The salesman was knowledgeable and experienced. It looks like this is his career, not just a stop between other gigs as it is with so many other car salesmen.
He was very polite, patient as well. I'm one of these people that when a complete stranger starts talking a lot with long stories and unnecessary details it makes me uncomfortable.
Bro is going to make thousands in commission off of this sale, if he sat there all day and made a genuine connection with the CUSTOMER, the CUSTOMER is going to trust this sales man and remember his interaction and come back to him for more business. Some of y’all hate people so much you don’t realize these are real world connections
I was a lifelong Ford guy. Needed to get an F450 during the pandemic. Our local Ford dealership in rural Georgia were awful. $98k on a 40k mile 2018 F450. The sticker was $75k. Wouldn’t negotiate. Not to mention, they acted like they were doing me a favor just talking to me. These guys have no problem taking advantage of their hardworking neighbors. I went RAM and won’t go back. Our community will remember though.
You just needed to find a different dealership. Its not a “Ford” thing, it’s the franchised dealership thing. GM and Chrysler dealers are doing the same thing.
@@akshonclip I extended my search out 250 miles. No luck. The Ford guys as a whole, did seem more arrogant. Found Mark Dodge in Louisiana. Best car buying experience ever. About 4% under invoice on an order in the thick of the craziness. They will continue to get my business.
Before internet, dealers were printing there own sticker with higher prices. "The Farmer" magazine had a MPLS ,MN dealer suck in out of town buyer, by time you added up options and taxes you didn't know what the sticker was.
It is nice knowing there are dealers that will sell a truck for about $3,000 more than they paid for. I went to a dealership once that had a used 2020 F 450 limited that had 20k miles and they were asking $105,000 because they paid $100,000 for it. I offered $70,000 and told them they are they scum of the earth for asking a little more than they paid for it. I should be allowed to dictate the price. Although, when it comes to my trade in, I want full blown retail. I don't think dealerships should be allowed to make any money. I hope Ford goes direct to consumer so I can get screwed without ever seeing them in person.
I had the same issue when I bought my new 2022 2500HD. All the big dealers were shady as heck and wanted $5k-10k over MSRP. I went to Park Hill Chevy in Missouri. They are a small town dealership. They were honest, friendly, and fair with pricing. No fees and no hidden costs. Everyone should avoid shady dealerships regardless of brand.
@@tophervonhinterwaldler5833 They wouldn't have those big dealerships if they weren't making 50% or more on a vehicle. I used to work at a boat dealership and I got to see the invoices when they received the new boats. They would get the boats for a 1/3 of sticker and motors for half of sticker.

Wow, you can really see the pain in that salesman's face. He really didn't have time for all that story telling. He was just trying to be nice by tolerating all that story. You even see him looking back as he obviously had other things that needed his attention. If you're going to buy the truck, buy it and don't waste all that man's time.
I sold cars a couple decade's ago and made 70K a year on average. I know a couple people still at it and they both made nearly 200K and showed me proof when I called BS. Both worked at a RAM/Jeep store which I bet Ford is even better.
Agreed, most salesman I've met I know more than they did....and I've bought 6 trucks since 2020.......incredible how they don't know their own product.....they also weren't their 6 months later when I returned
The dealer I deal with actually have it as two different positions. The salesperson mainly just deals with the financing, test drives, and a few other things. Then they have delivery specialists who really research the vehicles, their features, and will give you a rundown on how to use said features and answer the questions. But for this salesman wearing both of those hats, he did great. I think the only thing he kind of got wrong was the drive modes part (which mainly just controls throttle response and transmission shift points).
The automaker shortage really brought out the shady dealerships and they were no longer trying to hide their greed & backstabbing. The good dealers will be apparent so you’ll know where to shop for the future
@@sirelliott3753 the dealership that let me order a van at MSRP then tacked on $2000 worth of BS like shadowmarking etc I sold them my 2018 mustang after. 2 points I picked up from this video. Don’t pay over MSRP for a vehicle; there are still honest dealerships who value your returning business over greed. Also, if you plan on keeping it then purchase the extended warranty. It will save you money in the long run.
@@matthill2957 There is no such thing as a "lifetime" warranty. Best you will see is a 100k mile manufactures warranty. All extended warranties are a scam. They wont cover catastrophic claims. They will force you to only go to mechanic shops, "in network". You have to go through a bunch of hoops BEFORE you have your vehicle worked on, and 9 times out of 10, they wont cover it. Extended warranties are almost always 3ed part, not manufacturer, and they will bend over backwards to ensure they wont have to cover whatever your vehicle needs. Stay away from extended warranties.
Nice truck and I'm glad you got a fair deal. I never understand why some car dealers play so many games, car sales are extremely profitable as it is and a smart dealer will NEVER let a serious, ready to go buyer walk out the door - that's literally like burning up cash! That guy Zach at V &H probably does very well in sales, he's on point.
Hey Stan. I spent years in the auto industry. When a dealer advertises a low ball truck, they call it a 'loss leader'. It is usually a bare-bones version in an undesirable color and options package. They use it to generate contact and upsell the customer to a more expensive one that has the features that most customers are looking for. When the dealer refuses to sell that particular truck for the advertised price, that is false- advertising. If they try to switch you to a differed truck that they will sell you for that price, that's bait and switch.
99.999999% confidence that offer above is a spammer baiting you into giving them money - play along if you want, but DO NOT do anything that gives them money or information on your banking details. They're NOT Stan!
Back in the day. When the caravan became third GEN. My boss purchased three of them. They were all the ones that were advertised at that low discount rate price. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. We’re on the bottom of the ad it says we only have one. He bought it. Then he waited for the next weeks ad. Then he bought that caravan. Then he waited I think two months before another ad showed up one at this price. And he bought that one. It was comical because he got him at the price that was in the paper. All stripped. Basic dodge caravans. Are used for shuttling consumers around. We would dump them at 200,000 miles. But it’s a good lesson to learn. One of which is patience
You're right. And in order to do that legally they have to actually have that vehicle to sell. They can try and upsell all they want, and the customer can have expectations that it has options it doesnt but if they advertise that vehicle at that price it should be available. Sounds like this guy is a bit mistaken. The dealer website lists MSRP. That isn't offering it for sale at MSRP. It's just a fact about the vehicle. No different than stating the color or what engine it has. And MSRP is just like it stands for suggested. Good dealers wanting markup will just list contact us to avoid what this guy went through. And who calls a customer back and continues on with their "position" when the person obviously thought they could buy at MSRP and you told them no. That's just the epitome of what's wrong with the car business in situations like we've had the last couple of years
I purchased an advertised lost leader F150 SuperCab years ago. It was XLT Trim with bench seat, short bed, inline 6 cylinder, 5 Speed manual transmission, Super engine cooling with tow package and bigger alternator, prewired for electric trailer brakes. $5,000 under MSRP. When I said "I'll take it" the dealer tried to talk me out of it, it's a six cylinder with manual trans, "yep, I'll take it" lol.
I’ve had the 7.3 with the 10 speed for almost 2 years. Zero issues with shifting during towing. It’s just different than the 6 speed in the way it feels while accelerating. The RPM range is really small with the 10 speed so the engine never really revs up under normal loads. Personally I like it.
Have a 2018 f150 4x4 sport with 5.0 43k miles... trans just started slipping and banging 2nd/3rd gear every morning but goes away after a couple miles. Yayyy 5 year 100k factory warranty!
@@GETsum111 that’s a little different transmission than the super duty has. Similar architecture but not as robust. I’ve heard the 10r80 has had issues. I hope the 10r140 is better long term.

Stan, I can't tell you how many times I've walked out of a dealership just because of an arrogant salesperson or a condescending attitude. A lot of times they call me back and I tell them why I won't spend my money at their dealership. I enjoy buying a new vehicle.
I know of one instance, back in the early eighties, of a fleet order for 17 4WD vehicles going through a local dealer and 18 free-wheel hubs for them. The franchise/dealership owner (most tight-fisted, penny wise- pound foolish* idiot you'll ever meet) questioned this and told the person who placed the order that he'd have to pay retail, not 'trade' price, for the last set of hubs because it was for his personal vehicle... Order immediately cancelled, ALL parts and work following that from that point went through a dealership an a nearby town - besides the initial order, this was well into 6 figures, a year, even 30+ years ago, as they worked on other vehicles as well. Possibly the biggest "you work commision?" was back in the seventies when a scruffy guy was in a nearby agricultural dealer (IH?) asking about tractors and other machinery. Head salesman basically snubbed him and a junior salesman took over - turned out he was buying for one of the biggest farms in the area, he ended up buying multiple machines and I understand it was over a million bucks, all up, which was a LOT of money back then! Got vague recollection that he may have bought a house on the commision (certainly should have covered a decent deposit), but may be mistaken? *if you don't know the expression, it means someone so focussed on small amounts of money they miss the importance of larger amounts and make stupid decisions that means a net loss.
@@Dirtmonkey I walked out of a dealership with a customer. I was actually the salesman and on my third day I had a customer and all he wanted was the price of the vehicle and how much he was getting for his trade. They wouldn't tell him or me this info. The General Manager would just give me a payment to quote him. After an hour and a half of giving him different payment quotes he was fed up as I was also. They had his owners card and refused to give it to him. I went into the managers office grabbed the card and walked out the door with the customer. I couldn't sell cars like that.
Another great video, Stan. Glad to see you buying another Ford! I have a 2010 F150 with the FX4 package, and it comes with all the towing bells and whistles. Pulls my 6800lb travel trailer like its not even there. That "pull-the-button" differential lock is a great feature that has saved my ass a couple times.
This salesman was great! When I purchased my 2015 Nissan Frontier, I fortunately had a similar experience. They had the vehicle I wanted- manual windows and door locks, two wheel drive. $25,990 (basically 26k). I'd originally been looking for a Toyota Tundra, but used Tundras were MORE than the new Nissan! So, after telling them what I wanted, and they had that exact model on the lot, I bought the Nissan. I've never regretted that.
Unfortunately some dealerships have lost my confidence. While I understand that they want to make the most money they can their actions can destroy a brand name. This was a great example of a dealership that is trying to make a decent deal without price gouging. Great video.
Love the video! I was at a dealership trying to buy a truck. I had been looking all day and planned on going home with a truck. The dealer kept trying to sell me a truck 6k over what it was worth. I finally decided to write a check and handed it to the salesman and told him to take it or leave it. They took it.
Reminds me of when I was shopping for a truck earlier this year. The Ford Dealer told me they were marking up their trucks and for a plain 2020 F150 with 100K miles they wanted almost 50K. They also pressured me extremely hard to buy the truck when I told them when I walked in that I was not buying a truck that day. Ended up getting a loaded 2018 Ram 1500 Sport for 38K at a dealership that let me drive anything I wanted and let me come drive vehicles 2 different days and leave without any pressure. Good dealers are fantastic but there are so many horrible ones out there. Thank you for showing a fantastic dealership!
Not tryna knock ya dude, but you'll regret that Ram purchase. My neighbor had to have a new engine put in his and it only had only 900 miles on it. He uploaded a youtube video about it

Hey Stan, just wanted to say that we have had the best luck with Ford trucks. We have been in business for 16 years in Denver Colorado as an electrical contractor. Colorado mountain driving puts vehicles to the test with high altitude and steep inclines. We have had other makes and always had problems with transmissions and rear diffrentials.
18:31: "Ohh" dude....I just had that moment last week researching my 2022 XLT F250. I've had lots of ford trucks, I felt like an idiot until I heard you also say "Ohhh". Thanks for making this video and getting this kid to work with you. Also, as someone born and raised in Wisconsin, V&H makes me proud. Thanks for sharing.
Wow there is still an actual honest dealer out there. I've been keeping my 2008 Ford F450 because they have become so crooked, May have to check this out. Thanks Stan!
Wow. I can't believe you enjoy that 6.4 assuming it's the diesel and not the V-10? Those 6.4 trucks have had so many issues with emissions and turbos and so many other things that most people can't get rid of them. I see so many of them for sale with blown motors or an injector or two out. I was a Ford tech at a few dealerships before these came out so I never worked on them but I've done the research and read so much about them as well as watched so many videos to know that I wouldn't want to own one. I would feel like I was driving a ticking time bomb. If it's been working out for you, that's great. But I would suggest to sell it before you have something happen to it because if something does happen, it's gonna be hard to sell. Especially if the potential buyer knows anything about the 6.4
And you wanting top dollar for your worked to death truck isn’t crooked? So if one guy offered you $10k and another offered $20k you’re trying to tell us your taking the $10? Because if you sold to the guy paying $20k you would be the crooked hypocrite
I bought a Chevy van in 96 when they changed the body style. I ordered it and had to wait 9 months for it. The dealer I went to wanted $800 more than their cost which is $300 more than I usually paid but it was a hot item... no big deal. PS: 9 months to wait because GM took care of the conversion van dealers first... Great video.
I live in Missouri, drove to Michigan in 2006 to buy a Mustang GT convertible due to the same deal. That was when Ford was clearing the lots of excess inventory, and I ended up with a 72 month finance deal, 0%, and even rolled the sales taxes into the loan as well. Folks at other dealers were playing games with prices, or just refusing to sell inventory listed units, so I just kept moving outward on the map to the next dealer. Finally found one near Detroit who had the unit sitting on the lot, was actually selling it, and would take that price, so I told them I'd drive up and sign the paperwork Monday. Hauled up there with my trailer, they had us take it for a test drive before we loaded it up. Wonderful service. Although my wife was upset after driving it that I loaded it on the trailer. She wanted to drive it home! Some dealers are just A+ on service.
The way these dealerships were up pricing vehicles during and after the pandemic is disgusting and is now biting them in the pocket. Sales on new vehicles is at an all time low. Also I drive a Ford. I always liked Ford, but right now Ford Motor Company has more factory recalls than any other automobile producer in America. I am already going on recall number three on my Ford Bronco Sport. Getting my dealership to honor these recalls is like pulling teeth.
Wasn’t planning on buying a new truck this year, was very happy with my 2018 Ford. But it was totaled by a girl that blew a stop sign. When I went shopping, the dealerships for the most part were arrogant and rude. Then I went to a dealer I used to always think was a little pricier, and they kept everything at msrp, still gave incentives, and treated me right. They were fantastic.
Happy for you bro , took me 6 months several states to find my super duty. Everyone wanted over sticker. I was about to give up and went to the dealership right down the road one more time and low and behold. They had a 2022 6.7 stx. Exactly the way I wanted rubber flooring, 4x4 cloth seats power windows and locks (yes they have some with hand crank windows still) I was able to get it at sticker , I came with a check ready to go and the sales guy was acting as if it wasn’t gonna happen. Sales manager did the deal. Be patient folks. They are still some good dealers out there. Plus lifetime power train warranty
Stan, after seraching MN for months for an F350 we ended up in Huntley, IL at a Ford dealership and sadly had a similar if not worse experience. At one point my wife and I felt they were extorting us and when we asked for our keys to our trade in back to leave we were held hostage at the dealership in till we came to an agreement. Thank goodness for honest and fair businesses that still exist!
I went to look at a vehicle we were interested in when I lived in Oregon. They didn’t give numbers I was happy with and wouldn’t give me back my keys. I had to pull out my cell phone and start calling the police for them to bring me my truck and keys. Holding you hostage is a tactic they use.
I'm shopping for used f150s and they're like 6k+ over everywhere else at least in MN I've been close to flying to another state to buy a truck because it's still way less expensive gas and ticket included
I also went to go buy a car once and when they didn't give me retail for my trade in so they can't make any money I said "I'm outta here" they pulled my pants down and threw pies at me. It was the worst experience ever and I will never go back there again. I was hoping they would discount their vehicle also even though I knew the price before showing up. I know they probably make 90% profit from each vehicle they sell so I thought asking for a $500 discount was reasonable. I won't say what dealer it was because they threatened to shoot me if I ever told anyone. Dealers are so shady.
Your video is priceless....Every Ford dealership within 200 miles of my home town in Phoenix is charging 20-30K over MSRP for the truck I want...I'm going to talk with V & H and see what we can work out. If it's as you've shown, for me as well, I'll be forever grateful. Buying my trucks in years past prior to 2018 was always the way it was for you in this video....Dealerships have gone beyond greedy...It's why FORD announced the "Agency" dealership model we hopefully will soon see after FORD starts with it in Europe...
Ford and their tow/haul mode has been on point since they cane out with the 6.0 powerstroke. The 5r110 and 6r110 transmissions have been phenomenal as well. They just work.
So true. Even after 08 and up were way smoother. The 2011 -13gasser with the 6.2 gas has a smart trans you can try all you want to burnout it will not spin the wheels it will chirp them but not let you light them up. This helps when towing cause you can confidently get on the gas and not worry that its gonna leave skids all down the road.
My 2017 F250 w/ 6.2 6speed 3.73 gears has been crazy solid. With my work schedule I don’t put a lot of miles but when I’m off I tow 9500 lbs 50% of the time. Not a brand guy but this 6.2 has been the most reliable power train I ever owned out of a dozen gas HD trucks. I really like these videos showing how crooked most of these dealers are. You have to do your homework or they will try to walk all over you. Great Video.

Great information in the video. Honestly I’d like to see you do a wideout or a wideout xl, it’s my 14th year with one and I love it for parking lots. Everyone on UA-cam got the other plows, maybe only a few others showing what the wideout could really do.
It’s the dealer that makes the difference. You showed that when you bought the Kubota mini-excavator. I have found over the years that brands can take a back seat to dealers. It was our Caterpillar dealer in Jersey, Foley Machinery, that made all the difference to my bosses.
Now you know why FORD is permanently ceasing dealing with any dealerships whatsoever, their greed-induced crookedness and corruption has just gotten too far out of hand...

This reminds me of the first dealer car I ever bought. Took the test drive and all and suddenly the price was higher. We were young but knew enough to say we wanted to pay the price we were told at the beginning. The manager even came out offered me his hand, we shook hands and he said. "it's been real." Just to insult me. We walked out and they called us later with the original price. (There weren't a lot of options to buy a car on Hawaii at the time.)
I had a similar experience with a local Toyota dealership. I researched and chose a 4Runner with a particular package that I wanted. Went to this dealer because they had one incoming. They wanted to add a $5,000 non negotiable dealer add on or as they worded it “tax that NJ makes them add”. They stated it added certain features to the car. Called them out on their BS and got no where. I for schlitz and giggles went on to the website for the dealer I use to work for and they had the same 4Runner in stock with upgraded wheels. Got it at a great deal with an extended warranty all out the door for less than the other dealers offer.

Hello Stan, Love the channel. I used to work for a dealer and I can tell you that most of the manufacturers are frowning on this practice. Contact Ford directly and advise them of the situation at your previous dealership. They have better remedies when dealing with resellers (dealerships).
This is the most valuable information I've ever seen if you were in the market for a truck. Very informative. Who needs a vehicle manual when you have this guys.
Curious to see how the 6.2s do I’ve heard good things but I feel like Stan gives yah the best no hold back opinions and I’d like to see a nice stainless plow on it would look great
I was a car salesman around 10yrs ago and I sold between 20-30 cars a month here in south Louisiana a small town and I can say that maybe 1 or 2 of those sales a month we're at MSRP and that was usually a business that didn't care because of tax write offs or just a bad credit customer that didn't care and just want to buy a car that day. What these dealerships are doing now is killing their repeat customer that comes back in 2 years because now they can't their car will be so upside down on value vs money owed they will be stuck with it.
wow this guy is great in his way of doing business. I even liked the warranty guys approach to how not to up sell but to tell you how and what would happen if you decided to put on the plow. great video.
I really like your videos! I had a similar “horrible dealer” experience recently, whatever anybody seeing this does….stay as far away as you can from Huntley FORD in Huntley Illinois….worst bait-n-switch dealer experience I have ever had! Finding a honest dealer is tough, but definitely well worth, especially for what these trucks cost now!
I think I remember Zach from a previous video involving a new truck and his product knowledge was legendary. If I needed a truck, I'd be willing to drive 500 miles+ to talk with this gentleman!
Dealers doing this to the buying public, should be shut down!!! And any one who is treated this way please put a customer view comment on there website or where ever, and always remember, WORD OF MOUTH IS THE BEST, TO MAKE OR BREAK ANY BUSINESS. For those businesses trying to over charge customer !!!
Always remember, do your home work when buying a vehicle. I bought a brand new 2016 f150 lariat 4x4 5.0 loaded, I went to 7 ford dealerships before I bought it . Truck was 58,000 sticker, I ended paying 48,000 plus taxes , license on a order out. I told each dealer give me your best price, if the next one is 10.00 lower than you are done, you have to do this, you lose to much depreciation at first, I wasn't going to take it in the shorts TWICE. ,
Good to see you hooked up with another great Wisconsin Ford dealer. I have a 2020 f250 with the 7.3 and the 10 speed and I agree with Zach, I feel it's a much better shifting option than the 6 speed but as long as it gets you down the road, it doesn't really matter. But I don't plow with mine either. But being from the home of Boss I'm going to say you put the boss on because I'm extremely prejudiced and I admit it lol. Great video my friend
In Ohio we have a law that if there is a price on something and you have proof of that they have to sell it to you at that price or the state will get involved.. you don't even have to worry about it all you have to do is notify the state and they'll be ball busting for you,not to mention the better Business bureau, reviews etc .. people look at that stuff and all it takes is a few bad experiences for people to quit doing business with them
I have to say that is a great looking truck for $62k. On the exterior it looks like the $90k versions, only when you open the door do you see that it doesn't have all the fancy trimmings like leather, huge center display, etc. but it is a work truck and that is what work trucks should look like on the inside. Not to mention, less stuff to break.
The dealer that tried to rip him off is Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shoerwood, IL
They are ridiculous! They tried ripping me off when I was looking to buy a SUV for my wife.
Ford should look into that dealer and pull the sales contract. I have a ford and it’s been awesome. Some little hiccups like death wobble many times in the 4yrs and 130k that’s on it. But it’s a great truck.
If I detect a rip-off dealership they never get a second chance on me.
You should also be careful at Golf Mill Ford in Niles IL also. Rip off specialists!!!
I have owned 18 Automobiles since I have been 17yrs old 7 new 11 used IAM now retired walk away from any Dealership that are a bunch of Dicks most Smaller Dealerships will try to work with u

He was very polite, patient as well. I'm one of these people that when a complete stranger starts talking a lot with long stories and unnecessary details it makes me uncomfortable.
All “salesmen” are just scammers with suits on

Extended your reach out 250 miles all the dealers were the same? Sorry for you. I can go to plenty in my area and get sticker.
They will be sorry they acted in this manner
As a man who works for a car dealer…those were selling at auction for 10k over MSRP so…ain’t totally trying to screw you…
What a refreshing change, a dealer that actually works with and for the customer. Just awesome!
That is NOT Stan, but a scammer - be warned!
True, but this guy doesn't deserve this!

You even see him looking back as he obviously had other things that needed his attention. If you're going to buy the truck, buy it and don't waste all that man's time.

Is it possible to clone this sales guy? His product knowledge and ability to explain the functions of the drive system is world class!
Exactly what I said. This guy did his homework. He deserves every bit of commission he makes.
Agreed, most salesman I've met I know more than they did....and I've bought 6 trucks since 2020.......incredible how they don't know their own product.....they also weren't their 6 months later when I returned
This salesperson was courteous and respectful.
The auto industry needs more like him
I'd buy a truck from him
The dealer I deal with actually have it as two different positions.
Except for tow haul locks your torque converter and changes your shift points doesn't do jack to your motor
The automaker shortage really brought out the shady dealerships and they were no longer trying to hide their greed & backstabbing. The good dealers will be apparent so you’ll know where to shop for the future
True that!
That sounds about right. I was poor and I trusted a dealership and got wounded pretty good.

2 points I picked up from this video. Don’t pay over MSRP for a vehicle; there are still honest dealerships who value your returning business over greed. Also, if you plan on keeping it then purchase the extended warranty. It will save you money in the long run.
Never purchase an extended warranty, lifetime warranty that is transferrable is the one.
What’s the name and location of the dealership where you got this truck?
Their a good , honest , FORD dealer .
It wasnt false advertising though because the dealership was advertising the price as the MSRP.
Nice Stanley it’s always good to see there are still people like Zach that do everything they say they are going to
Yep good people still exist 🙌
I’ve had the 7.3 with the 10 speed for almost 2 years. Zero issues with shifting during towing. It’s just different than the 6 speed in the way it feels while accelerating. The RPM range is really small with the 10 speed so the engine never really revs up under normal loads. Personally I like it.
Have a 2018 f150 4x4 sport with 5.0 43k miles... trans just started slipping and banging 2nd/3rd gear every morning but goes away after a couple miles. Yayyy 5 year 100k factory warranty!

Stan, I can't tell you how many times I've walked out of a dealership just because of an arrogant salesperson or a condescending attitude. A lot of times they call me back and I tell them why I won't spend my money at their dealership. I enjoy buying a new vehicle.
I hear ya! Sometimes just walking away and being honest about why is the way to go.
Good for you!
They had his owners card and refused to give it to him. I went into the managers office grabbed the card and walked out the door with the customer. I couldn't sell cars like that.
I was walked across the street to their competition and bought a car and as I drove by their dealership I beeped the horn and waved.
Reputable, honest dealers make it worth the drive. I drove almost an hour past my local dealer to buy my truck because of those very reasons.

A lot of times posi track in the back is better than 4wd.You don’t need 4wd.
Completely agree! That was pretty cool of them to do. The lack of pressure is so important too 👌
Not tryna knock ya dude, but you'll regret that Ram purchase.

Great dealer!!! Love how they order their inventory for the working man. Also nice they keep their word on listed prices and willing to get on video.
Absolutely! Very grateful for the ones that are still genuine & not shady.

Awesome stuff sounds like you knew what you were doing and it paid off 👊 hope you enjoy the ride

That’s awesome dude! Stoked for you. Patience is key 🙌
I would have immediately called the police and then put the story out on every social media you could.
@brians48now the only way we got out of there was to threatening to call the police.
Dealers are so shady.
thank you stan! i already have my ford dealer set in stone, but this is will help me shy people away from dealers down here in my area!
Cool beans. Best of luck!
Great dealing with a professional dealership. I am fortunate that the dealership in my hometown is professional like these folks.
You can use the locking rear differential in 2 wheel drive as well.
Man, this was a very good informational video on that F250. That was also a killer price tag on the truck too, sweet deal
Glad ya enjoyed 👊
STAN!! What a great story! So refreshing to find a dealer looking to do GOOD business!! So, now I've got to drive from Boston to WI to buy my next vehicle? OK!
Nice to see a well educated staff that is proud of their dealership. Good buy Stan.👍
Thanks for the feedback and expect more videos soon. Send me a text above🔝🔝🔝 I have something for you...
Great information in the video. Honestly I’d like to see you do a wideout or a wideout xl, it’s my 14th year with one and I love it for parking lots. Everyone on UA-cam got the other plows, maybe only a few others showing what the wideout could really do.
Cool idea!
I love my Western Wide-Out. I’ll never go back to a straight plow again.
It’s the dealer that makes the difference. You showed that when you bought the Kubota mini-excavator. I have found over the years that brands can take a back seat to dealers. It was our Caterpillar dealer in Jersey, Foley Machinery, that made all the difference to my bosses.
Exactly! Dealer is everything.
Thanks for the video. The extended discussion with the salesman gave some great info.
Good on this dealership for not being scumbags. If I still lived in Minnesota I would definitely go see them about a truck.
Now you know why FORD is permanently ceasing dealing with any dealerships whatsoever, their greed-induced crookedness and corruption has just gotten too far out of hand...
That's true and the government doesn't like the competition either
I'll believe it when I see it.
How are they going to sell vehicles then?
Send me one dealership that Ford has stopped selling to because I’ve never seen one. Ford is all bs on saying they will do anything
@@TwinTurboToyota must be a FoMoCo car salesman...
Rare to see such a knowledgeable salesperson 👍!
Rear differential lock is basically the same thing as posi traction, in the old days. Basically when you do a burnout you lay down two stripes, if it's locked. Lol 😂
Love my diff lock. Haven't found a road condition yet, that my Ford won't just get up and walk out of in 2D.
@@drewrbunn you aren't trying that hard then. You can't just drive on gravel roads when it's rained and think that it's a big deal. Go find some decent snow somewhere or some mud and you'll know how much in "love" you would be with it. But, better to have it and not need it than the other way around.
@@eldridge201 I had to put my truck in the ditch to avoid a head-on with a Dodge Caravan last year, because he boldly went where he had no business going.. I put it in 4Lo, locked my diff and drove out.
@@drewrbunn I don't understand what your recent comment has to do with your first one since it is contadictory.
You originally discuss being in an "on road" situation in 2-wheel drive but then now discuss a situation where you are in a ditch (off road) and needing to use 4-LO and lock your diff. What does one have to do with the other? Furthermore, they aren't the same comparisons.
So, I'm confused as to why you're bringing up the last comment since it's not relevant given the circumstances.
I'm not trying to be a jerk here but you have contrasting comments so I don't see what one has to do with the other.
??
BUT, the electronic diff lock reduces the power the engine will put....ie no burn out
I hope you reported that first dealership to ford corporate! I have a friend there and ford does not like that and will actually fine their dealerships that run business like that so much so they can actually loose their license to sell fords (if they have not already)
My Maverick order came in and the dealership wanted 50% more. I didn't bite. They then put it on craigslist to try and move it.
@@heresteven What a bunch of scum bags. That sorta thing should be illegal.
This is a good learning process for me thank you for this. This tells me to be careful with dealerships for a truck thank you
Congrats Stan on the new truck. We have fords and gm, doesn’t really matter as long as it gets the job done. Would like to hear your opinion on the wideout
Wideout XL to be specific
This reminds me of the first dealer car I ever bought. Took the test drive and all and suddenly the price was higher. We were young but knew enough to say we wanted to pay the price we were told at the beginning. The manager even came out offered me his hand, we shook hands and he said. "it's been real." Just to insult me. We walked out and they called us later with the original price. (There weren't a lot of options to buy a car on Hawaii at the time.)
Haha that sounds about right. So you ended up getting it for the original price?
other Dealer thought he catch a rich hobby farmer for a quick sale.
@@Dirtmonkey Yes! and now that i am older and actually have some more choices, I wouldn't have gone back.
Wow. That says it all…there’s some real shady stuff going on. Good thing you kept your head on straight 👌
That is when you go back to the original dealer and do a slow drive through lot and then roll the window down and wave. Really pisses them off.
That salesman was top shelf.... every baited question that the buyer / video maker had for the salesman, he had the correct answer for . Impressive!
Picking up my F-250 XLT 6.2 this week and appreciate Zack’s review of the 4x4, traction and drive modes.
How’s that truck?
I love dealerships like this. They are rare to find these days though sadly.
Yeah, it’s pretty messed up.
Small town. I like them too. I purchased my transit 250 from a dealership 250 miles away. It wasn't the price but the salesman was a straight shooter.
Very helpful video. I've been struggling between engine options. I have one F-250 that is a 6.2 gaser and one that is a diesel currently. Picking up a new truck and I've been struggling between the three options. I think I'll go with the tried and true diesel outperforms them all but it's just not necessary for the increased expense and maintenance. These trucks are capable
The company I work for is going to gas trucks from diesels less issues with all the emissions garbage and front ends last way longer on logging roads. Even deleted the diesels are causing more issues.
@@banffdigger yeah, there is zero question that the diesel is a more powerful engine, but I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze anymore. Too expensive to make it worthwhile
@@allphaselandscape you don't say what diesel you have, but if it's 2012 or older the 7.3 with a 4.30 rear will out pull and out perform it. Truly an amazing combo.
@@AK_Ray 2017 6.7liter.....impressive engine and does not want for any power. Just not entirely necessary.... 6.2 is tried and true. Just picked another one up 3 weeks ago. 2022 f250
Stan, I just put a BOSS 180Z on my super duty with the 5th wheel system. Incredible how easy the attachment is with that system. Make sure to utilize upfitter switches 5 and 6 for anything you want powered at all times. 1-4 are only powered with the ignition. Traction control off will still avoid swaying and sliding. Hold the button down longer for more fun.
Awesome sauce will do thanks brother 👊
Keep these videos coming Stan. Just straight...no BS.
60k for that truck ? That’s an incredibly good deal
Under 90k that is absolutely a deal
That's a ridiculous price for a truck. They are no longer work cars, they are luxury cars that might do a little work in it's life. They have raised the prices of all trucks like over 20k in the past 5 years. It's disgusting.
That's not a deal that's a steal man.. I'm not going to say who but I know somebody else that paid way more than $7500 over sticker it was a hell of a lot more than that but that's messed up how these dealerships treat a lot of people that seems to be a good one right there with deals like that you will be back brother I'll tell people about it that live in that area myself happy holidays y'all 💪🏼💪🏼❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yep! Gotta stay smart out there
@@Dirtmonkey you got that covered brother. You do very well happy holidays man ❤️💪🏼💪🏼
Upgraded my 15 6.7 to a 22 7.3 lariat custom built online how I wanted it. This was when used vehicle prices were insane. Holman Ford in turnersville NJ was amazing to deal with. Had the deal done thru text message and all i had to do was walk right in and goto finance office. dealer offered me 44k for it and my build price came out to 72k. They kept there word on price protection and everything as promised. Yes ill admit I wasn't happy withe the 10 speed at first but the truck now has 1600ish miles on it and I'm more used to it and it's broken in somewhat. True test comes of we get this nor easter snow event and I get to push snow for first time
Western wide out
SO how are you liking the new godzilla motor so far?
@@bryonsusedautos took some time go get used to the 10 speed. Truck arrived in July and now has about 1600 miles on it and I'm used to the 10speed. Anxious to plow with it soon as that will really be the test
Paying over 60k for a truck with cloth seats is baffling
What I like about the salesman is his product knowledge, hard to find these days
Product knowledge doesn’t get you paid. Knowing the psychology of sales and how to steer someone to get what you want is the game. That’s why one salesman will make $50k a year and his co-worker can make $200k.
The traction control is a awesome feature
Guessed Price: 90k
Price After Looking: 100k
Actual Price: 61k. Am I the only one dumb founded at this price? That's one hell of a deal, major congrats, the black on black looks really good.
Right! Thanks man
I just bought a brand new Ford 3 ish weeks ago! So far so good! The dealer makes all the difference IMO! I hope you have a great night! Any snow for you?
Glad it’s working out for ya! The dealer can make or brake it. We just got about a week of fluff and now some heavy icy snow coming down for the next few days. Getting ready 😅👊
My brain can’t justify a 100k pick up truck
Now a $61k truck is called cheap... damn we are screwed. By 2050 cheap will be $125k.
150 😂
Hello Stan,
Love the channel.
Put a Fisher XV2 or Fisher XLS plow on it!
Curious to see how the 6.2s do I’ve heard good things but I feel like Stan gives yah the best no hold back opinions and I’d like to see a nice stainless plow on it would look great
2 or 3 of his older trucks are 6.2s aswell. I have one also and they're pretty much bullet proof
Will be looking at their stock. Thanks for calling out the honest dealers
The integrity of the dealership means everything. This is the same when purchasing the new plow setup. Good luck with the new wheels.
Very true! Thanks Frank
Sales guy is a real man, had an electric tape band aid on his finger
That’s how you know 👌
I use them all the time. Easy to get to in tool box.
@@matta3888 So's a basic first aid kit, heh, when you slip and cut a 7 inch gash in your arm some quik clot and gauze is great to have on hand.
Dude quit the yapping. Stop wasting his time
wow this guy is great in his way of doing business. I even liked the warranty guys approach to how not to up sell but to tell you how and what would happen if you decided to put on the plow. great video.
Buddy had to listen to Bros life story. Made dude work for that Sale lol
Anybody else wish Zac would fix the collar on his vest 😆
Nice truck Stan! I also do landscaping and last year I bought a 2021 f550 dump truck with the 7.3 10 speed transmission. So far I have no issues!!
The car dealer Zac was excellent and his knowledge was great. Well done Stan!
In Ohio we have a law that if there is a price on something and you have proof of that they have to sell it to you at that price or the state will get involved.. you don't even have to worry about it all you have to do is notify the state and they'll be ball busting for you,not to mention the better Business bureau, reviews etc .. people look at that stuff and all it takes is a few bad experiences for people to quit doing business with them
96k for a 60k pickup truck is insane! At the end of the day it’s just a pickup truck!
I have to say that is a great looking truck for $62k. On the exterior it looks like the $90k versions, only when you open the door do you see that it doesn't have all the fancy trimmings like leather, huge center display, etc. but it is a work truck and that is what work trucks should look like on the inside. Not to mention, less stuff to break.
very informative I learned a lot about the new ford trucks watching you ask good questions
