Be prepared for the backlash and being labeled a weirdo. I wear it proudly. 10 years yoga, 5 years debt free, 2 years plant based and 6 months (seriously) learning Swift programming. I wouldn’t have gotten into these and other things if I continued listening to pessimists. Everything around us is the result of someone giving it an honest to God shot. Enjoy the journey. Thank for the drop Timothy.

I'm like you Joe, being called a weirdo doesn't bother me in the slightest lol.

I have already fully embraced being a weirdo. The most interesting people are! Life is meant to be lived, and I think trying to be someone you are not, kills your spirit. I have been debt free for about 2 years now, and adopted a simple life. I have too many hobbies that I love to be considered a true minimalist, but have adopted the spirit of it, and don’t keep anything that is not useful, and doesn’t bring me joy. At one time, I was a true minimalist. My next adventure is getting my off-grid property ready to move into by next summer.

So many people need to hear this message and me included! I am between adventures right now and went hiking today but was still depressed and thinking why am I here? What am I doing? What's the point? That's a clear indicator that I need a new game plan. Just happened to turn this on in the car on the way home and I don't know what's next, but I'm definitely more motivated to find it now.

@@TimothyWard hey tim, im a 40yr old cab driver in australia, been driving a cab for 20yrs, its so very stressful and little money, yet i keep doing it, i hate it but for some crazy reason im just addicted to the stress of it, its so hard to break away, its like a bad marriage, i fear if i quit i wont be able to get another job, anyway im hoping to retire in a few yrs as ive saved my money the last 20yrs and invested it well, i want to move to the countryside and buy a little cabin and live alone, i dont need shopping centres and theatres, as long as i have an internet connection ill be happy

Very true! I was a single mom, and I managed to dig myself out debt, and even begin to thrive. I quit teaching in the normal classroom, started teaching online, working jobs with animals that were somewhat seasonal. I managed to become a falconer and hike almost every day, while my daughter was still at home (she was a teenager). After she went off to college, I sold my house and brought an off grid property with 38 acres I have been able to volunteer with an animal sanctuary, even rescuing injured and orphaned wildlife. . By next summer, I will be living there full time. Also, once COVID restrictions are lifted, I will be doing more traveling. I had a trip to Madagascar planned, but it has been delayed. It doesn’t mean I won’t be traveling though. Unfortunately, I have had some health issues, but they are being managed now, so all my plans are set off by a year. I am only 41, and getting ready to take off in the next adventure! My daughter is living in Alaska, and I am planning on having some adventures up there, including going on a dog sled ride. I have already been to Juneau, and now will be exploring the interior and Kenaf peninsula. I am not rich, but I have adopted living simply and a debt free life. I am okay with camping out for traveling adventures.

once i did seasonal work in tyrol in austria (living in vienna wich s the maincity)
and honestly that was the most interesting amazing times in my 30 years of life...
my father kinda tried to convince me that i should stay in the city and get a save stable long lasting job.
i was trying to convince myself that i should get a uni degree and get a good job and marry and get a kid....
now i am 4 years again in the city after my seasonal experience and i miss the mountains and the countryside almost everyday...
your videos remind me of a better life... takes courage but i will eventuelly leave the big city and get back to the hotel !

This video made me subscribe! I came across your channel while researching something on my heart a few days ago and I’m so glad I did. This video was recommended to me today New Years Day 2021 and wow! I just had this conversation the other day about the status quo, and here you are confirming all I was feeling almost word for word... it’s almost scary. The universe works in magical ways. I’ve always said... why settle for a fraction, half or only part of the dream! To settle for even a fraction of it is still settling for the status quo. We should always strive for the dream in its totality! And be loyal to that vision we have for ourselves. Conquering our fears is part of that process of getting where we want to be. Thank you so much, Tim! This video was brilliant and inspiring to me! So grateful. Happy New Year! 🥳

I am a very ambitious person - However I have a husband and child & my husband has really stagnated in his life. He stopped seeing friends, exercising, became quite addicted to gaming & I can't have a conversation with him about the things that matter to me. I have been really open with him with communication but I haven't been able to provoke any changes in him in over 4y. I was sick for 12y then had a devastating accident & injury which forced me to rethink my life & what matters... which means I have come a very long way in my personal development and career goals but my husband does not support straying from a steady yet dead-end job. He wants to buy a house we can't afford. I want to travel & make make friends and continue building a brand that I truly believe in. Any advice how to handle it? I want to have a fulfilling life & to give my child a healthy balanced life.

Divorce. It sounds harsh, but it happens. People grow apart or stop growing altogether, but you shouldn't allow yourself to be dragged down by someone else and the progress they aren't making. You can still love him while going on to live the life you want for yourself. Just make sure he isn't the cause of regrets you have at the end of your life since he's already living the life he wants while you suffer by his side

Hey Tim! Thanks for the video. Please be patient with my ignorance and general lack of exposure with this question. Okay. You seem really intelligent, as expressed in your ability to communicate well. Yet the jobs you mention don't seem to be particularly sophisticated in terms of the skill-set you need to perform them. Did you go to college? What did you study? My mind is thinking that you went and you have a skill set that matches your intelligence but you prefer not to be behind a desk 40 hours per week. I completely respect that and I actually admire it because I think it's terrible when people get rewarded for their good education with jobs that keep them stuck indoors behind desks. But I could be wrong about your background! Please enlighten me, because where I'm from, people who are not as well spoken tend to be the ones doing the types of jobs that you do. It is not my intent to offend you, like I said, I am just underexposed. Thank you for your patience with this question.

I have home and day jobs and still going in nature every summer. So … what’s the message here? That in order to enjoy nature you have to be homeless and working seasonal?Your way of living is not realistic , won’t take you anywhere. You have to live in a way that secures your old age ( bc it’s coming without warning and it’s not fun).
