Nice video, that bit of philosophy at the end is so true, When young I was unfocussed and lazy, and always in penury. Then I started to really work for myself, and could actually see the direct connection between the effort and the reward. And I started to enjoy, instead of resent, the work itself.
I am 62 and have been a lover of all things tank since I was a small boy! You boys have created a channel that helps old and young people to live and enjoy these treasures vicariously through your eyes!

As an ex 80`s tankie myself, Royal Hussars {PWO}, its a huge pleasure to see these old girls restored and kept for future generations to see and experience in years to come, hats off to all of you for truly living the dream,
TED is such a legendary dog. He is very calm around heavy equipment and groups of people. Rather than demanding attention and getting in the way, he calmly walks about and takes affection if it is on offer. And a handsome pup.
My young son and I live in the US, and gather round every time you post a video. He is fascinated by tanks and you are a hero to him. We've talked about traveling over the pond someday to go see tank fest and hopefully meet you someday! Keep up the great work! We really appreciate it!
At my age ( yes, I am much older than you ) I recall doing things like this when I was much younger. Learning skills I did not have simply to have them and use them, unafraid to try new things, working hard for one's self is always a great joy. You are so right about goals, extending them, making new goals. You and the team have much to be proud of, and I for one am glad to walk along with you and see this happen. Even at 70, if I had my way I'd be right with you getting happily dirty while preserving history. I celebrate these new steps with you, and look forward to seeing more accomplishments. Thanks for making all of us smile. Cheers.
Wow, three years since I found Mr Hewes and Fitter Matt. Congratulations on all your achievements. Various Tank channels came into my life in lockdown, it's been great following you all.
To expand your operation to this level in just 3 years is truly amazing. Keeping up with all the work with minimal increase in manpower is also amazing 🤠
I came to the channel when your Dad's Fastrac caught fire. You are right about seizing the opportunities in front of you. I'm an old bloke but I lost a friend recently, he had a stroke, he was 36. He had plans which he never got to fulfill.
Congratulations 🎉 You guys have no fear, that is the reason for your success. It's how I learned to fix almost anything, get a dead machine and try to fix it. It's hard to make it more broken! Building skills is the path to knowledge and wisdom. Kudos to the crew and thanks for sharing it all.
Joe, thank you for the last year that I've been following you! I think it was the BARV engine start video that first put you on my feed , and I'm still here and staying! What you have achieved in 3yrs is amazing. That you have finally got your heated w/shop, is the best thing that could make you all very happy and most important PROUD! I can't think of anybody else more deserving of a warm, clean and tidy area to work in, after what you have been through in the last 3yrs. Thank you for all your hard work, and I look forward to seeing you get the T/ladder running and properly restored as only you can! Congrats to all of you and best wishes as always.
I began watching early on, seeing young Ted chew on dad’s boot was heartwarming. From restoring these pieces of history in a shack and now in a proper shop speaks volumes about what you all have done to get here. Well done to all of you. Cheers!
Brilliant mate, lovely to see history still running ! i remember the BARV when it was still in service at instow.. never looked that good when we had it !! (Royal Marines )
