if you were to go public land hunting in indiana what would you use for deer - the legal calibers are - .350 Legend, .357 Magnum, .38-.40 Winchester, .41 Magnum, .41 Special, .44 Magnum, .44 Special, .44-.40 Winchester, .45 Colt, .454 Casull, .458 SOCOM, .475 Linebaugh, .480 Ruger, .50 Action Express, .500 S&W, .460 Smith & Wesson, .450 Bushmaster, and .50 Beowulf. Full metal jacketed bullets are illegal -- --- ---- im wanting to go lever action though too......
I’d take 2 the 350 legend and 44 magnum
WHO_TEE_WHO. Sig 2022 40 with night sights
Who Tee Who! What Did You Do? I love your videos but you gotta make this a more apples to apples comparison.... I saw your pocket pistols in Gel video but how about you do a new Battle of the little guys video with 22lr vs 25acp vs 22mag vs 32acp vs 380acp against Soda Cans. How many cans can they penetrate? Use 40 grain bullet for 22lrs and 45-50 grain for 22mag so its fair for the 25acp. Then maybe do a video with standard pressure 115 grain 9mm against 110 grain 38spl...in Gel and Water Jugs test. The 357 mag doesn't even have to show up at this party because he wins every time. WHO-TEE-WHO
Awesome video!
The 9mm was a fmj while the 357 was a hollow point and that makes a significant difference on hydrostatic targets
The 357 was actully a jsp
357 has over 530 ft lbs of energy versus 9mm at around 350 ft lbs. No match
I carry a 9mm switch from a 45. I get a lighter gun and twice the ammo capacity. I think a 9mm is quite adequate for defense. But I like them all equally.
The 357 has served me well, ever since 1939.
How old are you
sfat fuxia I hope I watch this shit when im 80
@ anyone "flingin" ammo is gonna get put down quickly. I may not have the fastest reflexes anymore but shot placement makes up for it.
@@briangabriel4165 I may have several grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
So u carried a 357 when u was born...I bet u don't even own a gun
After the 357 Magnum we were like , where it go?"... good slow mo WTW
It went places . . . across the county line, halfway to Kentucky, into low orbit . . . the usual places oranges go after a close encounter with a .357 magnum hollow point :)
How much difference with a flat nosed solid bullet? (Not that it matters)
It actually wasn't a fair test, everything was hardball vs a high velocity hollow point. But 45 hardball did well
I’m 🇨🇦so I’m only allowed to carry polite insults and for less serious threats, the stink eye.
Hahahahaha. Ahhh shit. That’s pretty good
You just made my day lol!!
Especially now. Feel sorry for your country dealing with that commie tyrant
It sucks losing your right to defend yourself, liberals are trying to take our God given right to defend ourselves here too. They are ruining our country.
Why must you out us like this?
Depends, you know? Got my cold weather gun (fits under Carhart, church gun (won’t print in Sunday Bests), lawn mowing gun (won’t cry if I ride over it and turn it into mulch), beach gun (fits in board shorts, not Speedo), etc. Depends on the occasion.
👍👍
That's me too. I'm small so what I wear dictates what I carry. Thankfully I love recoil so in cold weather the skies the limit lol.
Carried a .45 for over 20 years until it just got too big and heavy. Now I carry a Sig P365 in 9mm. Not only is it easier to carry, I'm actually a better shot with it.
Same here bud!..shot placement is really the most important thing; experience will show you that!
Carried a 1911 .45 for 1.5 years and just bought that glock 44 in .22. Im thinking its sooooo much easier and comfortable to carry all while easy target acquisition and follow up shots for shot placement. I def keep the .45 on my bedstand when I sleep thou.
What's up bro! .40 cal s&w is my personal carry
Yeah me too. I’m at the point where I have so much .40 ammo that it’s just best to buy more .40 cal handguns since I have the ammo on hand
@@sonofsam7237 that's the best logic I've heard all day sir. 😎👍🏻👍🏻
Exactly
The .357 definitely stole the show! I usually carry my G23 40S&W, but I also carry my XD9 Sub Compact, and my G30 45ACP sometimes. Thanks for the video!
I carry .22 magnum or .45
My wife carries a Ruger LCR in .22 magnum. Thing will kill your ears but she's deadly accurate with it.
Not a DA revolver guy, no matter what caliber. I’ve been carrying a .45 ACP Colt Lightweight Combat Commander since 1976 as a Second Lieutenant.
Great video. I have always carried in 9mm. Mostly because it’s what I am used to from serving in the military. I trust my life with that round for both everyday carry and for home defense. I like to practice a lot when I can and the price is pretty cheap. I do have other calibers and the .45 I love to shoot with my 1911 but 9mm is my preference overall.
Thats interesting. Yes these 380 ACP 95 Grainers often if loaded to weak (like making only 750 fps) will not make it through an 2mm sheet of metal. But loaded to about 850 fps these approach 3/4 of 9x19 penetration levels (9mm is then 124 grain and 1035 fps for around 300 ft-lbs). I can imagine the 380 ACP doing not much at an opponent but I consider that caliber as well only as an hit and run caliber to fend off attackers while getting distance to them myself. However I have shot 400 lbs calves through the thorax from one side and the bullets exited the other side. As well I shoot 700 lbs heifers with the little 380 ACP pistol in the head and they fall immediatelly to the ground and are dead (dispatch shooting at slaughtering). So an normal loaded 380 ACP bullet will most likely punch a hole into center mass and penetrate the lung or even exit when the clothing of the attacker is not multi layered. The 380 ACP has around 150 ft-lbs of energy while an 22 LR out of an handgun has about 70 ft-lbs and my reloads out of my 357 mag 6" revolver clock at 411 ft-lbs energy. Round nose 380 ACP have better penetrating capability but less destructive power than the more common flat points.
Thanks alot for doing this demonstration. It was fantastic. I carry .45 ACP's in the winter, 9mm's in the Spring and Fall, and .380 ACP's in the summer. I own a couple of .357 magnums, but have never carried them except out in the woods when hunting. Again, great video! Keep up the great work!
I like a .38. Good stopping power- less over penetration. Just need to find the right bullet type for your gun and surroundings.
I love the smell of vaporized oranges in the morning :-D
Oh how this warmed my old school .357 heart. That orange was _vaporized_ and it looked awesome. Let me spell that out: A W E S O M E! It's not like the other rounds didn't get the job done. Those oranges were stopped dead in their tracks, and there's no chance in you-know-where, that they'll cause any trouble. I did expect that .45 to wreak just a li'l more havoc, but it got the job done for sure. The .380 would probably be my go-to caliber for a small concealed, were I expecting to encounter oranges or ill-advised troublemakers, but for - well, what's it called in American - non-concealed carry, definitely .357 magnum.
And for my own edc: small change, my wallet, my keys and a small plastic squirrel figurine my daughter gave me for Christmas when she was four years old :)
Btw, if the're any armchair commandos out there, that start to lament over barrel length, projectile types, atmospheric inconsistencies, lack of tin foil hats, and all manners of armchair commando stuff, I'll just say: Go buy a bag of oranges! We're here because WhoTeeWho is all about puttin' a smile on your face - and that's what he does :-D
I carry a 40 Smith & Wesson it'll get the job done
Yes sir.
I think it's a great compromise. Potent, big, expands nice, penetrates deep, and capable of high capacity in lots of guns.
Carry 40s&w also
Same. M&P 2.0 Compact in 40 S&W
I carry a full size 40 myself. Its decent size n power with moderate recoil so my follow up shots are quick thanks to probably 200k rounds of practice. As for edc ammo for my 40 i carry a 14rd mag of 135gn hollows from underwood that run at 1403fps on average out of my handgun and I carry in my second 14rd mag some 165gn flat nose fmjs
Love caliber comparisons. Great vid.👍!!
Currently carrying a Ruger SP-101 chambered in 9mm, solid firearm.. never have to think about feed issues or jams of any kind.
Question: Was the .357 a hollow point? .......It did steal the show!
If you go the the 2:00 Mark you can see that - yes - the .357 is a hollow point.
The hollow will make no difference as it will not expand on an orange😄
@@1970HondaCL100 I thought so! Thanks!
I'm a .380 fan and switch between 380 and 9mm for carry
I own a 380
380 won't go through cars its basically a 9mm with less power but will still kill
What I like about your videos mostly is that they are informative, yet succinct; they don't have all the frills and garbage just to make them longer. Yeah, I liked it. I'll stick with my 45ACPs, good stuff! -Gunny T sends
Thanks for the demonstration.
I love the 45. However, I shoot the 9mm a lot better and that's why it's my choice.
9mm Glock 26, 9mm S&W Shield, Baby Rock 45ACP, Ruger.357
Great video as usual, I appreciate the work you put in them
Thanks for watching!
Fun video as always!. My 5 year old son watched with me and got a kick out of it. I bought him an airsoft gun right before the shutdown to start teaching him how to shoot, so weve been having fun with that
The springfield xds 3.3 chambered in 45 acp has been my everyday carry for years.
I personally have the 4.5 xdm in .45 and thats my edc and I love it .
Glock 20 in the winter when I have a coat on
G29 when without the coat
And always a db9 gen 4 in my pocket
Unless im in Illinois the it's a butter knife or spork
Good picks!
@vegeta420z
Or the spork can carry more than 3 teeth! High capacity is for war and all.
I live in Illinois guess I gotta go to Missouri to buy my gun
Thank you for this video. I enjoyed it. I would like to see 22 WMR included also.
love your videos dude !!
Appreciate you watching bigtime
I keep a 12 gauge by the bed and I keep a 357 magnum ready in the closet. The 12 gauge is if my family and I are barricaded in a room and I’m waiting for someone to come into the doorway. The 357 mag is if I have to go room to room. I keep an AR in the truck at all times and I carry on my person and 9 mm Glock 43X.
💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
"My doors are locked for your protection".
Never thought I’d see a sccy with a micro red dot. Cool stuff. I used to have a cpx1
Ive seen them EVERYWHERE the past 5 months. Seemed affordable although im uninterested. (Like they come with the sight out of the box)
Great video who tee who keep up the great work and god bless y’all
Thanks man I like this vid very insightful 🔥🔥🤝🏽
I've fired all those calibers- and a few more, however...
When choosing my EDC, I went with the G19. I saw it as a good 'meet in the middle' between a substantial caliber, higher capacity, and practical concealability.
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with proficiency when it comes to larger calibers. I just find that I'm able to follow-up more accurately, and MUCH quicker with the 9. I can easily dump the same number of 9MM rounds into a bullseye in 1/3 less time than with the 45.
I don't get preachy about it. And it makes no difference to me whether your EDC is a NAA Mini Revolver or a Desert Eagle. It all comes down to what works for you, what your needs are & what you're comfortable with.
I carry a SCCY CPX2 (9MM) and Ruger LCP (380) depending on clothing and destination...work great for me. I like the safety of the Double Action triggers 😉
Thanks and yes, I have always liked to use the .357 very much in my Security Six.
This guy is truly the greatest.
🙏🙏🙏
I live in Arizona where a golf shirt and shorts are the uniforms of the day, I pocket carry exclusively so that excludes the.45 If I want to go ultra-compact and light I carry my Ruger LCP 2 .22 loaded with CCi Mini-Mag Segmented Hollow Point 40 grains. Other than that I carry three separate micro .380 (Ruger LCP II, Glock 42 and Remington RM380) all loaded up with Black Hills Honey Badger Ammo with the Lehigh bullets.
My compact nines Sig-P365 and my Diamondback DB 9 Gen four have the same ammo, except in 9mm. It all depends on the pockets on the shorts, or how light I want to carry that day.
Same here in Florida
How about a 357 SP101, SW 60, Taurus 605 or Taurus 617 any of them 38+p loaded on a belly band or smart carry under shirt? Old-time plain clothes Texas Police classic.
.357 for me! That orange almost disappeared!
Once again, excellent video!
My carry preference depends on the circumstances.
It will be one of four. Delta Elite, Beretta vertec, in 40s&w, glock 19 or Ruger LCP.
Great video, enjoyed it. Where is the O juice stand???
357
Fruit salad
Was the orange used to simulate lung tissue...
That wasn't even orange juice.
It was orange fog!
You be the judge.
I get it.
@@scubaguy007 I get it
@vegeta420z 😄
I love 9mm a lot and 45 also those are my two that I like the most I carry both
i would go with the 9, gets the job done quick, no crazy recoil, light, and very deadly.
great slow motion work. thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great vid bro
Hey L&S!
I love my 357 snub, personally I carry that the most. 9mm I've carried alot on the past. Thinking I might upgrade to a 44 mag for around the homestead.
Some pieces of that orange hit by the 357 might have hit escape velocity, lol.
I carry 10mm
Someone will pick a butter knife!!!
🤪🤪🤪
Butter knife for me
The ones that are one piece metal can be sharpened and ground to a point make good throwing knives .
The butter knife is also very handy if you need to make a sandwich. Keeping your blood sugar at level, that is so important. Maybe I should think twice about that butter knife.
@@thomasraahauge5231 Even the pointy one can make a sandwich so good for different things . Lol.
Depends on time of the year/what I'm wearing and where I'm going. I rotate between Glock 29, Ruger LCR .38, Ruger LCP, and Sig P365. When I'm just staying home, I usually go LCR.
Next time I have a bag of oranges loose in the neighborhood, I'll call you.
Or just use my neighbor's juicer...
I like that 45 and I’m a 9mm and MM guy in general 😁😊
💪💪
357 seems a beast in this one . Thoughts?
357 is a beast in every one!!
Very good information damn that 357 round vaporizer!
I own all 6 calibers and carried them all but, I recently went back to the 38 special in my Taurus 856 UL.
Can’t own a handgun in ny, yet. For now, my .357 lever action is by far my go to if I need something in a home defense situation. Thanks for all the videos !!!
why is that?
Move out
Virginia is getting like NY.....
I’ll never understand how anyone can live in NYC knowing every criminal is packing but as a hard working honest tax payer your not, ALLOWED, like your some kind of ignorant two year old. Just not right, sorry but the .357 lever is an AWESOME choice for home defense. I really enjoy lever action shooting. Hope you get your rights soon enough.
Communist state. Thats why I left and never returned. Come south young man and enjoy our American liberties.
I vote 9mm.
👍👍
Agreed, cant go wrong with a 124 grain nato spec ammo
Agreed any 124+p - 147 +p will get er’ done
Great video I carry my Taurus G2 in 9mm. Be safe out there and GOD BLESS you and Paul’s families Amen 🙏
That orange mist was amazing
I carry a 50 desert eagle on a shoulder harness
💪💪 I need one
I cary mostly .380and the rest of the time I cary 9mm.
👍👍💥💥💥
same here
I read a lot of comments about the .380 being under powered, but it gets the job done as far as I can tell. Well, we don't have guns here in Denmark, so I don't have any first hand experience. I could be badly mistaken.
Yep still want all 6 only have 2 so far!
That 357 turned that orange into orange juice immediately
I like all the rounds but the 357 magnum scared that orange and 357 is close in power to the mighty 10mm . I carry a glock 20 gen3 10mm and love the power of the underwood rd👍👍
A second on the G20. The 10mm is neck and neck with .357 mag in performance but 15 rounds is better than 6 or 7
No 10mm? 😁😁😁
Nope not as common....only had 6 oranges
@@WHOTEEWHO
Were those the only oranges left at the store?🤣🤣🤣
@@louisbecker5941 apparently he used them in place of toilet paper.
I would imagine 10mm would be as good or better than 357 mag
When I did carry I had a .38, but that choice was based on things other than the round itself. As a newb I liked the simple battery of arms and long trigger pull of the DAO action. If I had my druthers I'd take a .45, but due to cost, capacity and all things considered I'd probably go for the 9mm.
Good informative video
Love the video I carry a springfield xd 40
Thanks for watching Joseph!
Fantastic handgun!
Good illustration of caliber difference. Also I've eyeballed the taurus and scyy alot but never bought one...I see u had 2 tauruses and a scyy in this line up. Apparently they aren't too bad???
Absolutely not bad. Carry them both
Right on I better get after em. Thanks.
I carry everything from a 22 all the way to the 45! Just depends on my mood or situation! Great review
I carry a 380 in the Springfield amory 911. It is loaded with Hornady critical defense. Thanks for testing it. It's about all my beat up old hans can handle.
IF I carried, ( not permitted here in Canada ) my choice would be a .380 or a 9mm. but maybe end up with a .38 SPL / .357 :)
Orange juice anyone!
357 is a good load, I have two pythons, but they will blow your ears out. You prolly will win the battle but be deaf from then on. 8
@@bailey9r Geez, a .22 will make your ears ring, especially if in a room,..i.e. indoor range,..ask me how I know! LOL!
@@bailey9r So, if the bullet doesn't get the job done, the baddie will be deafened to death?
Depends on where I am at and how I am dressed on what I carry I have them all
True and great point. In the summer might want something a little smaller and less penetrating ammo, versus the winter time when more clothing is worn you may want deeper penetrating ammo.
.357 Magnum: Behold The Orange. Now You See It, Now You Don't...
Excelente video muy buenas comparaciones sigue así saludos desde Costa Rica
45. 1911 Ruger. The most accurate hand gun that I have ever shot.
45 is excellent. I have the 357 and 45. The 357 is a Rugar also, but the 45 is a Hi Point. I totally trust my life with them both. I sleep with my 45 Hi Point.
Sig 228👊
I have never shot with a 45acp. However, I am a big fan of the 10mm caliber a lot of power at a good price :)
I like 45 pistols with long barrels short barrels tend to be really inaccurate
.45 Super
I luv the 45 your videos are awesome
great vid. short and sweet! Ruger LC9 9mm double action.
I vote 9mm. Otherwise carry a 50bmg to show extreme dominance.
"Use a gun, if that dont work, use more gun."
I don't know why people think 38 special is more powerful than other calibers like 380 or 9mm out of all of those it's only more powerful then the 22
38 Special & 380 are basically the same round in different guns.
38 special is 30% more powerful than 380 with +p+ ammunition !
Is just a waist, better go 357 magnum.
Agree! I hate the 38 special and never use them in my 357 mag. 9mm is FAR better than the 38 for all the ladies out there wanting to carry.
@@WickedDealer 380 is a little more powerful and faster
Thanks for the video. My carry, 22lr. , 9mm. , 45acp..or a 38sp.. I just depends on what i feel like and where i am going. Or wearing.
Great job! How about .40" S&W? This one is my personal carry!
Like any hunting, go big.
👍🇺🇸🇳🇿👍
I agree
Several years ago, I used to carry a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan snub in .41 Mag. mainly when I was out deer hunting. Got rid of it because it's bulky to carry and has a boatload of muzzle jump...not practical to carry but if you like lots of power, there's your gun (I think it only comes in .44 mag and .454 Casull now).
I carry .38 concealed. Open carry 9mm to .45 are my options. Great vid WTW!💥
What happened to the 40cal or 357 sig
Great video, that 357 is awesome
I do agree but I love my 9s and 40s auto feeders not a big revolver fan great videos wish you had 40 in it all mine are tarazes great guns for the price

357 magnum look like a magic trick look awsome, I carry glock 32 as my personal carry
.357 every day for 21 years now. Fresh oj each morning is a new application for my rig. I’ll report back with how it goes over with the wife lol.
Summer time with shorts & tee shirt a .380. The rest of the year it's a 9mm, .357, or 40 S&W depending on what can be concealed the best.
S&W shield 2.0 45 3.3 in barrel carry it every day love it
I recently purchased a lcp2 in .22lr because of the affordability to shoot it but it fits in my pocket so well that I'm gonna carry it sometimes.
👍👍
Very informative
Thanks for watching
I carry a Springfield XDS Mod 2 in .45 with Hornady 230 gr JHP +P rounds as my main but if I choose to carry a revolver, I have a Ruger LCR snub in .357 Mag. with Fiocchi 125 gr JHP. Either one more than does the job.
Nice video !
Thanks for watching
Good video. I have a Glock 21 also, as well as a Springfield 1911 for my .45 ACP needs. Under normal conditions I carry a .380 for concealment. An original Ruger LCP has been my EDC for a long time, but lately I picked up a Kimber Micro .380 and a Kimber Micro 9mm. Couldn't decide which one I really wanted, so I bought both to figure out later. lol Oh yeah, I carry a .357 on my property because I also have a feral hog problem. Either the SP101 or the GP100. Never could figure out which one I like better.
