I’m totally with you guys about the “jump in jump out” factor with games. One of the reasons I personally consider Mega Man X my favorite SNES game is because I can just pop in the cartridge and blaze through the game in less than an hour. It’s a quick and easy experience I can do time and time again. There’s definitely something to be said about that.
Yes. I am so tired of trudging through what feel like pop up ads in my newer games. "Double XP Weekend!" "Get the Season Pass!" "Give us Your Money for Skins!" "Update available, download?" I just wanna play the damn game
These are all, for the most part, jump in and play titles - which makes sense if they're games you're just going to pop in to your Gamecube regularly. An awesome list for the gamer with not a lot of time to spare too! Great vid as always gents :)
Cheers! And agreed, I find myself doing the same thing and wanting to just play some quick games. I’ve been playing SSX Tricky and my Packers franchise in Madden 2005.
Great choices, many of them would are on my list. F-Zero GX is my favorite game on the console. Beach Spikers is a new addiction that you guys steered me towards. I am an arcade kid of the late 1980's through the mid 1990's, so pickup and play experiences have always been number one for me. No tug of war here.
There's always gamecube goodness! It's crazy how it has blown up in the past couple of years. Speaking of blowing up, one of my go to games on the gamecube is star wars rouge leader! No doubt, one of the best games in the star wars franchise in my opinion!
Gaming interest have definitely changed the past few years. I’m with you guys on appreciating pick up and play games. My son was born last year so I don’t nearly have the gaming time I used to and when I do have time I’m lucky if I have enough energy to play lol. Last year I ended up buying a sega saturn and happened to be really drawn into the perfect arcade ports on the system and especially the capcom fighters. Fighting games was a genre I wouldn’t even consider playing in the past, except for smash bros. But it’s pretty magical causally playing those games with an arcade stick on a CRT with component cables. Anyway, great video and I’m looking forward to to the next episodes covering other systems. Cheers!
Mario Strikers is a hell of a fun game. It's reminiscent of NHL 94, or NBA Jam. Even if you don't like sports games, it's a lot of fun. And the most underrated part is the AI. The AI is so well done. I avoided it for so long because of my disdain of soccer, but I'm glad that I finally checked it out.
Yeah theres alot of Arcade sports games where the Sim version we definitely wouldnt play! But the Sim versions are amazing and produce some of our best memories!
Great video. Strikers is pretty expensive. I’d mention Sega Soccer Slam. A lot of fun. And every player has special abilities. Same as Strikers just a lot of fun. It 3 on 3 soccer. Found a loose copy recently for $15.
10 gamecube i still playing in 2022 (not in numbered order) 1. Pokemon colosseum 2. Puyo pop fever 3. Super mario strikers 4. Super smash bros melee 5. Mario kart double dash 6. The legend of zelda four swords adventure 7. Warioware inc mega party games 8. Mario party 4 9. Sonic heroes 10. Bloody roar primal fury
I like these older games that I can jump right into. I miss when games were free from skill trees, progression wheels, perks, crafting systems and overwhelming UI's. There's just so much going on in a lot of today's games that they exhaust me and aren't all that fun. Less is more, as they say.
Yes for sure! And they make all games take a long time to beat also! Need more games like contra super mario bros etc where you fire it up beat it quick and get your fix! Cheers!
Love the shirt Wes! They Live is my favorite John Carpenter movie. I agree with you two about pick up and play! One of my go to for Gamecube is Wave Race Blue Storm but I'm a massive fan of the Wave Race series lol.
The resident evil games are the games I still play on the gamecube whenever I want to play the classics (aka the best in the series). Also glad to see timesplitters here this series is definitely underrated.
Good video ! I game like you guys. Pick up and play, in and out. No time for adventure/RPGs etc….need to pick up NHL Hitz already😂 you’ve conditioned me to the point I have to own it.
DUDES! I grew up in a beach community playing volleyball but never thought to play volleyball video games. I bought both beach spikers and kings of the beach because of this channel. Only reason I am disappointed is because I have been missing out on these my whole life. Thank you
A little late to the party here, but Pikmin! I just started playing it with my son. I don't drink anymore, but it strikes me as a perfect hangover game. Not too demanding mentally, great fun to just watch the little buggers working away... It's perfect for me in a different way now as we play early on a Saturday morning before my wife wakes up. Great series guys, love it. Can't wait to hear your Wii, PS1+3, Saturn suggestions! You guys always get me thinking of games I would miss...
Love the Jump in Jump out games, sometimes that's all you need in your life as a gamer. Nothing again the big story driven RPG's and such, but if for some reason you're playing it and than have to step away for a bit (life takes over sometimes) you feel so lost when you come back. Wish I had the knowledge when I was younger that I do now, a good chunk of these I remember playing as a kid but either sold them or lost them in moving over the years - so out of all of these games you talk about I only have Luigi's Mansion (which I found at a yard sale a couple of months ago for 25 cents at yard sale) and Mario Sunshine. The HITZ series is amazing, so much fun. Such great choices in this video, can't argue with any of these honestly. Nice variety of games and just on a fun level, 10/10 for sure. Always such a fantastic watch from you guys, keep on killing it with the great content. Cheers boys. #Roadto21k
Yeah if we knew what we know now as kids we would be golden! I had to go back and start recollecting alot in my adult years. Lots that i regret selling! Cheers!
Totally hear you on the "pick up and play" aspect, especially gaming as an adult. It's why I love the NES. Play for 20 minutes, power it off, power it back on a couple days later and keep chipping away. Btw, guess who developed F-Zero GX...wait for it...SEGA! Also, it was the only game on the GC library that was widescreen 720p at 60fps. Sega had to step in to push the console to its limits 😎Serious Sam is a great series, too! Good picks!
Great vid! There are a few on this list I've never heard of. Seeing that volleyball game on the list made me laugh, but I bet it's fun! One of my favorite games on NES is Super Spike Vball
Great list. I’m mixing it up as far as gaming. I’m trying mix in a lot of shorter experiences and fewer JRPG. For longer RPGs I no longer do all of the side quests due to time.
Great video guys! Just replayed Pikmin 2 and I’m currently replaying Wind Waker, Mario Baseball and Wave Race: Blue Storm. To answer the question, I feel like my “open mindedness” towards games has changed. I used to disregard a lot of JRPG’s and 2d platformers, now those are some of my favourite genres.
Every time my buddy stops by my place we always play a couple games of Mario Baseball like back in the college days, such a fun quick game to pick up and finding new "cheats" on how to get better, glad you enjoy it!
Great video guys, but the best part ... Wes' They Live t-shirt! Love that movie. Our local theater chain shows classics on Tuesdays for $5 during the summer, and we got to see They Live on the big screen a few weeks back.
Mario 64 was revolutionary at the time as a kid that’s why it gets praise. It’s less about how it plays today and more about how it changed your entire view of gaming back when you were young. It’s still a solid game for that platform.
Hey there fellas. Great video once again. I’m currently playing true crime. Streets of LA. For sports i pick up NBA courtside. Another good one is simpsons road rage if im not playing doubledash. Notable mentions: sonic gems, Warioware, viewtiful joe red hot rumble and EA sports freestyle!!
Been playing soul caliber 2 on th GC last week and I'm so impressed with the game physics! My friend lent me eternal darkness to play through so going to give that a blast this week. Keep the videos up guys! Oh I got my GameCube and games, in box for £40 last year after watching your videos. Legends
Missed this when it was fresh but I still play GameCube all the time but on a modded Wii and Wii U with an adapter for controllers. I still have three solid working wavebirds and doing the older Mario party’s and other co-op gems makes these systems damn near timeless. Even a lot of older folks it’s easy pick up and play games on all those Nintendo systems.great gateway drug for newbie gamers.
Metal Gear Twin Snakes was such a blast! My local GameStop did a midnight release for it (pretty much was the beginning of midnight openings) and I snuck out the house on a school night to ride with my cousin for a preorder copy. Metal Gear 1 is still one of my favorite’s to go back to on PS1. Hideo Kojima is my hero F-Zero was also a blast with me and my friends as well! Had this classic arcade vibe, and it was a big investment of time on the weekends. Luigi mansion and super Mario sunshine, resident evil zero, resident evil remake, resident evil 4, animal crossing were some other favs Wish I would have kept my GameCube and the collection of games. You guys did great with another nostalgic dose of gaming history.
My gaming has definitely changed since having a family. I just don’t have time to get into games the way I used to. Unless it’s a game I can play with my kids I really don’t even play all that much anymore. I still want to play Red Dead Redemption 2 because I loved the first one, but who knows when I’ll be able to actually sit down and play it. For now I’m enjoying playing Mario Kart, Mario Party, Beat Saber and those type of games with my kids.
Great to see Beach Spikers here 😃🏐🔥. An absolute GC gem that aged pretty well and is major addictive. Bought an Odin Pro this summer to re-visit some retro consoles. And for the Gamecube i already „finished“ Beach Spikers, 007 Nightfire, Burnout 2 (!!), NBA Street 2, REmake, Viewtiful Joe and Beyond Good & Evil. I really like the straightforwardness of these titles. A good sign, as i feel less and less motivated by modern games to finish them at all…
Nice list, guys. I was expecting to see Metroid Prime here. People will forget we have TWO such fantastic games on GameCube! And I'm still playing the first one and its sequel (Echoes) from time to time.
The travesty in gaming now is that couch co-op games are basically non existent. My favorite GameCube games are paper Mario, sonic adventure 1&2, Mario party 7, 007 nightfire and sonic mega collection! My gaming taste has been changing more towards action/adventure. As a kid I played a lot of fighting games but now I am more likely to play a wide open world game than a new fighting game
Yeah modern Games are geared toward Online Multiplayer. Its very frustrating because Couch Co op produces the best memories. Definitely understand the change in games you play. Ours is every evolving
my fiancee and i don't have a lot of gamecube games, but what we're currently cycling through on our gamecube list are : x-men dimension, tony hawk's underground 1 & 2, tony hawk's pro skater 3, tales of symphonia, star fox adventures, pokemon gale of darkeness, need for speed most wanted, nba street vol 1 & 2, metroid prime, metroid prime echoes , legend of zelda the wind waker & twilight princess, all 3 harvest moon games, fire emblem path of radiance and gladius (not a great game but for some reason it just draws me in)
Nice video. Im playing through a lot of dreamcast and gamecube games at the moment on my steam deck. Yeah, def getting to the point where an hour of pick up and play is lot more fun than facing cyberpunk on my pc or horizion forbidden west on my ps5. Training, work, kids, wife etc..... I miss being a teenager
We feel you man! It was nice to be a kid and at worst you work part time! We both work full time and this channel takes as many or more hours than a full time job! Both great systems with lots of bangers! Cheers!
Awesome list guys : I agree with serious sam it had its fair share of followers but it's still very underrated For my top three I'd have to go with the Golden three : Wind waker, twilight princess and Sunshine
@@GamingOffTheGrid I remember when I bought it when it came out; my roommates were upset I wouldn't buy a 'real' sports game lol; tunred out to be our favourite GC game after 1 play hahaha
Really enjoyed this episode and I think it’s a great idea for a series. I’ve been playing a lot of GameCube lately and you showed some bangers. I’m the same about getting in and getting out of games now. Cheers!
I play Mario Strikers (or Mario Smash Football as it's called here in Europe) all the time. I love that game. I also do a yearly playthrough of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.
Melee Pikmin 2 Tony hawk underground SSX tricky Star fox assault Go go hypergrind 007 night fire Mario party 6 Alien hominid Kirby air ride Billy Hatcher
I'm watching you from Greece 2 years now.Hello, Hello.Maybe you've done it but I would like a list of your favourite nd64 games.A lot of Nintendo eh? Sorry but I'm a fan..
I'm with you on Mario sunshine. Also, playing toadstool tour. I feel like I'm changing too with having no time for the loger games I used and still love.
@@GamingOffTheGrid no doubt - it’s a major fear of commitment. I have a hard time committing to watching a full movie nowadays! It’s like adult onset A.D.D.!
10. Mario Strikers is a game that I still need to play. 9. F-Zero GX is a game I used to own, but I barely played it. Now it's fairly expensive. 5 years ago it was a $10 to $20 game...Not anymore... :( 8. Beach Spikers Volleyball is a game I know nothing about. 7. Luigi's Mansion - I finally sat down and played it a few years ago...I got pretty deep into the game and then stopped playing for some reason... 6. NHL Hitz - Never played the series, but it looks like fun arcade hockey action. 5. Viewtiful Joe - I owned the game at one time, played it for about ten minutes and then never played it again. Not because it wasn't good or that I didn't like it. It seemed like a fun action game. I honestly don't remember why I didn't give the game the attention it deserved. 4. MGS: Twin Snakes - I have owned this game on 3 or 4 different occasions and I have never played more than 10 to 15 minutes at any given time. Again, 5 years ago this game was consistently a $20 game...yeah, not anymore... :( 3. Mario Sunshine - @8:45 "I hate Mario 64" - Robert the Big Stupid Jerk - Robert's beard is stealing all the nutrients from his brain, so it's not really his fault, per se. That said, Mario Sunshine is, in fact, fun on a bun. 2. Time Splitters: Future Perfect - I've played the XBox version, and if you liked Goldeneye on the N64 then you'll feel right at home with the controls. Fun game. 1. Serious Sam - I have never played a Serious Sam game. It looks fun on the GC.
Good series idea with your different consoles. Would be cool if you featured more specific moments in the games that stand out to you. Regarding tastes changing: I play a lot of games 10-30 min hoping they’ll draw me in, otherwise I put them down to try again another time. Currently, this method has me on Far Cry 6. I was trying to get into Watchdogs 2 and Cyberpunk, but I found them tedious. Last game I got really into was Mirror’s Edge. Slooowly cranking out BOTW and Sonic Colors when I travel. When I was younger, I’d sit with a game 6-8 hours before trying a new one.
Star wars rogue squadron games have been my go to lately on the gamecube. But my kids fell in love with "the grid" by midway (galloping ghost has 4 or 5 machines linked up) and the closest 4 player I can find is unreal tournament for ps2. That has been getting the most spin time in my basement lately.
ive recently picked up wind waker for $55, mario baseball for $35 and mario party 7 for $40 and i enjoy all of them a lot. im still trying to find 4 swords adventures for a decent price but no luck yet.
Some people really like Mario Sunshine. When it came out, I was all about it… However, you can tell the game is missing the typical Nintendo polish. It’s basically Mario Odyssey with it’s copy/paste mission structure 15 years before everyone thought the was the pinnacle of Mario design. Do really like the vacation theming and some of the missions are amazing.
Gaming taste for me has evolved to the point of having so much that it just nice to pick up and play a quicker game as opposed to a bigger RPG - although I still love them as well. Sometimes being an adult is a double edged sword - In which you have the money to pick up the things you always wanted as a kid, but not the time to enjoy them like when you were younger. Currently playing through Borderlands 3 on Xbox One, love the series and is one of them as long as you remember what is going on, which is not that hard, great jump in and out shooter imo. Looking forward to the next console in this sure to be fan favorite series
Yeah because we are so busy its hard to find time for RPGS! We have noticed a trend with people saying when theu get older they tend to lean toward pick up and play games! Maybe its a thing as we age! Cheers!
I agree on the pickup and play. I have a lot of those AAA playstation games waiting to be played along with Breath of the Wild but I have been playing the hell out of PacMan Championship edition. 4 minute rounds or so, play a few, go make dinner. No commitment but a lot of fun.
Great video! Long live the Gamecube! But you guys should try Def Jam Fight For NY if you guys love wrestling/fighting games I still play that today! Take care guys.
I hate to admit it but my taste has changed a bit from 8/16 bit to later generation consoles. My childhood was the 2600 & NES SNES Genesis and I’ll always be nostalgic for it but I’ve really been into Wii PS2 Xbox lately even a little Dreamcast
Twin snakes hands down my favorite GameCube game. One of best MGS games I think goes under radar in series, it was a perfect remake imo. GameCube has so many good games and I loved the graphics compared to ps2 and Xbox for alot of games.
I think UA-cam unsubbed me. I thought something was off, i hadn't seen a vid from you guys in a while. Weird, i feel like this happens too often. Anyway, resubbed... also, love and own most of these GC games. Great vid!
If anyone wants to know my Top 10 Gamecube games.... 10) Viewtiful Joe (just genuinely fun gameplay the whole way through) 9) Star Wars Rogue Squadron II (one of the very best Star Wars games ever made) 8) Super Monkey Ball (endless replay value with this one, and that's not even getting into the minigames) 7) Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (one of the very best Mario games and very fun too) 6) Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (very underrated, especially with the artstyle) 5) F-Zero GX (greatest racing game in my book) 4) Metroid Prime (that game is just sooooo good) 3) Baten Kaitos (best JRPG on the Gamecube, period) 2) Resident Evil 4 (the very best Resident Evil game in my book, especially for the campy ultraviolence and storyline) 1) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (just simply the best and most underrated Gamecube game, ever)
My favorites on the GC got to be pokemon xd Coliseum and Paper Mario.there stupid expensive now but probably my top 3..great new mini series..keep kicking ass guys
Love yalls videos! Looking forward to this series. Hope yall do an OG Xbox episode like this. I just started collecting for that console cuz of yall and im at about 180 games in just a few months and tons of gems, its so affordable! I wish gamecube was haha. Anyway have a good one guys!
I think this is going to be a fun series! For my G.C. still play games are Metroid Prime & Rogue Squadron 1 and 2. I feel you guys where im also at that age and stage where I seem to be prioritizing quick or easier to remember games over long RPG and MMO's. Can new games have an accessibility option called "older millennial mode" where it gives you a quick overview of what you were working and what the control scheme is!? Love the channel and Cheers!
F-Zero GX and Metroid Prime are #1 one I am glad that I bought a second copy of F-Zero GX. My other favorites are Battalion Wars, 1080 Avalanche and Viewtiful Joe that I still have. Out of all the GC games I had I miss having Metal Gear Solid Twin Snake and also Skies of Arcadia the most. Others I wish to get back are Star Wars games (all of them), Soul Caliber 2 and Mario Striker. In the case of Strikers and as well as Mario Party 4 the disc were just ruin some how (they were in their box) I fear that it can happed again with my remaining GC games.
Ya know, sadly I’ve never played Battalion Wars. I’ve heard great things though. Definitely need to check it out. As far as the rest of the games you bring us here, great picks. Cheers 🍻!
Always relate to you guys being a 1986 baby. My tastes have changed so much these days. So much so that I stopped playing Breath of the Wild (Zelda my favourite franchise) halfway thru and jumped into level-based platformers. Tropical Freeze, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Celeste, Splasher, Kaze and the Wild Masks etc… I never enjoyed these style of games back in 1996-2006. These games have got me back into playing the SNES games I missed out on (n64 was first console) like DKC trilogy, Mario All-Stars. Currently playing Super Mario World. As for GameCube? F-Zero GX I played quite a bit in 2020 before I got my Switch. We don’t need a new F-Zero. If Nintendo just remastered this game with 30-player online GP and Death Races I’d die a happy Falcon. Other GameCube games if time was no issue would be the games in my collection I never did beat…Pikmin and Viewtiful Joe. Also, I’d purchase StarFox Adventures (had the arse with Rare back in the day for jumping ship) and Luigi Mansion too. And you know what? I’d love to finally get all gold medals in Rogue Leader!
Like others in the comments, I’m glad as hell to see TimeSplitters in this list! 2 and Future Perfect got released on Xbox last year and I’ve been having a blast reliving the good times in that sweet UHD and 60 frames
Missouri Game Convention eh? Never knew there was such a thing, though I'm in a suburb of Kansas City. Nice group of games to check out, with some I definitely haven't played before. I've been enjoying GCN games on my Wii U with Nintendont, and it works brilliantly! Emulating stuff might be better for some people and for some games, with the ability to render at a higher resolution and such, but I really prefer using the Wii U. I know I won't have any weird issues with games (random crashing, messed up sound, graphics, etc.), and honestly it still looks great even on the TV, but DAMN does it look nice on the Wii U gamepad. It's like it was meant to be, but Nintendo just had to Nintendo themselves and force the community to figure out a way to do it. I do wish I could figure out how to use a different controller when I'm using the TV, but the Wii U gamepad does work well enough. I do want to say too that you guys are getting really good at all the post production stuff. I'm really enjoying the different graphics and editing choices you guys are making, I appreciate all the work you're putting into it to make things all pretty and shiny for us!
Didn't appreciate the GameCube as much as I should've (I was like 15 when it came out so I was heavy into PS2/Dreamcast) but I have grown to appreciate the hell out of it over the last few years. Resident Evil 4 on GameCube was another one of those "holy sh1t" moments for me that showcased how great the graphics were pushed to the limits on the console. I play my GC games on my backwards compatible Wii these days just for convenience.
@@GamingOffTheGrid I don't think people realize how badly the GC was perceived by teenagers (the major gamers of that era) at the time because it was marketed as a console for kids, instead of a badass powerful console like the Xbox and PS2.
Beach Spikers is my second favorite game on this list (to Metal Gear Twin Snakes) and I agree it's a major hidden gem that probably won't remain at twenty bucks for long. It's a hard one to find by Sega / AM2
I’m surprised you Guys Did not included “Resident Evil 4” and “Mario kart double dash”.When I had my “PS2”I tryed diffrent RPG’s like “Suikoden”/“Kingdom Hearts”.But I was Mostly impressed with “Final fantasy X” even my mother who has nothing with videogames want to watch when I played it.I love how RPG’s look, the music, confrontations, story and building up your character.Sadly I can’t finish them even with a walkthrough guide those games are to hard for me.I even was impressed playing A Zelda game for the first time (Zelda twilight princes” on Wii)to much puzzles and there getting to complicated for me.A game trilogy that I come back to from time to time that I really love on PS2 is “Sly Raccoon”.If you never played it you missed out on a lot of fun.You can also play the trilogy on PS3.
I’m totally with you guys about the “jump in jump out” factor with games. One of the reasons I personally consider Mega Man X my favorite SNES game is because I can just pop in the cartridge and blaze through the game in less than an hour. SSX Tricky is a fun game havent played it in awhile. Madden 2005 is arguably one of the best Madden games ever with a Fire Soundtrack!
Here are 5 that I always go back to: Alien Hominid, Mario Kart Double Dash, SSX3, sonic mega collection and Mario tennis
Love that list of games! Cheers!

Great series guys, love it. Can't wait to hear your Wii, PS1+3, Saturn suggestions! You guys always get me thinking of games I would miss...
Pikmin is a great game! We cant wait to do all those consoles! Cheers!
So many great recommendations. I appreciate all the get in and get out games. I enjoy playing Digimon Rumble Arena 2, Billy Hatcher, and Sonic Heroes.
3 Awesome games there! Cheers!
Good picks!
Nice little knowledge nugg there for sure! SEGA!!!!!
Great vid! There are a few on this list I've never heard of. Seeing that volleyball game on the list made me laugh, but I bet it's fun! One of my favorite games on NES is Super Spike Vball
Thanks Bro! Super Spike is an amazing game!
Great list. I’m mixing it up as far as gaming. I’m trying mix in a lot of shorter experiences and fewer JRPG. For longer RPGs I no longer do all of the side quests due to time.
I hear you on that! RPGS can really suck the time away from you! Cheers!
100% man! Gaming taste can change! Cheers!
Thats a very fun game!
Great video guys, but the best part ... Wes' They Live t-shirt! Love that movie. Our local theater chain shows classics on Tuesdays for $5 during the summer, and we got to see They Live on the big screen a few weeks back.
One of my favorite shirts!
What it Do! Can't wait for the Saturn ep. & Switch to see how much MK8 is mentioned and to see some Saturn love finally on the GotG.
Stay tuned!
NHL hits for the GC is awesome and I love playing it for the short time it takes to play the game.
We Love it. 2 Time Stanley Cup Champs with our boy Godfrey
Mario 64 was revolutionary at the time as a kid that’s why it gets praise. It’s less about how it plays today and more about how it changed your entire view of gaming back when you were young. It’s still a solid game for that platform.
Fair points! Everyone has different taste! Cheers!
Few games to check on here! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Been playing soul caliber 2 on th GC last week and I'm so impressed with the game physics! My friend lent me eternal darkness to play through so going to give that a blast this week. Keep the videos up guys!
Oh I got my GameCube and games, in box for £40 last year after watching your videos. Legends
Soul Caliber 2 is a great game! Thats a good package deal! Cheers!
It is for sure! Mario party games are great party games no pun intended! Cheers!
Cool list guys. Always enjoy GameCube videos
Its one of the Greatest systems of all time in our opinion!
Hideo Kojima is my hero
F-Zero was also a blast with me and my friends as well! Had this classic arcade vibe, and it was a big investment of time on the weekends.
Luigi mansion and super Mario sunshine, resident evil zero, resident evil remake, resident evil 4, animal crossing were some other favs
Wish I would have kept my GameCube and the collection of games.
You guys did great with another nostalgic dose of gaming history.
We love nostalgia! Gamecube is an amazing console! Cheers!
Awesome mini series!!! Next console should be the jaguar lol cheers guys
LOL!! The video would be 5 seconds cause we would say we play NOTHING
I totally get it man! We have to evolve to our situaton! Those are some good games to enjoy though! Cheers
Ultimate muscle. 👍👍it’s a must play for the GC
We will check it out!
A good sign, as i feel less and less motivated by modern games to finish them at all…
Great list of games here! Beach Spikers is so fun Co-op! Cheers!
Nice list, guys. I was expecting to see Metroid Prime here. People will forget we have TWO such fantastic games on GameCube! And I'm still playing the first one and its sequel (Echoes) from time to time.
Echoes is a great game also! We definitely love the Metroid Series!
Mario Superstar Baseball and LoZ Four Swords are my favorite multiplayer games.
Ours is every evolving
my fiancee and i don't have a lot of gamecube games, but what we're currently cycling through on our gamecube list are : x-men dimension, tony hawk's underground 1 & 2, tony hawk's pro skater 3, tales of symphonia, star fox adventures, pokemon gale of darkeness, need for speed most wanted, nba street vol 1 & 2, metroid prime, metroid prime echoes , legend of zelda the wind waker & twilight princess, all 3 harvest moon games, fire emblem path of radiance and gladius (not a great game but for some reason it just draws me in)
Great list of games! We would say thats a strong collection! Not all collections have to be big! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid thank you :)
yw
Cheers!
Awesome list guys : I agree with serious sam it had its fair share of followers but it's still very underrated
For my top three I'd have to go with the Golden three :
Wind waker, twilight princess and Sunshine
Three absolute Bangers! We just dont have time for twilight princess or wind waker
Gauntlet (Midway Arcade ...), Gauntlet 2 (Midway Arcade ...), Gauntlet Legends, Pac-Man, & Miss Pac-Man, etc.
Nice list of games! All hammers! Cheers!
omg, Beach Spikers is one of my favorite GC games ever; my roommates and I made tournaments of this in college ALL THE TIME!!!!!! great choice!
Damn Man thats Sweet! Wish we could of participated in some of those Tournaments!
Cheers!
Thanks Bro! Gamecube is a Powerhouse Console!
I play Mario Strikers (or Mario Smash Football as it's called here in Europe) all the time.
I love that game. I also do a yearly playthrough of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.
Our all time favorite soccer/futbol game! Eternal Darkness is a hammer for sure! Cheers!
Dope video💪🏼💪🏼Y'all shud deff make a top 10 video for your best brawlers type games. 2022 is deff the rise of beatups games.
That could be a good series in the future!
Melee
Pikmin 2
Tony hawk underground
SSX tricky
Star fox assault
Go go hypergrind
007 night fire
Mario party 6
Alien hominid
Kirby air ride
Billy Hatcher
Thats definitely a list we can get down with Bro!
I'm watching you from Greece 2 years now.Hello, Hello.Maybe you've done it but I would like a list of your favourite nd64 games.A lot of Nintendo eh? Sorry but I'm a fan..
Wow from Greece! Thats awesome! We will do this list for other consoles Stay Tuned
I'm with you on Mario sunshine. Also, playing toadstool tour. I feel like I'm changing too with having no time for the loger games I used and still love.
Yeah its just so hard getting older for rpg style games to find the adequate time!
I’m 100% with you guys. I love some modern action adventure games, but I’m leaning towards pick up and play 9/10 times.
Getting older makes you lean Toward those games! When your busy its just hard to find the time to put tons of hours into 1 game
@@GamingOffTheGrid no doubt - it’s a major fear of commitment. I have a hard time committing to watching a full movie nowadays! It’s like adult onset A.D.D.!
When I can I play Double Dash, true crime L.A., pokemon colosseum, gale of darkness, viewtiful joe. Gamecube had so many.
Oh the library on the Gamecube is so huge! We still find new bangers in 2022! Cheers!
I still play the Mario Party games with the homies. We also love NHL hitz, the three player mode is so awesome.
Mario Party is a great Co op! It doesnt get much better than 3 person NHL Hitz!
Killer list, guys. All are awesome choices and there's a couple I want to check out. I love your enthusiasm for gaming. Rock on.
Thanks man! Appreciate the support! Cheers!
Future Perfect is a perfect feeling using the GameCube controller.I could say the same for Def Jam and SSXtricky+3.
For sure! We have Def Jam for the Xbox!
10. Mario Strikers is a game that I still need to play.
9. F-Zero GX is a game I used to own, but I barely played it. Now it's fairly expensive. 5 years ago it was a $10 to $20 game...Not anymore... :(
Great list man! Cant go wrong here! Cheers!
That is a cool idea! We will consider! Cheers!
Great game to devote alot of time too! Cheers!
ive recently picked up wind waker for $55, mario baseball for $35 and mario party 7 for $40 and i enjoy all of them a lot. im still trying to find 4 swords adventures for a decent price but no luck yet.
Great games! Mario baseball games are so underrated! Cheers!
Interesting take! We think its underrated because it doesnt get talked about much in the Mario Universe! Cheers!
Nice list! TimeSplitters 2, Mario Strikers and Smash Melee are the games I played most on the GC
3 staples of the Cube! Cheers!
Yeah we just dont have time for long games anymore! Cheers!
Great video! Long live the Gamecube! But you guys should try Def Jam Fight For NY if you guys love wrestling/fighting games I still play that today! Take care guys.
We have that game for Xbox! We love it. Its far cheaper on xbox than gamecube so we went that route!
MGS Twin Snakes is what a remake should be. Improves the gameplay in every way and changes the story so it’s it’s own thing.
Amazing game! My second favorite all time gaming franchise! Cheers!
Simpsons Hit and Run,Skies of Arcadia,Resident Evil 2,Die Hard Vendetta ☺️
Great list man! All bangers! Cheers!
I still need to finish Eternal Darkness. 3rd and final playthrough... Actually, I'm at the final boss *ashamed*
I hate to admit it but my taste has changed a bit from 8/16 bit to later generation consoles. My childhood was the 2600 & NES SNES Genesis and I’ll always be nostalgic for it but I’ve really been into Wii PS2 Xbox lately even a little Dreamcast
We grow and evolve! We understand!
Twin snakes hands down my favorite GameCube game. One of best MGS games I think goes under radar in series, it was a perfect remake imo.
GameCube has so many good games and I loved the graphics compared to ps2 and Xbox for alot of games.
One of our favorites also! Cheers!
Soul Caliber 2 and Rogue Squadron. Always looking for a deal on F-Zero as it looks pretty slick!
Yes those games are 🔥! Cheers!
GC titles I like to take for a quick spin: Waver Race Blue Storm, Chaos Field and Simpsons Road Rage.
Three goodies right there! Gamecube is full of bangers! Cheers!
I think UA-cam unsubbed me. I thought something was off, i hadn't seen a vid from you guys in a while. Weird, i feel like this happens too often. Anyway, resubbed... also, love and own most of these GC games. Great vid!
UA-cam does funny things sometimes! Make sure you click the bell to get the notifications also! Glad your back man! Cheers!
If anyone wants to know my Top 10 Gamecube games....
10) Viewtiful Joe (just genuinely fun gameplay the whole way through)
9) Star Wars Rogue Squadron II (one of the very best Star Wars games ever made)
8) Super Monkey Ball (endless replay value with this one, and that's not even getting into the minigames)
7) Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (one of the very best Mario games and very fun too)
6) Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (very underrated, especially with the artstyle)
5) F-Zero GX (greatest racing game in my book)
4) Metroid Prime (that game is just sooooo good)
3) Baten Kaitos (best JRPG on the Gamecube, period)
2) Resident Evil 4 (the very best Resident Evil game in my book, especially for the campy ultraviolence and storyline)
1) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (just simply the best and most underrated Gamecube game, ever)
Thats a great list! So many bangers for the Cube!
F-Zero GX = Racing perfection!
Yeah its definitely one of the best racing games made! Cheers!
My favorites on the GC got to be pokemon xd Coliseum and Paper Mario.there stupid expensive now but probably my top 3..great new mini series..keep kicking ass guys
We love us some Paper Mario! Havent dove in recently but a mighty fine game.
Was happy u dropped twin snacks too..for sure best way to play it..I still want to play the..bleem cast version..have u played it???
Love yalls videos! Looking forward to this series. Hope yall do an OG Xbox episode like this. I just started collecting for that console cuz of yall and im at about 180 games in just a few months and tons of gems, its so affordable! I wish gamecube was haha.
Anyway have a good one guys!
We are planning to do most consoles! OG Xbox is definitely on that list.
Not that we are aware of! That would be a very useful tool for modern games
Mario Sunshine is a game that really surprised me, so much fun
It is a lot of fun! Very underrated in the Mario universe! Cheers!
Good list guys. I don’t think I have ever heard you mention puzzle games. Is that something you play ? Like say kururin squash on GameCube?
Robert is way into puzzle games. We’re both way into Dr Mario & Portal. Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid thanks for reply love watching you guys all the way from England. Looking forward too more of your top 10s 💪
Currently enjoying Kena on ps5. What a quality little game!
We need to check it out!
been playing my game cube alot recently still love my ps2 and xbox tho but 2021 was a gamecube Renaissance haha
Great system to do that with!
Tropical Freeze, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Celeste, Splasher, Kaze and the Wild Masks etc…
I never enjoyed these style of games back in 1996-2006.
So many bangers for the Gamecube! Cheers!
What an awesome video! I can’t wait for more in the series!
Thanks man! Cheers!
Like others in the comments, I’m glad as hell to see TimeSplitters in this list! 2 and Future Perfect got released on Xbox last year and I’ve been having a blast reliving the good times in that sweet UHD and 60 frames
One of our favorite gamecube games! Cheers!
Just beat Metroid prime for the 1st time. I've never had an erection the entire time I've played a game until now.
We can totally understand that!
Yeah the convention is in St Charles Missouri! You should come on down! Glad you enjoy our work! Cheers!
Same boat dude! If it wasn't for my little brother (4 years younger) it was a hard pass at the time. It was an angst and age thing.
@@GamingOffTheGrid I don't think people realize how badly the GC was perceived by teenagers (the major gamers of that era) at the time because it was marketed as a console for kids, instead of a badass powerful console like the Xbox and PS2.
100% i learned later on truly how great the Gamecube is!
F Xero GX, have you guys played Fast Racing Neo on the Wii U? Brilliant game
We have played it! Its a very good game also
Y'all should give Namco's Smashing Drive a try, for a good cheap banger for your buck
We will look into it!
hey wes you remember when you did a solo punch out on wii stream
Yes sir!
I always go back to 18 wheeler trucker game, CONVOY
We need to try that out!
yeah lets hope so 😀cause if you guys do go live im going to have my A&W root beer when i watch
Yum!
Beach Spikers is my second favorite game on this list (to Metal Gear Twin Snakes) and I agree it's a major hidden gem that probably won't remain at twenty bucks for long. It's a hard one to find by Sega / AM2
Very underrated! Good luck finding it on Sega! Cheers!
Watch you guys the most. You know what is really good.
Thanks! We really appreciate that! 🍻
Listening to you guys and playing resident evil three on the GameCube
Resident Evil Three is a badass game! Thanks for listening. Cheers!
I still play on GC Custom Robo, Luigi's Mansion, and F-zero, I don't play Nintendo much but when I do,.....I use a car payment to buy a game lol
Great games!
