That's a beautiful piece of engineering right there. I work at a small engine shop where we work on a lot of tillers. Stuck wheels and tines are always a problem, and the mechanics would kill for a slick puller like that. THANK YOU!
best I have ever seen. Why don't you start a rent to use through the mail and use a deposit to make sure it is returned. I will be the first customer to rent, as I need it real bad.
Ah that makes sense. I saw on other threads others were interested in purchasing this tool from you in the past, is this still an option? Would definitely love to support your efforts and I can certainly use a tool like this for my seized up tiller wheels I'm restoring.
@@thefixerofbrokenstuffchecking back if you have availability to make this tool for purchase? Tiller has been in the garage for a year sitting with seized wheels lol.
Top drawer, hands on shop made tools that worked as intended. Brilliant, I enjoyed watching. A blob of grease always works. I thought you'd stripped the thread when pulling the wheel off, then it came off. Great old school you ain't beating me dude video lol. Tony
Absolutely brilliant! I've watched at least 2 dozen videos the last 3 days, and this is the best solution I've seen. Tomorrow I'll be getting a piece of 2" tubing and fabbing one of these up. I've got 2 Ariens Rocket tillers, a Troy Bilt Horse tiller, and a Craftsman tiller. All of them have stuck wheels and tines on them! Only problem with the Troy Bilt is the wheel attachment pins are on the inside, so I'll have to find another solution for those wheels. I may try using some old mower blades and making a puller that goes behind the wheel. Thanks for sharing! Subbed and thumbs up!
@@thefixerofbrokenstuff I pulled the motor on the Ariens Rocket 7. I also decided to check the points. When I started putting the flywheel back on I noticed one of the magnets out of place. They were both loose. Luckily the metal was stained where they had been. They are epoxy drying tonight. I started on the pullers this afternoon about 4. I'll finish them up tomorrow. Thanks again for the tip/design!
Let the poxy cure three times longer than the instructions say. It's not pretty when magnets come off. G generators had an issue here while back. Not a good time.
@@thefixerofbrokenstuff Thanks for the tip. I was surprised at how weak the magnets were. Supposed to be 5 min, but it's old and was still soft an hour later. If it has not hardened in the morning I'll find my JBWELD! A set of magnets was $44 on EBAY. Apparently it's a common issue on Tecumseh.
How much would you charge to make me the same tool cause I can't get these wheels or tines off my Troy built pony?I will pay what ever you want I want to restore this old tiller
What a great idea! I got a Pony with a stuck wheel and some 1/4" x 2" square tubing from a trailer axle project! With your know-how and my poor fabrication skills, I'll have me a puller too! Thanks for the idea!

Well, now you know how to build one, or who to talk to if you want to buy one.

Pretty funny
If you made that tool to sell I’d be buying one NOW
I wish I had the insurance to manufacture tools.
Could you make me a wheel puller for a tiller and Mail it to me
Not really. Have a local machine shop make one.
Awesome ingenuity! Whats the name of those grade 8 bolts with nipples? Wasn't able to find those at my local hardware store.
They were made, not bought. I turned the dog point onto a plain bolt.

I will EVENTUALLY get around to making a few, but now is the time that I have to make my year's living.

No sir. Time to make money now.
i sure could use those 2 outside tines that face inward...off the used tiller you bought and used the puller on..
Pretty sure they ended up in the recycle bin.
Great job. Sometimes making a tool us more rewarding than finishing the job itself.
Thanks for a great video.
No problem. I agree, getting there is the best part.
you are a genius, thanks i need to make this tool.
Getting started is the hardest part

@@thefixerofbrokenstuff No problem man, I really enjoyed your off the cuff methods to get the job done. Tony
Can you put the measurements of the puller on here I have to stuck tiller wheels thanks
The dimensions I described in the vid are just about all that I've got. I never even sketched it out, I just made it.

Great idea interested in how you made the puller to remove tires and tines
Thanks
Anyway you could sell me a puller like that?
I could, but I've got a lot of irons in the fire now. It'll be about $100 plus freight, and I won't have time for a while.
