For some reason it wouldn't let me leave my own comment but I just had to tell you that I love you're personality and jokes while crotcheting!!! I get so amused and watch just to hear your comments about some of the patterns you make! And the poncho turned out beautiful! 👏🏼❤️
I am just about ready to begin part 2 but had to tell you. I showed a picture of your thumbnail to my little sister and she said the pineapples/pinecones looked like angel wings on your back. Little sisters are right sometimes. lol I shall be right back as soon as I finish my homework of 8". I am so excited to continue and finish up this beautiful poncho.
As predicted in one of my previous comments, you look great in it. Absolutely smashing, in fact. Why aren't you on a runway in Paris or Los Angeles? The world needs to know who you are, and what you do! As I always say (and it's not an original quote), if you got it, flaunt it! And gurl, you got it!
I am so sorry, Corinna. I yelled again. So silly of me. 😄 I really, REALLY hate weaving in ends. I mean really, REALLY! When you cut the yarn at the tip of the point, I started yelling, "No. NO! Don't cute the yarn. No! Loosely slip stitch down the side of the point. You can crochet an edge over it, and no-one will ever know. And NO ENDS. " I'm a goof. Love you, Corinna! Your videos are AWESOME! I love, love, LOVE every single one. 🥰💖💞
It is Beautiful ❤️ Thank you for all your hard work to teach us, to encourage us, to make what might sound “hard” into a doable! Praying 🙏🏼 God’s Best for you❤️
I absolutely love this! I found your channel several weeks ago and subscribed immediately!! You are so knowledgeable about vintage crocheting and your explanations are so easy to understand. My favorite thing about your channel….. your mystery patterns and your honesty! Keep it going Corrina!!!!
that looks so pretty in white. My friend from 3rd grade back in 68 had it all yellow with green pineapples and red neck and yoke. Her grandmother made it that way probably as it was for a little girl😄 it looks quite elegant in white.
Absolutely beautiful both the poncho and you. I just realized that you live very close to me, I live in Mohave Valley Arizona, just up the road from you. Yes you were very brave to pose in the poncho in the heat and the sun. Thank you for all you do.
@@justvintagecrochet do you friend anyone from you channel or would you prefer not to? If so i am on Facebook under Rose Renik and no I don't live in Las Vegas. I do that to keep people from knowing where I live.
Love it....I skipped to the end, because we are having a storm right now and I can't stay connected...will watch it in full soon. It's so girly and I know a little girl who will love this. I have been looking for one for years now with hand holes in them and can't find one....I had one growing up and loved it. Almost like button holes in about the same place as this one, but higher.
The poncho turned out so amazingly elegant! Good call making it in that snowy white - will be perfect for winter. ❄️ Speaking of temperature, you modeled an acrylic turtleneck poncho outside in Arizona in August?!? 🥵 Respect girl... re-freakin'-spect.
Thank you! 😊, omg yes, it was HOT LOL, I could not wait to get done filming and get it off, but I can confirm that yarn is perfectly soft for wearables, especially a turtleneck :)
Hi Corinna- WOW! That yarn is perfect for this pattern and I love how this turned out! You wear it quite well! Perfection- per usual w/your work. I wish I could mimic your stitching. Just beautiful.
Oh wow! I am newer to crochet and have never seen the crab stitch. I love the turtleneck. This came out super cozy! Soon it’ll be perfect weather for this sort of thing 😀😀😀
I hope the lounge room makeover went well for you over the weekend 😁 the poncho looks beautiful. Here in Australia we are heading into spring so the weather in my part Australia is starting to feel a little warmer. I hope you get the chance to wear this beautiful piece of winter art wear. 😊🙏🩷🙏
You are such a gorgeous talented lady, thankyou for sharing yourself and your talents with us, I absolutely love your channel and your voice I could listen to forever lol, thankyou xx🥰🥰xx
It's beautiful and really, REALLY 😂 suits you. I love the way you re-write the patterns to make it go your way (which is probably the way it should have been written in the first place!) ❤ from UK 🇬🇧
This turned out absolutely beautiful. This is a must pattern to own. I have a few friends who are poncho girls so for a present I better get a move on. That crab stitch makes a beautiful finished edge except I have being doing the same direction as a single crochet except before I close the loop I twist the crochet needle around and then close. This gives the same twist and been using the edging for anything that I previously was just doing a basic single crochet. Thanks again for such a great pattern and tutorial.
It looks fantastic on you. I have enjoyed working along with the pattern and you. I think I need to make another. Thank you, excellent tutorial as always. X
👏👏 yes ma’am. Beautiful work as always. Merlin had your back… it will bend to my will 😂 I do agree with your choice on the trim row to skip the center 2 in the valley. Laid neater. (Again sometimes less is more applies to stitches AND written pattern words). As much as I love Millie and Sophia, you my favorite model. Thanks for all you do ma’am 😊
The length of the poncho is determined by measuring past the split and stopping 2 1/2 inches before the desired length. This can be done to shorten or lengthen the written pattern.
Truly a beautiful poncho. I found your channel a few weeks ago. I love all things vintage and I love crochet. So your channel was a great find. You’re a very good instructor and explain the patterns so well. I will be making this one for sure.
I absolutely love it! Looks fantastic on you. Since I'm watching just a couple weeks before Easter, I can easily imagine it styled with pretty pastels underneath. Kinda wish I had discovered your channel months ago so I could have watched sooner and been finished making my own by now. 😄
What a beautiful job you did with this poncho! I am thinking of making one after I finish a few wips but I don’t like turtle necks so I will be changing the neck.
I just bought the pattern from your Etsy site I'm gonna make this for my mom in like an angora or a mohair... Can't wait and thank you for introducing me to the pattern. I really absolutely enjoy your videos and your tutorials.
It’s winter here in Tasmania. I visited my mum today and decided to make this for her as it was a bitterly cold day and I want her to be warm. I just bought the pattern too. I am going to use wool she gifted me to make it for her. I might try a Tunisian turtle neck and see how it goes.
Wow that's so beautiful !! You were right about the border skipping the 2 in the crab stitch , I never seen that stitch snd love how it looks, Thank You for another great video !!! :) You sook so Pretty !!
Yep, I know what you mean about the novel step of the pattern. I was watching your mystery pattern series and I wonder which is more annoying...too many words or not enough? I've always followed my intuition with altering patterns and it's worked for me. Turned out lovely, very tres chic!

In the 70's I was having 3 babies!!! This would be so nice for a pregnant lady ♥ I would have loved it!
Such a beautiful poncho and the proud smile on your face when modeling it in the end is stunning! Amazing work
Thank you so much!
Love this poncho! Buying the pattern so I can make it. I will likely knit the neck of it because it will be thinner. Hot flashes and all that.
I am just about ready to begin part 2 but had to tell you. I showed a picture of your thumbnail to my little sister and she said the pineapples/pinecones looked like angel wings on your back. I'm just about to start my homework. It’s working up quick, I only started last night.
That's lovely. It looks great in white. Will have to add this to the other 99 million patterns i want to make.
Corinna,it's better than I expected,it suits you to a tee,wonderful indeed
Thank you :)
That turned out better than I was thinking. I love the crab stitch for the edging! It really makes it ❤ You did a fantastic job Corinna!💞💞💞
Thanks so much! 😊

I love your videos! You are absolutly adorable. Nice to see your work on you verus a mannequin
my jaw dropped at the final reveal omg
Love the rab stitch an I agree, skipping the 2 made a big difference. Crab stitch adds nice weight where needed at times, plus it's so pretty.

You got me giggling at the wordy discussion, hahaha. I agree with you. Love your tutorial. 😂😊

I was in highschool in the 70's. I can see this now with my vintage jeans! Pattern bought, yarn ordered! My first fall project in the making!
Absolutely beautiful both the poncho and you. I just realized that you live very close to me, I live in Mohave Valley Arizona, just up the road from you. Yes you were very brave to pose in the poncho in the heat and the sun. Thank you for all you do.
Oh wow!, we used to live in MV , moved here about 3 years ago :)
