Gotta mention, the rust in that battery box didn't just appear overnight. But you wait until it's literally falling off the truck until you fix it. Watched one minute of this video and bailed. You need to sort your sh!t out dude.
Dear J.C. Smith. 👍👌👏 2) Yeah, you're right, stay focused. Take care of the almost falling off battery box first, then your lady's car (remember: happy wife, happy life!). 😁 ;-) Then the pickup truck's head gasket and so forth. Best regards, luck and especially health to all 3 of you.
I hated the limitations we had with that ledwell gravity tilt rollback we used to have, especially loading containers. I had to laugh one time tho. We had a local truss company that used a tandem gravity tilt rollback and they came to the yard to get a skid steer. He didn’t use the rear stabilizer at all😂 you can imagine how that worked out…
Great video J.C.Smith keeping it real making space to park your trailer. Looks like you've put some thought into how you park your trucks making maneuvering your rollback. There's always something to maintain if you use it once or all the time. Looking forward to your next video stay safe J.C.Smith.
What a video. There was some views of trucks we have not seen in awhile. Which was pretty kewl to see. Makes me wonder if you still have a few trucks that were around your 1st shop. Looks like you still have work for years. Thanks for sharing. Say to the Misses and give Jeff some ice cream.
this is an "equipment" bed. the rear stabilizers are often used to raise the rear to "dock height" for loading tow motors and similar. modern equipment beds can do this as well as be a power tilt.
yes but that makes everything twice as long. see how tight it is there? would be very difficult. now from one property to the others, yes. the wrecker is a good option.
5:17 i see the white 5500 and i want it sooo bad …. But it would be such a poor decision to buy it …. I have zero use for it … its all want …. There are other things i need much more than that 5500 ….

ahh...look at you. think you have something over me. i was glad to see you "bailed". you havent a clue of what i do or how i care for my trucks.
Always a wannabe DOT officer in the comments! 🤦🏻♂️
That Bed looks old enough to be a Super 10 Grove. Which was a 10° load angle.
I would go with aluminum battery box

Don't blame you for buying that trailer. The air brake axles will be good to use elsewhere. Enjoyed the video J.C 🙂👍
its like we might have a plan for the things we buy.....

i have far too many trucks at each place. all but a select few need to go.
@@j.c.smithprojectsAre you going to move them on “ as is “ or fix and then sale ?
Is there an advantage to a gravity tilt or are they made just to cut costs on the manufacturing end ?

@ oh ok that makes sense thank you for answering .
JC could use your black tow truck to move trucks.

Work is never done. Have a great evening

You’d be surprised how many things you can find to do with a truck like that after you own it….
it makes an appearance in an upcoming video
What’s wrong with the ram at 5:19?
nothing
Primary colors red,yellow and blue
Never knew there was such a thing as a gravity tilt rollback --seems a bit iffy !!!
it has its place and purpose.
