Late to the party as well but if you like the art here you would definitely like the cover art for Motionless in White’s album “creatures”-- completely different genres though
I dont know how a band can release so many albums that are so good. I can put on any Queens CD and its just easy listening. Josh Homme is a fucking genius. Queens are right up there with the best ever.

2013 was an amazing year for music. ...Like Clockwork from Qotsa, Hesitation Marks from Nine Inch Nails, AM from Arctic Monkeys, Yeezus from Kanye, and Good Kid, MAAD City from Kendrick.
REALLY cool video if you've watched the rest. Of course, the music is what we're here for, and I gotta say, QOTSA does not disappoint. They just get better and better.
the first thing that came in to my head when I saw the title was George Carlin when he talked about "my god is the sun, because I can actually see it, and it actually gives me life!" I know it's irrelevant, but still
Jacob De Paz the guy didn't say all life.. so Yes! the same could be said about toast. Tell me this.. what keep the +/- of life not cancelling each other out. Slice of toast to whoever can answer.
I'm so glad they've finally released a video for this song! I really like how all the videos are interconnected and all appear relevant to the tone and feeling of each song!
After searching this song on youtube, I saw the video for the album (the 15 minute one) with the partial songs and whatnot, and the artist absolutely captured my heart. The artist is Boneface, for those of you who want/need to know.
It feels as only yesterday that i heard this song for the first time. It's been nearly 6 years and this band has become my favourite ever. Long live QOTSA!!
This video, combined with all the rest, in my mind is the greatest musical short film of all time, if not in the past few decades. It shows incredible detail/art, the stories of four characters largely done through metaphor, incredible songs, an interconnecting storyline, and an all-enveloping presence that is so massive that it seems omniscient. I don't know how they did it, but I think this album might somehow top Songs for the Deaf.
the band in a while is one of the best I am so surprised when some of my friends have no idea who they are in die a little when they..who..very underrated..every song is a masterpiece..
I watched these videos when I was younger (I'm 15) and when I just found them after YEARS OF SEARCHING, I woke up this morning and felt like today was the day I found it
have just watched a live acoustic version of this at bbc radio 1 maider vale....brilliant, just the two of them, felt compelled to listen to the original again, what a bloody awsome song
I was so fucking happy when I saw the guy from "I Appear Missing" get back up. Not sure why, but that was probably my favorite one. Aside from this though, seeing all of the stories come together being done so perfectly was astounding. Not gonna lie though, I did predict the loop at the end from the very beginning. Either way, bravo QOTSA, and thanks for the godly music.
@@pessoagato8844 Joey only played a few songs, and this was not one of them. If you look up the personnel listings on the web you'll see that it was Dave that played the drums on this.
I honestly think QOTSA should do an acoustic album. They're so awesome at making their songs acoustic, when they appear on the radio, and their acoustic cover of blurred lines by Robin Thicke, was better than the original. Top class songs on this album ,and can't wait to see you guys @ Wembley in November!
I can't listen to this song without being reminded of the last couple of chapters of Dune. It just feels like some sort of futuristic space rock opera final battle scene. Plus, son god reminds me of the desert even though the Fremen god is more so water and Paul
Is no one gonna talk about how amazing this art is? I love it, it adds to the gritty apocalyptic vibe of the album
I KNOW RIGHT?!?? WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THIS
I know I'm 8 years late to your comment, but the name of the artist that does QOTSA's album cover is called BoneFace if u want to check him out

Word
Facts, my brother found this band about a year ago. I'm just getting into this band now though. So good man.
Dude I don't think it's even possible to explain how good this band is
I'm still waiting for a hall of fame induction for them. They're that good
One of the most important bands of the last 25 years, easily!
[Verse 1]
Far beyond the desert road
Where everything ends up
So good, the empty space
Mental erase, forgive, forgot
[Chorus]
Heal them, like fire from a gun
Kneeling, my god is the sun
Heal them with fire from above
Kneeling, my god is the sun
[Verse 2]
Well, I don't know what time it was
I don't wear a watch
So good to be an ant who crawls
Atop a spinning rock
(Beyond)
[Chorus]
Heal them, like fire from a gun
Kneeling, my god is the sun
Heal them with fire from above
Kneeling, my god is the sun
Yeah
Heal them, like fire from a gun
Kneeling, my god is the Sun
Healing, kneeling
Godless heathens
[Outro]
Godless heathens
Always want from the sky
ASTOLFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally a amazing musician, who is still alive from the 90s thank the sun he didn't die like the rest.
Josh Homme and Dave Grohl can never go wrong together... And yes, for anyone who doesn't know, Dave plays drums on this song.
Definitely has his signature

Why does this whole album sound like it's something Josh has been building up to for his entire career up to this point?
Felt the same.

the first thing that came in to my head when I saw the title was George Carlin when he talked about "my god is the sun, because I can actually see it, and it actually gives me life!" I know it's irrelevant, but still
Not irrelevant if you have seen spirit science, or heard of khemitology.
In fairness.. Same could be said about toast. God is our God >
