- Today we’re going to talk about masking autism!
Masking autism for me is when I’m basically pretending to be a normal person. Not that I’m ashamed of being autistic or anything, but the reality is that I’m not a normal person and as a socially awkward adult I try to hide my autism symptoms or else people think I’m weird or crazy. And I can’t have that (haha).

I know this is an older video but you remind me why I like people with autism so much. My god you are genuine. So the thing is - I had learning difficulties growing up, dyslexic, dyspraxia, speaking issues. Eventually I overcame all of these things. However in school I basically was always grouped with the other weird kids, like myself lol. I am technically a 'normie' in this context but I found it easier with the weird kids.
Let me tell you. I wouldnt care about you talking to yourself or the hand thing lol. I tell you why .. Normies are FAKE as fuck. 99.9% of people are fake. Fake fake fake.
I have to get on with my life as a normie in a sense now but I love weird people. Its a breath of fresh air to hang out with. Can have real conversations. Only a very few select other 'normies' can manage this. I pretty much know that I could have a genuine conversation with you. One my best friends has aspergers. Its so much easier to have conversations with them even if they are weird to others lol. He is very high functioning and asks me questions about how he comes across. I try give advice etc but mostly its only because he is asking. I dont give a fuck. Even if I do - I tell him bluntly something isnt to my liking if he isnt being a good host. However he nearly always is so its all good.
Im so autist that when i say something weird about my passions the normies just dont even understand and think im smarter than them and that i am a such a deep thinker lmao
Respectfully schizophrenics don't have multiple personalities. That is an entirely different mental illness. I have schizophrenia and I only have 1 personality.
