+ Sapped robots can be backstabbed from all angles
! This doesn't occur with Giant robots
- Sapper is disabled when sapping a robot or a building
! Sapping a building in MvM doesn't deplete the Sapper

@icecooler21 it's the same as stock sapper, just a reskin is all. I think you can glitch the engineer bots buildings though.

Honestly, I expected the Red Tape to make bots run backwards.

That would be a genius addition to the game. Wow. That should be a thing. Especially considering it's a different weapon, so it should have a different effect.
That should make common robots walk backwards, at their normal fast speed. But for giants it should just slowly make giants go backwards for the short duration of the sapper. While also being stunned.
they could add a upgrade that make robot's attack other robots for sapper's duration
@@hubertszajkowski8480 that’s a good idea too. Very expensive upgrade, and only one level on it. Works with the amount of robots sapped upgrade. Doesn’t work on giants, probably. Would surely be too op if it did.

A small exploit with the Spycicle is that if you use the Sapper then switch to the Spycicle and get hit by a fire attack, your knife wont melt and you gain the fire resistance until your sapper recharges
Otherwise he couldn't have a weapon to equip if his revolver was out of ammo, lol

i just cant believe that a wiki for a game that hasnt been updated in 8 years is still alive.

If I remember correctly, you only need 2 spies with sappers upgraded to perm stun a bomb bot and just keep trading
Honestly would love a rework to make it more reliable.
My idea would be having it placed on the ground like a Mine, emitting EMP bursts every second.
Any robots caught inside would be stunned, Giants would be stunned until they leave the field.
Upgrades would increase the size and duration of the sapper.
It also makes it more readable for allies to know that robo medics in the field are or will be stunned.

@@ashe._ It isnt a bug at all. Engineer bot only fix his building if they are damaged. Red Tape only revert buildings, not damage it like the sapper. But there is a bug that the Red Tape can not revert buildings in mvm (which make it a straight upgrade). So, Red Tape will stops the building from working forever if no one attacks it, unlike sapper.

I always felt like the red tape recorder should revert the buffs of the bomb carrier, i mean, name me 1 reason it should not
Because you can just backstab him to get rid of the buffs immediately.
Spy can actually be extremely helpful in MvM;
As long as someone who's not a noob to TF2 is playing as him.
Spy can distract a crowd of crits weilding bots, focusing him instead. Then after dead ring, they look around confused. This uses up a lot of time.
He can distract Giants as well.
Stab Giant's backs multiple times, then sapp before getting shot at. Giant is stunned, walking slow, and looking for spy.
This is actually pretty damn overpowered. It's an insane amount of distraction time for your teammates to be shooting at them.
Spy can be actually extremely dick in MvM;
Grinding damage on distracted giants in late waves for screenshot and then go bragging. Fuck spy.
They 100% do not look around confused when you dr, what are you smoking

Spy can be strong if you know how to use it and have a scout that doesn't get in the way.
Absolutely, but you have to get out of Weezy's echo chamber first. He truly shines on hardest difficulties when there's a lot to backstab.

The sapper is such a noob trap. It's a waste of money early on when you could be working on your knife's damage vs giants. The only real reason to use it is to backstab groups of "tall robots" like steel gauntlets or bowmen, and even then a bit of aggro manipulation and quick stabbing means you really don't need the sapper all that often. It's obviously not useless but people often assume it's the main purpose of the class and neglect upgrading the knife, which is why spy has such a bad rep in MvM.
