I’m going to say this. There’s two types of people who work on cars. A parts changer, and an actual diagnostic person. A parts changer is someone who just changes parts out without checking for multiple things that could go wrong in hopes of fixing what is wrong which is what 95% of Dealerships are. @truthsetter5155 not sure I'm following the logic. If I buy a Jeep with a factory warranty, I would want a " Jeep " mechanic from a dealership to fix it. If he screws up, I keep taking it back until it's right, under warranty. If you take it to a private mechanic, Jeep could say you didn't need this or that, or he overcharged you, we aren't reimbursing you. Or does your mechanic get paid right from Jeep, and you don't have to deal with getting reimbursed?
@maxxbenzz7842 their are certified Dodge mechanics that can fix it. But if you have a warranty on any car. You're kinda stuck until the warranty runs out. Most dealers will give you a hard time if you let any other mechanics do warranty work. In some situations, not taking warranty work to the dealer will void the warranty.
I've been there with you. I totally agree that you should not have to pay for a diagnose if it didn't correct the problem. Glad you got your money back. To bad you didn't get the $450 for the drive shaft. Could of been a lot worse.
Coming from Dealership Tech who gets underpaid, yo once you give them your money that they finessed you for. They pretty much don't want to deal with you until you need to spend money on something else.

Hope things work out for you 🤞🏽Good luck!
My situation with dodge is nothing like yours but I bought a scat pack from them and 2 months later the engine started clicking, after purchasing their platinum warranty….. they finally agreed they would diagnose the issue but would require them to take the front bumper off and disassemble the top half of the engine and wouldn’t give me a timeframe on when this could be done because they were “short staffed” all the while, refusing to provide me with the rental vehicle and I still had to pay my monthly car payment!
back in the day, LCD screen went out on my wife's challenger , car had maybe 10k miles on it.... took them 4 months to replace it, after *4*visits at the dealership. Glad it worked out and you handled it like a PURE PROFESSIONAL....WELL DONE💯 Also funny how a video you thought was boring and wouldn’t be viewed much, ends up being the most viewed video on the channel. Just subbed! Hope you and yours have a blessed one💯🙏
Handled that well man 👏
BIG MAN, YOU HANDLED THIS LIKE A GENTLEMAN, THE RUN AROUND AGGRAVATION THEY NEED TO BE SUED, YOU DID ALL THE RIGHT THINGS, PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN FROM THIS VIDEO HOW MEN HANDLE THINGS,IM NEW TO CHANNEL
Love how you got bro for the outtro
Thank you bro💙🛫
Lol, never take your ride to the dealer in its warranty work.Try to take it to someone you trust if you can.
Definitely gonna do that to start with next time
I thought you had to?
@maxxbenzz7842 If you have a lease on a car, yes. But if you bought it. It's your car. You can take it to anyone you like.
Respect for
Keeping your cool and the gm is sick hummmm
If there was no camera I guarantee they would not have been this nice or professional. They knew it was all about to be on UA-cam!
I've been there with you. I totally agree that you should not have to pay for a diagnose if it didn't correct the problem. Glad you got your money back. To bad you didn't get the $450 for the drive shaft. Could of been a lot worse.
Glad you got paid. They screwed up and they need to be held accountable.
Coming from Dealership Tech who gets underpaid, yo once you give them your money that they finessed you for. They pretty much don't want to deal with you until you need to spend money on something else.
DANG that diagnostic fee wasn't cheap. But I'm sure you weren't happy one bit once doing all of that pump work just for the same issue to still be occurring. Now that part would have sent me through the roof! You handled this super professionally and calmly though.
You handled this very well. Much better than I would have. For me I always get to a quicker understanding when the police come.
They owe you that other $400 and I would post this story in their google reviews with pictures of those receipts and one star and I bet they might see it your way.
Great glad everything worked out for you
This is everyday business for dealerships, service is where they make money.
Dealerships have plenty $. Pay This Man
Having some knowledge and a calm demeanor served you well, your far from a fool👏. This attitude serves most people's well cos I'm from uk and have just been in roughly the same situation and played it cool and got my sons financed second hand 2019 ford focus fixed up cos the car had a faulty wet belt and two other components setting off the faulty engine light. Never buy 1litre ecoboost ford focus, you'll regret it.
Allpar Garage does all of my builds on my cars, Jimmy is the Shiznit on Mopars!
Most companies, especially stealerships, will limit the refund to what you only actually paid them. Good video.
Had it been diagnosed properly it wouldn’t have been nowhere near 4K dollars
There should always be someone available to deal with issues. The dealership didn't close because of a sick employee. #neverwannareimburse 🙃
Wow I can't believe they gave u the money that's one in a million dealership
Yo, my brother in law is a service manager for a big dealership. I had him watch your video. He said the dude is lying. If the dealership is fully open, then a GM is Always there they have to be to sign off and do payouts. Js get a lawyer and they will have to pay you even more he said. 😂
Handling it like a nan, getting proper results. Too many guys would have gone in and raise hell and gotten nothing but shown the door out. Respect
blks
I am going through the same thing with a Lexus dealership. I knew they misdiagnosed my vehicle because after two repairs less than a month still the same problem. Not sure what state you are in but here in California there is a Bureau of Automotive Repair where you open a case regarding automotive repairs. You may want to check your state. Hope things work out for you 🤞🏽Good luck!
Dang, I hope everything works out for you. I'm glad I recorded this because that's probably why they gave me some of my money back.
@@BrendonsPov me too sir! I think I may start recording myself.. Great video
Giving u the run around. There actions show just tha
It’s hard to find people like that in the dealership industry
No more. I build all my speed rods and drive an old ass Lexus LS460. Glad you got it worked out. Stealerships are vicious.
That is weird because the same thing happened to me last year. Unfortunately I ended up selling because they gave me the run around..
Car was under full warranty! worst experience ever! also the dealership supposed to cut me a check because I refereed my dad to buy A Jeep, well when I asked, referral no longer was valid.
That’s wild 🤦🏽♂️
I need to holler at somebody 😂
🤣
If you’re constantly being told “oh the GM is unavailable” they’re avoiding to help you
