@@Ranch5150SkinWalker @sky it is always positive to have this kind of conversations beyond the guitar lessons. Nicely done - clear and simple lesson. One thing that’s worth trying when learning AC/DC tunes is to mute the major third on open chords, especially the b on the 5th string, 2nd fret when playing an open G chord. This would definitely apply to You Shook Me All Night Long (I’ve also seen people mute the g# on the 3rd string of first E chord of Back in Black, and the f# on the first string for the D chord, as I think you did, for example). Takes a bit of practise, but definitely gives the cowboy chords, especially that G, the rich shimmer of a full open chord AND a the crunch of power chord (and maybe gives Angus more freedom away from chord tones to mix major and minor, mist or whatever?) Enjoyed your vid.

I do believe so man. I actually think there's two guitars in the recording. One may be high one low. Over the years my ears have told me that those fist two notes just down sound like e and b strings. They sound more like the inversion up higher in the g and b string. 🤷

Great video, excellently played. But I would say maybe turn down the distortion a tad, don't forget it was Malcolm on his Gretsch guitar with very little distortion that started most intros.
Nice job. Did you know there are 2 guitars on the opening to Shook You All Night Long. Hear them by panning right and left speakers. Two totally different parts. I think it's Malcolms unique and simpler part somewhat buried in the mix. The opening doesn't sound right without it. You're a much better player than I was 20 years ago, but by chance I heard it while trying to figure the opening.
Nicely done. Big AC/DC fan here. I enjoy watching how different people handle the same riffs. Curiosity question: is that an R8? I'm guessing only because of the relatively plain top. I'm also a Les Paul nerd, and I like guessing these things - it's like picking out cars on the highway. - cheers!

In college...Lol...I was in the 9th grade...
Music has a way of making me feel old too. I can't believe the mid 90's are going on 30 years ago! Good grief. 😩
Yep! You can hear it in the voicings. Makes it nice and wide. Full. 😎
- cheers!
Thanks man! Yep. It's a Murphy Lab R8. Very resonant and wonderful axe! Love my Les Pauls! Thanks for watching my friend. 😎🤟🏻
Damn I wish I had all those Marshall Amps you got behind you. Where do you live? Lol

Killer lesson Marty! That LP sounds awesome too, is it a plain top R8? And were you using a JCM800 patch??
Hey Andy! Thanks man. It's a Murphy Lab R8 bourbon burst ultra light age. I found this beast at a GC in Cary NC for a good used price and sold a cork sniffer I never played (I won't say the brand to not offend anyone) to get it.
I am using the same page I use for the VH stuff. Just a Friedman BE but I have the volume turned halfway down on my guitar to clean it up!
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker Sweet, don't tell me GC thought it was a standard R8 plain top!? The Murphy Lab stuff is always priced as unobtainable!
Every Serious blues rock player should pick Angus's playing apart with a microscope
and before i get the he is not that complicated i have seen heard very few players who get his stuff right.
I totally agree with you. His style is so badass. His leads and riffs are ferocious.
Jailbreak is a great example - way more complicated than most think - ahhh…the beauty in the Young brother’s mastery…
More Marshall’s needed.
Yes indeed good sir! 😎🤟🏻

Yes!!!
Every body should learn at least 5 AC DC songs
Pefect! but only do down pics.🙂
Down picks rule dude! 😎
Back in Black, why are you adding an extra stroke on the chords?
It should be played clean.
Timing for the lesson. To show the way to feel and count the rhythm. Since many people never ever seem to count this properly
