  • After 2yrs my 997 Turbo finally took a crap from the coolant system. I knew this day was coming so i'm really not as mad as one would think. It's a matter of time when you own one of these cars. Well join me in tearing the engine out for the very first time and getting a ton of maintenance and upgrades done all at the same time.

great video and amazing that you and others on YT have confidence in doing most things by yourselves. Wish I had a garage and tools in the UK! Also that was a lot of coolant leaking! I had it happened to my 991.1 C2S that I have now sold but it was scary at first. Now I own a 997.1 Turbo in cobalt blue so hoping the car behaves! god willing!

Thank you, yeah I had a good 2+ years before this happened but I always knew in the back of my head the day would come since the coolant lines were never pinged prior. Enjoy your, they're really awesome cars. I'll be doing some upgrades also in search for more power. Stay tuned, lots more on this to come.

@@alhuegayle7550 100% great fun and would make sense to go for more power, I am trying my best to keep it stock hoping if I do I may dodge some of the problems (already have 2nd gear popping out on deceleration sometimes :( lol). I don't think mine have been pinned as well, might be worth doing on mine before anytning like this happens but need the funds first to even get around to getting someone to do it. At least we know we have cars that are only appreciating, 997 body, last of the mezger 6 speed manual Turbos. Looking forward to the future videos
