Thanks for this great video, it did it to me today!! I took out the positive wire from the battery and screwed back on an5 the car stated again as nothing happen! Just like you I couldn’t put it on neutral, nothing....
The relearn was going good and then the security light just died and I could not finish the relearn. Am I am going to have to buy a new one and have it reprogrammed?
I bought a used set of ECM and keyset that is matched to the ECM...if you only buy the ECm I think the keyset needs programming by a GM dealer. The set cost me less than $100 and the car is worth about $1000 so I would scrap it before taking it to a GM dealer.

Ayyye. I'm doing this right now. Mine started the first days it started getting real cold out here.
I have the used BCM, but I hear this will not work. Did you do the relearn too? I will update after I get it in.
