Thank you for your question! The truth of the matter is that the biology of sex and gender is really quite complex, and far difficult to put in a small video like this. Okay, so, most of the times, you are either male or female, because those are sexes, not genders. @@IO-gm5qw Yes, everyone has a gender identity. You have just never had to think about yours because it correlates with the sex you were assigned with at birth.
It's how one perceives themselves internally. Someone may be born in a typically male or female body (or even intersex for that matter), but they don't feel like they're strictly a man or a woman, they may even feel like both. Only an individual can determine their gender identity, nobody else can prescribe it, not even a medical professional.
That’s difficult cause it depends on how personal these pronouns are and if they just feel right but one thing anyone questioning needs to know is if you want a label but can’t find one that fits go with queer that’s basically literally saying I am somewhere on the spectrum I don’t know where but I’m somewhere
There are only two genders. XX and XY. Whether you admit or not, you’re one of these two genders and you’re born with it. People wanna hear that they are the gender they desire to be, but it’s not. Stop escaping the reality.
Enlightenment is never really easy, I think this is just growing pains and people will figure things out and find a middle ground where men and women can accept that they are both simply human but can express themselves with either masculine or feminine behaviours without having to mimic the mannerisms of a woman or man. Why should I have to remove my penis just to express feminine sexuality or behaviours? Why should a woman feel the need to shave off perfectly nice long hair in order to be seen as or feel more masculine? It's all nonsense really but necessary. It's like our species is transitioning and it doesn't feel too awesome...

@V S The definitions are ridiculously broad and unless you are some kind of whackjob denier of there being masculinity or femininity I am sure you are aware of them. Actually, pretty sure you are aware of them in either case. But a gross short version that does not do the terms true justice could be this ; Masculinity = Risk Taking, Non-Compliance, Urge to Protect, Urge to Procreate, Urge to Sectorise, Urge to Dominate Physically, Urge to move about, Handles Change well. Femininity = Risk Aversion, Cooperation & Teamwork, Urge to Impress, Urge to understand deeply, Handles repetition well, Urge to stay put, Urge to dominate Socially, Urge to unify. Basicly, take left and right brain and voila. Masculinity and Femininity can be found all over nature even beyond living creatures.
No no, you're misunderstanding it. Gender isn't about the feminine or masculine things you do, wear, or look like, gender is more of an internal feeling, and thinking of it as a spectrum with boy on one side and girl on the other should help. But still, like the video said. 2:19 It’s ok to not understand. Hell, it’s ok to not agree. But it’s not ok to not respect. Agree with it or not, these people prefer these pronouns. If they don’t wanna be around you because you don’t do so, that’s their choice

There are two biological sexes if you don't include hermaphrodite. Gender refers to the masculine or feminine traits of a person or thing. It's possible to be a masculine female or a feminine male, the gender part, although informed by biology, is also informed by a variety of environmental factors like culture or diet for example. Most of the issue comes from incorrect use of language. It's incorrect to say that there are only two genders because gender is a term for behavioural expression, not biology. Before you say something like "miss" or "sir".Its okay to assume someone's gender but it's not okay to use the wrong pronouns once you know the ones they prefer.
Hey, I'm still a little confused and you sound like a person to help explain. What is the difference between male gender and female gender and other genders?
@@robertclement1107 Okay, so, just so you know, male and female aren't genders, they are sexes, that being what you were born as and what parts you have. Being a girl means that you align with the gender that people with vaginas normally have and being a boy means that you align with the gender that people with penises usually have. Now, think of gender as a spectrum, with boy on one side and girl on the other. People with other genders are in the middle. There are also people who move to different parts of said spectrum at different times, people who are in multiple places on it at once (bigender or trigender), and people like me, who are completely off of the spectrum and just don't have a feeling of gender. There's a lot of variations, and you don't have to know all of them, but you should respect them.

I nowadays would rather identify more femininely these days but I use they/them as pronouns oftentimes.

Hey. I'm going across gender videos and asking a question. I mostly feel like agender/non binary but rarely feel like a girl or boy. I don't feel bigender or any other genders. I don't think I'm strictly gender fluid or agender/non binary. What do you think?
@Alice This is the absolutely best advice here. I wish every adult would say this to every child and stop the gender identity madness. It's an absolute waste of people's lives.

@@Lovix13 what about people who don't feel dysphoria? Do they have a gender?
@@IO-gm5qw Yes, everyone has a gender identity. You have just never had to think about yours because it correlates with the sex you were assigned with at birth.
It's how one perceives themselves internally. Someone may be born in a typically male or female body (or even intersex for that matter), but they don't feel like they're strictly a man or a woman, they may even feel like both. Only an individual can determine their gender identity, nobody else can prescribe it, not even a medical professional.
So, I feel comfortable with my gender and I go by all pronouns is that a gender identity or am I still cisgender?
Not necessarily a gender since it's just pronounz :]
That’s difficult cause it depends on how personal these pronouns are and if they just feel right but one thing anyone questioning needs to know is if you want a label but can’t find one that fits go with queer that’s basically literally saying I am somewhere on the spectrum I don’t know where but I’m somewhere

So this is presented as an 'expanded consciousness' of an enlightened generation.
Did anyone let Mother Nature know about these gender identities maybe she can make some adjustments.
So what I understood from this video is this;
Literally everyone is either transgender or in denial. Because I know of and heard of 0% who don't hold both masculine and feminine traits to their individual persona.
Nobody is 100% masculine or feminine.
Thank you I don’t totally agree with you but mainly yeah
Yeah, but if you're 85% masculine, you're still cis.
@@Bloody-Butterfly Nobody, unless drugged with hormones, like jocks at the gym who use performance enhancing drugs that include hormones, is even 85% masculine or feminine.
Tis 70/30 at most from what I see and experience.
Also, no. because by that logic you can only be non-binary if you'd be an exact 50/50 or a 55/45 at most, no?
And even then, according to the logic presented it shouldn't even matter and should be about how a person feels.
Soooo, yeah...but no.
I do get the attempt and where you're coming from. So thank you for that.
@V S The definitions are ridiculously broad and unless you are some kind of whackjob denier of there being masculinity or femininity I am sure you are aware of them. Actually, pretty sure you are aware of them in either case.
But a gross short version that does not do the terms true justice could be this ;
Masculinity = Risk Taking, Non-Compliance, Urge to Protect, Urge to Procreate, Urge to Sectorise, Urge to Dominate Physically, Urge to move about, Handles Change well.
Transgender people are on the opposite side of the spectrum as their assigned sex at birth is, some people are in the middle or leaning more to one side, some people can be at two places on it at once, some people move fluidly around it, and some people are completely off of it and don't have a gender at all, like me.

@@CherrySewieno, they’re not.
While it is of course important to treat everyone with respect, I don’t think you should be teaching children that “gender exists on a broad spectrum”. There are two genders and I have yet to see any proof of there being more than that.
There are only two sexes. A female is a typically feminine human and a male is typically a masculine human although it's possible for either to be more or less masculine or feminine than the other. Does that even make sense, I think I've confused myself now!!??
