movie of the year. At no point was the team challenged at all. Every mission was "we need to do this". And they casually did exactly that with little to no resistance. Even when the chick was taken by the bad guy and he goes "shackle her up". I heard a lady in the audience say "oh she's in trouble now". And ...nope, no shackles, she's in the back of a car 2 minutes later with a gun strapped to her thigh that somehow these soldiers forgot to check for. At no point did i feel like anybody on the team was in any danger whatsoever, no tension, no nothing. A movie like this needs at least one sequence where everything goes to hell. The closest it came was "the boat is armored, we can't sink it" "Ok, let's steal it" Problem solved

Inglorious Basterds is one of my all time favorites… that being said, a “dollar store” action version sounds awesome to me. However, if it was dollar store version of the dramatic side of Basterds, that’s where you might lose me.
I don’t think it’s just a ”you” thing having trouble with the run time with a lot of movies that comes out today. I feel like that about almost all new movies. Well, well, hope this trend dies out soon. Thanks for yet another great review, it’s always fun hearing your thoughts surrounding new movies.

Most boring movie of the year. At no point was the team challenged at all. Every mission was "we need to do this". And they casually did exactly that with little to no resistance. Even when the chick was taken by the bad guy and he goes "shackle her up". I heard a lady in the audience say "oh she's in trouble now". And ...nope, no shackles, she's in the back of a car 2 minutes later with a gun strapped to her thigh that somehow these soldiers forgot to check for. At no point did i feel like anybody on the team was in any danger whatsoever, no tension, no nothing. A movie like this needs at least one sequence where everything goes to hell. The closest it came was
"the boat is armored, we can't sink it"
"Ok, let's steal it"
