Bwahahaha I cracked up at Walmart is Not ready for me! Gorgeous set…I’d definitely wear it! I think for some of us, our clothes are Art. My husband is an artist, too, so he just Loves everything I make!
This gives me a Dr Zhivago vibe. For anyone who remembers that movie from 1965 😄 but seriously, you have the most unique crochet channel on UA-cam for sure. 🎉❤
Ooooooo! Totally agree! Bring proper dress back. Sooo feminine and classy! I loved when women wore gloves ( hint). You are definitely on to something. People used to take pride in their appearance. We can do it again with a modern twist. 😊
Corinna, I love your channel so much. It has been my happy place. Fate knew I needed a natural antidepressant and threw your channel in my path. Thank you for your joyful outlook, no matter the outcome of the process and the project. You are a breath of fresh air in today’s angry world. I’m just getting back into crochet after learning it as a little girl from my Mum. I did it for many years on and off until my girls were born, and tried to work it in, but between working full time and them and my husband, I was too exhausted. Add in a debilitating chronic illness, well 25 years goes by just so fast, doesn’t it. I’m currently unemployed, and my oldest was trying to learn to crochet, I offered to help her, she dumped all her stuff on me after she said she wasn’t enjoying it and here we are! I’ve been watching other channels and one day you popped up. Now I’m “hooked” as they say 😂! You’ve helped me overcome my frustration with the magic circle, which I’ve had trouble mastering, and you make me smile. You are absolutely gorgeous, your voice is soothing, and your channel is fun and light-hearted. Thank you for all you do. You deserve all the best life has to offer!
Both the hat & the scarf would be even more gorgeous with a vintage brooch pinned to it - especially if they are part of a matching set. This video has gone into my archive. I will definitely be adding this to my vintage winter wardrobe! It is definitely "aces"!
Love this set. I was searching for a hat and this is it . I’m 74 yrs and so I remember the Jackie years in the White House. I will feel so classy in this.
So cute. The scarf is better longer. i might even go longer than you did. You are right about dressing and looking nice. Society, in general, could step it up a little. 😊
Beautiful use of Eyelash yarn! So interesting to see how the lengths of scarves of 1933 compare to today's. This is so flattering! Your husband will be proud to have you by his side! 💖
Thanks, Corinna! I love your patterns and how much courage you have, that so many of us wouldn’t have, to work through the differences to help us to make something we can be proud of!!
Oh my stars 🌟 you really knocked this one out of the ball park. You truly are gifted and amazing. All your work is amazing. Thank you for sharing another master piece.
Oh my goodness! Love, love, love the pill hat. I love the scarf too but my mind went straight to pairing the pill hat with a sleeved poncho! Oh yes…. I am almost done right now with a turtleneck poncho with sleeves and I will be making this beautiful pill hat to pair with it! Thank you so much for this video, you again, rock! 😊
You are curvy and beautiful!! It would be nice to see people taking more pride in making their own fashion. I adore making crochet stuff. I made my mum a cardigan, which I altered it to suit her needs. I lengthened it. She would walk around with pride and told everyone I have made it. 😊
I will be making this. I finished the cardi-poncho but couldn’t figure out how to share it with you. I finished it during a snow storm and I wore it outside a ton. We live in WA state so it can get chilly. Also, thank you for being so funny and joyful you made me laugh several times.
I think this is a model for the persian-fur-coats that was a la mode at this time. We know it from our grandmothers here in Europe. I like it and will work one for me. 💗
I love this set. I remember my mom would tell me from time to time about my grandmother wearing a pill box hat and how pretty it was on her. You are right, we need to go back to wearing beautiful hats again. The set you made looks so good on you.
For real for real…. ENVY of the town 🔥 cigarette girl vibes for sure. With the costume wig on… I swear I heard Glenn Miller Band trumpet 🎺 sound off. Love everything about this set and super easy ma’am. EXCELLENT way to kick things off 🔥
Another great stylish pattern you have brought to life Corinna. Thank you for doing all this hard work for us. I'm still going round in squares with the 1865 Shawl, it would help if I could find the crochet hook I was using. Then I could start one of the many other patterns you've shown us. 🤔now where is that hook? 🙈🧶🪡
I would love video of you rocking Wal-Mart in this! I need it for inspiration so I will do it, too. I won't look as cute as you do. I will look like a 62 year old woman with a cute pillbox hat and matching scarf! What a cute set and I love the novelty yarn! That is so fun! It does look a little fiddly to work fall 3 of these together but, Oh So Worth it! Thanks Corinna! Just Vintage Crochet is the best and absolutely most fun channel on the internet! ❤🧶❤️🧶❤️🧶
Be full of yourself right now hahahahha! Too much fun, what a beautiful pattern - Walmart will be inspired to bring in other yarn inventory after this ❤😃
This is gorgeous Corinna. I definitely would wear this.. Thank you so much for bringing us back beautiful vintage patterns. You're a wonderful teacher too. ❤😊 Cheers from Western Australia 🦘🌏
Oh I love this tutorial , I think you could really play around with different yarns as well as the width and length to make this set really customised to the wearer. So pretty!
I've made three of these hats and I get a lot of compliments on them when I wear them to Walmart and out and about. Thank you for making this pattern available!
This is sooo pretty! One trick I’ve added to my crocheting skills: when making a long chain for crocheting in the round, I start by making a couple of chains, remove my hook, put the first chain back onto my hook, and then I continue chaining like normal. This helps me from twisting my chain.
Adorable set great tutorial. By the way you were given a shout out on another UA-cam channel, Lucas yarns said he watches you and is inspired by you bringing vintage crochet back to the crochet world. You have inspired me to crochet doilies and shawls and shawlettes and capes.
Gorgeous set that looks fabulous on you!!! Love that you show us how easy it is to make. Olive is a very sentimental color for me - hope you make yourself that olive coat (and do a tutorial ) to compliment this set! Thank you!
This is a very pretty set. I think I would get a vintage brooch to put either on the scarf or on the hat or both. You can find things like that at goodwill or yard sale for almost nothing. Or even use an odd button earring.
Hi,Corrina,Just Vintage Crochet. Could you tell me, is this flight taking off on time?lol 😊, what a cool 😎 project, you presented it well. The way you looked you could have stepped back in time and fit right in.😮, Thanks for Showing.see you on the tube 😊😊.
You were made to wear this. Truly elegant. In fact, with your short hair you remind me of the actress Linda Dano. However us northern girls would find this hat lacking in the warmth department (especially that one ear😂)
When you were putting on that little loop thing on the shawl and the sewing needle came out on the wrong side, I had to laugh. I can´t tell you how many times the same happened to me! i love what you do!
Love it. You look gorgeous in this set. I have always loved fashion from the 30's thru the 60's. Can't wait to get started on this set. Have a wonderful day.
I have some hygge yarn, ever heard of it? It is a bit fuzzy, and a heavier weight yarn but mixed with another color it might be pretty together. Although it is a different weight it could be used by adjusting hook size and measuring. That hat and scarf set looks just darling on you my dear... Yes, let's bring back those older fashions, I'm loving them! I love your projects, glad you're bringing vintage flare back. I'm in my 60s so this stuff suits me just fine! Bless you dear! ❤😊
Beautiful set. One tip for the sewing section - divide and conquer. Fold the crown into half and half again and put a stitch marker to mark the quarters, then do the same on tbe brim. It will make it easier to eyeball sewing the two together. I'm definitely making this set - I lost a favourite astrakhan cossack hat a few yearx ago and this will be a perfect replacement.
Young lady that era was made for you💕! All these 1800 up to the 70’s suits you to a T’! You sure can wear these beautiful items 💕💙💕 Simply stunning and gorgeous 💕💕💕💕💕 Leticia
What a beautiful pattern. I’m fully in agreement that society needs people making more effort to dress well. Very flattering on you.
This is beautiful. It is so classy and it looks terrific on you!!! Yes i agree we need these clothing styles to come back.
Yes. Very classic.
Dr Zhivago vibes yes !
Ooooooo! Totally agree! Bring proper dress back. Sooo feminine and classy! I loved when women wore gloves ( hint). You are definitely on to something. People used to take pride in their appearance. We can do it again with a modern twist. 😊
Honey- Walmart will not know what to do with you and your wonderful talent! Lmao I absolutely agree with you on bringing back old fashioned fashion!
Goodness, Corrina, you are just gorgeous and this hat and scarf look perfect on you. 💕💕💕
Oh wow, thank yiu so much for that ❤️
Corinna, I love your channel so much. It has been my happy place. Fate knew I needed a natural antidepressant and threw your channel in my path. Thank you for your joyful outlook, no matter the outcome of the process and the project. You are a breath of fresh air in today’s angry world.

Love the thumbnail already! Oh, I agree..lets bring back men with had and coat and women wearing beautiful dresses.
I do not wear dresses. Ugh. Have not since forever. If we were forced to wear them again I would never go out. At 67 happy to stay in my yoga pants.😍😁
Flight attendant, that's what I thought!! Good job!!
So cute. The scarf is better longer. i might even go longer than you did. You are right about dressing and looking nice. Society, in general, could step it up a little. 😊
Wow lady, that's classy!
Ready for dinner and cocktails after a Bette Davis movie.😊
Beautiful use of Eyelash yarn! So interesting to see how the lengths of scarves of 1933 compare to today's. This is so flattering! Your husband will be proud to have you by his side! 💖
Thanks, Corinna! I love your patterns and how much courage you have, that so many of us wouldn’t have, to work through the differences to help us to make something we can be proud of!!
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for that ❤️
You look lovely! What a fun pattern.
Thank you! 😊
Oh my stars 🌟 you really knocked this one out of the ball park. You truly are gifted and amazing. All your work is amazing. Thank you for sharing another master piece.
1930s is so stylish. Gorgeous. I have some vintage novelty yarn, may use it or go my own way, but will definitely make this.
"Walmart is not ready for me" get em girl!! 😂
I love them, they suit you as well. Society really needs to add more class to it's fashion. Ugg boots and flannels are just not cutting it any more.
hiya corinna! you look fantastic in this pill box hat and scarf!! very befitting!! i'll watch later. xoxo
ok, im back...styles of the 30's and 40's...nothing but class! you should be proud to wear any of your creations.
This is beautiful!
The hat is so DR. ZHIVAGO, (how beautifully nostalgic.)
Awesome! Yes, bring back the classy fashions. I will be wearing mine too.
That looks awesome on you!❤
Lady, you are so beautiful! Thank you for picking this pattern! I love it!!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful pill hat! My grandmother had another lovely example I remember!
You are curvy and beautiful!!
It would be nice to see people taking more pride in making their own fashion. I adore making crochet stuff. I made my mum a cardigan, which I altered it to suit her needs. I lengthened it. She would walk around with pride and told everyone I have made it. 😊
That's so chic! Great color!
Omg lovely
The year my mother was born. I never saw my Grandma or anyone dressed in these. Hum. Time for pictures to come out. Fun Corinna.
That set is just adorable on you!
I love it! It looks great on you and you have an awesome, supportive hubby 😊 Yes to people putting effort into dressing nicely again!
I will be making this. I finished the cardi-poncho but couldn’t figure out how to share it with you. I finished it during a snow storm and I wore it outside a ton. We live in WA state so it can get chilly. Also, thank you for being so funny and joyful you made me laugh several times.
Hello Corinna,
I love the thumbnail and I love this set, what a great project 🧶🧶🧶, thank you for this tutorial.
I think this is a model for the persian-fur-coats that was a la mode at this time. We know it from our grandmothers here in Europe. I like it and will work one for me. 💗
so fun, i did a similar pillbox hat and muffler/scarf set sewn with some remnant faux fur and wool. Such a super warm and cute combination 😍
I love this set. I remember my mom would tell me from time to time about my grandmother wearing a pill box hat and how pretty it was on her. You are right, we need to go back to wearing beautiful hats again. The set you made looks so good on you.
Oh, WOW!!! Love it. Looks fantastic!!!

Just love pillbox hat! I saw a lady wearing one at a restaurant a few days ago. She looked adorable.
The hat and scarf are so cute! I’m going to make this set.
I totally love it with the wig and without! I really like this pattern and can't wait to give it a try! 😊❤ Fabulous!

Love the hat and scarf you suit it well and the green looks fabulous.
Thank you for sharing the patterns from our past. Very unique and attractive set.
This is beautiful. I think you look like Julie Christie in Dr Zhivago. Well done!!
I love your channel so much Corinna. 🥰
Love it so much. I bet it’s super cozy too.
Lovely! Making this set for myself! Thank you!
So cute and your yarn choice definitely matches the picture. That's hard to do with vintage patterns.❤
Ohh and thanks for your time ❤️ I appreciate your channel ☺️
this would be so beautiful as felted wool crochet. Would have to make bigger for shrinkage.
You look like Rachel Weisz modeling this set. Absolutely Beautiful work!!!
