I’ve gained a lot of mmr recently by just telling my whole team what to do via voice comms. I just realized I usually know better than most at my rank so when I’m strong (I play mid) I kinda just take over the decision making.
Yeah this is fun gameplay when the team moves a common goal. I miss playing like this. Win/lose at least you know there was a chance.

Hi! Anyone can explain? every time I created new account in dota2, why I always get (Ancient to Divine) rank, even I'm not playing it well. is that a minimum rank now or its just based on player skills?
Pretty Standard/Common Takes on the topic. Can't rly agree cause obviously climbing is not that simple. Learning a new Trick or improving certain skills doesnt do anything for you If the Team simply doesnt Play to win. Unless you reach a Skill Level that can outperform pretty much everyone in your bracket... In that Case dota became a Single Player Game and you truly can carry yourself a couple hundreds (or even more) MMR upwards.
guide for brewmaster or lycan or beastmaster please, in general a micro hero that makes their own space in the offlane, so also a guide for broodmother can be made despite being a mechanically easy hero, the strategy is what matters.
For brewmaster, watch Monekysforever. For lycan, tortedelini has a video demystifying the hero showing just how easy he is to play (in lower ranks)

I was support stuck in 1500 mmr.
Started to pick sniper and om i as pos 4.
In low MMR lategame is win and everyone plays glass cannon. Glass canon VS glass cannon is ez if one team gets global omni ulti from omni with aghanims.
If omni was banned i took a scaling hero like sniper to ensure we had lategame win. Within 1 year of taking mmr seriously i rose to about 5.5k
Was on an 8 game win streak and my teammates suddenly became Spanish speakers or almost literally AI bot players. I won 2 of the three so my streak was ruined but bro I’m not kidding it placed me with people in my “rank” who are 10x worse than other players in my rank 😊

Started back in 2013. Never got more than 5k. Nowni took a 4 year break (university + full time job and all i could think of was watching 70min ember replay to see how i lost).

Im stuck in crusader 5 and simply can't get out of it, I managed to climb from herald 3 just spamming AA and Warlock but now idk what else to do, it seems that i've been getting matched with some terrible teammates lately
you should start playing carry now. AM carried my rank from crusader to legend but in legend just playing AM doesn't work anymore.

Its hard to get out of herald/guardian if Your team can't play. Making 30-40kills and pushing towers alone but still losing its so annoying
in low ranks people never group up when they are losing. They go jungle and try to outfarm all the time, its so annoying...
dude, I completely understand wht are you saying and it makes sence. But have you played on guardian rank or something? I am playing dota for more then 12 years and I am get stacked on guardian. As you said, mates around you doing random action in teamfights or even during whole match.. So it is truly impossible to win game cause it is team play, as you said too. Of course, I had matches which I screwed it up, but still.. Rank system in dota in lower ranks as heralds (of course) or guardians maybe crusaders is not equaled...

Offlane is just as important, if not more important than carry tbh. Plenty of games I've carried mid + carry to victory by delaying the game, giving them enough time to farm and then we win
Im 1.2k mmr and cant climb above the trench even with 2500h of game. I go carry with 20/1 and my supports feed. I go support and my carry doesnt farm or feeds. I go mid and I get counter picked... I dont understand what to do.
Then ur still not good enough, good carry player will carry solo most games in jr bracket

the less you play dota the more you win in real life
11min ai voice vid? no thx. without watching the vid here are some tips from an 8k
play consistently, so everyday but don't play more than 6 games for example, especially if you lose
obviously don't play when you're tried/sick/in a bad mood in general, you should really want to play and enjoy dota win or lose
watch your own or pro replays before/after you play, really think about whats happening, especially when you do play, don't autopilot, always look at the map since thats all the info you need about the game (not including everyones level/item timings)
spam 3 meta heroes and 2 comfort heroes in your main role and support role
there is no forced 50% winrate, never argue with your team, lead your team or mute them and finally blame yourself not your team
No forced 50% win rate but can you explain why after a winstreak, u just get paired with literally, toxic and throwing teammates (u know it) for the next 3-5 games ? and how to break that incoming losestreak? should u play unrank or turbo to reset your next teammate on rank ? 4.5k mmr, 9k-10k behavior score here
What if i have mcd wifi and keep disconnecting from the game? My wifi is either godly good, or keep disconnecting

I kinda disagree, on this meta of teamfights its actually the position 3 the one that can win you MMR.
Even the pros know this.
The biggest plays in TI generally come from position 3 heroes.
Position 3 wont carry the game, but they can win the teamfight. CEEEEB.

i think the only way to climb mmr is play with your friend full party cuz most of the time ,randoms public player are so noob and useless af. Like the video said, dota now is team game which mean the best team is the player you know and can communicate well.
PS sometime, the public random will be super good but 9 out of 10, you will get the donkey teammates :(

Wraith King is one of the worst offlaner heroes and shouldn't be picked in that position. As for soft support. Hoodwink is the best one. And dark willow with aghanim and eul is really powerful and brings victory.
I wish to be lower in MMR to crush almost every game haha but lately I've been climbing ranks without even taking it that much in consideration... The reality is, I had more fun games when I was in Archon / Legend than now.

I fell to crusader and the games are so 50-50 even though the lanes are doing well. Archon and legend, was fun since everyone plays within strategy like most time. Crusader is so hard to get out of since there are a lot of bot games. Need to wait for hard carrying metas. The nerf to BKB to magic resist was so tough on getting better chance of winning solo even with mistakes/throw moves.
Oh I tried playing a classic game with guardian and it was absolutely chaos. Every single game seems to head to late game. The mid game (15-25 mins is mostly everyone playing afk farming no matter the hero)
The lower you get your mmr, more ignorant your teammates will be. Don't wish that 😂
Carries are boring. I really enjoy supporting but it’s impossible to win.
And not to forget the supports I’ll get if I’m playing carry will be horrible. They are never half as useful or active in lanes as I am.
I play this game since 2010 so I know they game very well but still I can't solo with 5vs1 like good old days. To day I play a game on rank my carry go afk enemy team kill us and we lost the game no one of my team blame the carry or said something bad to him he was just brain dead idioy. Only PA can carry 5vs1 if you know how to farm 25 minutes bkb, bf, pt, desso I end up 2 games in row with 60 kills in total for 2 games with 5 deaths.
