You're no slouch at doing interviews Shawn. Some of my all-time favorite interviews were conducted by you. I've watched the Mike Glover interview about a dozen times.
I love how Mike always just asks what’s on his mind. He isn’t afraid to ask this or that which makes him such a great interviewer. It’s awesome to see someone like Shawn open up and share his recent take on what’s south of the border.
So the last time I watched Shawn Ryan was about the psychedelic treatment he did. I cheered him on, I cried with him, man is Miss Katie granite strength, and I learned so much. So before I turn this episode of Mike Drop on, I want to thank the Ryans and the Ritlands for all they do for our country and their brethren. I don't know any of you personally, but your commitment to authenticity, considering the clown festival in the WH, is so appreciated. It gives us all hope in an otherwise crazy society we live in. You may be humble and taught to be so, but we know your greatness. Gods bless you and thank you.
WOW..... Can't hate authenticity and accountability.... I'm glad you are still here Mr. Shawn. We need you I think more than you need us. Kind of selfish I know, apologies, but we need leaders like you and Mr. Mike to give us hope/ guidance and a good kick in the pants. What I don't get is why a community of highly intelligent Special Operators wouldn't have one another's backs? Why all the hate and drama. Seems that elite individuals such as yourselves need to contain the community you all fought so hard to get into. Again average civilians don't know the inner workings. We can't. But it would seem that the circle needs to be completed again and cleared of unhealthy motivations. You guys are far too good for that, given training, intellect and service.

Mike is a kick ass sounding board also. It's crazy how good the both of y'all are at having talk shows. I don't know any other people that really dig into like the both of you.
I’m a Veteran and suffer from addiction from my PTS military experiences. I’ve been through rehab at the VA several times and finally have my life on track. It was hell and so hard, but I did it. Thanks a ton Shaun sharing your story. I feel alone in this disease at times and hearing your story helped me not feel the loneliness. I wish you all the best.
You got this my friend! I know the struggle all too well after 15 years of severe alcoholism and drug addiction. I am close to four years clean, and assure you it gets easier with time. The best advice I can give you is the last thing I was willing to try myself, and that was turning to Jesus Christ. I tried everything multiple times, and the only thing with lasting effects was my relationship with God. He has healed me, and taken me from homeless to productive business owner in just a few years. Fill your time with new hobbies, new friends, and most of all call out to your creator. I know it sounds cliché, but truly the Bible changed my life in ways I never could have expected. I will pray for you Ryan, and I believe you will win the spiritual battle called addiction. Once you realize the battle is spiritual you can use the right weapon to fight the enemy. Jesus is the only reason I am alive today, and I know that for a fact.
I'm in the same boat. Addiction destroyed my life but I never stopped trying, just like a Navy Seal. I'll tell you what. Sobriety ain't for Sissy's because it is hell the first year. It took me 7 years to get 1 year of sobriety. Never Never Give Up.
Congrats on sobering up everyone in this comment thread. There's lots of us out there. It's all about willpower, no addict quits unless they will it. Quiting was what truly got me over my troubles. You work on yourself to quit and it gives you the honest perspective to tackle the other stuff. The chemicals are just a coping mechanism. Godspeed
Been through the VA’s “rehab” program and it’s such a fucking joke. It’s pretty much a homeless shelter for vets with addiction. It’s awful they treat us like that. You should go on the wing where they take your shoestrings from u… yeah that’s fun
This is absolute proof that addiction can grab anybody. It takes a very strong mind to kick it, and an even stronger one to admit it. Nothing but respect for Shawn and Mike for having this conversation.
My two favorite "shows". I only call them shows because of a lack of a better word. After well over twenty years doing interviews/interrogations (criminal, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, background investigations), these two guys are some of the best I have seen. The ability to lead the guest to what you want them to talk about but not leading them to the answer you want AND the ability to let them comfortably talk about what they want is something that has to come natural and not something that can easily be forced. Always great guests, informative content, and very entertaining! Great job guys!

This is my 3rd comment on this video but the most important one… I have nothing but the utmost respect for Shawn Ryan to speak about what he went through. It couldn’t have been easy to have to relive those thoughts in your head and to rethink how many times you messed up in life and literally put your life at risk and the well being of your friends and family because of the possibility of them losing you. I wish nothing but success and good health for Shawn and his family.
Love the new ‘do! Shawn, the type of guy, to ask that you “give a thumbs up/like, to ALL those you like.” He was the first one I’ve ever heard using the “Team” mindset, to promote (not just) his show. That stood out, to me.
The honesty, in this episode… especially having played with the devil, for many years, is refreshing. Found myself answering Mike’s questions (for Shawn), so many times. EXCELLENT show!!
Mr Ryan for what it's worth I find a great deal of value in your humility. Naturally my experience varies from yours. However, your experiences & lessons learned are relatable. I'm still in the middle stages of the journey so thank you for the affirmation. I dont like submitting these lengthy comments but communicating my appreciation on this anonymous platform is the least I can do in response to your offering. Thank you for sharing Shawn. Thank you for the medium, Mike
I’m watching this, I’m Mexican American and I dabbled in “gangs of the west coast and drugs” never got into it in this extreme way or ‘murdered anyone’, so always good to learn from others…
Mexican too. Parents took us to the Midwest when I was a baby to get away from that cholo Environment. Grew up great and im proud of what I have achieved so far. Keep your head up and work your ass off. We have a lot of opportunities here. More than we would ever get in Mexico. Mexico is in a terrible state right now. God bless

Thanks. You guys are great and thanks for for for your service. I was 1991 Arabian Gullf on CG53. So many things in this world that's worse than death.. Lost some gret people back them even though it was a short war. It always hits home and gives a different meaning when they crawl out of their bed into your lap sitting next to them when they're dying. I'll never get over all that. Awesome people.
Damn it... When Shawn said his opiate addiction started from hernia surgery... That just hit me hard because my son has to have this same surgery.... Oh man... I'm going to watch him hard.
Good to keep an eye on him for sure, but as the other commenter stated, they simply won’t prescribe him much, only for a few days, and won’t refill it.
Love these guys!!! Been with them both for a long time now!! Hands down the best content anyone could ask for. They make it look so effortless too. The amount of work that goes into a short video let alone an hour or 2 long session speaks volumes for their professionalism..
Great conversation, happy to hear yall discuss the positive effects people can get from psychedelics. I think its important for people to hear about it from someone resposible
Excellent interview!!!! I was completely captivated from beginning to end. Shawn I'm greatful you've turned your life around and are still with us. Thank you to the both of you for your service to our nation 👊
So happy Shawn has opened up about all of his personal struggles. It is so nice just to just not care what others think about you.I am sure while building up a following I think he may have been weary about opening up.The treatment has also seemed helped him so much.
I’m 23, waiting to do get off of ankle monitor so I can join the Army in 150 days. Hearing men I look up to like Shawn talk about overcoming adversity just proves to me more I can do and I will do it. Thanks for this
Love the show, this the team house, combat story & Shawn Ryan Show are hands down the best shows for this type of content/guests! Shawn's actually becoming a pretty damn good interviewer & in some ways an investigative journalist! Keep Killin' It guys.
Shawn you shocked me. I appreciate the honesty. Great respect for that. Proud of you ‼️ Mike see how you are … pulling stuff out people. Great job gentlemen
Watching Shawn now compared to before going down to have his Ibogaine treatment is like night and day! He looks so relaxed now. His body language is very calm. I cannot see any tension, fidgeting, or discomfort like before. It's great to see how much it helped him.
Powerful interview. I am a Vigilance Elite subscriber and Shawn mentioned this interview with a link in one of his videos. Glad I clicked the link, and look forward to checking out some Mike Drop content. Was great to hear more of Ryan’s experiences and dances with the devil. These podcasts or shows do great in showing the difference in perception vs reality. I’m sure this interview was more helpful than was initially realized for many.
Thanks Boyz for the awesome interview! Just FYI, majority of us California people are freedom loving, gun toting, steak eating American's! Nothing but love & respect from the Golden State!
thanks Shawn for telling your story. I watch this podcast but I have watched all of your Vigilance elite podcast and never new you went through all that. I have issues myself and overcame them and hearing this just makes me happy to be alive and have other people around me with the same problems. Thanks both of you.
Damn mike don’t hold back. These are the questions I think that a lot of people need. I was once quite deep into the ol toot myself and have gotten clean. It’s so much more common than people realize and this is an important discussion to have.
Had a real good friend, who was an airborne vet, kill himself in a similar state but he was successful and I think it is a strange emotion. He wanted to, and did. You wanted to but survived and have been able to tell the story. It’s quite important to recognize that if we target mental health as an issue, that these hard talks are made. Hashtag mental health ain’t shit if the cold hard shit ain’t brought up for people to relate to. And we go from there.
I’ve recently found both of your shows and it was a joy just to listen to you guys sit and have a conversation. Shawn’s struggle will give hope to someone that is still in that struggle. I know from experience. . Love you guys. Thanks for your service.
Man Mike and Sean are two of the best in the game. Mike your interview style is the best and major props to Sean for opening up and sharing your experience with addiction. You may not realize it but this content may save many lives of vets and or civilians dealing with these same issues. It takes some serious stones to admit and discuss your story man. Thanks to both of you for doing this for all of us on this side of the screen. Best one yet! Keep up the great work guys
You guys knocked it out of the park with this one.... I always.... always, learn something from both of you guys every time I tune into your pods... Thanks gentlemen
This is going to sound weird but I remember watching the first podcast Shawn did on Mikes show a few years ago and I remember thinking back then that he’s gonna come back on at some point in the future- in a better place mentally and perhaps even spiritually because of doing psychedelic drug treatment. It was around then when I first started to hear about veterans using those drugs to help with PTSD or even just help them reset after going to war and I just had a feeling that it would help Shawn and he would be willing to try it. I’m glad it worked out for him. That first podcast they did was probably my favorite one on this channel and near the top of my list out of all the ones I’ve ever heard.
Excellent podcast. I can identify with the addiction story very well. We've buried too many here in Louisiana for sure with a very similar story. The fentanyl is cut into the powders down here. Im in the music community here. I see more than i want to, i suppose. But lately it's a weekly funeral.😔
If Mike thinks we are overpopulated he needs to stay the hell out of big cities as much as possible. NPCs congest into cities, and honestly I'm fine with letting them. Sitting in traffic 1.5 hours per day or walking everywhere despite owning vehicles is not my idea of living.
The only overpopulation that’s happening is in 3rd world shitholes. All westernized countries are in a massive decline - especially anglos. There is more unmarried women than any time in history and wh1tes are way below replacement. You could fit the entire worlds population in Texas on 1 acre. The issue in the US is not overpopulation it’s unfettered immigration and leftist propaganda
@@kylemckinney_22 Yeah the 1st 20 minutes of this was absolute commie drivel. Population control is a globalist idea to sow division and weaken nations
California is two states. The liberal side which is the coast from LA to SF and including Sac. and then everything else is pretty much conservative of very centered but highly right leaning. San Diego is pretty conservative but has it's bat shit crazy pockets
The middle part of the state ie Bakersfield is very conservative and rural. A lot of people don’t think of this region when they think CA, yet you’re probably eating food harvested here
Thanks for being honest and strong enough to open your life and past. Im sure you never suspected things would grow into craziness. The important thing is you got a chance to get back on track. Its admirable to think of just how low you must have felt and stayed strong enough to not give up.
Just finished the new episode! My pastor always talks about using your hurt to heal others. Not sure if Shawn or Mike have ever heard that saying, but they do an amazing job of living this out. Wether it’s through them directly or their guests! Keep sending it gents!
It was so obvious by some of Mike's questions in regards to coke that he has never experienced that lifestyle.. I wish nothing but success and good health for Shawn and his family.
Hearing his journey makes me respect him that much more! Great interview Mike!
Mike, you and Shawn have both helped me stay sober and sane. Thank you🙏🏼 you both really mean a lot to me! You’re always appreciated🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice!
Heavy topics, real human conversation. Keep it going, you are the thought leaders we need in leadership.
Enjoy both of y’all’s podcast awesome to see y’all together discussing issues.
Lol nope hes pals with cluase shcuab and prime minister black face. He dont need pleb friends anymore.
You think you know a guy is an understatement Shawna man glad he’s still with us 🙏
Can't fn wait!! Every SR shown I watch I always want him in the hot seat!
Two of the best dudes on the youtubes interwebs right here.
You guys are the only podcasts I watch.
Damn Sean was playing a dangerous game in Columbia. They make examples of lone dealers in Mexico
He's a dangerous man.
Nah, he'd be slapping dealers around left and right man. 😄
@@9thchamber499 😂😂no doubt he probably would a few but they have the numbers and resources over there. Life's cheap in that part of the world.
Colombia
I’m watching this, I’m Mexican American and I dabbled in “gangs of the west coast and drugs” never got into it in this extreme way or ‘murdered anyone’, so always good to learn from others…
Mexican too. Parents took us to the Midwest when I was a baby to get away from that cholo Environment. Grew up great and im proud of what I have achieved so far. Keep your head up and work your ass off. We have a lot of opportunities here. More than we would ever get in Mexico. Mexico is in a terrible state right now. God bless
@@TitusandTesla I’m gonna feed the poor in Mexico 🇲🇽 🙇🏽♂️✝️❤️🔥🥹
Man tons of admiration it’s all I have for you guys and all you do.Keep doing the good things you are doing
Best interview I've seen since Ryan interviewed Ritland in episode one. Well done both of you. Lots of courage on display here..
I agree but I'd have to give the nod to the DJ Shipley interview that shit was intense and could easily be a movie
@@TheRDW710 yeah..agreed. that was intense. Hard to find any issues with any of the podcasts. Happy for Sean, his mirror image for a son and a wife who has his back.
Two of the best human beings that currently walk this earth. Thankyou both. From an Irishman in Australia.
Excellent, I was curious to hear the update from Shawn. I’m glad Ritland is covering it.
Shawn, God definitely has a plan for you. Powerful testimony, thank you for doing that.
Thank you to both of you guys. Great show as always!
Awesome show. Thanks for sharing your story Shawn you’re the man.
This interview is something I needed to hear. Shawn, I appreciate your candor. It helped me out.
Damn! That segment about Chief Eddie Gallagher gave me goosebumps!
@Vigilance Elite Shawn....thank's for opening up and sharing...incredible...you make this world a better place...make sure you stick around.
Shawn "And ummm" Ryan LOL love ya brother. Great interview fellas!
Don't worry...Shawn had it when doctors could actually prescribe pain meds...they're watched like hawks nowadays.
Good to keep an eye on him for sure, but as the other commenter stated, they simply won’t prescribe him much, only for a few days, and won’t refill it.
Mine started at 15 with a dental procedure becareful with those dentists too.but this was almost 30yrs ago they don't prescribe like they used too
Love these guys!!!
Two favorite podcast. Love the episodes you guys have each other on. Good stuff 👍
So happy Shawn has opened up about all of his personal struggles. It is so nice just to just not care what others think about you.I am sure while building up a following I think he may have been weary about opening up.The treatment has also seemed helped him so much.
Gonna be an awesome show! Thanks Mike!
Proud of you ‼️
Mike see how you are …
pulling stuff out people.
Great job gentlemen
I am SO looking forward to this!!!! 🙌🏻
Watching Shawn now compared to before going down to have his Ibogaine treatment is like night and day! He looks so relaxed now. His body language is very calm. I cannot see any tension, fidgeting, or discomfort like before. It's great to see how much it helped him.
@@SG-MT It is very easy to notice the improvement.I am trying to get ahold of him and talking about Kratom to help people as well.
Keeping it real - love it! Btw my fave interview of Shawn's was with DJ Shipley.
Thanks Boyz for the awesome interview! Just FYI, majority of us California people are freedom loving, gun toting, steak eating American's! Nothing but love & respect from the Golden State!
Amazing love Shawn Ryan so looking forward to this!
thanks Shawn for telling your story. I watch this podcast but I have watched all of your Vigilance elite podcast and never new you went through all that. I have issues myself and overcame them and hearing this just makes me happy to be alive and have other people around me with the same problems. Thanks both of you.
Mike Definitely has the nose to take down half of Colombia..
Good Show
Damn mike don’t hold back.
Finally Shawn knows what it feels like to hear "That's crazy 😐"
I’ve recently found both of your shows and it was a joy just to listen to you guys sit and have a conversation. Shawn’s struggle will give hope to someone that is still in that struggle. I know from experience. . Love you guys. Thanks for your service.
Will be watching it at work tonight. Will let my coworkers know. They're all vets too.
Mike’s show and Shawn’s show are the only two I trust as far as opinions on the current problems in the USA
this is gonna be a good one. thank you gentlemen
We both really appreciate the support. Thank you for tuning in.
Oh and thank you for the open honesty Shawn that was awesome made me feel better about myself a little lol. If you been there , thank you.
If Mike thinks we are overpopulated he needs to stay the hell out of big cities as much as possible. NPCs congest into cities, and honestly I'm fine with letting them. Sitting in traffic 1.5 hours per day or walking everywhere despite owning vehicles is not my idea of living.
With a wife and marriage like mine sitting in traffic for 2 hours after work on the way home is my peace and quite and the highlight of my day
@@Kwisatz_HaderachXIII Start A "Divorce Lawyer Fund" immediately. I hope you don't have kids, good luck!
Exactly, was kind of surprised he said that. Like look at Wyoming or even the continent of Africa, etc. So many ares of just land (non-farmland9
@@kylemckinney_22 Yeah the 1st 20 minutes of this was absolute commie drivel. Population control is a globalist idea to sow division and weaken nations
Great work Mike, keep up the great shows, K9 training and leadership🙏
Nice!
Appreciate Shawn being vulnerable n honest during this cast, hats off to him..Once again, thanks to the both of you for your service!!
A lot of people don’t think of this region when they think CA, yet you’re probably eating food harvested here
@@kschoeck That's why I said coast. the central valley is basically a whole other state. A lot of people think California is all Los Angeles
Thanks for being honest and strong enough to open your life and past. Im sure you never suspected things would grow into craziness. The important thing is you got a chance to get back on track. Its admirable to think of just how low you must have felt and stayed strong enough to not give up.
Our population isn't blowing up because of Americans reproducing. Population rise is due to our gov operation open boarder and flying them here.
Thanks for opening up about all these things. Helps people get through their own issues.
Just finished the new episode! My pastor always talks about using your hurt to heal others. Not sure if Shawn or Mike have ever heard that saying, but they do an amazing job of living this out. Wether it’s through them directly or their guests! Keep sending it gents!
So happy to find this one. Mike and Shawn are my go to podcasts and have massive respect for them both.
It was so obvious by some of Mike's questions in regards to coke that he has never experienced that lifestyle.. Much respect to him for staying out of that whole game and i commend Shawn for his honesty about his struggles with addiction in his past.. You can only speak so frankly when you have truly overcame the strong hold of addiction.. Thanks to both of you fine men, great interview as always!
A man like Mike would be one hell of a president!!
WOW! What and interview..... Blown away! Shawn opened up and poured his heart out. This will be helpful for everybody to admit their mistakes and get back up to keep moving in the positive way. Shawn thanks! WOW! I love your interview show. Keep'em coming! I want you to be bigger than Rogan! WOW! Thanks!
Thank you so much for you opening up Shawn! God bless you and your family hoss! Yep this is definitely a Mic Drop! Damn good show!!!!
I feel the need to comment on what I just took in but can't seem to intelligently formulate my thoughts and say something meaningful. I can relate to anxiety and anger...and love the statement made about being the thermometer in the room. I hope I did right by my kids and my GSD's. One hell of an interview
Shawn I'm proud of you man. Keep up the good work. You too, Mike.
I agree with what both of y’all said. I gotta say though it’s hard to watch these because it’s a constant reminder of how messed up things are going. Not trying to preach my lifestyle but I just choose to have faith, keep doing my own thing in life while being a good example to other people. Shawn and Mike, y’all are both solid friggin guys. Thanks to both of y’all I’ve been following both of y’all for a while. Hopefully as a country and a species we fulfill the circle and retune our country and planet to where we should be. Cheers fellas and greetings from Louisiana.
Absolutely love & respect both of you! Thank you Shawn & Mike for this fabulous down to earth podcast. It's honestly truly appreciated. I pray for both of you and all ur fellow teammates. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ for y'alls service & sacrifices.
Thank God your still with us brother Shawn! Keep the faith and trust in God always! Much love to you and brother Mike!
"Grab a pen bit**" That was great!
Awesome episode guys, keep fighting the good fight!!
