Reese Wynans, Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, all gifted in their fields. Takes an ear and a special breed of human to anticipate what Stevie was gonna do next. Reese is the man on keys. He's one that never got what he deserved in recognition.
They were all so tuned into What Stevie was doing to take the most subtle cues from him to know whether they were going up or taking it down. Stevie drove the beat but he never knew where he was going which made every performance fresh and different. Reece Wynans, the keyboardist, said he was struck by the very tight and precise performance of Jeff Beck when they went on tour with them. He said it so contrasted their playing which he described as free and unfettered. That's the best way to play music🎸🎶‼️
Stevie made sure that they each got paid the same. So HE recognized them. And yes, that was atypical.
I agree with you!
Rhys' solo on "Look at Little Sister" was phenomenal. So good. But this is a little too jazzy for me.
SRV ~ 🎸🐐
**Life Without You at Capitol Theater **
**Texas Flood at El Macambo**
**Voodoo Child at Starwood Theater in Nashville**
^he ain’t lying about that list
What Jack said🎸🎶‼️
Stevie on the end of he's carrer gained in one year 7 grammy awards for the best blues of the year, best guitar player, best blues player etc.. and for the song "RUDE MOOD'' (he played 13gauge strings that basically nowone can play that because is so heavy, and the fact that he's and average skinny dude just adds to that)., but i think you shoul watch stevie in hes early years on the song DIRTY POOL playing in montreaux. he wrote that song whit +- 15y old. Or TEXAS FLOOD to really see why he was such unique. congratz on th react, really nice.
Sorry but your numbers are off. Stevie won 6 Grammys throughout his career, most after he died. You dont win a grammy for best guitar player. RIP SRV.
Double Trouble is one of the greatest bands to ever play!!!!!! Seen them live sooooo many times backing up Stevie!!!!!! So says Stephen in Austin Tx!!!!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎🍸
Nice pick! This was the first song I heard that made me an instant SRV fan. For a slower track, his live version of Little Wing is a must-see!
''THIS'' is the MASTER!
It is a must for you to react to Texas Flood at El Macambo. Mind Blown-Enough said!
Texas flood at El Mocombo if you haven’t already 👌🏾👌🏾
You want to see how good he was you should check ou his guitar sound check where he is wearing a leopard coat and keep in mind that it is just a sound check and he had just woke up a few minutes before coming on stage
Props for recognizing the rest of the band ...
Whenever Stevie looks over at the keyboards and says “get em Reese”…this is what you get! The guy was a monster on the keyboards! I hadn’t seen this vid yet…and I’ve been a lifelong SRV fan. Thanks!! 👍🏼
Reese joined Joe Bonamassa's band. Still amazing. Joe will blow you away also!!
Try Texas Flood or Mary Had a Little Lamb.
What you just witnessed is one of the best bands of all time Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. They are all incredible. RIP Stevie.
Everyone of them brought out the best they could offer in talent with one another
Roses are red
Violets are blue
When I listen to Stevie Ray
My neighbors do too !
SRV ~ RIP
Reese Wynans on the piano AMAZING.
He is the.GOAT PERIOD!
Keyboard player is backing up Joe Bonamassa and whipper is playing drums with KWS. They were my band back in the day. RIP Stevie
you're not going to find anything better than this.
Mary Had A Little Lamb Live One Night In Austin Texas
My first time hearing this song and OMG!!! THANK YOU for sharing this masterpiece! This is my new favorite.
This band are so tight, Damn we miss srv and his band
SRV is his own genre: Awsome. Because whatever style he does it's on point. And of course he has a super talented band keeping up with him. The artists show respect to each other's talents. It's the fans that are divisive. The piano player was definitely having the time of his musical life. That's what great artists do, they bring out the best in each other.
I saw you were reacting to Stevie Ray Vaughan... and I was here, and subscribed!! So looking forward to your reaction!! 💙 💙 💙 💙 💙
If you want to see a True Soul Song, you gotta listen to *Tin Pan Alley Live with Johnny Copeland* listen to the words. Stevie can sing the sound quality of the mick in this video is crappy... and Stevie don't sweat he dripps soul! hahaha
So the next one you have to react to is another Jimi Handrix cover... "Little Wing".
You still havent heard "TEXAS FLOOD LIVE AT ELMOCAMBO" -guarantee you will be even MORE amazed at his abiltities
The look is Clint Eastwood spaghetti western. LOVING IT!!!
Texas Flood, Live at El Macambo is a must, it will blow you away.
This is an original Stevie song you should also check life without you and ain’t gonna give up on love both also live at the Capital Theater.
Reese on keys can NOW be seen playing with Bonnamassa
The Pianist is Reece Wynans.
First time I heard this song. So glad the pianist is featured. He is fantastic, and he brought the jamming to a fever pitch. Have you reacted to his "Texas Flood" yet? You are in for a treat, if you decide to do it.
I believe I have Sandra 🙏
This was so good man! Please do Mary had a little Lamb and Tin pan alley with jonny copeland next!
Gotta be good to get on stage with SRV
Keyboard player Reese Wynans now plays with Joe Bonamassa.
Texas Flood at the El Mocambo.
Hey man, salute from CCTX! RIP SRV!
You made a comment on the other video reaction about him being as good as Jimmy Hendrix there was an interview where someone compares him to Hendrix and he says there is and will only be one Jimmi Hendrix and that when he plays he tries to do the best he can and not mess up here is another fun fact Stevie played custom ordered 13 gauge strings
SRV is much better than Hendrix... He was just too humble to say so.
@@barbarascotto3873 this is true I saw an interview with Chris Layton and he was talking about Stevie and he said as long as they was together he only said man I was good 1 time and he said Stevie never thought he was as good as he was
@@shirleybuffington6420 yes Stevie was very humble. He would never say he was better than Hendrix.... or anyone else for that matter.... but he was.
Important to note though that he played heavier gauges because he detuned his guitar. It's not in standard tuning for most of their songs. Heavier gauge strings are a lot more manageable at lower tunings, and in most cases necessary.
Thanks. So fun! Nice job with this too. 👏 my favorite..
Want to watch him as a GOAT…” Texas Flood”….behind his back genius.
The best! live better than studio at times. Watched several new vids of newbies; everyone seems very happy: they are making guitar faces! "shake for me" "testify". Doesn't even matter if they show close-ups of him playing for people to figure it out, you can't do it.
The GOAT….
Nicely done!
welcome to america baby.
Reese Wynans is amazing on keys. He is with Joe Bonamassa`s band ( amazing guitarist now a days) Reese still can tickle those ivories) check out Joe Bonamassa. Yes- blues. Lol. Dang - I have never heard this song. Amazing
Rock on.
For slow blues listen to Lenny, composed for his then wife, and Riviera Paradise. Also his strings are 13 gauge. Think bass size. Thanks for discovering his genius. Helps take me back to when I first SRV.
G.O.A.T.
SRV 🤘
Definitely top 5 guitar player’s! Maybe top 2? 🤔
He learned to dress like a Pimp from Jimi.
Texas Flood at the El Macambo. Thank me later
Check out joe satriani
The band is kick ass too they get a bit overshadoed but just listen to how tight they are.
Believers may appreciate your apology for the “Oh my god” BUT,… give yourself a pat on the back because Gods name was never spoken. You’re good. There are gods of cooking, super gods of rock, and lords and ladies, landlords, etc. not once was a NAME spoken so take it easy on yourself it’s just a title not a name.
average singer? no
Far from average.
Technique wise it's a valid observation, but Stevie had a natural tone that just sounds too damn good to be considered average.
His singing is average?
