- Life really isn't that complicated. All we really need to do is get through it. Yet we humans have decided over the centuries that we need to make it hard. The more 'civilized' we become, the more standards we set for ourselves that need to be met in order for us to be 'successful'.
But instead of making our lives better, these new rules and regulations just cause us more stress and rob us of our joy. I think deciding to live a simple life is the key to cutting through all the brainwashing and learning to live a life filled only with things that matter.
Living simple is not that hard to do, in fact our ancestors did it for 1000's of years, and were happy humans for it. And I think that's why more and more people are opting out of the system and choosing rv living, vandwelling, living in cars, seasonal work, and other nomadic lifestyles.

Most definitely. All these other so called guru's try to make us have to do mental gymnastics, this guy shows life really is very simple. The information highway started bogging everyone down and made everyone think that the more complicated life is the better it is. Cases of massive depression and anxiety shows otherwise. He does. I’ve been following Tim’s journey for years and he hasn’t wavered on the message. He lives simply. And he’s happy (and realistic, he lets you know that things aren’t perfect.) and so down to earth.

I hate to be the one focusing on the negative, but I wonder who watches such spiritually positive video that doesn’t judge anyone and then hits the thumbs down button? Like how did they get here, why are they here?
Maybe they have unhealed wounds? They are discouraged? Some people are in a place of darkness still that when they are faced with the Light they run back to the dark and hit thumbs down on the way out. It is a spiritual blindness of sorts and they cant see just yet. They are in a painful place however maybe next time they will pick up a little more light. Hopefully baby steps.
It is our kindness and patience with them that can point them to positive living. Let us keep encouraging others with giving our love. Love can heal others. Amen.
ForgiveAndLove09 definitely. I have suffered with depression and understand there is not a cure for it. There will always be highs and lows. I just have a hard time relating bc even in my lows tearing someone else down has never crossed my mind. Others thriving helps pull me out of my lows and gives me hope. I hope one day these people will come to that point bc it is such a relief. 🙏🏾

I saw a nature show a few years ago that really opened my mind. It was about gorillas. What did they do all day? They woke up, foraged for some food, napped, socialized, foraged for food, socialized, mated, napped, socialized, slept. It's what most animals do. But, as you say, we humans had to go and make things harder than necessary.

The wisdom in this video is A+. This perspective can unlock a world of happiness, motivation, and tranquility. To live a simple life doesn’t mean you don’t have to pursue worthwhile goals. Keep at them, just don’t forget the base line simplicity.

Life is hard. We sometimes can become the product of our past and the human mind is hard to control and make peace with. Keeping peace and finding yourself and saying true to yourself is hard in it self. Humans do make life more complicated but we can also learn to make it more simple and uncomplicated. 💜

Amen!! Well said! I think some of us are slowly seeing this and moving back to the simple life. We’re getting tired of the rat race, materialism, consumerism and the dependency on money. Its getting ridiculous that money is attached to everything.
Amen to that. It’s always a struggle for me to try to meet societies expectations versus just living life for me on my terms.
Possibly my favorite rap lyric ever is "Food is food, water is water, air is air, the rest is mental." It's true. Virtually all of our dread stems from the psyche, and it's best to be aware of that.

This is true. The more I go to quiet areas the more happy I am and the quality of relationships I make in small towns is much better than in big cities.

Actually been forced to due to ill health. Although i dont want to have illnesses... Im having more freedom. Watching your videos made me realise that my thoughts about down sizing really works... Your mind feels more free. And being around happier people really helps us. Also trying to not be around negative people puts diamonds in your life. 😍💎😊

That is a beautiful concept! As civilization advanced since our ancestors it was headed towards technology. That is why they built pyramid and monuments to man’s greatness. There are too many in the world. Man will adapt. Things are headed the way that it was designed to go. People form communities, people band together, then those communities start to take from other communities. It is a beautiful concept!

I've always been a simple liver. But now I've realized the most happy life is a simple life.
I love this video. I came to that conclusion, life is about surviving not about the things you have.
Enjoy the little things in life along the way, like waking up to have a nice coffee, or a nice cold beer after a hard day's work, or just stopping to listen to the soothing sounds of that heavy rain fall.

Alot of times we think we need all these things to live. Less is living, more is a headache. ❤❤❤❤
I agree with these points for the most part, however, comparisons to lives in the past from the standpoint that they were "simple" or "easy" is problematic. What we would call a "simple, happy life" today is only possible because of the technological and cultural advancements that we have made as a species. If any of us were suddenly plopped into lives 200, 1K, or 10K years ago, we would soon realize that things were stressful, difficult, and dangerous as compared to modern standards. Yes, people today can hop in an RV, drive around, get jobs here and there, and live simple and happy lives. But, that is only possible because there are such things as RVs, jobs, grocery stores, and a society with laws and culture that almost ensure that nobody will kill you and take your stuff.
A major cause of death, until not very long ago, was drowning. Imagine that you had to risk your life every time you went to get water or did the laundry.

You and me would be a match made in best friend heaven the way you see things. Same exact way as me. I'm just a few steps behind you suffering a relapse and afraid of opiate withdrawal even though i have resources to make it more comfortable and durable including suboxone, a short taper, I'm tired of suffering the pain. The pain is what traumatizes me and causes post Acute symptoms as well. If im not traumatized throughout detox i will succeed. I'm just afraid right now Tim :((((

We have been enjoying unseasonably warm weather also! Life is not always simple foe everyone everywhere but many times we humans definitely make things harder than they need to be.
Baseline: Enjoy yourself and lessen [or ignore entirely if you have a lot of mental fortitude] the goals made by society like getting all this money and fame and etc.

I think every life-form has this yearning for eternity. We, being humans with our complicated brains, are always trying to shape our environment to somehow bring us closer to this "ever-lasting paradise". I guess that's why we always strive for the idea of "success/money/fame/wealth/etc". But because all the things we do involve sacrifices either directly or indirectly, people have vastly different opinions on everything. Imagine that we have all these advancement, cultures and languages around us, I guess it just makes us perceive life as highly complex.
Just my thought... But, I really like your perspective of trying to simplify things, which I'm currently working on. Cheers!
