This channel influenced me to get a new Wii U. It is more practical to own Virtual Console games than paying monthly NSO Subscription. I want to own Majora’s Mask forever. I don’t know if Nintendo will ever go back to the Virtual Console model.
i love how these guys dont hate on the wii u or say its a terrible console for having bad sales because it is a good console. even though it got poor sales doesnt mean it isnt a good console. you are my new favorite youtuber just for that.
I bought a Wii U today... just because of your video! :) Here in Germany the prices are still relatively fair. I paid €100 ($105) for a console + Breath of the wild + Mario Kart + Zelda Skyward Sword + an extra gamepad. I already had a console about a year ago, unfortunately I was stupid enough to sell it back then, even though I had a lot of fun with the games. But thanks to your great videos, I just had to pick it up again. :) I like your honest opinions and enthusiasm for retro videogames. Please keep up the good work, your channel deserves a lot more subscribers. Greetings from Germany! ;)
Happy 10th birthday Wii U🎂🎈. It's an amazing system. I recently took a 3 hours plane trip to the Caribbean and i played my Wii U while on the plane, if there is a 110V plug available you can play hundreds of different games, i had the console on the tray and the game pad on top of the console, it worked beautifully, highly recommended bring on a plane for longer flights. Enjoy, RobS
If it played DS game carts, that would have been sweet. Also, it should have played GameCube discs like the Wii did. Then you could have tons of your Nintendo libraries in one place.
If they made a DS/3DS add on like the Gameboy player for the GameCube, then the console would have sold alot more. We know the Wii U can play DS games because they sold them on the e store.
Would have never given the Wii U a thought if it wasnt for yalls videos. You guys actually showed how great the system was and what it could do and how it stood out from Wii better than Nintendo did. Its a shame cuz its a great system. I have a pretty healthy Wii U collection, most of the bangers (Except Game & Wario and Devils Third Physical, but i got them digital) and its thanks to yall so, your videos DO make a difference!
I’m definitely glad I picked the Wii U up when I did summer 2021 (even tho I practically paid original market price for it) I managed to get all the games I wanted both physically and digitally via eshop thanks to some the videos you guys put up regarding the virtual console stuff Now if only a DS player existed like you guys said it would’ve been LIT and if they ever did manage to allow us to forward our purchases to a future console that’d be lit too but I doubt it sadly still gonna protect my Wii U with my dear life 😂😂 great vids as always!
Bought my Wii U about a year before it was discontinued primarily to transfer my Wii VC to Wii U for it’s HDMI capability. Crazy thing is I was waiting for Wii U to go “on sale” but It never did, even after Wii U was discontinued it still commanded full retail prices. A few years ago I bought an officially factory refurbished 32GB Wii U from Nintendo’s online store and I also still have a new 32GB bundled Wii U I bought years ago. Not sure what I’ll do with either of them but they’re packed up for now. Many missed opportunities but still enjoy my Wii U to this day
Bought a CIB Wii U a few years back for next to nothing. You nailed it with the range of the pad. If it could have been played around the house or at least within the home wifi connection it would have been much better. Thanks for keeping the love of the Wii U alive!
I have been playing a lot of wind waker HD on the Wii u and my son and I still play alot of the library and Wii games from the backwards compatibility. Never was my favorite console but always found enjoyment when we took it off the shelf.
I picked a Wii U up when it was being discontinued For less than $200 CAD. Amazing console tbh. I have a massive collection of Wii U and mostly Wii games. It's far too underrated Imo
Man, I love the Wii U. Sure, it didn't sell well, the tablet range is limited, and the load times are long, but the quality of the games library is solid and probably the strongest lineup of games on any console. Thanks for this 10-year tribute, guys. I'm glad to see you love the Wii U, too.
I discovered you guys through the Wii U videos (and subscribed), i'm always looking for Wii U videos (as i said in my first comment on this channel) and finally made a very good one of my own to celebrate the anniversary, and i'm glad to see so many celebrating that. I forgot to celebrate every other console, but not the Wii U, a system that its still my main gaming place and what motivated me to collect, all good things. Also, i agree about the Gamepad thing, that scares me a ton, i do take care of it, but i'm looking for another Gamepad. Its interesting really, because you can bypass the Gamepad in many games, even the ones that ask for it, like Mario Maker, you send the signal of the Gamepad, the game lets you in and then just use a Wii Mote, i imagine that there could be a hack to enable the entrance to games without a gamepad. The only thing that seems "unpatchable" is the Settings menu, since you can only change those on the Gamepad, someone would need to modify the bios in order to access those, or just keep the settings to your liking and never touch them again. Now with the Gamepad out of the way, the other issue is the flash memory on the system, and idk what to do about that except backup the system on to an SD.
We are glad you enjoy our Wii U videos! We thoroughly enjoy the Wii U also and believe its severely underrated! Yeah im sure there is a way to hack pass the gamepad but we are unsure how! Good luck! Cheers!
Love my Wii U. I've only had it for 3 years and it keeps giving. Was very blessed to have a friend that sold it to me for practically nothing, cib, zelda version. Yalls videos keep me hyped for it, so for the thousandth time, thanks for what yall do.
Great episode!! I love my Wii U still play it all the time. I got lucky and bought mine right before the prices went up. I paid $80 for my CIB Wii U Super Mario Wii U bundle.
I love the WiiU, first Nintendo home console I owned since the super Nintendo. And coupled with the 3ds made me fall in love with Nintendo all over again
I had never thought to add 3DS and DS compatibility to the Wii U but that would have been brilliant. It would obviously have increased the production price but I'm fairly certain it would have driven up the sales of the Wii U and of Wii U and 3DS games and made Nintendo much more money. My only guess for why they didn't do it is because they were worried it would have hurt 3DS sales but I think it would have been well worth the risk. At a minimum a connection cable between the 3DS and Wii U that would let you play DS games on a TV would have been great too. Also I think Nintendo made a huge mistake in not letting you connect your Switch to the dock with a cable so you could have an optional Wii U style second screen in Switch games.
Great video on the Wii U again guys! Still have connected the Wii U next to the PS4 and Switch. Recently played Yoshi's Woolly World, underrated game by the way. And just bought s new copy of Devil's Third for €20 in Holland.
The Wii U is going to be like the Sega Saturn, and TG16. The availability is going to go down and the Price will go up. Great Video Guys. You are on the money here.
I loved the wii u so much. From trading in games while in college to get it, to paying retail price for pro controllers. Late game nights with Nintendoland, mario 3d world co op, to mario kart 8. This console was so amazing and I hate others didn't get to experience it.
I love and miss our Wii U. The Switch is awesome but I think our Wii U has gotten way more play. Also when you soft mod it? Man so good. I loved Splatoon. We had that Splatoon shell that was shown in the video here.
Loving the production values, guys! You guys are a foundry of knowledge and passion. Never did own a Wii U, but it sure had a lot of great games on it and I'm thankful that most of the ones I wanted have come out on Switch since. I am still hoping for Wind Waker!
One thing to remember with the Wii U is that Nintendo made some of their best first party games. Also on the market I think Wii U will pop one day simply because it has such a small library so people will want to get a full collection.
Picked up a very minty CIB Mario & Luigi Wii U along with a boxed pro controller, a few shovelware games and about 50 Infinity characters for $200 off marketplace a few months ago. I almost passed but then thought "when is the next time I'll see one CIB?", particularly in this condition. I agree, now is the time if you want to collect cheaply. They're not going to become any easier to get. According to the wiki page only 6.5 million units for the US market.
Your videos rock! Thanks for all the Wii U stuff, especially this past year - really helped give me some direction in what to pick up on the eshop before it closes. Too bad the Wii U wasn't advertised better with a different name when it came out - completely flew under the radar. Most people didn't know it was a new console. Even though Nintendo is done with it, I suspect the Wii U will live on with a niche but dedicated fanbase (3DS too). Pretty sure there's a team currently working on a Nintendo Network replacement that'll keep online gaming going for both the Wii U and 3DS and bring back the Miiverse.
Wiimote n Nunchuck fps control was always massively underrated to me, the Wii CoDs were amazing to play online if you got your control setup right and weren't bothered about how it looked, it didn't matter it played with accuracy like mouse and keyboard but from your couch and the intuitiveness and fun of just aiming and shooting, and the Wii U gave us 2 HD CoDs, and BlOps2 at launch was an awesome experience.
Great discussion on Wii U! I really wonder how different it could've been with different marketing. I remember towards the end of the Wii lifecycle there always being discussion of a "Wii HD." Crazy it's been 10 years!
Great video as always, cheers fellas. I just finished off my complete NA Wii U set, including most of the controller box and big box variants. So, no longer will your price hike videos give me anxiety to finish off my set ASAP lmao.... Take it easy mangs
I see the GameCube, Wii, and Wiiu are almost like a legacy. One of the benefits of Wiiu is that yeah, games came out as a dribble. But that meant I bought almost everything, even games I wasn't sure I would like. I was going to buy Smash, MK, Pikmin, etc. But would I have picked up Legend of Kay? Samurai Warriors Orochi? I don't know. But I did, and I'm glad I did. Not everything I bought really resonated with me, but a lot did. It's okay to try new things. Even my crappy Wiiu games are at least interesting on some level. Cheers guys!
If you take the Wii U ports out of the Switch library - it wouldn't be the same console.. It's a bit crazy that games like Zelda WW & TW HD, Xenoblade X and Starfox haven't come over.. For me the Wii U is also a fantastic retro modded console - with full gamecube over HDMI support, Mame arcade and 1-5th gen (apart from Saturn) - or via Virtual console.. This will be what carries it fwd in people's minds. It was also a banger for Indie games -playing games like Axiom Verge, shovel-knight, affordable space adventures etc. Love the Wii U and it deserves to be remembered and played.
I didn’t own a Wii U when first released. I own one now recently and this system it’s such a gem 💎. Loving it. Thanks for bringing us this video to us gamers. Great job.
So I’ve purchased 3 copies of COD Ghosts for my Wii U, all 3 look perfect - no scratches nothing. None of them work, every other game works fine in it.. anyone else having this issue? Two copies show the invalid game error with the question mark & one will pull up the title menu and freeze every time.. I even bought another console thinking my original one was broken but I’m having this problem on both consoles.
Never had one around launch or during its life cycle, but have bought two in the last year and a half, and absolutely love them. We all thought it was literally just a tablet for the Wii, and ignored it back then. What an incredible little system Nintendo fumbled the bag with LOL.
I have the entire Wii U North American physical collection and owe it to you guys. Y'alls channel got me curious and the rest is history. Excellent console. Excellent channel. Cheers boys.
Even though the range of the game pad is poor, the game pad did work in the spot on the next floor right above the console. I remember playing the system on the game pad on the main floor couch while the system was in the basement.
@@GamingOffTheGrid yeah I was right above the console lol. 5 feet either direction though I lost signal but the spot on the couch was perfect with no interruption.
Back when I worked for Best Buy at that time, most casuals didn't really understand what the Wii U was, often people assumed it was just the Wii but better. The Playstations & Xboxes were easier to explain to that parent buying for their kid, but even then some of the different models confused people. I agree in thinking that if Nintendo had named the Wii U anything else, it probably would have had stronger sales because the target market would understand the value proposition. I think Nintendo were banking on using the name recognition from Wii to pull people in, but they mostly just said "well I've already got a Wii, why do I need another one?" and it backfired.
I just wish the Wii U could've played Gamecube disks (it could've been the defenitive, EASY way to play both Gamecube and Wii games in 480p via an hdmi connection). That's my only complaint of the console...criminally underrated system. P.S. In 10 years, the Wii U will be the new Saturn...def finish your collecting of the console now.
I bought a second Wii U second hand for my daughter for just $30. The person who was selling sold the system with 7 first party Nintendo games but it didn’t have a charger for the game pad. I ordered a charger off Amazon for $18 so $48 all in for about $500 worth the stuff.
The Wii U is one of my favorite consoles ever, the first complete set I've ever collected, so many (yet so few great titles). And you know how I celebrated its birthday...the same way I celebrate my own birthday... By working
I talked my brother into getting my nephew and niece a Wii U, i just hope the online servers aren't getting shut down like what's happening to the Vita
Well, guys, I have two Wii U systems, and I will be buying a white version after the turn of the year. I really hope there is a big closing sale of the eshop in February. Great video, as always, guys
Wow, November 18, 2012. Already 10 years, today, since it released. I didn't really know about it until months leading up to Mario Kart 8's release in May 2014. I saw game previews of each track, characters, gameplay, beautiful graphics, etc and I knew right then I wanted to pick up this console. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed playing the Wii U. I didn't have all that many games, but I did enjoy what I got to play and having hardware and software backwards compatability. I did enjoy playing on the Gamepad (massive VMU) for the most part and miss having that as an option on the Switch. The thing I hated the most is that the Gamepad was required for the system to work and having to have a bypass to use a controller as player 1 over the Gamepad. Sometimes it could get frustrating. There was a lot of potential with the Wii U and it wasn't presented well with marketing and it may have been a bit to early to do what Nintendo was going for, which we have seen a lot of that carry over to the more successful Switch. I may hook mine up again sometime and play some games, whether Wii U or Wii. The discs are the game cases are beautiful too and the discs have those round edges which just feel right. Cheers 🍻
Great video fellas. I probably wouldn’t have bought a Wii U if it wasn’t for your enthusiastic videos about it. Tbh I haven’t played mine much yet, but I’m definitely gonna make time to this week. Been playing way too much Asphalt 9 legends on Xbox game pass. Actually made me think of you guys. Yous may be into it, it has a burnout ish quality, although it is a little glitchy. Also thought that a top 20 modern games you have been playing, or best of new ish PlayStation or Xbox game pass would make for interesting videos, even though it’s not retro related. Thanks
I love the Wii U. But I want to ask you guys I'm not going to be able to buy a lot of games on the Wii U because I don't have a lot of money before the shops close. Do I have to buy all the downloadable only Wii U games or can I get them another way
Still have my original WiiU from, maybe 8 or 9 years ago. I was totally not aware it was even out since I didnt follow the news on consoles back then. Nowadays I have softmodded it and play some Gamecube games on it as well as retroarch (pc engine cd etc)....dont care much for the Wiiu library of games myself, no one is online anymore on CoD black ops 2 I used to love and play fondly 6 years ago. My Ps3 I can still play CoD (ghosts) online with multiplayer
Totally agree fellas! Wii u holds up fantastic. So glad i held on to the collection. One year ago i got the mario maker edition cib for $75! The switch owes much success for the wii u. Way ahead of its time!
As someone who’s owned every Nintendo console from SNES to Switch except the Wii U, I never thought I’d own one myself until last month at a flea market after hearing the news about the closing of the shop channel. The marketing at the time of its release just didn’t hook me, because the commercials made it look like a toy full of family games and not enough on the idea of what groundbreaking gameplay ideas it could have accomplished. I love my switch, but it’s lacking in many other features the Wii U had
I love my Wii U. Easily top five fav consoles. I’m fully aware that some mistakes were made by Nintendo with the design, hardware, marketing, etc, but I love the tablet, I love the features of the console, I love its virtual console, and almost every game on it was an instant classic.
The couch co-op A-Semetric games blew me away at the time. Even today i think it was a pretty radical concept. I'll defend to the grave that the BEST way to play RE4 was on the Wii.
I remember when I got my Wii U playing off the controller 20 feet away from the console in my bedroom and thinking "why can't I just carry this anywhere?" The seeds for the Switch were planted it seems.
I love the wii u. It was the first console my wife and I bought together after we got married and started her down the road to collecting games with me. I also have to say that despite the somewhat limited range of the wii u tablet I've still logged a respectable amount of hours on my wii u from the toilet. My wife has heard a wide variety of expletive deleted phrases coming from the bathroom. Lol. As always great video guys.
I have to disagree strongly that the Wii U will never be as nostalgic as the GameCube. Yes the GameCube sold a little more but sales don't matter. People are just as nostalgic for the N64 and GameCube as they are for the Wii, although those systems sold 70-80 Million less. Wii U only sold a few million less than the GameCube and I think that it's going to have the same legacy as the GameCube. I mean the DreamCast sold less than the Wii U but is still just as nostalgic as the GameCube. I know a lot of older people will disagree, but trust me this is coming from someone who grew up during that era.
The Wii U is an interesting console. I got mine in 2013, and used it regularly for a few years. The Wara Wara Plaza with all of the Miis with Miiverse made the Wii U more than a console. It brought a sense of community, but with a lack of games, I eventually lost interest, probably around mid 2016. I still have it though. The Game Pad was also a good gimmick, but Nintendo needed more direction with it. Most games didn't really use it that well. Games like Mario Kart and Smash doesn't even require the Game Pad to properly play. The only game I found it most useful in was Wind Waker. With that aside, with what games Nintendo brought to the console, they absolutely nailed them with a couple of blunders, especially to Animal Crossing fans. For a while, it had Earthbound Beginnings as an exclusive. The Wii U was hands down a blueprint of what the Switch would become. Most of the features on the Switch were present on the Wii U already. Playing on the TV, playing on the Game Pad as a handheld, and even tabletop mode. You could play Wii games on the Game Pad. The camera area emulates a sensor bar, so there's no need for extra accessories other than the stand, which came with the deluxe bundle, which was basically most bundles, especially after the 2013 price cut. I could go on about the Wii U and how it was unique in not just the games, but I feel like I've already talked enough already. It's truly one of Nintendo's most unique systems to date, if not ever.
Could another reason the Wii U failed be because it felt more like an add on versus a new console to the general public? Much like the 32x or sega cd? As someone else mentiond in the comments maybe changing the name would of made the Wii U differentiate itself from "just another wii" to grandma jones going to grab her grandkid a christmas gift
Is it pertinent to link the Nintendo accounts ( wii u to switch ) in the case that your wii u shits the bed and need to contact nintendo to recover purchases for a replacement wii u. Thats assuming that you will be able to sign in and recover those purchases made because I bought all the bangers a while back in preparation.
WiiU needs a 3ds game attachment so you have access to the full DS and 3DS on the WiiU . Definitely agree with you guys on that because I'm not a mobile gamer neither but there's some good games on the handhelds.
@@GamingOffTheGrid definitely would've pushed a shit ton of units. Especially if they did a bundle to launch it. Get those DS and 3DS players who probably didn't have a WiiU with the ability to play the game on the TV. Especially if you could import and export the save data back to the WiiU. We need to take our ideas to someone who can turn them into reality. Could make some serious bank in a partnership with the right person who knows tech and how to adapt ideas into hardware.
Another game that you can create on Wiiu was “Mario vs Donkey Kong tipping stars”(also available on 3DS)I still love my Wiiu. The Final years of the “Wiiu” .I got frustrated with “Nintendo’s directs”announcing a lot of 3DS games and almost some to none Wiiu games. Not even multiplatform games😢
The WII-U got overlooked because some people thought it was a upgrade to the original WII and didn't buy it since the ps4 and xbox one were released and it had little to no support from third parties i went with the WII-U instead of the switch because the games that were ported over were cheaper then the switch versions and had minor upgrades like 1080P and DLC that was already on the WIi-U version of the games.
Thanks boys for another sweet video. Got a Wii U a year ago off your video and haven't looked back. The amount of shit you can do to this system is astounding but I do want to collect like a good boy too so I've now got about 30+ Wii U games and just the few that are heavy hitters almost makes up for the fact that I'm a filthy asshole buying cheap Wii U games off EBay makes me feel like a real boy. Cheers from Australia
This channel influenced me to get a new Wii U. It is more practical to own Virtual Console games than paying monthly NSO Subscription. I want to own Majora’s Mask forever. I don’t know if Nintendo will ever go back to the Virtual Console model.
Glad we lead you down that path! Yeah im unsure if they will ever go that route either! Cheers!
I love my Wii U and still haven’t picked up a Switch. Continuing on playing Wind in the Wilderness on this 10 year old console!
That would be a good reason to stick to the Wii U! Cheers!
i love how these guys dont hate on the wii u or say its a terrible console for having bad sales because it is a good console. even though it got poor sales doesnt mean it isnt a good console. you are my new favorite youtuber just for that.

Honestly surprised they didn’t do Wii U2 with an upgrade like that to save that generation
There is software mods that are pretty easy to do. Playing DS games and Gamecube games on Wii U with the gamepad is mint.
Would have never given the Wii U a thought if it wasnt for yalls videos. You guys actually showed how great the system was and what it could do and how it stood out from Wii better than Nintendo did. I was building up my collection then started watching you guys and I doubled my efforts cuz Wii U is amazing

They should’ve named the Wii U the “Super Wii” just like the Super Nintendo
That might of worked! Would of been better than Wii U for sure! Cheers!
That would have been smart, yeah...
I can't for the upcoming uSwitch
Missed opportunities.
Wowww amazing idea!!! Perfect call back to the super Nintendo and that sounds much better than WiiU!
Don’t forget, the Wii U pro controller is the best controller ever made by Nintendo, and probably the most comfortable controller in gaming history.
If it had analog triggers, I would be right there with you. That's the only flaw in those little gems.
Its definitely a hammer and up toward the top! Cheers!
That would be pretty awesome!
0:15 Nintendo Wii U came out in 2012 not 2013
Yes it did! Our bad! Cheers!

Thats a great deal! You bought at the best time! Cheers!
I love the WiiU, first Nintendo home console I owned since the super Nintendo. And coupled with the 3ds made me fall in love with Nintendo all over again
Thats awesome! It can definitely help pull people in like that with how great it is! Cheers!
Dude slow down, you're making too much sense lol
Some great takes here! They should of added some of these features! Cheers!
People thought the tablet was an add-on for the Wii as there was a TV ad that didn't show the console, Nintendo later showed an image of the console
Yeah the marketing was awful by Nintendo! Cheers!
Great video on the Wii U again guys! Still have connected the Wii U next to the PS4 and Switch. Recently played Yoshi's Woolly World, underrated game by the way. And just bought s new copy of Devil's Third for €20 in Holland.
Thats a great deal for Devils Third! Yoshis Woolly World is a solid game! Cheers!
Love y'all for doing this & all the Wii U work you did in the past! Cheers & Happy Birthday Wii U!!!
Thanks man! Cheers to you and the Wii U! Cheers!
The Wii U is going to be like the Sega Saturn, and TG16. The availability is going to go down and the Price will go up.
Great Video Guys. You are on the money here.
Oh for sure! The market will explode! Cheers!
I am in love with your splatoon gamepad shell. I’ve been eyeing one on ebay. The buttons and d-pad still easy to use?
Ours still works perfect! It does look slick! Cheers!
I loved the wii u so much. From trading in games while in college to get it, to paying retail price for pro controllers. Late game nights with Nintendoland, mario 3d world co op, to mario kart 8. This console was so amazing and I hate others didn't get to experience it.
For sure! If more people gave it a chance they would enjoy it like us! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid sent ya a Instagram message with a question
Will check it out!
I love and miss our Wii U. The Switch is awesome but I think our Wii U has gotten way more play. Also when you soft mod it? Man so good. I loved Splatoon. We had that Splatoon shell that was shown in the video here.
It definitely has more to play in our opinions! That shell is sexy! Cheers!
Loving the production values, guys! You guys are a foundry of knowledge and passion.
Never did own a Wii U, but it sure had a lot of great games on it and I'm thankful that most of the ones I wanted have come out on Switch since. I am still hoping for Wind Waker!
The library is really good and its so underrated! Cheers!
One thing to remember with the Wii U is that Nintendo made some of their best first party games. Also on the market I think Wii U will pop one day simply because it has such a small library so people will want to get a full collection.
So many great first party titles on the Wii U! The whole library is underrated! Cheers!
Yeah the collect ability will be hard the longer people wait on the Wii U! Cheers!
Glad you enjoy our videos! Yeah the marketing was really bad for the Wii U! Cheers!
I believe it's called the Pretendo network. Cause Miiverse was just awesome.
Yeah, thats right! Pretendo haha. Definitely looking forward to that and having a functional, unofficial Miiverse again!
Always looking forward to these videos.
Glad you look forward to videos man! Cheers!
Yes it did! Having those all at launch you think it would of helped it do better! Cheers!
Great discussion on Wii U! I really wonder how different it could've been with different marketing. I remember towards the end of the Wii lifecycle there always being discussion of a "Wii HD." Crazy it's been 10 years!
Yeah better marketing and this could of taken off! Cheers!
The guys are back it’s Wii U Time 10 Years Of Greatness For The Wii U
Heck yeah man! Such a hammer console! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid enjoy the week my guys
Thanks man!
Great video as always, cheers fellas. I just finished off my complete NA Wii U set, including most of the controller box and big box variants. So, no longer will your price hike videos give me anxiety to finish off my set ASAP lmao.... Take it easy mangs
That is so awesome man! You are sitting pretty! Cheers!
Glad Wes found a spot for that clean nes advantage!
For sure brotha! Cheers!
It is so wierd for me to hear you guys say Gezellig, which is Dutch for Cozy.
As always loved your video.
Yeah we learned about that a little while ago! Cheers!
They made alot of games bery enjoyable and had lots of depth! Cheers!
100% agree with everything you said. Axiom Verge is a very underrated game! We love Shovel Knight also! Cheers!
I didn’t own a Wii U when first released. I own one now recently and this system it’s such a gem 💎. Loving it.
Thanks for bringing us this video to us gamers. Great job.
Glad you got a Wii U and enjoying it! Completely underrated console that more people need to give a try! Cheers!
Not sure! Thats a head scratcher! Hope you figure it out! Cheers!
Never had one around launch or during its life cycle, but have bought two in the last year and a half, and absolutely love them. We all thought it was literally just a tablet for the Wii, and ignored it back then. What an incredible little system Nintendo fumbled the bag with LOL.
Yeah Nintendo failed on marketing the Wii U! Glad you are enjoying it now! Cheers!
I have the entire Wii U North American physical collection and owe it to you guys. Y'alls channel got me curious and the rest is history. Excellent console. Excellent channel. Cheers boys.
Thats amazing man! Thats not easy to do! Congrats! Cheers!
Even though the range of the game pad is poor, the game pad did work in the spot on the next floor right above the console. I remember playing the system on the game pad on the main floor couch while the system was in the basement.
Wow never tested it in that way! Might have to experiment! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid yeah I was right above the console lol. 5 feet either direction though I lost signal but the spot on the couch was perfect with no interruption.
Yeah it can be a big pain!
Yeah the marketing was absolutely awful by Nintendo! They could of done alot of things better! Cheers!
Yeah it would of been awesome if it played Gamecube games! Yeah its prices will go through the roof so i agree with that! Cheers!
Wes, you have a future in voice over acting! :) Another great video, thanks boys!
Ive heard that before! I dont think im that great at it! Thanks though! Cheers!
I bought a second Wii U second hand for my daughter for just $30. The person who was selling sold the system with 7 first party Nintendo games but it didn’t have a charger for the game pad. I ordered a charger off Amazon for $18 so $48 all in for about $500 worth the stuff.
Thats a great deal man! Not easy to find that for the Wii U! Cheers!
The Wii U is one of my favorite consoles ever, the first complete set I've ever collected, so many (yet so few great titles). And you know how I celebrated its birthday...the same way I celebrate my own birthday...
By working
Lol same here! Always work my birthdays! Cheers!
Another Wii U and I'm buzzing to see. Cheers Gents again 😀
Glad you enjoy man! Cheers!
Still have my WiiU hooked up downstairs and play it often. Best way to play Batman Arkham City and Splinter Cell Blacklist!
Good stuff as always guys!
100% agree! Those two games on the Wii U are amazing! Cheers!
I talked my brother into getting my nephew and niece a Wii U, i just hope the online servers aren't getting shut down like what's happening to the Vita
They will eventually down the line but unsure of when! Cheers!
Great video guys. I am still playing Sin and Punishment from time to time. Cheers, Ciento, Salud.
We are also! Such a great game! Cheers!
Really enjoy your Wii U videos. Hoping they continue past March 2023.
Im sure we will come up with ideas past March 2023! Cheers!
I have a Wii U and me and my kids play on it all the time. It’s a great console. Great video guys
Thats awesome you get to make those memories with the kiddos! Cheers!
Well, guys, I have two Wii U systems, and I will be buying a white version after the turn of the year. I really hope there is a big closing sale of the eshop in February. Great video, as always, guys
They probably will have a sale toward the end! That's awesome your collecting all those Wii Us! Very smart! Cheers!
I still have the Wii U today it didn’t broke and play it regular , How you guys edited this awesome video ? What tool
We use Adobe Premier Pro! Cheers!

Cheers 🍻
Yeah the Wii U had so much potential if marketed right! Hope you do hook them up! You will have a good time! Cheers!
Thanks
You never know we might do something like that! Hope you enjoy your Wii U! Cheers!
Can anyone recommend good 3rd party Wii U Remotes with the nunchuck and Wii U Pro Controllers available today?
We dont but wish you luck in finding them! Cheers!
I love the Wii U. But I want to ask you guys I'm not going to be able to buy a lot of games on the Wii U because I don't have a lot of money before the shops close. Do I have to buy all the downloadable only Wii U games or can I get them another way
If they are download only you will only be able to get them from the shop! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid well that stinks there's no way I'm going to be able to buy all those games
@@Dashiell777I think modding is a good choice
Still have my original WiiU from, maybe 8 or 9 years ago. I was totally not aware it was even out since I didnt follow the news on consoles back then. Nowadays I have softmodded it and play some Gamecube games on it as well as retroarch (pc engine cd etc)....dont care much for the Wiiu library of games myself, no one is online anymore on CoD black ops 2 I used to love and play fondly 6 years ago. My Ps3 I can still play CoD (ghosts) online with multiplayer
Yeah im sure the Wii U online lobbys are completely dead! Cheers!
If you build it, the Wii U will come.
Is this Heaven? No its the Wii U! Cheers!
Totally agree fellas! Wii u holds up fantastic. So glad i held on to the collection. One year ago i got the mario maker edition cib for $75! The switch owes much success for the wii u. Way ahead of its time!
Great deal on Mario Maker! It definitely laid the groundwork down for the Switch! Cheers!
Great vid guys. I love seeing wii u anything
Thanks! Its one of our favorite consoles! Cheers!
We agree! We feel like if more people played more they would lean toward the Wii U! Cheers!
I picked up an extra Wii U couple years ago. Just so I Will always have one working.
Always a good strategy to have backups! Cheers!
Finnally beat Mike Tyson’s punch out !!!
Awesome man! Thats an impressive feat! Congrats! Cheers!
@@GamingOffTheGrid love u guys and love watching the content!!
Decent beer! Cheers to U! The Wii U!
Cheers Brotha!
I love my Wii U. Easily top five fav consoles. I’m fully aware that some mistakes were made by Nintendo with the design, hardware, marketing, etc, but I love the tablet, I love the features of the console, I love its virtual console, and almost every game on it was an instant classic.
Its a hammer for sure! So underrated in the grand scheme of things! Cheers!
The couch co-op A-Semetric games blew me away at the time. Even today i think it was a pretty radical concept.
I'll defend to the grave that the BEST way to play RE4 was on the Wii.
Yeah that is very true! Theres some other Wii games that are similar! Cheers!
Just picked up a back up wii u console only for 20 bucks. Might hack and run all my wii and gamecube game off a hard drive.
Awesome pick up and that sounds like fun! Cheers!
I remember when I got my Wii U playing off the controller 20 feet away from the console in my bedroom and thinking "why can't I just carry this anywhere?" The seeds for the Switch were planted it seems.
Yeah it does seem they heard that the noise from people and improved it on the switch!
I didn't even know about what a Wii u was until 2022
I love the wii u. It was the first console my wife and I bought together after we got married and started her down the road to collecting games with me. I also have to say that despite the somewhat limited range of the wii u tablet I've still logged a respectable amount of hours on my wii u from the toilet. My wife has heard a wide variety of expletive deleted phrases coming from the bathroom. Lol. As always great video guys.
Lol thats awesome! That you two can bond with the Wii U! Cheers!
I love the fact can watch telly and play especially when kids off school, I paid 140 other week for 32g one with 5 games
You make a good point! We might of misspoke! We meant it as since the gamecube sold alot more there wont be as many people with nostalgia! Cheers!
I never had one back in the day. But 6 months ago I got 2 of them and I love it.
Thats awesome you got one and enjoying it! Cheers!
8 player couch co op on Smash with the GC controller adapter. Nuff said...
That is amazing! We even done 16 players before! Cheers!
Hell Yeah! lol salute
BEST CONSOLE EVER
Its definitely one of our favorites! Cheers!
Yeah Nintendo was definitely experimenting with it! We think it set the stage for the Switch! Cheers!
Just played black ops 2 on wii u last night. Definitely the best way too play it.
It is so amazing to play it co op on the Wii U! Its our favorite way! Cheers!
Wii U is a great console. I picked up another as a spare console w/ tablet. I've been also picking up games for it just in case.
Never hurts to have backups! The values of those games will rise! Cheers!
Im a big fan of lactose beers. Strawberry milkshake ipa
That sounds so good! We love them also! Cheers man!
Thats one big reason we think it failed! People thought it was an expansion to the Wii! Cheers!
It wouldnt hurt but if you remember your sign in details you should be fine! Cheers!
WiiU needs a 3ds game attachment so you have access to the full DS and 3DS on the WiiU . Definitely agree with you guys on that because I'm not a mobile gamer neither but there's some good games on the handhelds.
That would be awesome! They should of thought of that! Cheers!
Completely agree!
Yeah they gave up on the Wii U too fast! Cheers!
Very true! That played a role and the marketing was awful! Cheers!
Happy Birthday, WiiU. I wish I had gotten to know U.
I think alot of people are on the same boat as you! Cheers!
I firmly believe the WiiU will age like the Gamecube, but right now, while it's not super popular, it's great to collect for.
We believe it deserves it but we will see! Cheers!
Yeah the Wii U is a powerhouse! Glad you are growing your Wii U Collection! Cheers brotha!
WiiU will become like the Saturn, uncommon, expensive and largely reserved for collectors to scrap over.
It definitely looks like it will go that route! Cheers!
