- For months we've been at this car adding power, giving it better looks & handling, now, it's time to give the car the voice it deserves. The Catback Exhaust from ARK Performance is probably the most anticipated part we've installed yet and we couldn't wait to get sound clips for you guys. It sounds pretty good and the sound will improve after about 2K Miles. Is there any drone while cruising down the street at a constant speed at around 35 - 45 MPH?

How's the in cabin drone? Non resonated X pipe, its got to be drone city. I have the FI LDP and Catback (the resonated X pipe with the touring mufflers) and around 2-3k RPM still has a little drone

Had this exhaust on my g37 .. in a little over a year the braided flex pipe rotted to the point of leaking and the resonator internals rattled... nice for looks, great sound for a year or 2 then its trash...

What's the full mod?
I have this setup just with the AMS lower downpipes and I have been having a huge fitment issue where the mid pipe and downpipe connect and I am having a hard time understanding why this one fitted up so easily lol
I have the same set up except well i’m a sedan but i believe the fitment issue is from the downpipes considering MAPerformance’s q60 has full down pipes with a V band

Just bought a white Q60 yesterday does this exhaust pop on its own or do you need other stuff done ?
This exhaust does not need any supporting modifications to be installed!
If you want the "pops" in the sound clips you may need to get a tune!

In the video we install an ARK catback, prior to this video we installed AMS downpipes!
Will it sound like this without down pipe mods but just the exhaust alone?
It will be similar, but not quite as loud.
What is your complete exhaust setup? Do you have full downpipes too?
At the time of filming this car had AMS downpipes!
If i instal this in california,is this legal?
If i instal this ,does the catayltic converter will be remove by this?
What about the smog test,does installing this will fail the smog or no?
This is a catback exhaust system, so the catalytic converter is untouched with this modification. We cannot confirm if this exhaust will pass inspection, as it varies a lot state to state.
Is the ark exhaust connected to the MAPERFORMANCE down pipes?
In this video it was connected to AMS Performance downpipes, but our downpipe will also fit!
Bro I was looking for a exhaust that sounds as good as my muffler delete and this is it but wat else u guys do to the car for it to pop like that bcuz other than 1 other car they wasn’t close to wat this q60 sounds like 👍🏾
Our car has a tune from AMS Performance as well as our MAPerformance downpipes!

Sounds so good, beautiful car. Do you find it to be raspy around 2500-3000 rpms? Currently have AMS LDPs w/MBRP CBE and it’s intolerable. I ordered the ARK last week! 🙏🏼
I have the mbrp as well still running stock cats ams ldp are non resonated should have run some hks resonated downs . But u will like ark fersure

No, those are just natural pops and bangs from the upgraded downpipes and tune.

ARK makes an exhaust for 09-17 QX70s! Give us a call and ask for this part number (SM1104-0107G) and we can get one ordered! It won't be listed on our site unfortunately...
I don't get why people are exited about the branding on the exhaust. It's not like it's very visible since it's basically under the car.

How much hp and tq gains anyone know ?
With just the catback? Nothing that you could actually notice. Maybe 5-10 hp, but with the increased sound it will "feel" faster!

I just bought this from you guys about a week ago. It sounds good, but disappointed in the quietness honestly. I’m coming from a FA Wrx into the vq world. I had the ets extreme, and grimmspeed catted J pipe on my Wrx, also bought from MA lol, but it sounded amazing and makes this exhaust sound like a stock Honda. I don’t have test pipes or headers on the Q yet so maybe that will help…
We would recommend upgrading the downpipes to increase sound!
@@maperformance just picked some up locally. Installing tomorrow..hopefully after doing a few Subaru down/ J pipes this “demon bolt” won’t be too bad..especially that EJ..🤮

@@danieldimatteo1 This video was the final installment of our Q60 build series, so at the point filming the car was extensively modified. While it won't be exactly the same, a stock Q50/60 would sound very similar with this ARK exhaust. Sorry for any confusion!

@@bucks4410 na diver hit the fitman was a little off burn my bumber a little bit not noticeable but it sounds quite honestly even with lower down pipes my stock exhaust straight piped is 4x louder the tone is nice but it's actually very quite after 3k miles as well so it was definitely broken in

just a little bit too loud not good in my opinion. you can have great HP without going this loud.
I don't get it, you guys have a fab shop, and build exhaust systems, but you put someone elses exhaust on your car...that seems like the wrong message to put out about your stuff
Not only do we produce our own MAPerformance fabricated parts, but we are also one of the largest automotive parts retailers in the US. We think ARK makes fantastic products and wanted to showcase this one in our build! Don't worry though, our R&D department has something in the works!
