Sounds great. Can u explain in further details. That will help us understand how to execute these suggestions. In the comments or send me an email tmedcaf88@outlook.com
@@Ocatoe369HS To me, this just basically breaks down to: don't be afraid to be YOU! The original, authentic YOU, untainted and unjaded(red underline, so I assume I made that word up?) and unafraid. Procrastination comes from doubt of what you originally instinctively decided through the computing powers of your nervous system was the correct next move. Confusion, which can be contagious and often is, comes from illusions. There are myriad illusions which can be deceptions if we don't sift the true from the rest. Do you know what deceptions are? [It was rhetorical. If we knew deceptions, they wouldn't be correctly called deceptions would they?] So again, the supercomputer that is at your disposal and allows interpretation of this condition one finds oneself in is the only thing that can pick the correct path from the infinite paths one could take(for THAT ONE!) Wandering thoughts arise when we try to pontificate on matters that are none of our business as individual Navigators of this condition. We can only decide on an individual level. Past that, the waters muddy or bloody into chaos wilderness beyond our scope of ability to pathfind. Being soul -passive/-aggressive happens when we stray from our soul's intended seat, which is at the "center", so to speak, of one's being. And don't get me started on busyness. I try not to know it. I am turned away from it naturally. Mostly because it just sounds dull, boring, etc. Like a rigid system without much purpose in a constantly changing existence, haha. If I rambled without making much sense, I might have pontificated this whole reply up. If that is the case, ignore it as best you can and move on. I am not, not was I ever, a pontiff. I'm just Timothy and thought writing down these thoughts was the next right thing, so I went with it.... ♋✌️
the full quote “Power is dangerous. It corrupts the best and attracts the worst. Power is only given to those who are prepared to lower themselves to pick it up.” It is similar to a quote by Fyodor Dostoevsky "Power is given only to those who dare to lower themselves and pick it up. Insights: 1. Confront your darkest fear & be comfortable with it. 2. Actually fear of failure is not that much bad, it keeps you alert, focused & become grounded. 3. Channel you horrible past, past failures & pain to something meaningful & significant & use that energy for which you are born to create. 4. Use your strong emotions as a greatest source of motivation. 5. The greatest regret is realizing not achieving your full potential. Wake up & do your work before it is too late. 6. You are obsessed by yourself so much that you are not paying close attention to what others people are saying. To become an empathetic listener, go on to other people’s head & find their stories interesting rather than your own. 7. You should never allow success go on to your head. Repetitive success makes you arrogant & overconfident. You may lose all of your achievements in a single blow next time. So, FAILURE is good. Robert Greene is one of the most powerful & influential philosopher & psychologist of modern times. Good to see he is recovering from his stroke. We are eagerly waiting for his next book, “The Law of Sublime”.
He is dark by nature ..most of his kind are.. sick.. sadistic...to control his blood thirst😈 demonic behavior ..I wonder does he beat himself..or stay deep in the woods...far from hue-mans...you know man->kind..savAGES
Greene is as prolific an author as a James Patterson, Nora Roberts, or Stephen King. He is a "guru" but doesn't even realize it! Humility is priceless. Thanks Lewis for having his story of survival show us how he lives what he "preaches" and teaches.
I don't know if its only me, but I connected with almost everything Robert said. Inspired me to make changes in my life. Hope everyone who wants a change in their lives makes that change too. Peace to everyone out there.
You are right, I feel thesame way . Mr. Green has a brilliant mind. I hope God give him many more years for he to recuperate complete and keep helping the humanity with his great books. God bless him, his family and all of us. 🙏
This interviewer was honestly terrible, quite apparent he did a quick research on Greene and didn’t even read the book. Oh u have 2 cats? Oh I have no idea what the first law is.. Not much chemistry, I recommend checking out other interviews, ones he did with a guy named Barry are fantastic
I also love that Lewis listens patiently as a student and that he does not interrupt Robert's thought process. I think that's one of the best qualities of a great interviewer and also Lewis has a very pleasant demeanor and has a smiley face so that's always a plus :)
@@panthershakti2911 yeah ,he has improved...in previous videos he would interrupt the people he's interviewing. This is certainly a massive improvement.
I used to turn off this “forbidden” side of me because I thought it was so unrighteous but when I think about the times I had my greatest successes it was when I was feeling my darkest. At times I had to even create an enemy in my mind when I didn’t have one to pull this energy from. This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever watched.
*Your dark side is a PART of you. Don’t learn to avoid them or get rid of them, but learn to live ABOVE them. Let them teach and guide u from time to time* 🙏
I agree. One thing I know is that no matter what we know, we always do that which we are able to do. But learning is part of life, so let's keep learning and teaching others.
14:20 Is so powerful because on July 2020 was the day I wanted to chase success instead of doing nothing with my life, and it's all because I became self aware of my surroundings. I gave up on blaming people, God, and things that were out of my control. Victim mentality is what stopped me from enjoying life and seeking success.
" The best skill to have is to be able to get inside the minds of other people, if you develop that skill, nothing will ever stop you" This is going to be my motto for the next 12 months
that is a great motto my friend, i hope you achieve all that your after. this year is sink or swim for us all. and i know were going to rech the otherside.
Robert Greene's books completely changed my life. I went from being completely down and out to having some real success in the music and wine industry... the advice in his books are no joke. Also this is an awesome podcast. Thank you!
Which ones would you recommend someone to start with? And does listening or reading better? I have a feeling this mans work could lead me out of my stuff too. I have been following Jordan Peterson, but Robert is talking to my desire to live in my empathy in order to be in alignment in my life. Have been having a hard time finding it consistently.
Timestamps for me to look after best lines. 8:00 repetitions 11:20 21:10 failures 27:00 - 30:55 repressing emotions 31:00 - Robert Greene's favorite law pre-stroke from his book 38:45 - Greene's favorite law post-stroke 45:25 way of improving 46:20 Greene's favorite law from laws of nature (darkside)
Thus guy is speaking from his heart; he is raw and real. This talk is helping me through a lot right now. Thanks Lewis, I can’t wait to listen to his books.
He sounds like someone who has learned these things from personal experience, which is I think why he sounds so genuine and can speak with authority on these matters. I don't know the guy and I don't know his past or anything like that but it's just the overall feeling I get from him. He has helped me through some things as well. I've only read his books before today. Seeing and hearing him speak is showing me his humanity that I have to say I questioned when I read 48 Laws of Power way back maybe 12 years ago. I think it was the forward or something like that, pre-chapter 1 I think, that said something like if you aren't looking to gain more power, you're lying to yourself. Power is the name of the game and all-important in the conscious journey we find ourselves in. Back then, my ego rejected this notion and I probably judged his worldview(never claimed sainthood, haha.) Over time I think I began to see what he was saying more, but tonight, I feel I understand with much greater clarity. ...But it might be my ego again... That guy's a real pain in my ass at times... If y'all see him around here anywhere, kindly let me know so I can chase him off. But don't be too harsh/judgey when informing me of his presence. He feeds on that shit too. Smh. One is these days, I will transcend that fragile, fickle, fair-weather f(r)iend.
I've realised all my best teachers are men ..An awakened man is such a blessing to humanity .It doesn't seem to come naturally for men to seek truth and wisdom but when they do ..Wow !!! 🙏
I feel this interview has instantly changed my life. I've started reading his book The 48 Laws of Power after watching this and I haven't read a book in 30 years.
I’ve just finally faced my dark side. I know what I am, and now I’m learning how to channel it in a positive and constructive manner instead of leaning into it and wreaking havocs. Good luck to everyone on their journey.
12:00 ! This is so deep that most people won't catch it the first time. We say "attitude is everything" great, we see it's valuable. More valuable than that is recognizing what shapes our attitude in real time. This is how you nip massive setbacks in the bud BEFORE they can beset us and those around us.
@@user-xk6hr7bc5v - Maybe rewatch this video, but this time focus on the words only. If you really focus on the message then you'll realize that your anger is a personal choice. You manifest your reality. You chose to watch this video, but then you allowed yourself to write it off before you had the chance to truly understand what this man is saying. He is a famous writer of many successful books. I feel like every person has at least one thing that I can learn to enrich my own life. I just feel bad for lazy people who make excuses that allow themselves to be unhappy. We have only fear holding us back. Robert Greene changed my life....I managed to put my life in a different direction thanks to the courage that slowly bottled up from exposing my self to this man's body of work....thank you Mr. Greene, you do not know how much I truly thank you for allowing me to understand my failures and why they happened. Is he not something of a human-ethic and materialist, with the thought of us being animals,non-spiritual outlook? Someone who doesn't include spirit and the human being as its own kind (not a just a higher species of animal). Denying the human individual I and spirit is a black around his foot.
I'm a Massive stroke survivor its been 12 yrs now! To God be the glory 🙏 🙌!! Im determined 🙏 to relearn everything on the opposite side of my brain!!! You keep pushing and do the best you can!!!

@@_.-c well, they teach us how to deal with our more primitive parts. Attraction between man and woman is dependent on this. Soul alone cannot induce sexual attraction. So indeed, he is right but also says that we need to be careful and evaluate carefully. So I can’t see where he should be “sick”
Hearing him talk about his stroke and say that he's grateful to at least say that he celebrated the 2nd anniversary of his stroke rather than the 2nd anniversary of his death is so inspiring. A nice reminder to not take your situation, no matter how terrible it may seem to you, for granted.

Yessss, agreed. I just learned there's a young lady in her 20s writing a life guide book for navigating the 20s age range in today's times. I'm in my 50s but I'm def going to purchase when it arrives.
Thank you for making the interview with the genius Robert Greene! He is so humble, well articulated encyclopedia... I’ve read all of his books and he has changed my life forever
Robert Green has definitely been 1 of the most inspirational honest soul I've seen thus far.. and large credits to Lewis Howes for always asking precise questions that puts the interviewee on the spot of confession to give listeners the information that we are longing for!
"This is the time not to sit and feel sorry for yourself now is the time to read books, increase your mind by watching videos." Me: Blinks real pretty at the screen so he can tell that's what I'm doing by watching this rn!
Definitely my favorite author. I do wonder what his genuine personality is like. He is so aware of human nature and these laws, he could he putting a mask on whenever he does interviews. He is so genuine at the same time, he doesn't understand that he will go down in history as one of the greatest authors
Greene himself would agree that personality is a mask. What mask you put on in any situation depends on your understanding of the situation, and how vulnerable you want to be in that situ.
Go Robert Greene! I did not know he had a stroke..as he says transmuting negative to positive, it is profoundly powerful to see him in this state of simultaneous peace and determination following such a colossal and truly terrifying event. It works folks. A true inspiration to me, in writing and in speech, I am jealous of Lewis getting to sit down and have this REAL ASS CONVERSATION with him. Go Robert Greene!!
Robert Greene is a master because he managed to combine story telling with purpose driven writing to achieve a goal or teach a lesson. He is a true genius.
Lewis.. Your a class act bro. Its your show/channel and you still show the ascended teacher great respect by taking notes. You listen more than you talk and thats just another reason your successful. Im takin notes from you Sir. Oh Roosevelt's battle with polio is the opitomy of " its not what happens to you, but rather how you react to what happens to you". He will be remembered in 200 years and yet he suffered great physical and emotional pain while toiling through this mortal plain.
“All the world’s a stage, and each must play his part” = a contemplation on each ones 7 stages of life, as mooted by Shakespeare. You may measure yourself against each stage - and I find it an empowering privilege to continue to do so - however, be mindful that COMPARATIVE JUDGEMENT is a deep well. Be grateful and happy that this writer mirrors what it is that your curious MIND wants to hear at this point in your journey 👍🙏👏.
Robert is such a legend, by listen to him and observing the hard trauma he is been through you realize that your less tough traumas are overcomable. Lowis is such a humble and natural human being. He is really easy to talk to and you can see that.
Actually very true. Darth Vader was man destroyed by his emotions turned “dark side”. The fact that he was “good turned evil” only proves how we all automatically see success as emotionless.
Robert Greene has been an educator and an inspiration to millions! I want to thank the man personally! All of his books changed my life! I can say this with no bull shit Robert I love you! I don’t know you but I love you as a brother and a mentor! Good bless you and you’re a great man!

Great work! Great work!
Book of Judges, Joshua, exodus Deuteronomy, Mark, Acts, Ruth Daniel, Psalms, Galatians Ephesians first Corinthians First chronicles, james and Leviticus
If Robert thinks he will be forgotten in 200 years he is VASTLY underestimating the power of his work. He is, without question, able to stand with the likes Miyamoto Musashi, Machiavelli, Sun Tzu etc.
He is interesting and smart. But not nearly the caliber of the the men you mentioned in terms of influence and historical standing. The question is, will he be studied in academic settngs in 200 years, or 50 for that matter.
I love his point at 24:00 - I have always naturally been a future oriented person, to where I almost have difficulty living in the present. LOL. But I am always all about my goals and the next thing, always looking forward.
That's real now! The kind of quote that makes perfect, transcendent sense now. Then my forgetters kick in, whatever chemical cocktail that is in my bwain, and before I know it, I'm unforgiving (and unforgivable...) As MJK says, I MUST keep Re Mind Ing My Self of THIS!
Well, is death really a curse though? I believe people don't really understand how kind they are being wishing death on others... But, in turn, a malign intent is still negative energy 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you both for this interview... I was going through a terrible time a little while back... a family betrayal that ruined my finances, credit and lost most of my belongings... that was both nice things lost and also priceless sentimental... and left in a situation that was precarious and dangerous... that book opened my eyes because all of a sudden The enormity of this situation...reading that book... I saw my family... so much abuse and dysfunction... Id been shamed for ever being protective of myself or calling out abusive behavior... I slowly became more and more unwise... more and more controlled ...main weapons were spiritual abuse... turn other cheek... forgive with no end....no boundaries allowed... and it opened my eyes big time. I hadn’t even allowed myself to see danger as that was shamed... anger was shamed, even confidence shamed, aspirations ALL shamed... So I basically read the book and was like, ok-there are dangerous and dysfunctional people all over the place but I didn’t delve deeper because obviously I don’t agree with being all manipulative like the 48 laws which was like a guidebook to what I experienced in my family... it was just good to know to be able to process my life. So 3 years later, I’m glad I watched this ... I’m still processing but what I’m getting from this now is there is dark energy within love (sparkling darkness) and light energy within love (sparkling light) and then there’s EVIL--evil light and evil dark and I don’t ever want to go there. BUT sparkling darkness.... it’s what I’ve been missing !!! It’s what I was shamed out of!!! It’s dense, deep, mysterious, powerful energy!! It’s beautiful!!! I was first deceived by Christianity but then that same stuff was in New Age! If people are cruel, you attracted it? Lies! You just have to be able to SEE correctly and to do that you have to be GROUNDED!!! I had on rose-colored glasses thinking being “good” would protect me... and it’s simply not ENOUGH! Christianity, New Age is like fairy tale delusions of if you’re good and loving enough you can turn any monster into a prince! My GOD, the only thing I can say I’m impressed about is that I held on to false ideas, trying to be good, even as I was dragged down a dirt road with rocks! 😂 that’s how dedicated I was to “love”. Now I see so many of my impulses to protect and direct MY SELF WAS the voice of LOVE and I overrode it because of the wrongful moralities I was taught... trying to be “good”... Creator includes each of US... we’re to be protected and respected TOO! And people sick with ego see all this love love love love and transparency transparency transparency transparency as a TARGET!!! Dark sparkling energy is the sacred I !! The I that is connected to Creator and through THAT connected to ALL. When I was very young, I was very wise... beatings, withholding food, being called bad/demon possessed... before 5 and below I had extreme clarity... I KNEW they were evil... then it was just layer upon layer of trauma and false shame and the desire to please... the carrot of if you are GOOD, you will be loved!!! Good meant-no boundaries, endless abuse and always forgiving, no boundaries, being controlled--but had no idea I was being controlled because Id say to myself... I’m strong, I’ll be “loving” I can take it... a never ending martyr... cutting off pieces of myself for others... I’m astonished and grateful I’m alive. The sparkling darkness is deep, dense, powerful, wise... the light is the JOY and the sweet kisses of life every day! But the light can be a LIE too-light can be BLINDING. Anyway, that’s what I’m taking from this... I literally felt that part of myself return last night... I recognized it clearly... a missing and essential part.... and the darkness in me is true and beautiful and sparkling. Within love, that’s how are darkness is with all of us. Our soul is our original good... cleansing our spirits with the power and connection in our souls. Hope this makes sense to someone. This interview just changed my life. I’d thought of the sparkling light and sparkling darkness thing a long time ago (because I don’t like how light and dark is used for good and evil because it is the foundation of racism. Metaphors are powerful.)... but I also knew, I didn’t have that sparkling darkness... I’ve been lost without it... so un-grounded and lost... people as idols (I see now-people who spoke as FALSE PROXY FOR GOD) that I made sacrifices to to prove I was good to try to get love-because that’s how I taught it works! Both in Christianity and New Age!!! Pure of heart but full of IGNORANCE and like he said-it these delusions you don’t even learn the right LESSONS!!! I got worse and worse trying to be MORE AND MORE loving and giving... just offering my neck to be sucked of my BLOOD, my LIFE FORCE! it was a part of me that was shamed and so denied... reclaiming this power... a huge and important part of my spirit and wisdom and feeling has returned... emotion and wisdom in motion ❤️ It IS an experiential event! It’s natural to all of us! I feel grounded and powerful in a way I haven’t felt since 5 and under. Now is just the beginning❤️Thank you, Mr. Howe and Mr. Greene. I wish you both so much of exactly what your soul and spirit needs!!!!
One thing I loved about this interview & Robert captures this idea in the laws of human nature when he's talking about having a mask you show the world. Robert was sharing his fear of failure, despite all his success. NO one is immune to this feeling no matter what people have accomplished. but despite this feeling, he overcomes it by becoming a relentless student of his fear & understanding it. So powerful that through his books, he does this over & over & over again by going headfirst in it by going balls deep on the WHY. This interview was intense holy shit. Amazing work Lewis
Authors are of two categories 1st who write for themselves (name- fame -money etc) 2nd who actually write for making readers life significantly better by inspiring and enlightening idea. Robert greene belongs to second. Thanks for posting this vedio.🙏
I was hooked at the beginning of this conversation with Greene revealing his struggle with his stroke recovery - just so forthright and candid - you don't see that very often.
Im 21 years old studying psychology and im happy to say I’ve learned so much from Robert, thank you for this! Feed the mind which leads to wisdom and knowledge for later generations! Make it worth it because 200 years from now we would be nothing but a lost memory God forbid, may we make every moment worth it even the dark ones. Be resilient!
His gracious, positive dealing with his stroke is a proof Robert really internalised and practises what he writes about in his books. An extraordinarily integer writer.
Probably the BEST VIDEO or INTERVIEW on the internet today!! So amazing and he covers covid, relationships, the past, and how to overcome it all. Thank you Lewis Howes for interviewing Robert Greene. So Incredible! I needed to hear this.
You betcha pal its like that song everyone's a winner because they are, until the game is over through time and or unforeseen occurrence which befall every one but stupidity or foolishness and ignorance ,lack of proper education are dangerous .I do not wish but pray for your future blessings to be abundant !
I feel extraordinarily inspired when I listen to people like this. It's an awesome thing to hear reasonable, intelligent, decency in deep thoughts of life.
"Defeat and failure is the best thing that could ever happen to you." "Do you think- say that again?" I love how that key point almost got glossed over, but he went back and asked for a follow-up about it. Great catch.
I enjoyed every single minute of watching this. I tend to put myself in this bubble of perfection because it's really hard for me to accept that I have flaws. Now I know better than to run away from my dark side. I shall face it head on! Thank you for your enlightenment Mr. Green.
I don't get how could there be 1.2k dislike for this video. Robert Greene is a man of wisdom. I feel grateful that I got the opportunity to read his books, and benefited a great deal from it. The wisdom within his books can save people from many years of struggling and suffering. I only wish I had read his books when I was 18, so I might be able to avoid all those bumpy and torturous roads.
In a perfect world where there are angels definitely. We live in the world of egos. One of the best lessons I have got from his interview.undoubtedly Robert Greene is the most amazing human alive
My favorite author, because he writes about real things, about reality of how the world and people operate and how to master one’s self. Actionable, useful life advice, so refreshing. I have to give him the biggest compliment I can give someone, Robert is extremely self-aware, humble and has an amazing attitude of always looking at himself first when there is a problem in some sphere of his life. Amazing and extremely admirable. Hope he lives a long and healthy life, because I want to meet him and have dinner with the man. Has my outmost respect.
Lewis man... No interviewer has asked as many of my questions as you.... And has such a vast, diverse selection of people that I would want to hear from. I just gotta say that it is so satisfying to have someone ask all the questions I was thinking, or better yet the questions I didn't think of but still want to know. -Hat's off to you and all the work that "The School of Greatness" team puts in to having successful interviews. It is greatly appreciated and the work is not in vain.
I have been feeling totally hopeless about life after a major injury and losing my sport, plus a relationship breakdown.... this is a really fabulous interview.
I LITERALLY was just talking to my bro a couple of days ago and told him that "When I was my darkest, allowed the darker side of me to be one with myself...I was successful, 'happy' if you could call it that...but when I changed, begged to change, cared far more about others than myself and put everyone before myself...I became far far less successful, unhappy to the point I honestly don't know or remember what happiness was....humans take my kindness as weaknesses, view me as submissive because I bite my tongue and hold my hand and my wrath....but...I know my darkside has been demanding to be one with me again" I never feared failure, but I had always feared success, because then it means I would truly be alone and can trust no one.... And as of recent...I've finally dealt and embraced that fear...and have an overwhelming calmness and unearthly feeling of great things coming and happening. And then this shows up in my TY feed, smh.

Or was that confusing? Now that's really 😂. Er . . .
Greene is as prolific an author as a James Patterson, Nora Roberts, or Stephen King. He is a "guru" but doesn't even realize it! Humility is priceless. Thanks Lewis for having his story of survival show us how he lives what he "preaches" and teaches.
“Defeat and failure are the greatest things that can happen to you.” Damn 🔥

We all connected bc he speaks the TRUTH!
I really enjoy listening to your comments. It's truly amazing and you are truly the most inspiring person I have ever met.
I also love that Lewis listens patiently as a student and that he does not interrupt Robert's thought process. I think that's one of the best qualities of a great interviewer and also Lewis has a very pleasant demeanor and has a smiley face so that's always a plus :)
I agree. Lewis is a genuine guy and it shows!
Yes I agree! Love that he’s patient!!
a non-interrupting interviewer is a rare and wondrous thing.
Besides he diligently takes notes. I admire a guy like that.
@@panthershakti2911 yeah ,he has improved...in previous videos he would interrupt the people he's interviewing. This is certainly a massive improvement.

That is huge. Thank you. I will try this.

Smh.

We are blessed to have Robert greene in our Generation
The legend is going down in history. Long live KING 👑
Thanks Renee! Your kind words are very much appreciated! 😊
I have been feeling totally hopeless about life after a major injury and losing my sport, plus a relationship breakdown.... this is a really fabulous interview.
Stay consistent.... transformation is consistent. Your rise is consistent. A fall is but a rise closer to the true self. Your winning is silent 🔕✨
Acknowledging our dark side, we each have it, is crucial to our being able to connect with our wisdom.
I am going through some shit right now and too see Robert say these things, just gives me so much hope!!!!
I hope you will come into a safer, happier place soon.
I LITERALLY was just talking to my bro a couple of days ago and told him that "When I was my darkest, allowed the darker side of me to be one with myself...I was successful, 'happy' if you could call it that...but when I changed, begged to change, cared far more about others than myself and put everyone before myself...I became far far less successful, unhappy to the point I honestly don't know or remember what happiness was....humans take my kindness as weaknesses, view me as submissive because I bite my tongue and hold my hand and my wrath....but...I know my darkside has been demanding to be one with me again"
I never feared failure, but I had always feared success, because then it means I would truly be alone and can trust no one....
And as of recent...I've finally dealt and embraced that fear...and have an overwhelming calmness and unearthly feeling of great things coming and happening.
And then this shows up in my TY feed, smh.
oh man! he speaks so authentically deep from his heart.
This is amazing. I never thought that the way I talk to people can lead to magnifying their insecurities. Never thought like that!!!!!
give Robert a glass of water!!
