Awesome build. I'm building one right now but it attaches to my power rack. I've been trying to find those half circle pads. Where did you find those? Thanks!
I would like to see Gardners Garage or A Modern Maker do a comparison between the raw materials and the cost of buying one of these machines from Rogue. I assume it is cheaper but I am ignorant to the prices of steel tubing.
+a modern maker that idea for the holes being cut with the plasma cutter is brilliant. How accurate are the holes? do they all measure the same and perfectly round? I built a similar fixture, but i have to drill all my holes.. and theres a lot! in my squat stand video you will see it.. but i like your idea much better!
Thanks +Big D's Garage The holes are pretty darn accurate. Yes they measure the same and are about 99% perfectly round. They don't have to be perfect because the spring pin is 5/8" and the holes are about 11/16"-3/4". I originally bought a plasma cutter because I built a lot of squat racks and got sick of drilling all the holes!
Nice build, interested in where you purchased the 4 roller pads from? I need to upgrade the rollers on my Legend Fitness GHD. Would you care to measure the length and width of them along with inter diameter. Trying to find parts for GHD online is a pain in the ass, nobody list the specs.
Thanks goforbroke2. I like your screen name. My grandpa was a member of the 442. Yeah I’ll see if I can track it down, I know what you’re talking about. They’re 8.5” x 5”, 1” ID.
No problem! Ok, I'm pretty sure these are the pads I bought: kamway.com/polyurethane-pu-padded-roller-8-5-8-l-x-5-w-x-27-mm-id Not cheap, but very durable and the right size. You can find other sizes and shapes here: kamway.com/parts-and-components/foam-rollers
A Modern Maker Yup I found them online earlier today they seem like a quality piece. Looked into Rogue’s GHD rollers also virtual the same dimensions as the kamways along with the same price. Still waiting to hear back from Sorinex. My GHD sleeves are only 8 3/4” doesn’t leave much room for the collar.
+goforbroke2 Yeah I’ve compared them side by side with Rogue’s and couldn’t tell a difference. If you had to you could cram the collars on, there’s enough give.
Really want to have a crack at doing this. Already made my own rig so this is the next project. Do you think I could get the dimensions you used? That would be awesome.
Would you mind giving me the diameter of the half circle padding? I'm planning on building my own very much simplified version but I'm not sure about those dimensions. Thank you very much!
+Big D's Garage you can buy the semicircle GHD pads online for an insane price at Kamparts I think. I just built my own. I made wood frames and covered them in nice 2" thick foam and fabric from an upholstery shop.
Nicely done! Quality workmanship and looks great!
Would like to build one of my own. You mentioned plans may be available?
Hi nice machine, what thickness are the plates you weld to the box section that bolt together?
1/4”. Foot plate and plates for pads are 3/16”
Fantastic workmanship, looks solid as a rock!
Awesome build. I'm building one right now but it attaches to my power rack. I've been trying to find those half circle pads. Where did you find those? Thanks!
Just-----WOW!
Thanks!
Looks so simple. Where did you get the lock pins for the adjustable foot part?
mcmaster.com
Where did you buy the pads?
Did he every release the specs and BIll of Materials for this build? I’ve looked through the comments but haven’t seen them.
Send me an email to amodernmaker@gmail.com
Where did you get the s?

A Modern Maker that's what I was thinking! I could blast thru those holes a lot faster
I was just thinking about Big D's video when I was watching this!
Costs for raw materials? Pretty badass.
Where did you get the pads?😊

Yes, I've had several requests, they'll be coming soon!
Great work!
Thank you!
Nice job, could i have the plans please? i would like to make one.

Haha. Back when you were OneVeryExtraordinaryMan? 😉
Nice work! Thnks for share! can you share the measurements? I’m appreciate
I am definitely in for the materials list for this! looks absolutely amazing
Thank you! coming soon...
A Modern Maker awesome! Can't wait. Did you make the plasma cutting template for all the holes yourself or what did you use?
+Kevin Perdue yes I made the template myself. I've tried both 1/4 drywall and 1/4" plywood for jigs.
Would you mind giving me the diameter of the half circle padding?
I'm planning on building my own very much simplified version but I'm not sure about those dimensions.
Thank you very much!
Q medidas son ?
fantastic stuff my friend, great metalworking too!
+1500lego thank you very much!
Looks so profi! sickmade. Did you come up with plans?
Thank you! They’re still in the works.
Did you by chance get the build specs done yet? I've been trying to make one for awhile but there are no gyms in the area to get measurements off of.
Are you any good with sketchup? That’s what’s holding me back.
I can send a rough draft style version if you need it.
Oh yeah that's all I was looking for. All of your projects are bad ass btw.
Ok I’ll see what I can do. Send me an email to amodernmaker at gmail dot com.
Your amazing! Following your channel now. I want to see if you wade any smith machine power rack combos
hi, excellent work, can you sent me this plan???
Awesome - Thanks for showing this.
Thank you!
oh and where did you get the padding for the ghd? thanks
+Big D's Garage you can buy the semicircle GHD pads online for an insane price at Kamparts I think. I just built my own. I made wood frames and covered them in nice 2" thick foam and fabric from an upholstery shop.
Titan Fitness has replacement pads for their GHD on their website. $30 ea.

what's the hole spacing and hole size of your die you made for the 5/8" holes?
+Kevin Perdue Spaced at 2" on center. 1.25" diameter. Makes a hole about 11/16" in diameter
excellent job
Thank you!
Excellent work, can you sent me this plan???
Hey man, how are the plans for this coming along?
They’re coming. Learning sketchup in my free time, so slower than I’d like but I am working on them. Hopefully done enough by tomorrow.
Nice! I never saw this machine :) Is that your own gym? looks great :)
+Black Beard Projects Thanks! Yes, that's my gym when I'm at work. It's a work in progress...

Send me an email to amodernmaker@gmail.com
How much did this cost to build approximately?
Approximately $100
how long did this take you?
4-5 hours.
Is it possible to get the build spec if I send you an email too?😃
Yes. amodernmaker@gmail.com
Awsome work. But it should be a lot more than 300$.
Thank you!
