2 INCREDIBLE Quinta stays in Douro Valley, Portugal

- We stayed in the Douro Valley for a few days, which gave us the chance to stay in 2 different places - and one was a bit of a budget buster! Is the splurge worth it?
The Douro Valley region of Portugal has a huge variety of accommodations. We enjoyed staying in Quintas - accommodations that also produce wine and/or port. We stayed in a beautiful smaller Quinta for a few nights before moving to an extremely large posh Quinta. For the second Quinta, we opted to stay in a wine barrel - because WHO DOESN'T WANT TO SLEEP IN A WINE BARREL?! Breakfast was delivered by magic elves and made me feel like I was in a Harry Potter book. The first place had an incredible view though, and an absolutely fantastic dinner! We do a room tour of both Quinta do Bosque and Quinta da Pacheca so you can see the examples for yourselves.

Wooooowww!!! I loved the Douro Valley! We also stayed at a Quinta … with a winery. But wine barrel, how cool!
It was SO unique! It was a bucket list item that I didn't know I had! 😁😁🍷 (Also, the Douro region is so incredibly pretty!)
@@TalesFromOurPocket ha! Yes, it’s beautiful… rolling hills… I remember having breakfast daily, surrounded by wineries… and going for a hike. A great way to walk off breakfast, all the port, and to work up an appetite!

That wine barrel is on our list for when we go to Portugal! Nice narrative and background music. The food looked great and the luxury of your choice for breakfast was really nice!
