I can listen to jesse talking for freaking hours even though i haven't even heard of most of these books. There's just smth so entertaining and interesting about the way u talk about books, it just makes me torn between watching the vid and going to read a book. I just love your whole existense man.
I loved The Darkest Part of the Forest so much! Really solidified my love for Holly Black. I love how you used the word "uncomfortable" to describe the feeling when you were reading it. I felt the same way! I'm glad somebody else did!
City of Ghosts sounds interesting, I might check it out as I've been meaning to read more Schwab. I'm also curious to know what the Fae are like in The Darkest Part of the Forest now!
I have been seeing A Very Large Expanse of Sea EVERYWHERE! I have heard a lot of great things about it but I just don’t know if it is my style, you know? It is also by one of my fave authors, Tahereh Mafi, so I will probably enjoy it at least for that aspect. Thanks for this vid, Jesse! These types of vids are always so helpful!❤️👍
_The Darkest Part of the Forest_ !!! That's just one goblinZipCode over from me! (I live in _The damp cave by the dried up swamp_ ). Wow. It's like having a book written about your hometown.
I LOOOVED the darkest part of the forest. And even though I loved it as a stand alone I would have looooved if there was another (or a few) more books.
Hi Jesse!! I just wanted to say that I am so proud of how far you've come ✨ I've followed you since the very beginning pretty much and I've seen you grow into who you're meant to be little by little, video by video, and you have become such an amazing human being; hilarious and energetic and authentic and I'm just so happy for you!! Hope you have a good Christmas and New Year!!
I have literally gotten so far into reading than I would've if it weren't for you Jesse, you have no idea I exist, but you have made books a huge part of my life
i also LOVED city of ghosts. this year i’ve become a super fan of victoria lol. i’ve read 4 of her books and plan to catch up with all of her work next year! great video, jesse!
Hey, Jesse. If you're up for a longer series, I would recommend the sword of truth series by Terry Goodkind. It's high fantasy, really epic and with an awesome arc that spans over all the books. I'm sure you'll love it, although it gets a bit dark at times...
I'm entering this video hoping you read Queen of Air and Darkness. Because you still haven't talked about it! Love this series though and I'm very happy to know you'll be continuing it!
@@jessethereader omg you answered. So will we be getting reviews for both those books? I love your reviews of Cassie's books, or any other author for that matter, but I REALLY love Cassandra Clare!
I also read The Darkest Part Of The Forest and I really enjoyed it, the atmosphere is great, like magical and creepy and the characters are so intriguing. At the start of the year I read The Cruel Prince which I loved so I'm super excited to read The Wicked King in January!
the book I've finished most recently is Kingdom of Ash and just... wow. I honestly don't know what to say other than wow. reading anything since finishing KoA has been difficult. also, loved the video! gained a few TBR books, so thank you for that
hey jesse! early merry christmas. i really want to read a very large expanse of sea.i have recently finished the shatter me series whole. and i have become obsessed with it. but now i am more obsessed with the mistborn trilogy. i have finished the final empire and now reading the well of ascension. sooo dang good. ooooh i have also read shadow and bone 😍😍😍
I'm already 24 years old, and just now that I got interested in reading. Your channel will help me find some interesting books to read, thank you a lot! For now I've only read A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, The Martian by Andy Weir, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and Neuromancer by William Gibson (The Martian being my favorite by far). Keep up the great work! :)
Have you read Kingdom of Ash yet? And a Queen of Air and Darkness review please! But you have to read Ghosts of the Shadow Market before reading QOAAD, for Maximum Feels! 🧡😭

I really need to read An absolute remarkable thing!! I LOVED A VERY LARGE EXPANSE OF SEA. I don't really like Holly Black's writing. I read the Cruel prince but didn't like it. I need to read something by Schwab because I see her books everywhere lol And I am currently reading The Surface Breaks by Louise O'Neill and it's really good, you should check it out. :)

Nice book selection! I read The City of Ghosts back in October and loved it so much!! Friends of mine had just been to Edinburgh and after that book its definitely bumped up on my travel list. So atmospheric and creepy!
I'm currently reading A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab and I am absolutely loving it!!! The plot and characters are incredible and I can't wait to finish it
Hi Jesse, if you're looking for a relistic take on social media and fandoms (both the good and bad sides of it) then I'd reccomend Radio Silence by Alice Oseman. It's about this girl Francine who'se entire life is centered around going to a good collage and nothing else, expect for her one guilty pleasure: Universe City, a sci-fi podcast made by an anonymos creator. It has a very diverse cast of likable characters, features an epic bromance between a boy and a girl(and it's never evolves into a romance, too!) and tackles themes such as school pressure, mental health, abuse (tw) and how fandom can influnce one's life. I gave it a solid 5 and higly recommend it!
I love watching videos like these!!! I just cleaned out my goodreads tbr I went from 400+ books to 221 books. 🤣 I need to be honest and say that An Absolutley Remarkable Thing by Hank Green, hasn't caught my attention... 😟 I have struggled getting into the si-fy element. A Very Large Expanse of Sea, sounds amazing! Though I will tell you it will break my heart! 😭 The Darkest Part of the Forest sounds like snow white (the glass coffin in the middle of the Forest) hahahaha I have to be honest and say Sarah was the first place my mind went to when he said"Fae" I totally need to pick this up!!! 💙💙 I've had city of ghosts on my tbr since I first heard about it! I need to read this 😭 I will for sure be reading it next year in the beginning of the year!
A book I read recently is Restart by Gordan Korman. It's about a boy named Chase Ambrose who falls off of his roof and gets amnesia. When he goes back to school some people are terrified of him, and others treat him like a god. He needs to find out why. I loved this book. It is by far my favorite stand alone book as of now. Would recommend.
I haven't read any of the books mentioned, however I did finally get to read Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda and now I'm so sad that I finished it in one day. Seriously, I felt like I could stay in the story forever, definitely going to pick up the sequel
Congrats on hitting the 300k subscribers 🎉🎉 I’m not sure if it’s been a while and I’mthe last person to notice or not but better late than never right 😁 you deserve the best jesse may you hit 1M soon
Have you read "The Girl I Used to Be" by April Henry? I read it a while back and found it sort of interesting. Though I think the killer might be obvious if you pay attention to the characters closely.
