    Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!

    I made this for my family for lunch today. Actually doubled it so we would have lunches for the week. I added an extra minute of cook time since I doubled the recipe. Turned out PERFECT! I used my stick blender instead of a masher (because that’s what I had) and it was great! Thank you for your recipes.

    I was craving potato soup and came across this recipe. Just finished eating two bowls of it and it tasted great. Made it as the recipe is written (except adding 2 cups of milk instead of the 1 cup) the extra cup of milk made the soup a little thinner but the flavors still came through!

    Do NOT use hot water from the tap, your water heater is full of hard metals and trash, sitting at the bottom. ALWAYS use cold water, and heat it yourself.

    • @Disappointed739
      @Disappointed739 4 роки тому +1

      FYI your hot water heater has an anode that needs replacing every two years that keeps the metals and junk to a very low level. Ask your plumber and your water department about your water quallity. They know your specific area's water quality issues.

    • @colleenhutchison4794
      @colleenhutchison4794 Рік тому

      If anyone is interested, I used cavatappi pasta and cooked 5 minutes. It was good, but we all agreed that potatoes were better. HOWEVER...when we went to get leftovers, it had turned into a really, really yummy mac and cheese kind of dish! So, I would repeat if I was low or out of potatoes, preferably with a smaller pasta, and look forward to the awesome loaded baked potato flavored mac afterwards!

    Just got my mini instant pot and I get so frustrated because most of the recipes don't say what size of instant pot they are using. @fairyspunfibers9098 4 роки тому +1

      Rutabagas? Turnips have too strong a taste for me, but "rutas" aren't bad, at all - quite good, actually. Taro root, another good one, BUT it's highly starchy, so if that's what you're avoiding, probably not a good idea.
      If you use cauliflower, fling in some broccoli along with all the rest of the ingredients (don't forget the cheddar!), and you'll have a wonderful soup!

      If you don’t want to use pork, use butter as the fat. Sauté the onions in the melted butter for flavor, since you’re losing a lot flavor without the bacon. Ham is a good alternative, but if you aren’t using pork/meat that’s ok too.
