Well he is called EPIC nate for a reason, and this frequent, amusing, comic sentence probably helps a bit. Personally, it kinda reminds me of my dad, since he likes to say: "I'll kill you till you die from it" just to be goofy. Also in a Mexican accent for some reason, not sure why since all my ancestors stem from from English royalty from long ago. Nate putting on that accent would ruin the effect in my opinion, it just doesn't match. As an irelevent question, do any of you know the ID for the giant loaf of bread shown in one of Nate's previous videos? I accidentally sold Cuddle Loaf (That's its name) and didn't realize until it was too late and the trades recent. Apparently, it's so uncommonly known that I can hardly find the slightest clue to its existence on the internet, much less the ID to respawn it in. Even though I love Cuddle Loaf, I had made far too much progress for me to be willing to load a previous save just for that. If nobody knows, then may Cuddle Loaf reset in piece(s).
There is something that most people miss - when you defeat the first dragon, if you have subtitles on you can see he says "Dovahkiin! No!" before dying and getting his soul reaped.
that's actually a bit of broken code. There is actually voice for that, the game just doesn't play it for some stupid reason, unless you get a modder's patch.
I was super impressed to discover that most of the music that you can hear on Solstheim, especially near Raven Rock, is the music from TES3: Morrowind. I really appreciate musical references and subtle themes carried across to signify certain people and places. :)
Well, Solstheim is under Dunmers after the Empire gave them right to establish colony after Red Mountain incident. So, it makes sense for Bethesda to use the TES3 soundtrack, not to mention it also saves them cost and hypes the nostalgia among players.
Good golly. After all the talk about Horker Island, you didn't even mention that this was the source of the name for a major pirate group in the main game (quest Rise in the East)? Read Saden's journal again. He wasn't a reaver, but a member of a nameless gang of pirates based on Japhet's Folly. The pirate leader sent two pirates out to Horker Island. One returned to bear the tale, which obviously prompted the gang to choose the name "Blood Horkers".
If I am not mistaken just to the north on another small island off the north east coast of solthsheim there can be found the king of the Nirn root, a giant Nirn root about 10 times larger than all others!
Merilar has a note on her body about chanting and unnatural growling. The chanting is from the word wall and the growling is from a black book. Hearing the chanting is a sign that she is a possible Dragon Born just like the player.
Tomb Keeper13 potentially, but my theory is that since the black book is relatively close to the word wall, the wall can perhaps sense Miraak's presence in apocrypha through the black book and thus chants. After all, no one said that followers and bystanders couldn't hear or witness the wall while the Dragonborn player approached it.
I can’t remember where else in the game, but I know at least one other NPC can hear the word walls that isn’t capable of shouting. Besides, only the gods create the Dragonborn, you can’t just become one by random chance.
nah, there's a redguard dude in Solitude who also mentions that nordic dungeons have 'talking walls' (referring to the wordcwalls), so unless he's dragonborn too i guess everyone can hear the word wall but only a dragonborn can read it and gain the word
I loved solstheim in Skyrim (sadly I never played morrowind) but despite having missed the opportunity for a nostalgic boost to the experience of this dlc, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere and quests and characters and locations, items and upgrades and incentives to keep playing, make it one of the best dlcs of any game. Dark souls 1-3 had some good dlcs too, and Witcher 3. And so far I’m doing nuka world and far harbor so I’ll see how those stack up once I’m done. But yeah- this was a great dlc.
There is a werebear tribe in Solsthiem and if you are a werewolf they will allow you to hang with them instead of attacking you . I found that to be quite interesting . :)

Vingalmo, one of the higher-ranking vampires in Castle Volkihar, is mentioned in the in-game book 'Night of Tears'. Apparently, before he became a vampire, he was a scholar of history who wrote about ancient elves.
I ran into a wood elf on Solesteim in a novice mage robe. He kept saying he was going to fly like a dragon. He put down his arms and cast a spell towards the ground and flew straight up out of sight and fell back to the ground to die. In his possession was a paper called Diary of a Madman where he talks about ripping pages from the Black Book.
There's actually an Easter egg within the spider easter egg. The glowing spider and the pack spider cannot be crafted but the data for them is in the game. The glowing one is basically a candlelight spell and the pack one can carry stuff :)
When the Greybeards summon the Dragonborn, you hear a boom similar to when you shout. This means that "Dovahkiin" is a dragon shout. They shout it like the Dragonborn summoning Odahviin. This also means that the REAL CANON name of the dragonborn is Dovahkiin. If the Dragonborn was an actual dragon, Dovahkiin would be his name
Makhail Oliver You're right about everything except that being their name...it's their title that they're born with and Dragonborn is just the translation of it from the dragon tongue 'Dovahkiin'. Miraak is also Dovahkiin but his name is Miraak.

Hi Nate! I recently started a new playthrough & haven't been back to Solstheim yet, so this will come in handy. I love the Horker Island 1 as well, & I don't think I ever really went through it last time. I dig the arachnid one, too. So, my 1st reaction in finding she was also a recurring character was to hear a really loud "My, my, my, MY Verona!" to the tune of "My Sherona," in my head. I definitely remembered Neloth, as my heart lies with my 1st Elder Scrolls game, Morrowind. I joined the Telvanni (& House Hlaalu, thru a glitch exploitation that allowed both) & I remember Neloth being a d--k, even then. :D I think I had to steal something from him at some point, & he was tough to fight, if he noticed, as it was in a small room, with him always inside of it. I managed it, though, without killing him. But, I think you COULD kill him. If any players did, they will have to invent an excuse for him living & being in this game. He IS a wizard, though, & deals with dead & reanimation, as evidenced in this quest in Skyrim, so an explanation can be easily inferred. Keep 'em comin' Nate.
There are quite a few player home mods that feature an imbuing chamber. In your home. Where your spouse and children could be living. And the machine will most likely be in your poorly-ventilated cellar.
5:00 Actually Bethesda has done this before. For example you can find an npc called Sergius Turrianus in both Skyrim and Oblivion. In Skyrim he's the College of Winterhold's enchanter, and in Oblivion a blacksmith added by the Battlehorn Castle DLC. As far as I'm aware, they have absolutely no relation to eachother.
You have to remember how powerful the mage she's working for is, she could be a powerful sorcerer but what she could learn from someone who deservingly thinks Savos magic comprehension is child play is probably worth playing assistant....
Not Related to the Dragonborn DLC But in the Dawnguard if you choose to become a Vampire Lord That means Dovahkiin The Master of the Thu'um, The Savior of The World, Would have submitted to the lust of power by becoming an Invincible blood-thirsty (Literately) Monster.
I have not played skyrim but I've been watching your videos and they are very helpful and so I will be able to be really good whenever I get it on my switch
I'm just waiting for one of these videos to open with something along the lines of: "Alright guys, Nate here. You know the drill so let's just get to it"

In Skyrim he's the College of Winterhold's enchanter, and in Oblivion a blacksmith added by the Battlehorn Castle DLC. As far as I'm aware, they have absolutely no relation to eachother.
Just when I think I know everything in Skyrim.... you just prove me wrong Nate!
You have to remember how powerful the mage she's working for is, she could be a powerful sorcerer but what she could learn from someone who deservingly thinks Savos magic comprehension is child play is probably worth playing assistant....
The last one was the most interesting. I thought only the Dragonborn could hear those word walls.
Love the skin on that Horker mace
Anyone know what mod that is
Joshua Ludlow most likely, 'unique uniques'.
Not Related to the Dragonborn DLC But in the Dawnguard if you choose to become a Vampire Lord
That means Dovahkiin The Master of the Thu'um, The Savior of The World, Would have submitted to the lust of power by becoming an Invincible blood-thirsty (Literately) Monster.
Anyone else notice how the horker at 2:11 seems to be using Levitation magic, which was banned in the end of the 3rd era? Spooky...
Lord tusk is so horkerly, that he can float lol
Thanks for doing what you do, Nate.
I have not played skyrim but I've been watching your videos and they are very helpful and so I will be able to be really good whenever I get it on my switch
Great vids bro keep up the great content 👍
2:07 “He’ll be floating proudly”
To me the biggest mystery of Solstheim is: which end is the face of a Netch and which end is his rear???
Verona’s problem? Probably resetting all of their mage talents with the legendary system and forgetting to retrain those skills.
"more than Adam Sandler has movies".
*Nicholas Cage secretly shades a single tear*
Lord tusk is so powerful it actually floats.
"More quests than Adam Sandler has movies" lollll 😂😂
" more quests than Adam Sandler has movies....."
Damn. That's a lot
I'm just waiting for one of these videos to open with something along the lines of:
"Alright guys, Nate here. You know the drill so let's just get to it"
Yo nate I'm still waiting for that second herobrine prank man
I knew all of these except at 3:53 I never noticed the creepy wax-like human face on the front of the Silt Strider O.O
At 5:00 what is that weird bug dog with Revus Sarvani? I assume it's from a mod but what is the creature called? Is it a canon one or just one made up by a fan?
Unwinding Amoeba Nix-Hound ..they're cannon and common in ESO
PervySage ah thanks, haven't played that one so this is my first time seeing one
Its an understatement to say that I am in love with skyrim
I love your vids man have a like and keep it up I love skyrim ❤️❤️❤️
@4:54 Why was there a shadow of a cliff racer going by?
