I'm very introvert though I make quite a lot of public speaking, sometimes to large audiences (2-300 ppl). If I can give one tip it's to keep this in mind: they're not ennemies, they're not judges. They want you to be interesting and most of them are genuinely interested in what you have to say. Imagine you're talking to a group of friends. And know your subject. Practice, practice, practice. Full voice in front of a mirror and use a timer. The more you know your subject the more relax you will be. Think about your driving licence exam vs driving the kids at school 10 years later. Mix those two with the tips of this video and you'll be good. 😉
And also think about giving them a good show. Make them be attentive to you! Do not think they would judge you or laugh at you, even if they do, that's okay, other people might judge them for laughing. I've had years of public speaking and singing experience so i know the first time would always be scary, but the second and third time's, you will get used to it! If your having a presentation, i advise you not to add too many details like a essay, you won't be able to remember all those.
I do public speaking now and then. My advice, to avoid looking down at notes or lose your train of thought, is to know the subject matter and know it well. I do not use notes, because my outline power points are filed inside my brain. Make sure your voice is in good condition by refraining from dairy products and keep your throat conditioned. I use lemon water and salt water gargles. Take in a deepest breath possible and exhale a few times. My style is to make it seem like I'm having conversations with my best friends. Just some tips I use.

Whenever I have to speak publicly, I tell myself that no one wants to listen to a shy person who doesn't have any engaging body movement. People ADMIRE confidence and energetic speakers and that's how I do well: I want people to admire me because I know that if I'm shy, they won't have any admiration for me.
My awkward weakness was i would start laughing during presentations non stop. But now I'm in control of the presentation overall my lifestyle changed, one thing let to another and i became confident in general. Exposure to many different things helps your overall character.
I completely agree on having pauses or as what I'd call "Pacing." It gives so much depth to your speech and it gives time for the audience to digest what you're telling them. I also have to work on being more organized and not going around everywhere giving as many examples as I can, most of the time i just confuses people.
@@jstair78 It was not bad. I tried following the tips but I kept running out of breath. I literally had a hard time breathing but I was able to finish everything, so I gues that was fine. The tips were helpful though! =)
For me. Notes, definitely because I will start to remember things as I speak and try to say everything and end up relaying nothing. This was very helpful. My speeches are about something highly personal and emotional. So I will practice with all of the pointers
Maintaining eye contact in more intimate circles, I was with a group of 4, and when it was time for me to speak, I spoke but stared over their heads, one of them actually turned back to see if I saw something they didn’t because of my gaze pattern. Will definitely connect by looking at the person am speaking with in small and large settings. Thank you so much
Thank you so much!! Im just a 12 years old girl,And i was chosen to do public speaking!! So i dont have fears on stepping on a stage,bc i got on a stage ever since im 6 yrs old!So i wish everyone good luck and myself :3
I started performing weddings for close friends and now am working my way into working with larger groups and strangers for weddings. I tend to fidget and ramble a lot and I'm hoping your videos will help me! This one hit on a lot of great points. Thank you for posting.
I hope and believe you're a lot better, now. I'm just getting started on Public speaking. I don't even know how it will go but I'm optimistic that it will go well. I don't have any program in sight, too. 😅
I'm passionate about public speaking. I grew up with the microphone. So far, I've been using this great gift to make some money for myself as I'm always invited to Mc weddings, birthday parties, events and others. I think my flaw Is the fact that I seldom really stand still in a particular spot, but I have a strong voice and always speak confidently especially when I'm prepared for the occasion. Thanks for the video
@will9491 will9491 It was the definition of akward. I was the only one that day who was presenting just by himself. Everyone else was in the group. I said maybe half what I knew. I could not properly express myself and I was visibly uncomfortable. I made them laugh once which was not even intentional. The only consolation is that a lot of other people were just as nervous and akward as me.
Thanks for the great information 1. Direct eye contact - one on one look 2. Confident voice 3. Simplified notes - Make it simple so we don't rely to slide too much
I'm just shy full stop, but I need to get out of my shell because I'm dealing with a lot of people in my community. Public speaking is one area I really need to work on, the tips some I already know but need to practise more on it
37 diamond, do not feel bad because you are shy. When you focus on the key points to talk about, you'll find that the fear and shyness will begin to disappear. I am a bit of an introvert, and found that practicing speaking in front of a mirror has helped immensely. Best of luck, you can do it! Best Wishes, John Lombardi
37diamond, first step is to pay attention to your words. By saying "Im am shy" you are just adding fuel to the fire of your self believe of being shy. Say out loud "I am more confident every day". What you say out loud you create. You are not shy with people you know. You are most likely afraid of people's opinion of you. Speak out loud this statement every time you catch yourself about to say "I am shy'. Say "Other People's Opinion Is None Of My Business!" With this statement you will become more confident in time. Be the person you want to be before you are that person....
"One thought, One look" I've always thought that yes, eye contact with people are important and necessary in speaking , but whenever I'm speaking infront of alot of people, I tend to just look at the whole crowd. This one did made it more clearer to me that theres more to it than just staring at people. Thank you!!
Diego Mendoza Um, ahhh pauses to gather my thoughts; I must practice organizing my thoughts first speaking confidently, boldly and clear - without those stupid filler words and sounds !
Thank you for the great information, here are my takeaways: 1. Organised and Concise - Always take out time before hand to prepare your speech 2. Direct Eye contact - One thought one look 3. Simplified Notes - Make it appear like a conversation 4. Simplified Slide 5. This video helped me realize multiple things. One of them being the importance of being organized and give information, but only when it's important. If I ramble throughout the speech the impact and how meaningful the speech is will be reduced. Simplicity is also a very helpful tip when it comes to public speaking. If you make information easier to understand the likeliness of the audience following along will increase.
I had so many opportunities to do public speaking. But I was shy. I had excellent ideas which I told to the person who sat next to me in meetings. He or she would say that loudly. Many times, by the time I organized my thoughts, it was too late for me to speak. I wish somebody had given me some instructions like this when I was younger. Good advice!
I'd add one somewhere, either as a stand alone or in support of one of the original points: Talk to what you know, don't try and sound knowledgeable about something you are not. E.g. Someone asks (challenges) something that you are weak on, or is somewhat outside the domain of the presentation, be honest, reply in credible fashion, don't try and fake it. Be confident and honest.
Excellent tips! I'm studying to become a music teacher, but I've always been a shy, timid person. I used to be so nervous during speeches that I'd forget the note cards in my hands. I recently starting singing solos at my church and it's really scary, but it's also really helping my confidence and public speaking skills
Happy the video helps. I used to sing, too. And, I think any experience up in front of people helps. Singing helps public speaking and vice-a-versa. Also, if you're church ever has people do announcements, you could see about doing some announcements, too. It all helps.
The tips to “simplified notes” and “confident posture and gesture “ are the most helpful to me as i always get nervous when i dont remember the the sentences that i was supposed to say and the more i fidget with my hand the more i get nervous thus i cannot deliver my point brilliantly and left the listener unable to comprehend what i’m trying to convey.
Graduating tomorrow and my mentor wants me to give a 5 minute speech on stage.. my schooling definitely challenged me, but public speaking being one of my biggest fears feels like my final challenge.. I wrote out a speech and memorized all key points, I'm still bringing cards with the key points just in case I get lost in a crowd of judgmental eyes, just hoping I don't start stumbling over my words, that's when I usually start shaking.. man the tests of life are a bitch but god damn does it build character through humiliation. I'm ready to step into the power of my own voice
I think the most thing that can help me from these video is organized & concise. It is because based on my experienced giving a speech or presentation, my weakness is I frequently forget the main point of my speech and sometimes told an unecessary point,in other words rambling and too longwinded. Therefore with this method,I think it can prevent my weakness in giving speech and my speech will become more confident to hear than before.
This is quite helpful, I recently gave a speech which I believed I Rambled a lot, which resulted to people not following my speech as it was not concise. No one cheered for me which made me feel really bad. Thanks for sharing.
For me personally, I think my presentations would benefit from being able to get straight to the point in an organized, concise message. I'm looking for an uncluttered conversational style speech. For my audience to appreciate my message I think it would help to create a speech outline that can point me to the smooth transitions in between the introduction, to the body to the conclusion. One thought, one look is also a great tip to know how to maintain eye contact.
Thank you! Having been nervous recently. I'm going to give some tips i use whenever i do a speech. Firstly, do not think people are going to judge. This has been very difficult for me to follow, since im an introverted person, so i overthink alot. What i do is to completely focus on my speech and think about giving these people a good show or presentation! Secondly, be confident in yourself, like sir said, say it like your having a normal conversation with your family. Make sure your notes are simple and not like an essay. You could throw in facts. Thirdly, if your speech timing is around 5 mins or less, try to give the main points of the speech. Don't ramble while introducing, get straight to the point! Thank you. It took me years of public speaking and singing experience! Hope you all get good grades or get a promotion in your presentations!
🍃 I miss your notes at the bottom of the screen. They were so helpful for beginners like me; however, thank you because I know it took time in the past to write them down. 🍃
Another great tip is to find a public speaker that you admire. Learn from their presentation and techniques. Copy them as much as you can. You will eventually develop your own style but will carry elements of those speakers you admire for life.
I am really shy to talk in front of a crowd and I've ran away from public speaking for all my life. But tomorrow I've got an elocution competition and there is no way to run away from it. I know my dream is senseless but now it feels like I too want to speak confidently in front of a crowd. So for this I'm gonna take up this challenge and get out of my fear. Wish me luck !
@@alexanderlyon I did it. It was not the best speech or even a good one. But all I wanted was to say a few words within the time without fumbling , and I achieved it. Your tips came handy in that time and I'm grateful. My friends also supported me to get out of my fear and after my speech, they had told me that now your stage fear is dead officially. I feel like this is a start and I could be better with practice. Thank you.
the tips 'be organized and concise' instead of 'rambling and get long-winded' is the most helpful tips for me. i think it can help me doing a better public speaking in future.
Even public speaking at church can be nerve-wrecking! I’ve caught myself swaying or fidgeting with my fingers, as I’m standing in front of people. So posture is very important! If it gets recorded on video it’s always good to replay & learn from your mistakes! Thanx 👍🏼 Everything gets better with practice 😀Best of luck for Everyone 😃
As for me ,simplified notes are the most helpful for public speaking. They make complicated stuff easy to understand, so I feel more confident when I talk. With them, I can explain things clearly and keep the audience interested in what I'm saying
Thankyou this has been so helpful. As I was sharing at Church today I felt like my points was too jumpy and not clear. I like the eye contact point as I feel like I totally was just jumping from face to face. I'm trying not to be down with myself because it was my first time. But I can ponder back and reflect on what not to do and what to do better. Thankyou God Bless from Australia 💕
When I started doing stuff in church I know two of my problems were being too quiet and not looking up enough I wrote at the top of my notes Loud and Clear. I don't write it anymore but just be self award and monitoring it. By looking up more i can see if they can hear well enough.
I am reminded of the line from "Planes, Trains and Automobiles", when Steve says to John - "when you're talking, at least have a point." At work, you are usually communicating with people who are somewhat informed already. Either re-inforce a known, or tell them something better and new. Don't waste their time, they'll know it and resent it.
As my channel name states, I would love to inspire. Tonnes of knowledge. But when it comes to public speaking or even talking into a mic alone... wooden is a perfect way to put it. Ive been gaining more and more confidence with each video created but still have to climb outta my rigid shell and relax a bit... just be natural. Thank you for the tips. Ill be rewatching this one until the points stick.
for me i completely agree that we have to make sure that our presentation is organised and concise so that we stay on the right track when we speak, so that people can get the information clearly. I also agree with clear and simple slides, it should not be too long, or else it could be confusing to listener and the lecturer.
Good basic points... "Encourage ye the school children, from their earliest years, to deliver speeches of high quality, so that in their leisure time they will engage in giving cogent and effective talks, expressing themselves with clarity and eloquence." ~ Baha'i Faith
Thanks Alex. I am going to share this with some UG Research students. All the don'ts- when I started as a professor I did all of them! But I have become better. I think that anyone can with enough motivation and work.
Very helpful. I'm going to speak to a group of youth during the first second week of December. So I'm looking for videos to help and motivate me. You have made valid and useful points. Me, as a beginner find this very helpful. Thank you 😊
2:04 - One thought; one look - I really like that saying when it comes to proper eye contact. I teach the same thing, but the way you put it here makes it much more memorable. I'll have to remember that one in the future. Thank you!
This was really helpful. And yes, when you're well prepared for a subject, the confidence to speak would definitely set in. And when you see the people in the crowd as just your friends multiplied, it becomes quite easier to relate with them. This was really helpful.
Im still a highschool student and we're already discussing extemporaneous speaking. As what I've observed, publick speaking and extempo are the same. This might help me ☺
I watched this video looking for good techniques, but didn't find what I was looking for. The speaker was very smooth and well rehearsed. I think that he'd make a good speaker for church groups, typical corporations, and women's groups as he's quite soft-spoken without a lot of range in his voice, coming across as a safe person to be around, and trustworthy.
Thank you for your kind words, even though it didn't fit what you were looking for. BTW, I'm a college professor in Communication and I do professional speaking on the side for 15+ years. I've spoken mostly to companies but some non-profits and church groups.
i think have a clear, loud, and confidence voice really help me to make sure audiences focus on what we want to talk and they will take it seriously and curious what we try to share.
I think the one that helps me the most is organized and concise . so my speech will be smooth and have their flows and my audience understand about my main point
Alex my brother, that was some very good information, even though I grew up with a speech impediment as a kid , it was real bad, But to god be the glory, one of my gifts is speaking‼️ right now in my life I have no problem speaking anywhere, anytime, investigate my channel when you have time and make a comment‼️ I want to cultivate my gift so I will tune in thanks, have a blessed life‼️
The most helpful for me is having confident , loud voice with pauses . When I do public speaking I must to get attention from people to hear speech . If my voice is too soft or slow people will not hearing what the speech I want to talk about and my point will not reached. . Sometimes I felt very nervous when i need to do public speaking and I will talk so fast without realize that so what I get from u is I need to talk with pauses and trying to be relax.
From my opinion the best method to me is the first one “ dont ramble “. The reason why i choose it because it make us more confident and be more prepared before presentation. Our audience can understand what we say .
Thank you. I am teaching my Grade 5/6 class to give effective presentations and this video will help. I would like to have more tools for younger students.
i think would help me the most in the list is clear and simple slide . It because easy to get the point want we want to tell to the audience. It easy to describe to others with the main point that we want to tell them. It easy to understand and focus with the point that we want to describe. Clear and concise messaging allow the audience to easily grasp your ideas. It eliminates confusion and helps your audience focus on the main points, making your presentation more memorable.
The best Do & Don't which helped me would be the confident voice, to speak loud enough for the back of the room to hear you. I have a soft voice which it may take a lot for me to project. Thanks for the tips on Do's & Don't for public speaking. I am a beginner leader,
Hi, Lakesha. Glad the video helped. For a loud voice, I always practice with a nice loud when I'm preparing. When I present I really do pretend or visualize that somebody in the back row has poor hearing and I speak pretty loudly. I actually struggle with my own hearing so it's easy for me to imagine. Thanks for contributing tot he discussion. Welcome to the community!
i think confident , loud voice with pauses would help me the most because when we speak with confidence , it shows that we believe in what we’re saying . a loud voice helps ensure that our message is heard cleary . sometimes when im not confident i become speechless because in my mind i think what do they think about me , is it good or not , so i think is a bad things that i have to improve
I am working for an NGO,Due to the its nature i mostly do a lot of presentation to the publics being farmers.I hope this skill is helpfully for me to improve my presentation. Tchaoo...!!
I'm in a college speech class and i'm terrified. My first speech is this friday. But I'll keep the short notes tip and i'll remember to pause to breathe too. Great video
For me the most things that can help me is organized and concise so that my presentation will follow the flow that already set and once we are fully prepared we wont have time to stutter when doing the presentation.
Thanks for the vid! For me the most helpful tips, or the ones I need to work on most are a confident gesture, talking clear and not too fast, pausing every once in a while and making direct eye contact. Last week I presented my thesis and for a 20 minute presentation I used about 60 slides. Almost like a pecha kucha, with only one core idea or image per slide. I think it worked pretty well because the teachers listening to my presentation had already read my thesis so they were up to date with my key points already. Normally I wouldn't do it with so many slides but I think it worked out pretty nice! Greetings from Spain
Thinking about getting into translating for public speakers or becoming a public speaker because I have noticed that my speaking abilities are far superior than my peers and that I’m not good at making the slides but i can read them with ease whilst keeping eye contact and avoid glancing at notes.
I think well organized and concise content, is very helpful for your speech. When you know what you're gonna talk about, your body will automatically feel comfortable speaking and communicating with your listener, you'll have zero issues when you start to speak. Plus your speech flow will be done smoothly and you manage to get everyone understand your point.
Hello Alex, this video was very informing. I'm very introverted and I don't like public speaking whatsoever. However, your video does give me a little more confidence and what I should do when presenting. One thing I tend to do is ramble and fidget with my hands a lot. I never really had someone tell me I shouldn't be doing those things but now I know. It was interesting to hear you say that I shouldn't clutter my notes with many details. Every time I made notes for a presentation I tried to get everything on there but looking back on it, I can see that it adds more pressure.
I'm aspiring eveng host, flight attendant and college instructor and this video really helps me in improving my communication skills. Thank you so much coach, I can learn from you for free by just watching your videos. 🙏😇
The “don’t overload your slides” would help me the most in this list as it show us how to talk more spontaneously rather than reading the slides. I know students don’t have confidence when they don’t have the script with them but as you practice more then you will better at it.
I'm very introvert though I make quite a lot of public speaking, sometimes to large audiences (2-300 ppl). If I can give one tip it's to keep this in mind: they're not ennemies, they're not judges. what does #2 mean won't lock with your eyes?????
DON’T RAMBLE / BE ORGANIZED AND CONCISE
DON’T HAVE BAD EYE CONTACT / DIRECT EYE CONTACT
DON’T HAVE CLUTTERED NOTES/ SIMPLIFIED NOTES
DON’T HAVE COMPLEX SLIDES/ CLEAR AND SIMPLE SLIDES
DON’T FIDGET/ CONFIDENT POSTURE AND GESTURES
DON’T SPEAK SOFT WITH FILLER/ CONFIDENT, LOUD VOICE WITH PAUSES

Sounds awesome, Lucas. Public speaking can be a great skill for personal growth and interesting experiences. Good to hear from you.
Only by Gods grace will I make it today during my meeting. I do all of this don'ts although I'm getting good at the do´s. Thanks for the tips.
College presentation in 4 hours. I am about to dieeeee
Mr. TeeKaNee I can totally relate lol
Hahaha i always run
Mines in 6 hours lol
Mary Cassidy was it on online classes?
I’ve listened to a lot of these public speaking videos lately, but so far this is the best one! Thank you Alex.
Thanks for the great information
1. Direct eye contact
- one on one look
2. Confident voice
3. Simplified notes
- Make it simple so we don't rely to slide too much
I'm just shy full stop, but I need to get out of my shell because I'm dealing with a lot of people in my community. Public speaking is one area I really need to work on, the tips some I already know but need to practise more on it
I'm cheering for you.
37diamond, I know for a fact that shy people are great performers and speakers, Practice and you will be amazing when speak
Say "Other People's Opinion Is None Of My Business!"
With this statement you will become more confident in time.
Be the person you want to be before you are that person....
U used a comma not a full stop
"One thought, One look" I've always thought that yes, eye contact with people are important and necessary in speaking , but whenever I'm speaking infront of alot of people, I tend to just look at the whole crowd. This one did made it more clearer to me that theres more to it than just staring at people. Thank you!!
For me, i think the last tip was the most helpful tip for me, since I tend to say "um" a lot during my presentations.
Diego Mendoza
Um, ahhh pauses to gather my thoughts; I must practice organizing my thoughts first speaking confidently, boldly and clear - without those stupid filler words and sounds !
And a lot of speakers say OK a lot. As if seeking some type of affirmation after every statement

Thank you for the great information, here are my takeaways:
1. Organised and Concise
- Always take out time before hand to prepare your speech
2. Direct Eye contact
- One thought one look
3. Simplified Notes
- Make it appear like a conversation
4. Simplified Slide
5. Confident Postures and Gestures
- Use Hand Gestures to emphasize on your idea
- Move and stand on place for a while and repeat6.
6. Confident Voice
- Pause after you share a key idea
- Aim to speak to the back of the room
I love this. I did a lot of public speaking as a Police Officer and you can drop a lot of audience attention by rambling. Great coaching.
How do I subdue deference?
How did it go?
I think the most thing that can help me from these video is organized & concise. It is because based on my experienced giving a speech or presentation, my weakness is I frequently forget the main point of my speech and sometimes told an unecessary point,in other words rambling and too longwinded. Therefore with this method,I think it can prevent my weakness in giving speech and my speech will become more confident to hear than before.
This is quite helpful, I recently gave a speech which I believed I Rambled a lot, which resulted to people not following my speech as it was not concise. No one cheered for me which made me feel really bad. Thanks for sharing.
Keep working at it. You’ll keep getting better.
Love it how you mentioned about not cluttering our notes on the PowerPoint this make it easier for me to speak.
Yes! Let's us know how it goes. :-)
You can do it!
Thank you.
@@namjooningchim You made it through! Sounds like you have wise friends. Onward!
Love eyes contact technique!
I have been really struggle with it. Now i know how to work on it. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful.
Always, see shy looking on someone's eyes directly may be I don't have confidence.
I still can't do eyes contact
All of the does and don'ts will help me thank you!
the tips 'be organized and concise' instead of 'rambling and get long-winded' is the most helpful tips for me. i think it can help me doing a better public speaking in future.
Best of luck buddy❤God bless you Christiana.
As for me ,simplified notes are the most helpful for public speaking. They make complicated stuff easy to understand, so I feel more confident when I talk. With them, I can explain things clearly and keep the audience interested in what I'm saying
How amazing is presentetion!
i am drifted and inspired so much Alex.
Thankyou
God Bless from Australia 💕
When I started doing stuff in church I know two of my problems were being too quiet and not looking up enough I wrote at the top of my notes Loud and Clear. I don't write it anymore but just be self award and monitoring it. By looking up more i can see if they can hear well enough.
I am reminded of the line from "Planes, Trains and Automobiles", when Steve says to John - "when you're talking, at least have a point."
At work, you are usually communicating with people who are somewhat informed already.
I'm an experienced speaker of many years and agree wholeheartedly with all of your points. Well done.
Awesome, wish me luck to my 1st presentation this coming friday bidding in the government.
Thanks Alex. I am going to share this with some UG Research students. All the don'ts- when I started as a professor I did all of them! But I have become better. I think that anyone can with enough motivation and work.
Hi Adam. Great to hear from you on here! Thanks for your ongoing encouragement about communication skills.
Very helpful. I'm going to speak to a group of youth during the first second week of December. So I'm looking for videos to help and motivate me. You have made valid and useful points. Me, as a beginner find this very helpful. Thank you 😊
Glad it was helpful!
I am glad I watched the not rambling section. I needed the reminder on staying organized when I speak professionally.
I have a public speech in November 15 2019 and I think this video help me a little
Glad it helped, Dino. I hope your speech goes well.
How did it go ?
I am recently enrolled in a public speaking program. This is the first time that I saw your vid. This is helping me alot. BIG THANKS 🤗
I'm Beginner
so let me say
All tips are helpful For me
tanx 💙
i think have a clear, loud, and confidence voice really help me to make sure audiences focus on what we want to talk and they will take it seriously and curious what we try to share.
Hi Alex, thanks for the great points on not reading from notes and how to organise bullet points to guide us when speaking.
Glad the video helped, Cel. Nice to meet you.
@@alexanderlyon Great to meet you too :)
I think the one that helps me the most is organized and concise .
so my speech will be smooth and have their flows and my audience understand about my main point
Alex my brother, that was some very good information, even though I grew up with a speech impediment as a kid , it was real bad, But to god be the glory, one of my gifts is speaking‼️ right now in my life I have no problem speaking anywhere, anytime, investigate my channel when you have time and make a comment‼️ I want to cultivate my gift so I will tune in thanks, have a blessed life‼️
Awesome! Glad it was helpful. God often uses us in unexpected ways. Onward!
Communication Coach Alex Lyon Much Appreciation‼️
I will be public speaking next week for my big project to some school principals... Thanks for making this video
This helped me be confident 😊I think I can do this even though it's my first time but I will give it a try
Thanks my Best Teacher ....God be with u
From my opinion the best method to me is the first one “ dont ramble “. The reason why i choose it because it make us more confident and be more prepared before presentation. Our audience can understand what we say .
Thank you. I am teaching my Grade 5/6 class to give effective presentations and this video will help. I would like to have more tools for younger students.
Glad it was helpful!
I love it 💖💖💖💖 💖💖💖🤩🤩❣️🤩
i think would help me the most in the list is clear and simple slide .
Thank You, this was very helpful. Concise and staying confident
Kind, clear message You practice what you preach ! Very helpful !
The timing for me to watch this informative video couldn’t get any better as we’ll be doing a public speaking in the next week 💐😁
Great video
I hope it goes well!
Hope the speech went well :)
In the university presentation, I was able to get a lot of help from this video. Thank you😊
Im actually going to a english speech contest. But,im not actually good. This really help me😁😁😁😀😀😀
For me the most things that can help me is organized and concise so that my presentation will follow the flow that already set and once we are fully prepared we wont have time to stutter when doing the presentation.
Overall, confidence is the most important key you need to have in your public speaking. It will lead to everything gone well.
Even at work place 😮
Thanks for the vid!
For me the most helpful tips, or the ones I need to work on most are a confident gesture, talking clear and not too fast, pausing every once in a while and making direct eye contact.
Last week I presented my thesis and for a 20 minute presentation I used about 60 slides. Almost like a pecha kucha, with only one core idea or image per slide. I think it worked pretty well because the teachers listening to my presentation had already read my thesis so they were up to date with my key points already. Normally I wouldn't do it with so many slides but I think it worked out pretty nice!
Greetings from Spain
One thought, one look! Thank you for very helpful advice. I will have an exam on presenting in 7 minutes. I hope it will be fine.
Happy to help. I hope your exam goes well.
Thinking about getting into translating for public speakers or becoming a public speaker because I have noticed that my speaking abilities are far superior than my peers and that I’m not good at making the slides but i can read them with ease whilst keeping eye contact and avoid glancing at notes.
Thank you for your tips. This friday I'm speaking in school about drug and addiction.
Good luck! 🙂
I hope it goes well!
Thanks for the tips. This coming Thursday we will be having our public speaking about marine life.(sharing)
Keep doing. Every advices were so interesting.
Thank you very much for highlighting such key issues for the beginners.
Glad it was helpful!
I'm aspiring eveng host, flight attendant and college instructor and this video really helps me in improving my communication skills. Thank you so much coach, I can learn from you for free by just watching your videos. 🙏😇
Great to hear. I'm glad it was helpful.
Thank u.Very informative.Hrlps beginnrts like me
Could you say something about the Listeners’ psychology of an Audience-centered approach? Noticed that. Thank you sounds like a great idea!
The “don’t overload your slides” would help me the most in this list as it show us how to talk more spontaneously rather than reading the slides. I know students don’t have confidence when they don’t have the script with them but as you practice more then you will better at it.
