IMHO this bike is Triumph's smartest move ever. It will sell like crazy I think.
Agreed this bike ticks so many boxes.
Not to mention third world markets too! I really hope it’s going to be priced under the CB650R in my market, I’m gonna be so sad if it’s getting sold over an MT-09 (which is $650 over a CB650R, and, get this, $2000 over a Z900 (yes a Z900 is cheaper than a CB650)). I’m looking forward to a Trident as my second and possibly last bike.
I was at Triumph world, Chesterfield last week dropping my bike off for repair and the showroom was full of these with sold labels on them
Waiting on the two I preordered still 🤔 Excited for ya!
Oh fuck oh shit
Yammer, he lives basically around the corner from the factory.
Sorry autocorrect, Yammie.
Two?! Can't wait to see them!
@@jamesjessica Thailand
Although the business has moved mass production out of the UK, with the Trident made in Thailand, it said the new model has an “original British design” which comes in a “pure, minimalistic form” and Triumph's design DNA
I think you've made a very wise choice dude. The bike looks great and I think its gonna carve a huge chunk of the beginner / middle weight category. Looks miles better than the MT07 and CB and for 7.k you get Triumph quality and reliability. Cant wait to see your future vids. I remember watching your Kawi ER6 videos way back! Cool to see a nice guys channel grow bigger!
Thanks for all your support mate! Agree looks so much better than the MT, but it's all personal preference I guess...
3:28 "There are a couple of small things I might change" → cuts to a shot of the exhaust 😁 Can't wait to hear a custom pipe on a triple
This is a tricky one though - apparently because of euro 5 the engine is tuned for lots of back pressure from the exhaust, so if you fit something free flowing it won't run so well. I'm interested to see what will come to the aftermarket though...
@@motobob yeah you'll have to remap it at the same time essentially...
I think this is going to be the most interesting part of this engine. Rip the euro 5 off, high flow air box, and a tune and I wouldn't be surprised to see rwhp gains of 10+. Respring the forks for your weight and I think at that point it will be an excellent everyday bike o ride the hell out of.
I think Triumph will sell loads of this one. Looks great.
Me too, it’ll be here in two weeks. Can’t bloody wait 😍😂.
This is partially down to you and your colleagues who reviewed it initially. What a write up, what a bike.
Nice name. 😂👌
Yes, you should always buy a bike based on a UA-cam video. Don’t ever test one yourself and make your own mind up.
Congrats on the new bike, I'm sure Triumph will sell a shed load of them. Great bike at a good price point. I also bet like most of us you will be looking forward in getting back out there and riding much much more in 2021.
Beautiful bike, congrats on the purchase! Definitely looking forward to your future videos on it and hopefully I'll get to test ride one for a video one day✌️
Congratulations for a new bike !
Sounds really good !
Looking forward more videos :)
Nice one dude, good choice. Looking forward to future updates. Enjoy and keep it shiny side up👍
Gotta love how Trident looks like. Triumph really nailed this one with its "low" price and good style.
Congratulations on your purchase!
Thanks mate!
Congrats on the purchase! I also really like this bike and would pair great with the Street Twin in my garage. Great choice in colour, too. I look forward to seeing your little personal tweaks and long term ownership review. Another great vid as usual.
Congrats, look forward to videos on it.
I wish this had been out a year go when I was looking for my first bike.
Thank you so very much for getting that Triumph 660 Motorcycle. I look forward to more videos with you riding it.
Grats on the new bike. Looking forward to see your new content with it. Was a bit surprised when I came across this thumbnail, but overall not surprised you got this bike. Enjoy and enjoy the ride.
Great looking bike, I really look forward to seeing more content on it once it’s on the road. Thanks, regards, Bob M. South Wales
Exciting! Waiting for mine to come in April! Can’t wait!
Your enthusiasm for this bike is infectious. I’m reminded of how excited I was last year when I took possession of my 2020 Bonneville T120. Everything I’ve seen and read about the new Trident has been positive and I think it will be a huge seller for Triumph. I really look forward to your upcoming videos on this bike. Enjoy it!
It's how I felt when I first rode the Street Twin actually! Going to be keeping that bike for a while too
@@motobob I’m envious that you’ll be riding it soon. Here in Canada we still have lots of snow on the ground and -15 celcius temperatures, so I likely won’t be on my bike for at least another two months.
I love how you're very honest and open about your opinions. This was a great video! Really appreciate the good work!
Gorgeous bike - really pleased for you Bob. Looking forward to your reviews on long term ownership.
So excited for you Motobob! Some day would love to try one out. Beautiful bike I think Triumph has a winner.
There two types of bike I love the sound of - triples working hard and also the v twin. Nice bike! Enjoy.
Can’t wait to get my full licence and this bike. Looking forward to the trident content!
Awesome 🙌 Looking forward to lots of Trident content 🏍 👍
2020 Street Triple owner who really likes the look of the Trident. Another 18 months and I’ll be looking to change and want something a little more upright. Looking forward to watching your Trident journey.
Congratulations with this great bike!
Congrats Bob, lovely machine and perfect for city and weekend spins, best of luck with it....glad you kept the street twin also👍💚☘️
Cheers mate! Hope you're well
Awesome as always Bob! I look forward to your content in 2021! Thank you. 👍😎🇦🇺
Thanks MG!
Cant wait to see a long term owners review!
Triumph have hit another sweet spot , great value bike ,I’m looking forward to riding one 👍
Nice!! Hoping to get back into riding in the next year, would love it to be on a trident 660.
Yeh nice bike looks dope, Everyman and his dog seems to be getting one at the moment, Triumph most be loving it 🔥💙 keep up the great vids
Brilliant can’t wait for the reviews
Nice one: I always like to see what a reviewer actually spends their money on. Why not take the null time to get it coated in some protectant.
like ACF?
@@motobob or maybe one of those new nano coatings
@@cpuuk or spare that expense and wash and wax regularly…..well it looks like a flat finish paint…..just wash the flat parts…wax the shiny bits.
How long do nano coatings last?
@@PhilG221 A nano second, probably.
MAN you bought a Trident??
Awesome choice, in my opinion, the best motorcycle of 2021, AND it's a Triumph, you can't go wrong with that.
Awesome.
I would go with the Honda CB650R
Great choice Bob.
Can't wait to see more videos of the Trident. 😃
Congrats on your new bike.... Nice Content...Ride safe.....👍
dude! that is soo cool. looking forward to the new bike videos!!!
I'm waiting on a Trident 660 arriving in San Jose. It's a fine looking bike!
Nice bike sir, love the colour scheme also.
Great choice and a new registration 👌.
Congrats on your new bike, very nice, I’m sure it will be great, lucky man 👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Motobob, congrats on the new steed, keep up the great content.....
Thanks GM!
I’ve been looking for my first bike for months and have gone back and forth and changed my mind alot but I think this is in first place for me right now. Really love the look of this bike and think it’ll be plenty of bike for what I need
Take a demo ride on one! Triumph dealers are always accommodating, and they know this will be a first bike for a lot of people so that won’t be a problem 👍
@@motobob thank u for that info. I definitely will👍
Nice li'l vid.
Good to meet you earlier today. Glad that gazebo help up for you in the end. lol...
You're right though the bike really looks fantastic. Cant wait to hear more about it.
Good to meet you too mate! Haha it was quivering in the wind - glad it didn’t come down on me
Planning on getting the Trident at some point in the future, looking forward to new vids about the bike as I’m excited to learn lots more before I take my MSF & get the trident 😊❤️ much love from Iowa in the United States
Looking good and that exhaust soundtrack is 👌 As always great editing & track choice 🍻
Thanks mate!
Alf mabrook!!!!!! amazing bike, good decision and the color scheme is awesome,,,,,looking forward to a long term review and upgrades.
Bob! Congratulations on the new bike.
Huge congratulations buddy you have a cracking review and awesome voice I’m thinking how exciting it is to get a new machine. Enjoy 🏍👌
Nice, looking forward for some more videos on trident 👍
Congratulations. Love that bike. Stay safe.
Great video fantastic bike like the colour scheme you have chosen hope you enjoy your new bike stay safe and looking forward to more videos on the triumph 🇬🇧👍
Cheers RP!
Congrats on the new wheels bro!
Great purchase, congratulations!
Nice one, have fun :)
I myself ordered a 2021 mt-09, can't wait when it gets here!
Wow CONGRATULATIONS!!
Congrats Homie! Ride safe
I love your honesty, man!
Thanks!
Looking forward to your next video MotoBob.. thanks bro..👍🏼😊
Congratulations on the bike😉🍻
Congratulations for your new bike, greetings from Mexico
Thanks mate!
So excited for this bike!!
Excited for you, and jealous tbh!
Congrats on the new bike!
Thanks mate!
Congrats! Looks like a great bike. Would love to ride one someday!
Waiting for my preorder here in New Zealand and it'll be my first bike.. can't wait!
Lovely to see someone excited and happy about something positive at this time. You should have waited for a Ural! Enjoy and good luck.
I'm really tempted by one for my commute in London. The thing thats stopping me is requiring relatively secure luggage. I need to bring stuff with me daily plus good security for when it's locked up during the working day. I'll wait and see what the likes of givi come up with that hopefully doesn't ruin the bikes good looks. Looking forward to seeing more on your new bike
you're the reason I'm getting a trident this year. Great review!
Enjoy! 🤙
Congratulations on your new purchase.
I want to test ride one, I was interested in the Bronx but since that’s been killed I’m looking hard at this bike! Congrats!
They were going in the right direction with the Bronx they just need to throw some smaller CC options and people would eat it up! It’s a shame
@@sicdedworm09 I am still hopeful that it may may a come back in a year or two
The Bronx was a nice bike. I saw one at a motorcycle show.
But I guarantee it would have cost twice as much as this Triumph.
So you wanted an expensive 947 cc bike but now your going to get a budget 675 ? How does that make sense ? Shouldn’t you be going for an xsr900 or Honda cb1000r
@@douglasalexander4348 I am interested in Bronx, interested in FTR1200 also. I like the trident, it is less bike fit less money. I am going look at the xsr900 as a possibility but it is a 3rd bike so it’s not that I need anything it’s just what I find appealing and I’m interested in... not interested in a 100..
Congratulations 🥳
i'll also buy a new bike this year, and my choice came down to the cb650r, the bmw r nineT (which of course would be the premium option) and THIS bike. i'm looking foward to what you will tell us about the trident in the next couple weeks/ months. maybe you'll help me with my decision :)
greetings from germany
Ride them all and choose the one you like the most! But yes, I'll be making loads more vids with this bike
Nice one Bob, happy for ya!
Ta mate!
Yes, mate. Lovely bike, great choice. Enjoy!
Will never forgive Triumph for not calling it Trident 666 (Triple 6!!)
Congrats on the new bike! She is a beauty! I never liked this type of ride until now. The Trident is beautiful to the eye. I \'m hoping things improve here at home and I can go to a dealership to test one out
Congratulations! Happy biking!
Thanks mate!
Not my bag but I’m really pleased for you!! Enjoy your new ride !! 👍👍👍
You’d look so much better with a shorter beard. Congrats on your new bike! So exciting. I really love your reviews. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations, I think Triumph have hit the spot with this bike, look forward to ownership updates.
Will do mate
Will be taking a test ride on Thursday, looking forward to seeing this bike 👍
Congrats on the new bike man! I was about to say "oh you got rid of your street twin !? " And after you giving me a telling off for getting a Scrambler XC!!! Tut tut tut Mr! 😜🤣🤣.
But seriously, great choice mate. Glad you stuck with Triumph 😉👊🏻💥. Look forward to many vids to come. Have fun mate 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Haha all in jest of course. Will keep the twin for now and see how it goes. Don't want it just gathering dust in the garage, so if it doesn't get used this year I might have to flog it. But I would love to keep it
Congrats, great bike, love it!
Congratulations buddy 😎
The review of this bike from Tenerife is actually why I subscribed to this channel. My next bike will definitely be Triumph, unless Norton actually releases something mind-blowing when they decide to go into full production. I still think it will be Triumph, however. They are marvellous machines. Thanks for the views of the new bike. I do think you will have a good time breaking it in. Cheers mate.
Would love to see the Norton Atlas actually hit the road! Such a great looking bike
Congrats! I love the color scheme! Good choice!
Augh the beard returns. Nice bike thanks for the video of that. Real report. It looks like a great bike, basically the XSR700 with all the mods i would want applied.
I’ll be test riding a Trident this weekend. The Thruxton R I own now will have a partner!
I will be interested to watch your progress with this bike and how it shapes up day-to-day. I reckon the flexible triple engine will be great in the city. Wide service intervals will be useful. I have a feeling that this bike will get 'done to death on UA-cam', too. They are going to really sell. Maybe to me?
That music does my head in.
congrats, man!
congrats on the new bike Rob! I still have my 2005 Triumph Daytona 650! lol. Ride on brother!
That's almost a classic now! Probably not massively different from this bike though
@@motobob that’s why I’m holding onto it buddy! Another 20 years it maybe worth something since that is the ONLY year they made the 650. They went from 600 to 650 for one year an on to the 675.
Great choice! I really like the bike. Sounds pretty good too. Let the fun begin.
Yessir!
Congratulations mate!
Cheers CR!
Congratulations Rob. Nice looking bike. Have fun with it.
Thanks Tahir!
Congratulations MotoBOB! Looks great & great bikes don’t have to be expensive!✅ keeping it British is priority 💯👌
You bought it....? Damn that's amazing.
Can't wait for your content on this in future.
Congratulations man 👍
Thanks mate!
I enjoyed your video on the new Trident 660 it's a great looking bike and a great bike for anyone that wants good performance without breaking the bank.
I'm the proud owner of a Triumph Street triple 675 S. She is a 2013 that I bought with only 1900 miles on the odometer just over a year ago. From your newest fan I look forward to more videos on your Trident 660.
Cheers MotoBob . I got hold of Phil and Mike. Proud owner of the Sapphire Black. My god the bike is amazing. Glad to see the back of the MT 07. Take away it’s quirky twin firing order and there’s not a lot to offer.
That’s great to hear! Glad you like it. I rode the XSR last week and totally agree with you - the engine is cracking but the Trident feels so much more agile. And technologically they’re night and day
Herzlichen Glückwunsch!!!
Congratulations, triumph makes best looking bikes, modern retro, love the design, I hope triumph make one with bigger engine!
Nah bro, cb650r is by far the best neo retro
Yep, a Speed Triple with a round headlight. Although I might go for a Speed Twin look alike with the new Speed Triple 1160cc engine. Not sure what they could call it. It wouldn't be a Speed Twin, coz of the triple engine, The Bonneville Speed Triple maybe !
