I'm a 62 year old blues rocker who's just having a blast learning stuff I should have learned years ago. My vocabulary is expanding rapidly....just in time for retirement!
Tim you really take the time to explain stuff. Most people on youtube just rush through things without any explanation. But you really are the real deal and a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
I’m liking this new series of basic 60/ 70s classic rock songs. Sometimes your lessons are just too advanced for the common man. We need a bit more of this
Hey, Mr. Pierce. This is really fantastic. Just the information about which strings NOT to let sound apply to so, so many tunes. Also, the bonus lesson on your site is worth its weight in gold. Thank you, both for all the great music and for being such a fantastic, generous teacher. Cheers!
For those that listen to this song indepthly, Tim is one of a very few who nail that angus "simple" run down in the main riff, g,e,D,b,a,g,D.....listen to it hard,,,, it almost sounds like 2 guitars
You are not only a consummate player but a terrific teacher as well. Thank you for this detailed lesson. I wish there was teaching like this when I started out.
Tim....I once thanked Marty, ( he did a gig in n.y ) for introducing you to us...and I still feel the same....thanks for these awesome in depth lessons.....!...just fantastic!
Dude, I learned this from ear about 100 years ago and play it exactly the same way you do. I still get my timing messed up on the intro pull off part 3-0 3-0 2-0 every time. Playing along with the record I have no problem with it, Haha. I love your style, approach, and to make it simple as possible. You are the BEST Guitarist Rick Springfield had, hands down. Ahead of your time in playing his stuff live. My wife has Ricks video "Beat of the live Drum" Which she watches all the time. (2nd or 3rd copy I think). I use full sounding chords too. Watching this video gives me more to discover. You are great and need more recognition, and in my top 10 favorites. I'm mostly rhythm, but good at it, Haha. Thank you for the share, and lesson.
Recent subscriber here. love the concise but honest instruction. Have played for 35 years and lots of paid bands but have never been able to play the first lick of the loop right. lol. I was overthinking it. This helped me understand it. Very true about the walk up part on verse, a large stretch, best to slide into last to E5. Great song selection also. thanks!
Dear Tim, thanks for this great lesson. I follow all your contributions and feel that they really help to improve my playing. I am playing Keyboards since I was 7, so for me is kind of hard to switch without taking lessons. I more or less got stuck since 1998 :-) but now there is really some progress so I am confident to play some tunes with guitar on stage with our cover band. I like your seamless versatile playing of different styles. Thanks again and greetings from Bavaria, it's near Germany ;-)
Brilliant , as a intermediate player I thought I had this in the bag but watch all the little nuances you show made me think otherwise. We are lucky to have you share your knowledge, thank you sir.
It's such a demanding piece to play, and as Angus says, he and Malcolm (RIP) are 'little blokes', so how they manage to stretch their fingers to play those riffs when an uber pro like Tim even has trouble is quite brilliant; and especially Angus doing it while jumping around maniacally!! Incredible musicians and guitarists.
Hi Tim. Love the way you teach the guitar parts of the song. This was the first song I learned to play on the guitar and again you teach every detail and posible ways of performing it in a great way. :-)
Thank Tim, teaching myself guitar with the help of your channel and the way you break the song down finger position wise and ACDC with their classic rock and challenging fingering and chords. Best regards Shannon York NS Canada
That E chord at the beginning has been used in that manner in tons of songs. I thought of the Car's Just what you needed. Or the Who's Can't explain or the Kink's Girl you really got me going.
Fantastic lesson and superb playing. Beginners want to play this and get a very rude awakening on AC/DC’s subtleties and brilliant rhythm that isn’t as easy as they thought.
Tim thanks for showing how you slide up the E string, Before I had a hard time making it sound clean, my fingers are not that long either so I started cheating by playing frets on the low E 7 to 4, 7 to 5, 7 to 6 then ending on a double 7 before sliding down to a power E cord before this lesson. Your the man Thanks again
Hey Tim - do you ever use the 2nd "click" channel of the rsa 23 for heavier gain? Or do you just crank the first channel for various levels of gain? Amazing sounding amp
Imagine it how tiring it is to do plus how angus young moving a lot on the stage doing it at the same time it's pretty amazing and he's just only 5'2" tall
Hi Tim thank you for taking the time to put these great videos on UA-cam I thank for not putting beginners or intermediates down at the beginning of your videos and what you do is make people fill anything is possible learning should be fun and you do that........I'm new to electric and your videos make me want keep practicing. ...
I only recently started watching your videos. Great job. It's good to know that some of the stuff I learned on my own is actually correct. Your very good. Great job!
Your lessons are spot on, Tim! I've learned so much from watching you and how I play has improved over the best several months because of these videos!
I'm loving your Channel Tim. I recently "discovered" I've been listening to you for 30 years or so... Great work. Love the details, finally got the little "things" I had overlooked in your "La Grange Lesson". Thanks Man. Great Tone ! (but you already know that) ;)
Wow, I just watched the other vid of alternate solo's, they all just flow. So effortlessly cool. You need to be medicated..... Clearly! Thanks for the great vids
thank you so so much. That piece is quite demanding in terms of speed. but as you said if you practice everyday you'll get to it. today is the 3th day and I'm almost there =) it is so satisfying subscribed

Tim you really take the time to explain stuff. Most people on youtube just rush through things without any explanation. But you really are the real deal and a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
Tim - your solo cadence is just tremendous. You bring a certain "swagger" to the song. Really impressive.
The solo starting at 0:21 is just so beautiful, so musical. Amazing.
The man just SMOKES Angus on the intro...💪🔥💪
Thanks Tim,that was very detailed and simplified.
Glad it was helpful!
we are so lucky to have you...you share unconditionally and with joy... Thank you! I know will probably never see this since I'm five years late!
"I think they wrote this to show everyone who's Boss." LOL - yeah - so true, Tim. And can be said for that entire Album.
