light ranged infantry is fast and does not get tired, of course it will win against armored troops with slow infantry, as in the Battle of Agincourt where archers and light infantry crushed the best French knights
All other civs except Incas: How the *HELL* are we gonna deal with those tanks? Swords? Spears? Guns? Arrows? Heavy duty units? Incas: Nah, let's just chuck some stones in their faces..
Plate armor doesn't actually protect very well against blunt weapons. You could be wearing a steel box on your head and if some strong guy banged it with a mace, there might be a small dent in the box, but your brains would be jelly. However I do recall hearing that the spanish soldiers in Mexico were pelted with stones and darts and they only got injured in unarmored parts of the body. My guess is native american soldiers had no weapons designed to deal with steel armor. If they started throwing bigger stones though it might start to hurt more than arrow fire because then it would be a little bit like getting hit with a mace.
Of course, the teutonic knight is one of my favorite fighters. But mostly strength is not the reason for victory, but tactics, terrain and space. His slowness often causes him difficulties. It is not for nothing that teutonic monks have a long range to heal. That's why my teutonic kights never go off without monks.
Teutonic Knights have always been a fan favorite unit. I'd love to pair them with monks if I could afford the gold: Teutons have one of the best monastery trees, and in a twisted sense, can use Monks as 'siege' by converting buildings.

Always felt a dash micro-intensive to individually load and unload units though, but that doesn't stop me from trying it anyways!
One of the little (or maybe not so little) details I love about AoE is that units speak different-sounding languages depending on what area they're from historically rather than just having generic vocalizations for all of them. Like the Germanic-esque units will say things like "Ja?" (Yes?) or "Bereit" (Ready). Just makes the game that little bit more immersive imo!
Well, Most Teuton player go TK's only if they can back a constant production of it. And I agree with Micro part, but like SOTL said not everyone can micro every where plus Teutons already got stellar monks which can heal units from this continent to that. So Teutons can also fare better.
Elite Teutonic Knights: I don't need hidden statistics under my cape. I can overpower with raw ones. War Elephants: I don't need even the elite upgrade to beat y'all. Super Elite Karambits: Count me in!
Against infantry 9.5/10 Against cav 9.5/ Against range 1.5/10 I didn't give them 10/10 for infantry and cav because 99% of units can run away from teutonic knights. And I didnt give them 1/10 for range because they can tank many shots before going down.
The problem is when you can't run away from the fight, for example when you aren't playing with an archer civ and 3 or 4 rams are destroying your castle or your TC and you sent your knights, swordmans, throwing axemans, Huscarls or pikeman (etc) to beat them and they deploy teutonic knights... ...i'm agree, the Teutonic knight is the age of empires bigest meme but in their terms is nearly invincible
wow, did not expect the War Wagons to be THAT effective. Tankyness counts for a ton. seeing that one boyar just freeze there and not fight for like 15 sec was painful. Also, DAYMN, Slingers are insanely good.
Mangudai, Janissaries, and Conquistadors were really close matches. This would give us a better idea of their value if you did it with equal resources spent, not equal numbers, though. And if you micro ranged units.

Depends on whether the player is Japanese for the 10% faster melee attack. Since these are custom scenarios, the elite unit isn't necessarily getting relevant civ effects.
Maybe the best infantry unique unit in the game. As a huge fan of the conquistadors I was impressed what a great rate they had against them. Even bulgarians were defeated...

I think a great quality of life improvement for your videos would be to mute the in-game music and play one track over the top of the video to avoid that annoying clipping and listening to the beginning of the song repeatedly. Thanks for the videos, love the effort you put into them.

I can't believe it beat Boyar and Konnik so easily but then lost to Letis so easily.... also Im surprised that Mangundai did so much better than kipchak. Those were the most surprising results to me.

0:35 I like cataphratscs bonus attack and trample damage against infantry. They are excellent against teutonics. But that’s it. Too weak against other heavy cavaliers, camels and even archers. Too expensive to create.
This is not fair. Teutonic Knights have to move for a while before direct engagement. Forces using guns or bows have advantages in making the first damages which means before this Knights actually do something, they sacrifice at least 2 to 3.

Can't you bypass their speed and weakness to piercing by putting them in Siege Rams until they closed the gap?

Strange. I just finished watching the Samurai video, in which Teutonic Knights lost.
I think the fight vs samurai was inaccurate because two of them ran forward too much so they were fighting separately
This is not fair. Teutonic Knights have to move for a while before direct engagement. Forces using guns or bows have advantages in making the first damages which means before this Knights actually do something, they sacrifice at least 2 to 3.

Entiendo la finalidad de esto, pero no hay que confiarse las unidades a caballo y que son de arqueria o lo mismo arqueros podrian elegir mejores formaciones de ataque o moverse y tirar sobre todo los de caballo.
WHAT ABOUT ECO COMPARISON?
