Himeji Castle, one of the great buildings of the Virtual Future, is beneficial for those players who fight every day, independent where they do it: on the province map, in the guild expedition, in gvg or against neighbors. But this great building will not make military units stronger. Instead it provides the player additional rewards comparable with the temple of relics, which does the same but for the guild expedition only.
While the Dynamic Tower, the Rainforest Project or the Seed Vault provide rewards for motivating an polishing other players every day, Himeji Castle has a similar effect for successful battles.
The castle has two boosts:
1st boost: Supply Production
On level 10 Himeji Castle produces 243,000 supplies every day. This could be a motivation for players in lower ages to get this building early with the help of their guild. For players in higher ages, especially the Virtual Future, this will not be a motivation as they usually don't have a problem with supplies.
2nd boost: Spoils of War
This second boost was introduced to Forge of Empires with this new building. It provides a chance to receive an additional reward for the first battles a player wins.
This starts very humble on level 1 with 4 possibilities and a chance of 7%. The means that in average every 4 days an extra reward is granted if the player wins every day at least 4 battles.
The reward is a random item from this list: forge points, goods, rogues or with the smallest chance diamonds or the choice between a rogue hideout or it's shrink kit.
On level 10 this already looks much better. Now the player has 5 possibilities with a chance of 25% each. This means that statistically seen a player receives that extra reward at least once per day for his successful battles.
Level 10 requires an investment of 5,900 forge points. The first 10 levels grant a total of 1,070 forge points sponsor bonuses which can be used to reduce the invested forge points a bit.
Beside the many other rewarded items, the Spoils of War will contain an average of 18.5 forge points.
25% x 10 + 12% x 50 + 5% x 200 = 18,5
On level 10 statistically seen these are 23.125 forge points / day.
5 x 25% * 18,5 = 23,125 fp/d
Long term it is absolutely impossible to use the effect exactly every 24 hours. Beside that influence the forge point investment pays back after 8.5 months.
5.900 FP / 23,125 FP/d = 255,14 d
All other rewards, which are mainly goods and rogues, you will receive on top and the investment will be reduced by sponsors. As a result the Himeji Castle is a profitable investment.
Himeji Castle is a Great Building of the Virtual Future. Players in that age usually are that much advanced that a great building should no longer be measured on level 10 only. When bringing the castle to higher levels, the two parameters of Spoils of War get better. On levels 16, 28, 41 and finally on 58 the number of possibilities per day is incremented up to finally 9. The chance to receive a reward from such a possibility grows from 25% at level 10 to more than 45% on level 58.
If we make the same payback calculation as before on level 10, we have to recognize that level 58 requires the very impressive investment of 118,615 forge points.
On the other side, sponsors will receive 48,385 forge points in return which can be used to attract other players investments. If you manage to always find sponsors for the first 3 ranks, your own investment will be reduced to 27,966 forge points.
As a result of your investment you will have 9 possibilities every day with a chance of 45.84% to get an average of 18.5 forge points.
9 cases/d x 45,84% x 18,5 fp/case= 76,3236 fp/d
27.966 / 76,3236 = 366,41 days
Even if you will be unable to use the bonus exactly every 24 hours, the investment will be payed back after approximately 1 year and all other rewards come on top:
366 x 9 x 45,84 x 6,9 = 10.419 of each good of the current age
366 x 9 x 45,84 x 1,2 = 1.812 unattached rogues
Bringing the castle to a higher level than 58 is not recommended as thn investment and return are not in a good relationship.
This great building will not increase the strength of military units. Therefore I highly recommend that all players first concentrate on bringing the Statue of Zeus, the Cathedral of Aachen and the Castel del Monte on level 10 before they think about constructing Himeji Castle. The benefits from successful fights in the guild expedition are much better than the rewards from the castle.
For players who already have a minimum of 90% bonus on attack and defense, Himeji castle can be a very profitable investment. This includes lower ages if they have the possibility to get the required blueprints and goods from their guild, assumed that the player fights every day.
Such an amazing building. And the bonus of not having to care about supply buildings is one less stress factor

The supplies help out a lot! But, I don't get these percentages that inno gives! As I go days without anything from HC! I have a lvl. 12 HC as well! But I got the 200FP once on it! 500 goods once, but back before the June change eliminating the 100FP I got that twice on bday! But other than hitting 200FP once and those 2 100FP rewards...Typically I get 5 rogues every 2 or 3 days! I have been told things from,"Oh it's the time of day you use the charges!" To "Don't use it or SC in GBG when there's siege camps because it ruins chances!" However I've done all charges at once, as well as spread them out and I can just say that nothing has made a difference! However friends with it at level 5(you go from 4 to 5 charges) seem to do better! It's a lottery building, so best wishes! I hope you get and succeed! And @FoEhints is the best at helpful videos! I got it since the 3rd day of release. This GB hype is too crazy, ppl in EN Brisgard got it to lv 50 on the first day of its release!

I love the castle system in general. It really does a nice job of rewarding active players like me. Unfortunately, the 'tavern silver reduction' feature is costing every player that constantly does the daily side quest on average an extra 1000 tavern silver a week. I hope Inno will fix this in some way, in the near future. I put in a support ticket and they said they would pass it on. Maybe you can have some influence here
While supplies aren't impressive for later-age units, those still come in handy since it allows more unbirthday quests to be completed, which then allows the acquisition of more goods.
And while the investment is enormous, having a guild providing a 1.8 - 1.9x investment for 1st-3rd will greatly speed it up.
And it can benefit farmers, just with more difficulty. The first few battles of GE are fairly easy for almost all ages if you have some troops and rogues laying about. Farmers could also look into the neighborhood and see who has 2 spearmen as defense and then fight them daily. One more alternative method would be to find a guild and establish a GvG siege with 8 rogues that the person could easily defeat each day, though that's more situational.
I don’t like swapping out BP ... I would rather go ahead and buy that last print. I used to do the 2:1 trade thing, but when I realized after level 10, I would need BP for every level, I stopped doing that.
I personally prefer to swap BP for the first set of BP so i can quickly gain the bonus of the building. After that i just wait until I get the BP in the course of the game.
It is really good, i have it on level 5 and i have already got back at least 500 FP

Idk if I'm on a dry spell or something but my HC spoils of war have been absent for so long! But the supplies! I had someone get the goods only for the supplies! Idk why non fighters have been getting it! I've got mine at 12 and I haven't hit anything but 5 rogues every 2-3 days I'm just not understanding how I get nothing for days and days! But it's a real building! It's so beautiful! But the new cap of 91 I've heard gets great daily rewards! But great video!
It sounds like game-breaker, honestly, especially for people like me, who fairly often attack his neighbors. I'm currently in early middle-ages, but I already built Ark and tower of Innovation, and i plan on building Alcatraz. This way I will have much more chance at scoring sweet rewards during my actual course of game. Plus, supplies are sweet;)
Permanent IA player with one here. I have no Traz since GvG isn't big enough to garner one, so gaining a few extra rogues from this is super useful.
What's more useful, though, are the FPs, which I can use to buy FR goods in my case, which then are used to negotiate more maps, thus getting me more expansions.
@@tails183 I agree and this is why i am currently hunting for plans for this one. Unfortunately, it has been proven harrowing and costly to find anyone willing to part with 5th place for me to place FPs at, with cost exceeding 100 points for just one part of plan. I am considering outright buying it for diamonds, but I will wait after Event. For a moment there are things more important.
I lucked by jumping right in during the release hype, though I could still get more prints from other guild members whose castles are leveling more slowly. You just need to find someone who is leveling it more casually and get a swap going.
Spent few diamonds got the Terrance Army early. Love it

I think I will build it but not sure that 58 is the best place to stop for someone with lvl 80 arc it is profit until lvl 60, but the last few level tends to not be that much profit with a lot of FP used

What is the faded blue part of the building? I thought the blue section was supposed to be an added upgrade which everyone has forgotten about since the GB has come out.
I have now leveled mine to 30, and what I don't understand is how I never get FP rewards! I get 50 diamonds or the spoils of war kit every so often, which I wanted the FP, Or goods but those who I speak to about it say that's not right! I have gotten 50FP once from level 13-30 double charge days included and 4 10FP. That's 90FP and I mainly get nothing, from those who I have spoken to about it say they typically get about 200 once or twice a week at 28, but I just don't understand how I don't ever get FP. Could this be something I don't understand? Or I just don't know, because part of the reason players take it up high is for FP rewards, but I don't get anything near the averages! But I love your videos! Would you recommend the Bakeries from winter or the vineyard and attachments? I only have the space for one or the other!
I checked with a bunch of friends who have HC at 58 or 60. None of them said they get average of 60 fps a day. Mostly said it’s around 20 FPS a day on average at level 60. If someone has records for a month or so, please do share.

Are there any statistics that can be found for every great building such as to which level each building is recommended to be leveled up?
If you decide to construct a great building, you should bring it to level 10.
Until level 10 the the benefits grow fast with each level.
I usually do not recommend to bring great buildings above level 10 as the change with every level is very small.
If you plan to do more, I recommend to first build the Arc and bring this to a high level. This makes it much easier to then bring other great buildings to high levels.
You will notice that the levels 30-60 are very easy if you have sponsors who invest their bonus into your building.
Above level 80 it becomes really hard and only a few top players should consider this

Curious what your thoughts are regarding the Hagia Sophia. The reason I say this is because I'm trying to decide if I should swap out the HG for the Himeji Castle, which would take up less space, or just wait for more land expansions.
Many built the Hagia Sophia to make their population happy. With the new event buildings most player nie have more than enough happiness. But as you will not get back your ForgePoints, destroying a great building is a difficult decision.
@@FoEhints Yeah. I also realize I could swap out my St. Mark's Basilica and replace it with this. That might be a better choice considering the rewards with HC well make up what I get with St. Mark's.
I got the Himeji castle about a month ago, and everyday I get the battles ASAP! But I got 100 FP 2x on June 2nd since then I only get goods rewards! Do you know why I'm never getting FP rewards? Thank you so so so much you are the legendary player of this game!

@@FoEhints I know that it is, but lol I think I broke the curse lol as I was determined to get this 100FP from antiques and I got it! I'm hoping that will change things as I saw that FP and goods I get(mainly) are about the same odds however weeks of rogues and goods but no FP makes me bummed out! However I got the goods for a friend or set it up so she could the SC Goods and she's gotten nothing yet not a day goes by *please no jinx* that I don't get at least 1 reward from! But I've watched your Soccer Cup Video so many times! I've been trying to figure out if like and thank you again as the Archeology Video was so helpful as you said everyone who does all the quest should get the Blimp at max! But on the hippodrome I checked and saw that there isn't any days where there are upgrades for the two ends, I did the math and figured out that the only way to get both at max is to get all the upgrades from goals, and place silver! But wow! I think the FP random reward day should be coming up and I'm hoping to have 8 FP tracks because for the space 2 FP for 1x4 is crazy awesome! But thank you so so so much! If it weren't for your videos, I'd never be where I am! And it's so awesome as you know every single serious player knows you! Which is like incredible because that's a massive number of players you have helped! I informed my guild about the summer event building being for the coming PvP! Your math about possibility is a bit off. The chances cannot simply be multiplied. However the resultat will be similar, but a little less than yours
I had the same discussion in the German channel.
These are absolutely independent chances. The result of one chance has no effect on the next. In that case ot os absolutely legal to somply add the single chances.
Similar example:
Dice have the chance if 1/6 to show a certain number, e. g. the 5.
If you roll the dice 600 times the average number of 5s that you can expect is 100.
If you roll the dice 6000 times the average number of 5s that you can expect is 1000.
I am not talking about the chave to end up with exactly 100 or 1,000 times 5. I am only talking about the average count you can expect.
It is the same with the possibilities of the Himeji.
Some believe that once winning a reward might reduce the chance to win again in the next attempt. But be sure, InnoGames does not pick the rewards from a limited list. The rewards of Himeji are better, but as unlimited as the Ancient Faces in the guild expedition. :-)
I agree 100% that the case is one of independant chances. But you still calculate it wrongly. My point is that you e.g. calculate 4x7 = 28% as the chance to get a reward. The method to use is to calculate the chance NOT to get any reward in decimals and the withdraw that result from 1.00
The correct result would be 25,19% instead od the 28 in you example a 2 min 8 seconds

Do you still need rogue hideout for Traz if you have this castle?? Since the castle makes rogues
My Himeji Castle is on level 10 only and I am not getting enough rogues from it to be able to remove my rogue hideout. This might be different with a Himeji Castle on Level 58.
I would always keep the rogue den with your Traz. Thinking of them as two halves of the same building helps. If you're that short of space that you can't keep a 2x2 rogue den you have serious design issues to resolve
Himeji vs Terracota, wich one should I put first?
i was wondering that myself, i dont have either GB. my Zeus, CoA, and CdM are level 30 or higher.
the rewards from Himeji look awfully tempting, but the Terracota will make my troops even stronger.
depends on how you play.
Especially those who want to maximize the number of daily battles in guild battlegrounds would make a clear decision for the Terracotta Army.

@@mathieunantes true, but if you perceive it as, and use it to calculate expected values (as he did), then everything is sound again. Not hard to ignore the mistake on the percentage symbol if the end conclusion is valid, which it is.
is not a good investment ! You don't go take back the FP what you will use ! Maybe can be good for some player who have more then ten years playing !

all invested forge points for level 58 are payed back within a single year. All other rewards then come on top.
And after a year everything is pure profit, which means thousands of forge points.

Congrats Dude! You will Love it, just make sure you always go back to basics, get your 3 fighting GB's to level 10, then your Traz, Inno, Chateau, ARC all to Level 10 and keep the ball rolling, do not go up in Age until you have your City Strong & Stable! If you do you will always be struggling, you want to be able to Fight all the way through GE 4 easily before you move up in age, that is your measuring stick! All just my opinion! Good Luck!
