Hi, great video, my Lumina 2000 transmission was rebuilt 4 years ago. A few days ago It presented faults, the reverse is applied but slips, the forward shifts applied and also slip, the car barely moves, removing the transmission fuse decreases the slip. Would it be corrected by changing the afl valve? Thank you in advance for your time and dedication.
Can't tell you if the AFL valve will solve this issue that you are having. First, thing to do is scan for codes. Second, is to remove the transmission pan and check for metal and other debris. These are steps that we take in the shop.

1811 needs a rebuild
I have 2006 gxp my transmission ran hot right after rebuild so I add a big rv cooler . After 25000 miles freeway driving I noticed a slight whine at low rpm fluid was changed it was not burned . Suddenly on my way home from work drive and reverse went fluid was ok . I shut of car in park restart I have all gears but sill whines and temp climb to 200 f and I think it slips not driving car . The code is P0. 842 low pressure any help would be good. The car has been driven mostly highway 75 mph and not driven hard .
Pump is bad
@@22koga filter was plugged , changed fluid and filter ok no issues
@@nickking1510 yes the pump not getting fluid would of made the same sound
@@nickking1510 these transmissions also have what’s called a friction drum and they squeal if they are dry
Please don't use ball peen to knock it in!
Good god shut off your air compressor and tell everybody to be quiet in the background when your making a video
My daughter's 2006 g6 suddenly has only 3rd gear. No slipping before and just happened out of nowhere! Could it be the shift solenoids?
Is the check engine light on? What does the computer code say?
