What's your best tip on how to avoid getting pulled over by police?
The safest bet for avoiding getting pulled over by cops is:
A) Leave the communist/high tax regions
B) Still obey the local laws
Similar to what you said, if you want to play harder, don't do it in town, congested areas or residential neighborhoods.
I was advised to just throw it in gear and rip the throttle off until I didn't see any more flashing lights. The less protection you have on, the better your aerodynamics thus- a faster getaway. 😌
🤣
I mean, you only live once, right?

So do the drivers, pedestrians and hundreds old trees around you. Won't somebody me think of the children?!

Good tips! Just shared it :)
Thanks @MotoJitsu
Never been pulled over, but coming home from my girlfriends late one night and cop car pulled a U-turn and followed me. Just put aftermarket led strips on the back as taillights for added visibility and looked cool. He followed me for probably 20 minutes and I turned off, went up the road a bit farther and there was a vehicle gaining on me, pull up to a stop light and it's a another cop SUV. Keep going and he follows me till I turn off. Never pulled me over but both were scanning my plate and I guess waiting for me to let it go, but it was only a stock 300. I just road correctly and followed the rules and never bothered me. But it was the most stressful 45 minutes of riding in my life, especially for a relativity new rider at the time.
This why i hate cops and i make them eat my dust no matter what car I'm in
Reminded me I had to renew my bike reg. Did it while I was watching this.
Haha... Glad I could help 😜
Awesome videos! Thank you 🙏
That’s why I love my Goldwing everything you said is something I do…obey the law plate it good no modifications… just cruise and enjoy the ride…
I haven't been stopped by police on my motorcycle, but I strongly dislike being tailgated by the police. I guess they have to get close to read the plates, but it feels more like they want a chase, or to just give a good scare. I've been tempted to let the bike go and jump on the car. I'm legal, ride legal,on a legal registration&newish motorcycle.
High viz gear. Say the light turns green and the front wheel lifts. Expensive ticket for a reckless rider. Or was it just a clutch mistake from a beginner rider? You get away with more stuff if you look like a safety freak, and as an added benefit, you'll also have fewer cars pull in front of you.
I agree the safer you look, the more you may be able to get away with.
"Cool wwhhhip and wwhhheelees !"
Loud exhaust and off road lights on my GS. Only time a cop looked my way so far it's a moto cop waving at me.
Basically just waiting for a ticket on my DRZ though 🙃 I'm too old to be riding around like an @$$ hole everywhere so hopefully I'm good.
I know the feeling. I'm like Jekyll and Hyde on my GS vs the Supermoto.
Don't flip off the cops
Illegal turn signal 🤣
@@mototipz 🤣🤣
A question I've heard elsewhere and never defined...the answer is probably jurisdictional.
Standing on the pegs vs sitting on the seat as going thru town.
It's usually to add comfort if traveling....but any thoughts from a pro...???
I'm not aware of anywhere in the US that standing on the pegs is illegal.
All good advice. Lastly, when you do get stopped to be awarded your velocity achievement certificate, be polite and own the choices that led to the moment. The officer is just doing the best they can to maintain order in an increasingly chaotic world.
I haven't been able to confirm whether the "turn signal use exemption" only applies to BMW car drivers or if BMW motorcycles are also exempt. Any advice on this?🤪 - F650 Dakar rider
Only BMW and Mercedes cars 🤣🤣🤣
@@mototipz Darn, might as well get a Yamaha then
I got a ticket for not signaling when changing lanes. True, I didn’t signal, but false that I changed lanes. I never left my lane. I was swerving and moving in my lane to make space away from a car which was not fully in the left hand turn lane (strange position of vehicle when there was no median). I don’t think these officers realize I have full use of my lane (I never left it, and the city won’t release to me dash cam footage to prove otherwise). Court is in May ‘23
Try to subpoena the dashcam video through the court. Read through the vehicle code before court too.
Yes I swear out of the way of potholes and things cars seem to forget that just because you're on one side of your lane doesn't mean that they can pass you they forget that do you have the whole Lane
So all the Harley’s owner get a ticket for having their exhaust loud?
Hey, do you think in your next video you can tell us how to properly use hair conditioner?
Hmmm....let's see....
Obey the law? Don't speed? Am I missing anything?
Thanks mom!
Tip #1 : Tell them your name is Greg.
🤣
Rolls through the stop sign, 😂
bTW what bike is that? I like the mirrors in the brush guards.

If you got pulled over for whatever reason would the first thing you say is I am a former Motor Officer? Or do you guys have a special secret signal or code word? 😎
There's a secret handshake 🤣 Just be polite and don't lie!
Talkin about speeding while doing 50 in a 35....
License plate holders that obscure any part of the plate can now be a legal reason to be stopped.
-at least in Pennsylvania
Most states already have this in the vehicle code. Although motorcyclists usually just hide the plate in the fender.
WTF...
Drop a gear. ...Disappear
I don't think it's worth turning a ticket into a felony... 😝
Always heard to run from the cops, but wise guy once told me, just pull over, 99% of the time they will let you off just because you stopped, unless ofcourse you were doing something extremely stupid.
All common sense advice. I've ridden with a few local moto officers in the BikeSafe NC program and for the most part they said "don't be riding like an ass and be in control and we will probably not look twice".
I only risk getting stopped if I DECIDE to stop….
No cop will EVER catch me. Period.
I can speed away, or out maneuver…. I can spin a cop into absolute oblivion and wish he never even saw me in the first place.
It’s the cops that need to learn the lessons here.
All the need to do is scan the plate, then they show up at your house and impound the bike... Cop technology has gotten to advanced to run anymore.
@@keltonwright7 But who actually puts a license plate on their bike?
