As we all know, some manufacturers make really fast cars, while some make really slow cars. But have you ever wondered which manufacturer has the biggest difference between both their fastest and slowest cars?
Well, even if you haven't, it's one we've been thinking about for a while - so we decided to make this video! We've looked at all major manufacturers out there, and we've painstakingly looked through the 0 - 62mph times for ALL of their production cars currently on sale to see where the biggest differences are.
Now it's no surprise that supercar brands like Ferrari or Lamborghini show up early on in this list, given they only make fast cars, but can you guess which brands will appear in the top 3? Let us know in the COMMENTS!

It seems like there are a few cars on this list with that issue. MG is another one for me. They used to make some really nippy motors back in the MG Rover group days. The Maestro Turbo was quick, as was the ZS, ZT 260 and the X-Power. Now it's a Chinese car brand with little to no character in any of their motors. The Subaru BRZ is just way too slow as well. Over 7 seconds for a 0-60 in a modern say sports car, and the Imprezas are left to die with 0-100kph times drifting close or over 10 seconds depending on the model.
well i mean you must realize the evo although great didnt sell well and the same thing happened to the eclipse even when dsm motors was made

In Brazil, everything below 10s is considered a really fast car.

And still today an awful lot of average commuter cars don't make it in less than ten seconds, despite average horsepower having doubled in the last twenty years or so...
In majority of Europe everything under 10 is still "quick", only reason USA got such fast cars (For example the Honda Oddessey is considered fast here) is because of their non existent emission laws lol.

It would have been interesting to see a ranking based on percentage the slower or faster time is of the hour. Rolls Royce’s 0.7 second difference is slightly different to the 0.7 difference of the other company.

One thing I would like to see, is stopping distance from 70 of the cheapest vs the flagship performance model in each brand. Reason being, constantly moaned at that performance cars are pointless, but I would hazard a guess that all the performance cars can stop from 70 a lot quicker than the cheapest, slowest cars of the same brand. Thus performance = safer. Thoughts?

The larger the gap between slowest and fastest time could be an indicator on how diverse the manufacturers offerings are and therefore have a larger demography interested in their products.
I'd argue that the quickest Volkswagen is actually the Bugatti Chiron. ^^

the STi is definitely quicker. everyone is confused as to why he didn't include it.

For Anyone wondering, GM’s fastest car is the c8 corvette with 2.8 sec 0-60 mph and their slowest is the Chevy Spark with 10.7, difference of 7.9 sec

Honestly, "complaining" about the MX-5's 0 - 100km/h just goes to show what's wrong with the car industry and why it's getting harder and harder to find pure, simple and fun things to drive
They made it geared so 100km/h is in 3rd gear, instead of second because they simply don’t care about the actual numbers, but more about the feel.

It would have been more accurate to measure the difference as a percentage of the fastest time, 1.1 seconds is a bigger difference at 5 seconds than it is at 9 seconds

Great vid Matt. As an ageing baby boomer... (1951) I remember clearly in the 1960’s that any car that broke 6 seconds to the 60mph barrier at the time was SUPER fast! E Type, Daytona for instance. Not below 6 seconds, but IN the 6 second range!
