Neil Young is probably one of my all time favorite "old school" rockers, and "Old Man" probably one of my all time favorites by him. If you haven't heard it before, check out "Sugar Mountain". It's one of the lessor played/known tunes and it's so damned sweet.

Heart of Gold is somehow even better. the reason they push this great music back is because the way it just made you feel... you felt the love inherent in it, and we live in a society that is pushing hard to have everyone living in fear.

Every generation goes through its growing pains. The issues may not be exactly the same, but we all have had to work our way through them. Therefore, because we are so similar in our experiences, we should respect each other and try to better understand what each generation has or is dealing with. That's what this song means to me.

Hey James! Great Song, I love that he looked at someone older and can see himself looking for love and purpose. The line where he said ...doesn’t mean that much to me to mean that much to you... that really hit me like how we really don’t appreciate how much we mean to older people who really love us so much. Great Reaction!

Beautiful reaction. Old Man was my Dad’s favourite song. He passed away in January of this year of ALS at 75. We had such a wonderful relationship, and music gave us an amazing connection. Neil Young is such a talented Canadian icon, and all of his music resonates with me 🇨🇦. He is also very prolific, creating music for over 50 years , from Buffalo Springfield, CSNY, with Crazy Horse and solo. A few of my favourites, For What It’s Worth (Buffalo Springfield), Ohio (CSNY), Needle and the Damage Done, My My Hey Hey, Long May You Run (with Steven Stills), Cinnamon Girl. Love that your Grandpa suggested to this. ❤️

Played this at my nephew's funeral. He was only 21. Perfect for him and his father. We buried him close to his dad's home so he's rolling home to him

I was 20 years old when I 1st heard this song. I loved it then, but now I am a few months away from turning 69 and it means much more to me. Tell your Grandfather there are many of us old guys who would drink a virtual beer, or cup of coffe with him.

It's all good brother. Great reaction to a great song. Now you have to do "Heart of Gold" "After the Gold Rush" or "Harvest Moon"

@DemisRoussosRocks it's a beautiful idea. It reminds me of an old Harlan Ellison story, Phoenix Without Ashes, a Canadian tv series called the Starlost. My internal geek shining through.

This is my first time watching your reactions. You are right that the wisdom of the old music is valuable. I really appreciated this reaction.
