@truthsetter5155 not sure I'm following the logic. If I buy a Jeep with a factory warranty, I would want a " Jeep " mechanic from a dealership to fix it. Or does your mechanic get paid right from Jeep, and you don't have to deal with getting reimbursed?
@maxxbenzz7842 their are certified Dodge mechanics that can fix it. But if you have a warranty on any car. You're kinda stuck until the warranty runs out. back in the day, LCD screen went out on my wife's challenger , car had maybe 10k miles on it.... took them 4 months to replace it, after *4*visits at the dealership. Car was under full warranty! worst experience ever! also the dealership supposed to cut me a check because I refereed my dad to buy A Jeep, well when I asked, referral no longer was valid.
This is how to handle a situation like this. People are more likely to listen to what you have to say when you’re calm and levelheaded. Getting loud will get you nowhere.
My honda dealership said my transmission needs a replacement, took it to a transmission specialist who said that transmission is perfectly fine its your cv axles that need replacing
This dude at the dealership was cool calm and Collective I wish it was like that with everyone that's how you should be taken care of when you go back into your dealership that you paid thousands and thousands of dollars to good job guys good job
In all fairness, he didn’t tell you to come back the next day, he said he would give you a call the next day after talking to his GM….just be real now.
I've been there with you. I totally agree that you should not have to pay for a diagnose if it didn't correct the problem. Glad you got your money back. To bad you didn't get the $450 for the drive shaft. Could of been a lot worse.
This took me back to my college days. I had a Marauder and it started missing. I only could afford to take it to the Good Year near my apt. They ran a diagnostic & said I needed a battery. I paid $380 after everything for this battery, which was EXPENSIVE for a freshman in college. The next day the car was still missing. My classmate had a neighbor that worked at Towson Ford. They told me a needed a full tune up and now I was looking at a total of like $1,200 but the neighbor got me a deal on all the work. I went to war with that Good Year place trying to get a refund for that bogus diagnostic they ran but they stood on it. They claimed that at time of the diagnostic the battery was faulty and they wouldn't be able to give a proper diagnostic unless it was replaced. BS

This attitude serves most people's well cos I'm from uk and have just been in roughly the same situation and played it cool and got my sons financed second hand 2019 ford focus fixed up cos the car had a faulty wet belt and two other components setting off the faulty engine light. Never buy 1litre ecoboost ford focus, you'll regret it.
I had a problem when I first bought my 2007.5 6.7 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 ST, it had 26mi on it when I purchased it. Long story short, I got the owner of the dealership, the service manager and advisor all together and had a polite come to Jesus talk to straighten out the problem. I reminded them that I paid cash for my truck and the problem with it, it got fixed. If they keep giving you the old " he's not here" routine, politely ask for a meeting with the owner of the dealership.
I am going through the same thing with a Lexus dealership. I knew they misdiagnosed my vehicle because after two repairs less than a month still the same problem. Not sure what state you are in but here in California there is a Bureau of Automotive Repair where you open a case regarding automotive repairs. You may want to check your state. Hope things work out for you 🤞🏽Good luck!
I've been wondering what happened with all this. I believe the dealership, treated you pretty fairly. Of course they could have done better, but you can't have it all, you know. I mean they could have got the right diagnosis from the jump. But nobody's perfect. And they cleaned up their mess for the most part. Considering the grand scheme of things and how some of these other dealerships were acting. I'd give them four out of five stars. EDIT: they took responsibility for their actions. And did not give you the runaround fixing the problem. That means a lot in my book.
Listen not only did you handle it like a gentleman but it seems like the guy you dealt with in this video was genuinely a good guy.

He did say “I’ll call you mid day or so next day” not just show up lol I would of too tho prolly
They see you filming! This is great content
When he said the Gm called in sick that pissed me off man.. he shoulda call like he said he was gonna an let u know before hand!! respect you for keeping cool whole time🙏 u gotta talent wit bein so calm😭💯
Lmaoo the tech literally just put “no works” not even a couple short sentences of explaining how he came up with that answer but I woulda asked for my diagnostic refund after that 😅
A lot of techs need better training. Hooking up a laptop and guessing what’s wrong ain’t it no mo!
Calm cool and collected.. surprised and happy they actually gave you what you were due!
back in the day, LCD screen went out on my wife's challenger , car had maybe 10k miles on it.... took them 4 months to replace it, after *4*visits at the dealership.
Car was under full warranty! worst experience ever! also the dealership supposed to cut me a check because I refereed my dad to buy A Jeep, well when I asked, referral no longer was valid.
That’s wild 🤦🏽♂️
This is how to handle a situation like this. People are more likely to listen to what you have to say when you’re calm and levelheaded. Getting loud will get you nowhere.
That is weird because the same thing happened to me last year. Unfortunately I ended up selling because they gave me the run around..
This was a great video we learned too from this situation so this isn't a boring video. The way you handle it big respect and good luck
Yes sue them they are crooks I’m taking them To court now they sold me a lemon! Now they blaming me
You handled it right sir and I am glad that dealer worked with you. Most important your nice ride is back on the road
Great information. Hope everyone can see this was honest out come. He was nice and calm show the faxs.
Love how you got bro for the outtro
Thank you bro💙🛫
Gotta fw performance shops. No dealerships and no hood shops
Way to stay cool , calm , and collected . G shit
You know it bro💪🏽
My honda dealership said my transmission needs a replacement, took it to a transmission specialist who said that transmission is perfectly fine its your cv axles that need replacing
Find a local mechanic whos honest and provides great work! Those dealerships are some SH!T
This dude at the dealership was cool calm and Collective I wish it was like that with everyone that's how you should be taken care of when you go back into your dealership that you paid thousands and thousands of dollars to good job guys good job
GM sitting in his office
Rumour has it the Manager is still off to this day with the squits. 🤣
There should always be someone available to deal with issues. The dealership didn't close because of a sick employee. #neverwannareimburse 🙃
In all fairness, he didn’t tell you to come back the next day, he said he would give you a call the next day after talking to his GM….just be real now.
Most guys at dealerships aren't even ASE certified but even be an ASE certified don't mean s*** anybody can take a test
My 2 cents you came out very good. I’m totally surprised they paid more than the evaluation of the repair needed.
I respect you though keeping calm… that took a lot man. You a awesome dude for that
Had it been diagnosed properly it wouldn’t have been nowhere near 4K dollars
I've been there with you. I totally agree that you should not have to pay for a diagnose if it didn't correct the problem. Glad you got your money back. To bad you didn't get the $450 for the drive shaft. Could of been a lot worse.
Jus get an explorer st, go big turbo, CAI, catted dp, tune that bish and ur good making RELIABLE power
That sounds fun 🤔
I think it's important, keeps people honest, good video.
BS
That’s crazy and I feel like the only reason why I got what I did is because of the camera lol
I think it’s very good content, you kept your cool, told the truth and in the end things were made right….i am glad I watched it
GM must have unlimited sick days. 😂
And vacation time.
Given the luck you were having....the G.M. was DEFINITELY sick that day. Glad it worked out and you handled it like a PURE PROFESSIONAL....WELL DONE💯 Also funny how a video you thought was boring and wouldn’t be viewed much, ends up being the most viewed video on the channel. Just subbed! Hope you and yours have a blessed one💯🙏
Wow,there are a total scam, great video keep going from Canada ❤
Thank you bro💯❤️
This is everyday business for dealerships, service is where they make money.
Part.0ne - 1st mistake was talking to the guy who doesn’t even have an office to take you into.
💀🤣
I am a car guy and started in working on car at 13 and became a GM technician at 18, this is good for people to know that you need to get a second opinion if you can and that any diagnostic you pay for that isn't correct should be reimbursed, you have help to show that it is possible and the right thing to do buy asking for your money back for improper diagnosis, even professional or so caled expects make mistakes, thanks for sharing this 🙏🏿❤️
If you would have let them fix it from the start instead of just trying to diagnose it then you wouldn’t have paid all that
Right he would have had new pump and parts for free.
Do you really think they would have told me the truth or would they have just added more parts and labor to my bill? 😂
DANG that diagnostic fee wasn't cheap. But I'm sure you weren't happy one bit once doing all of that pump work just for the same issue to still be occurring. Now that part would have sent me through the roof! You handled this super professionally and calmly though.
Subscribed because I support local!! #WR
Thank you 🙏🏽
Handling it like a nan, getting proper results. Too many guys would have gone in and raise hell and gotten nothing but shown the door out. Respect
blks
BIG MAN, YOU HANDLED THIS LIKE A GENTLEMAN, THE RUN AROUND AGGRAVATION THEY NEED TO BE SUED, YOU DID ALL THE RIGHT THINGS, PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN FROM THIS VIDEO HOW MEN HANDLE THINGS,IM NEW TO CHANNEL
Should pay everything they cost you. This is a 100k jeep if they ever want another sale from you
💯💪🏽
Having some knowledge and a calm demeanor served you well, your far from a fool👏.
Hats off to you for the calm way you handled this.
If they keep giving you the old " he's not here" routine, politely ask for a meeting with the owner of the dealership.
lol thankfully it didn’t come to that
I am going through the same thing with a Lexus dealership.
Dang, I hope everything works out for you. I'm glad I recorded this because that's probably why they gave me some of my money back.
@@BrendonsPov me too sir! I think I may start recording myself.. Great video
$1200 for a fucking FUEL PUMP!!??? HELL NAH!!!🤣🤣🤣
😂😅
Hell no , I put the best I could buy on my spec Miata race car for under $200.lol
That's cheap for some now days
Most companies, especially stealerships, will limit the refund to what you only actually paid them. Good video.
Surprised u got what u got but I bet the recording was the reason
That’s true
Honest Guys There!!!
He jus literally did same thing he did yesterday I thought I rewinded da video hell ya they bs🤷🏾♂️
🤦🏽♂️🤣
Dealerships have plenty $. Pay This Man
I've been wondering what happened with all this.
For sure I agree 💪🏽
They can make it right
