This car has a ton of potential, but part of waking this thing up from a luxury daily driver to living up to being the pubescent spawn of Godzilla is changing out the exhaust. Yeah you can do the q50 setups across the years but the q60 is on its own as far as catbacks because of the axleback section differing in length and hangar position et.
@@shad3128 yeah, I wouldn't put the 60 and 50 in the same video just because they are both different body types, but i also would also separate the 50s depending on year because 14-15 are the vq's and 16+ are vr's which make two different tones. If i were them I'd redo the video because there is quite of bit misleading information.

I feel like people say this car is too basic and like every other ordinary sedan. & they don’t like how it’s design isn’t modern. To me I can’t say any of those things. This car is a beast and the design is so beautiful and the taillights make it stand out in the night.

I think In design it’s not taking some of the design queues of current cars, but it’s just late to refresh. I think it’s got a good design made to hold up over time
I dont know anyone that says the exterior looks bad. Ill go ahead and say the interior is fucking garbage and was my main turn off with this car.

The 3.0T platform needs at least a cat-back exhaust system and lower down pipes to sound as aggressive and loud as the final clip. Freshkiicks had Arks LDPs if I recall correctly which is why the tone is so aggressive, it was also the 3.7L not 3.0T.
Absolutely do a VR30 build! Would be interesting to see how much power you guys can put down to the wheels.
Rev9 axle back the best cheap option in my opinion at around 300-350$ and sounds great without being to loud or having any drone
I liked the ARK,you saved the best for last. But my second favourite is invidia for $900 is great value for money (bang for buck).

I think afe power has one of the best sounding CBE. Not too loud and not too quiet. You get that in-between and drone is very minimal.

Ark Grip and Motordyne Shockwave are the best two exhausts out of every other brand on the market.
I must say I'm surprised the Tanabe Medallion didn't make the list. I absolutely love the sound it produces on the Q50/60

Fast Intentions took me 3 weeks to create and ship my CBE and LDP. Maybe they are fast now and I did not regret my choice. I go the touring resonated CBE + LDP and the sound is really amazing. Not loud but deep enough to be noticed.

Good video but need points of clarity with the 3.7 vs 3.0T, the exhaust notes sound very diff.
Also, I have a 3.0t red sport with farts intentions lower dp’s with greddy evolution and it sounds great! Check out that combo.

How about an fi exhaust? I know they work with exotics. Plus it has a silent mode and a loud mode.

build it. maybe even do a manual swap on a 4 door since its already been done on a coupe. just installed mbrp 3" exhaust and i have 2.5 full catless upper and lower dp's. huge difference in power.

If it's any good? People are making 450 - 500 whp with simple bolt ons and a tune. A couple guys with upgraded turbos are making 700+ now with 800-1000 on the horizon with some mods coming out soon. It's definitely a sleeper

Fast Intentions will be my choice for my Q60 3.0TT. They have two sizes of mufflers and a option to make it resonated or just leave it non-resonated. Their CB are made once an order is placed and their quality is well known.

I ordered the FI Full catted downpipes and the cat back exhaust with the sport mufflers..... I ordered them back in June and they are back ordered so I'm not getting them until November 🤣🤣🤣..... but I'm hoping they are worth the wait!

Any key differences to note in the sound between the Ark grip and FI?
@@user-bi2me1kj7pyea, ARK is ridiculously loud and FI is much tamer but the FI has a crazy drone if you’re too low in RPM
That ARK is the top of the game for the exhaust. HUGE difference compared to the rest
The Q50 with the ark grip has a completely different engine than all the other cars on the list (3.7L na rather than the new 3.0L t) and has no catalytic converters. If you did the same to the others it would probably sound similar.

Please do it get a Q50 and put all the mods into it. I am personally building my 2019 Q50RS AWD already have LSD, LDP, exhaust, ECUTEK Tune, HX and now I am saving up for Pure Turbos.
Marcus, if you put in turbos I strongly suggest, since the motor is out, adding a FRONT Quaife LSD since you will save big $ (I have a rear LSD too). I had the front LSD installed when I had the Pure Stage 2 turbos installed. HPFP, LPFP, Nostrum injectors, and new fuel rails too. AMS tuned for 91, 93, and 100 octane. I have the Fast Intentions full catted downpipes and CBE and naturally a AMS heat exchanger.
Love my q50 but i have the remark axleback with a 3.7L awd model and its super aggressive without drone especially at 4k plus rpm. Yeah it doest have performance of a full exhaust but has a much better sound than all of these other than the ARK wich is the god of exhausts for the q50. If you guys were to build one of these should deff build a 3.7L with the stillen supercharger and an ARK exhaust and takeda stage 2 air intake. Would be pushing about 600 HP alone just starting there! Cheers great video btw!

I got a Stillen exhaust on my q50 redsport and it sounds SICK!!
The last clip of the ark exhaust is actually a 3.7 q50 which is why its louder. When added to a 3.0t its very quiet without downpipes. Motordyne or hks is my favorite exhaust for the 3.0t. I have a custom one on mine and wouldn't change it unless it was one of those 2.

What thoughts you have on the afepower cat back exhaust? I see a lot of builds on the q50 red sports model. Would be cool if you Build a premium q60 and see what the outcome is 🤙🏾

Noobie question but the last clip is of a 3.7 with the 3.0t exhaust from ARK. Would it sound different on a 3.0t and if so, how significantly?
Reviving a dead comment section... The HKS is a true DUAL exhaust. There is a center connection for strength along the pipes, but no exchange of exhaust.
I ran the same setup under the Hi-Power model on my 04 G35 that was planned to go twin turbo.
That makes a difference when you add in the turbos. I went with this on my 18 Q60 RS and it was my first bolt on within two weeks of buying the car, I have a bit over 22K on it now and it's still what I know and love. Peace, love, and to Infiniti and BEYOND!

We are a little more familiar with the Invidia and know their brand well, so that would probably be our personal choice. Can't go wrong with either, though!
hey i have a question, so say i got the ark grip exhaust system, what if i get varex mufflers would it still sound the same?
Most definitely please pretty please a Q 50 or a Q 60 hell even a Q 37 please build one and do it step-by-step that would be awesome

You should definitely do a red sport build. Stock turbos to 500 whp then replace transmission and turbos and keep going.
This is my second Q50 RS400 (2016 and 2019). Obviously, I like the car. I don’t think there is another AWD car with this much power and Nissan’s reliability (shame on Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura - I feel both are more reliable, but short of an NSX, Honda doesn’t do power and you have to pay $90,000 for a Lexus with more power). However, since the day I got the 2016, I have always said 500hp would make this car a contender, especially now since BMW and the American muscle cars have all surpassed it in power and speed. The transmission has always seemed the weak spot when going over factory go/torque. Do you recommend a specific transmission? Thank you
Q50 luxe or sport could easily make that power before needing to upgrade to bigger turbos

I'm having some issues idk but I used to own the 08 s6 with a v10 and that mofo was LOUD . Now that I'm looking to get into another car I like and it's that 3.0t . If it's not anything like the last clip I don't want it. I think I'll look for that one when I get into a q50 . It's worth the money plus your getting some performance out of it.

Ark grip all the way. In my opinion all the other ones, while beautiful in quality, weren't loud enough for me but my jaw dropped when I heard the ark. Dont care how much it costs, lord knows im gonna get my hands on one
What about the Greddy Evo just around 1100 not to many video. Planning on that one for myself videos to follow once ordered and installed
