Reese Wynans, Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, all gifted in their fields. Takes an ear and a special breed of human to anticipate what Stevie was gonna do next. Reese is the man on keys. He's one that never got what he deserved in recognition.

They were all so tuned into What Stevie was doing to take the most subtle cues from him to know whether they were going up or taking it down. Stevie drove the beat but he never knew where he was going which made every performance fresh and different. Reece Wynans, the keyboardist, said he was struck by the very tight and precise performance of Jeff Beck when they went on tour with them. He said it so contrasted their playing which he described as free and unfettered. That's the best way to play music🎸🎶‼️

Stevie made sure that they each got paid the same. So HE recognized them. And yes, that was atypical.

Rhys' solo on "Look at Little Sister" was phenomenal. So good. But this is a little too jazzy for me.

Stevie on the end of he's carrer gained in one year 7 grammy awards for the best blues of the year, best guitar player, best blues player etc.. and for the song "RUDE MOOD'' (he played 13gauge strings that basically nowone can play that because is so heavy, and the fact that he's and average skinny dude just adds to that)., but i think you shoul watch stevie in hes early years on the song DIRTY POOL playing in montreaux. he wrote that song whit +- 15y old. Or TEXAS FLOOD to really see why he was such unique. congratz on th react, really nice.

Sorry but your numbers are off. Stevie won 6 Grammys throughout his career, most after he died. You dont win a grammy for best guitar player. RIP SRV.

SRV is his own genre: Awsome. Because whatever style he does it's on point. And of course he has a super talented band keeping up with him. The artists show respect to each other's talents. It's the fans that are divisive. The piano player was definitely having the time of his musical life. That's what great artists do, they bring out the best in each other.

You made a comment on the other video reaction about him being as good as Jimmy Hendrix there was an interview where someone compares him to Hendrix and he says there is and will only be one Jimmi Hendrix and that when he plays he tries to do the best he can and not mess up here is another fun fact Stevie played custom ordered 13 gauge strings

    • @stevenpuckitt212

Important to note though that he played heavier gauges because he detuned his guitar. It's not in standard tuning for most of their songs. Heavier gauge strings are a lot more manageable at lower tunings, and in most cases necessary.

The best! live better than studio at times. Watched several new vids of newbies; everyone seems very happy: they are making guitar faces! "shake for me" "testify". Doesn't even matter if they show close-ups of him playing for people to figure it out, you can't do it.

Believers may appreciate your apology for the “Oh my god” BUT,… give yourself a pat on the back because Gods name was never spoken. You’re good. There are gods of cooking, super gods of rock, and lords and ladies, landlords, etc. not once was a NAME spoken so take it easy on yourself it’s just a title not a name.
