For and visit vila de Gois. You would love it . And visit Vila de Monsanto in Idanha a Nova and appreciate the stunning sunset from the top next to the restaurant
Your sister is just the cutest! Does she have a UA-cam channel of her own? If not, she should! Love that your family got to come visit you all in Portugal!
You guys look like you had fun. I'm headed back there (Porto and Braga) in April.😁 Oh my goodness! I had the best rissoto dinner at my hotel in Lisbon the last time I was in Portugal. They know how to make their stuff.
Red vinho verde is definitely an acquired taste, but I’m weird so I took an immediate liking to it! It goes well with very fat, meaty dishes, because the excessive tangyness evens out all of that unctuousness.
Lovely preview of some wineries. Not a big fan of wines so the one that could use a Venn diagram is more my style for a summation. Seeing as how I wouldn't tour very many. I have heard that about gluten sensitivity before, I'm not sure how it's possible yet. But I would love to brag about it more in my attempt to get more people on board to go there.
The only thing we can think of is the kind of wheat or way it's processed, but Mary Lou isn't the only one to say as much. The Douro Valley is more than just wineries so you'll be good to go to make a visit. - Josh & Kalie
You're welcome. Thanks for watching. We used a private driver and channel viewer named Carlos. We've gone to the Douro Valley with him 4 times now. Email Kalie at info@expatseverywhere.com and she can connect you with him if you're interested. He gives a 10% discount to ExpatsEverywhere viewers I believe. - Josh
Always fency food for ridiculous prices and you still with hungry. The real Portuguese food is in the real and tradicional restaurants and with very good wines too. Douro is a paradise, good choice to show to your family.
@@ExpatsEverywhere I will ask my Italian son in law but an internet search says ravioli singular is raviolo. Sadly you just went to a chi chi restaurant that chooses to charge a lot for small portions. Regardless of the food quality it’s not good value for the money! That can be expected in US cities like Sf or NY with a high cost of living and I can understand your disappointment. You kept it positive- that’s what’s important!
Hi: I am from Canada and retired teacher. Thinking of moving to PORTUGAL. I live on my pension now. I like warmer weather and beaches. Can you suggest a town with reasonable rent but good medical facilities since it's important for me. Thanks 👍 😊
Loved the tour.
Thank you. We're glad that you loved it! Thanks for watching. - Josh & Kalie
Portugal has been number one world destination for like 4 consecutive years and people still don’t know about it! Well good!
It's a great destination for sure. - Josh & Kalie

For gluten sensitive people I found respites in Italy as you have in Portugal. France was not the case.
That's for sharing, Susan. - Josh & Kalie
This video convinced me to go! Please send the tour operator info 🙏❤
thanks for the video sharing
for the winery trip, you booked the private driver or just called Uber/Taxi?

In Italian words that end with an i are typically plural- ravioli!
I’m uncomfortable with high prices too.
Is there a singular then? 😁 What's that because that's what we go. 😁 - Josh & Kalie
