@@MikeEmpires you can do something like with 3000 ressources (with priority on upgrades, without counting ages), saying how much res are left (or used). But there are so many upgrades to do with some units (from multiple basic military buildings, castle, university and forge).
I think my biggest complaint is how terrible the pathing is on the melee units. You see one get hit, and it causes a traffic jam that stops 80% of the army while they get pelted for free. RIP infantry.

They *are* best. But just like in the history, Turks are very close in strength, compared to the cavalry archers of Mongols. Because they lived in the same Asian steps and horse archer was the most powerful soldier back then.

@22joyZz beating camel archers is pretty rough, even with God level micro. The speed difference is too little, and it doesn't matter since the range is same. Camel archers fire almost as fast as mangudai, and do bonus damage on each hit. Micro does increase effectivity, but taking out camel based units is still an uphill battle. Elephant archers even more so. Without micro, elephant archers didn't loose a single unit, with micro, maybe results can be a little better, but that high HP and piercer armour won't fall to mangudai.
I think the point of this series is just for fun. For example, I don't think anyone expected the 30 karambits to do very well in one of his other videos (and they honestly got trashed.)

not sure if you saw the video but its practically even, if you would restart that setup random pathfinding would probably make out the winner (italian bowmen were walking around for a bit).. resource wise Italians Genoese Bowmen should win significantly

Not exactly, most of the archer units lose to mangudai. Mangudai deal almost equal damage to both infantry and archers. They are very mobile and can easily escape attacks, i consider that as their main advantage.
It's really painfull to watch a group of mangudais attacking without the hit and run technique 😭

Samurai is very impressive for me. It looks like gonna lose when they reached to Mangudai but they won.
Their UU bonus and faster attack rate makes them deadly in close range, one of my favorite units
