Who care if it doesn't have all the amenities, this vehicle is super practical for a city driver. Parking an F150 in a narrow driveway is a pain.

Parking a crewcab F150 is a pain almost everywhere and almost scrapes the low ceiling of Seattle parking garages.
They had me at 25k msrp for the hybrid stock version. I’m still a few months from delivery as well!

I am going to invest in a good set of tire chains for bad snow conditions. Way cheaper than going AWD and the ecoboost. It’s just a week out of the year where I’d use them because the city can’t get the streets plowed.
How has the Maverick 2022 done for you? I have the XL. Still having issues with the engine light?

I just took delivery of my same exact vehicle sans the hybird - went with the ecoboost and only option is full size spare - area 51 - drove it 750 miles home from dealership and started trip at 26.7 mpg and ended at 30.7 mpg.
Ayeeee!!! Congrats Secpac58chichi! I adored my ecoboost. The multilink rear suspension on the ecos mean they ride a lot better than the hybrid.
I ordered a XLT hybrid on sept 19,22--- when the ordering banks were open. Ordered the engine block heater, rear sliding window, rear hitch and co-pilot 360. Being I am now an older driver, thought the co-pilot may help me out, changing lanes etc. I have a f-150, I bought 7 years ago, now has 47,000 miles on, I use that if I haul or tow anything. I will probably never use the hitch on the maverick, but thought it looks better on. Just hope I get mine at some point in the future. I want the maverick mainly for the gas mileage. Gas is high, but we know, it will get higher in the future.----Cheers
I did the same as you, waiting for an xlt hybrid in a week or two. It makes sense for me. I told them to get the options that would get me a maverick the quickest. So I got the options I would probably not have ordered. But it will be first and last new vehicle for me and my wife, and in the long term I think it will better with all the options.

i cant find a ford dealership in my area that doesnt scam us. There's a local dealership that shows 26k for the XLT model and when i went there, it still showed 26k and when doing paperwork they ran my credit several times and then after that, they said they "forgot" to tell me they added 14k onto the price because of the clear coat and nitro tires. I was livid. Now I know i will never be able to own a ford and they ruined my credit
I read your comment and my friend , a former Ford employee in Dearborn Mich has a 2022 XLT on lease. I have convinced him to take the offer to buy the Maverick at the end of the lease and resell it. The Maverick has 12,000 miles on it .
He will be selling his Maverick in two years if you want to consider that option. It is black in color the XLT
I like the XL best, also. Only problem is Ford will only make 15 percent of 2023 orders for the XL. Also, the destination charge is now up to $1,595 and the base price has increased another $400.00.
Crazy that even at that price increase, it is still a good value!

Ordered my '24 hybrid xl last month and intend to use it as my daily driver. Due to misguided state tax increase, Washington now has the highest gas prices in the nation, so I'm not waiting for an AWD hybrid version. With cruise control, air and co-pilot 360 it can be a long distance runner too. Keeping my old F150 to tow and haul.

Still waiting for XL hybrid. No build date, gave the dealer a $500 non refundable deposit. I heard say it might not get built but I’m expecting Ford to honor my deal and deliver me a 2024.

not sure if i can agree with that the metals and plastics are really cheap and crummy i mean its a OFRD:( tranny barely last not to mention only came out in 2022 jsut not enough time out there wont last 10 years in a canada winter
time will tell on the longevity front, at the very least you can be into it for half the average price of a new car sale.

Looking at getting this myself but it’s not AWD and would like it for the snow. Does FWD make a huge difference from AWD?
Depends on your lifestyle.
To be frank, in most scenarios, if you put dedicated snows and some weight in the bed you’ll be good to go with FWD.
That said if deep snow driving is a yearly occurrence and you have to drive to work regardless of the conditions, AWD is a must. Or if you plan to tow over 2,000 pounds

Another $500 cost increase too. I’m loosing my enthusiasm after $2500 increases since we got on the waiting list at the dealer June 2022.

Well EB FWD is the same price now as Hybrid FWD in 2023.

@@MoneyShift even EB FWD used have a crazy markup out here of 5k. The dealer I am buying from has sold passed over trucks at MSRP. Sadly still waiting on my hybrid.
