Do you find it difficult to get on and off your motorcycle?
I’m 6’ and a tall bike and that’s how I get on. Either side😊
Back when I was used to smaller bikes, my buddy had me ride his street glide.. he warned me to get on using your method because if my boot scuffed his bags or seat, he would kick my ass!!🤣
🤣🤣🤣
I get it, I'm 6'3" I forget that sometimes, but I love your video! 👍
Thanks for the info!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
It looks like getting on the motorcycle from the other side doesn’t put as much weight on the kick stand… im going to try that way bcs these knees ain’t as young as they use to be… lol have an awesome thanksgiving my brother…
You're very welcome! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Excellent content! Can you do a video on getting the bike on and off the side stand?
Sorry I meant center stand
Yes. I'll make one for the center stand. It's easy once you have the technique down.
Thanks for this info. Have you a tips for getting the bike on the centerstand when its fully loaded with panniers and bags on the pillion seat. Its not hard if you are not so heavy loaded but when you add a lot of weight sometimes i find it difficult to get the bike up on the centerstand without dropping it
Keep your body close to the motorcycle. Think about pushing down with your foot as you pull up and back with your hands. I can make a video on what works for me.
@@mototipz thanks yes please do a video about it 😃🙏
Great video Sir! Its always a little challenge when we have all the luggage on our big bikes, i always try to park mine on the center stand when loaded, that way i feel safer for my motorcycle not to tip over, and makes getting on so much easier and stable. When i don't have the side cases, i use the same technique as you do here, its always a matter of how old i feel that day i guess hahaha! Have a good one!
Nice! The center stand can definitely be useful. Although, some people struggle even more with getting a heavy loaded motorcycle up on the center stand.
@@mototipz Yup, i totally agree! ;-)
This is something I’m working on. Making the transition from a big bagger to an adventure bike. Feels so weird.
Definitely a different feeling if you're coming from a bagger. You'll likely find the adventure bike is much more capable.
Wow, you guys are giving this way too much thought & effort. We have all kicked someone in the crotch or have least thought about it. 😂 Stand facing the bike from the side, pretend the top of the seat is someone's crotch and kick, your leg will go right over the top of the seat and you're on. Just try it!
That works on some motorcycles but a little more difficult on a tall motorcycle when you're vertically challenged 😜
There is absolutely nothing revolutionary about this ‘technique’. Standing on the pegs is the only way to mount your bike if you elect to keep the centre stand down. I must have missed the point.
I never claimed this was a revolutionary new technique. There are many new riders who the basics may help. Additionally, some people avoid this technique because they've been told it puts too much stress on the kickstand.
