I’m very surprised that Ural of New England didn’t resolve your issues on the first visit.
I got my 2016 Gear Up Ambassador there, and the few issues I had were corrected immediately, and didn’t happen again.
Their Techs are second to none, and they took the time to educate me on everything I needed to know about my machine.

This is why when I change the oil, I also check the torque specs on each nut and bolt. I find it saves me tons of aggravation later on down the road.

Notice the newer Ural has two bolts, I have a 2016 gear up and have never had a problem, that said I watch everything close. never had a screw/bolt/nut ever come loose. thanks you nyloc. in motorcycle racing they have what is called a bolt boy, one notch up from sweeping the floor, but still very important. bolt boy will check every bolt, nut etc before the race.

Indeed we need to check it all.

Here is the thing - I love my Ural (2012) and I love spending time working on it and for this reason, I always know what's going on, what needs fixing, what needs tightening, etc. My BMW GS? Never touch the thing, I just get on it a ride, waiting for the service light to come on. The Ural is a unique bike and if you want to ride one you need to accept that. I ride ~90% off-road with mine and I have seen weird things come off but NEVER a valve cover! That is not something that is just going to go from hero to zero on a normal ride on tarmac, which, looking at the bike I believe is where it spends its time. But you are right, there is much to know about Ural issues, and they are all part of the DNA.

@@will80913 I think your valve cover is deformed. You can try to use gasket with polyurethane sealant or sealant only. Polyurethane is better than silicone.

Здравствуй, друг. Да, клапанная крышка была неисправна и деформирована. так как он был на гарантии был заменен на Урал. спасибо за вопрос, надеюсь, у вас прекрасный день.

Hello my friend. Yes the valve cover was defective and deformed. since it was under warranty it was replaced by Ural. thank you for asking I hope you’re having a wonderful day.

Errr, you lost a valve cover…it’s like a hubcap on a car - you get a new one and you’re on your way. The only difference with an older BMW is that each valve cover is also held on with 2 M6 nuts as well…but what you gain in security you lose with valve checking convenience.

If you drive a Ural, you'll need to check torque on fasteners, a lot. I have a 2012 and I'm still using the original gaskets. If you don't want to do that, you should get another bike.
    "I thought it was water"
You should get a Honda and have the dealer do all the service if you don't notice a valve cover coming off....
    Seriously.

Yes, I thought it was water because that day was raining the entire day on and off. Yes, checking toque on all bolt may be recommended by you, but is not on the actual manual for Ural. So that means it does not exist on paper. Thanks anyway.

@@will80913 There are a lot of things that do not exist on paper which we should do and for the Ural there are many. The Ural, with its crappy design, is an acquired taste, made for specific types of people. If you are not one of these people you will forever complain and get stuck next to the road waiting to be trailered.

Thank you for your comment. I am not certain of what you speak. Perhaps you are trying to be funny? I certainly was not laughing when the side valve cover fell off the URAL, never to be found again.. Sad day.
