Can confirm! From Ottawa, my first concert was the smashing pumpkins followed by Neil Young the next month. People don't talk enough about how active he was during that time. Pearl jam toured as his backing band for an entire album in the 90's. God father indeed 😁

The Squires,Buffalo Springfield, Crazy Horse, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, the Blue notes, Neil Young and the International harvesters, Did an album with Pearl Jam, kicked the singer out for awhile, heh heh, sort of, all sorts of different live aid type deals, yada yada, new stuff out this year.. Owns Lionel Trains, Hank Williams seniors guitar, blah blah blah. Check out live in Hyde park, doing a day in the life Beatles song, with Paul McCartney on stage in awe. Another powerful song is about alcohol which he calls ‘The Old Laughing Lady.’
“He loves his old laughing lady,

Love Neil Young, his Live Rust album has been played in our home frequently for over 30 years now. The album just turned 40 years old, but I was too young to listen when it was first recorded.😁 I didn't like his music at first, but it grew on me after a few listens, one of my favorites is Sugar Mountain. ❤️ But songs like Heart of Gold or Cinnamon Girl are easier to listen to. Neil still plays at the Farm Aid concerts every year along with a lot of other musicians to raise money to help the farmers in this country. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp started it in 1985, this year is the 35th anniversary. On Saturday, Sept 26th they are still having a show and it will be on AXS TV from 8-11 pm EDT and it will be streamed here on Farm Aid's youtube channel too. It's a virtual show this year unfortunately, it might be weird with out the live audience, but still worth checking out for a few minutes at least! 😊✌️

This was recorded in England for the BBC, back in '71 or thereabouts! He was about 26 years old then, having written the song two years earlier. Neil is now a sprightly 75 years old still rocking out and putting the rest of his generation to shame! If you can find the time, please do a reaction to his song 'Revolution Blues', which among other things is about Charles Manson, who Neil knew before the shit hit the fan!! Keep up the good work bro'! ✌🇬🇧

This was nice. It was nice to really listen to this song and relax to it. These comments have me thinking. It's like when we see older people and realize they actually were young at some point and had lives like ours. We don't think old people were ever young and don't think we'll ever be old.

Got to visit his childhood home once (friend of mines grandma owned it at the time)....the Grandma made us tea and told us the story of when Bob Dylan visited just cause he wanted to see where Neil grew up...almost fell out of my chair when she said Bob Dylan...didn't believe her til she showed us the picture they took together at the front door

Good ol folk music. Songs with stories and meaning, music with heart and love in it. Just a man, an instrument or two, and an open window into his soul.

A man and a guitar, can fill your soul with such emotion. I think this was released in 1972, property was cheap in CA then. Beautiful reaction watching you get lost in it.

Funny that you should mention that you live in Ohio. Neil Young wrote a song called Ohio, in protest of what happened at Kent State, before you were born.

I remember the first time I heard this song. Was on my laptop playing a game or something. With the TV on in the background on PBS, just for background noise. Not paying attention to it. But they happened to play this very video, not sure what program it was but they were playing this very music video on PBS. But it caught my attention and I looked up and listen to the rest of the song, then immediately downloaded it and have listen to it and many more Neil Young songs since.
