- After the tension that's been arising between the crew members, Adama gives Saul and Starbuck an ultimatum.
From Season 3 Episode 5 'Torn', Baltar learns from Caprica Six of their ability to project themselves and imagine different surroundings which leads him to wonder if he too is a Cylon. He has told the Cylons what he knows about the location of Earth and they dispatch a Basestar to investigate. In the end, the survey ship is infected with a virus killing everyone aboard. Aboard the Galactica, Lt. Gaeta has been reviewing Baltar's work in deciphering the map they recovered on Kobol. He too thinks he knows what it all means.

"One of you, I don't care who, pick that weapon up and shoot me"
*Boomer walks in*
"Oh fuck this I'm out"
more like Athena, but yeah, she is not taking any part on that mess XD
or the chife...
Starbuck looks like she's about to cry from being told off by Adama. I can't say I blame her.
After being verbally chastised by Adama any grown man or woman might weep in bitter regret
Cause he is their daddy.
Just imagine getting in trouble and having to wait for Adama to chew you out
@@lizxfun personally
Starbuck seeʻs Adama as her Father and hearing him say all that must of hurt a lot.
Katee Sackhoff isn't just a great actress, she has a unique ability to depict Starbuck's jaw-dropping immaturity. Something happened in her life to stop her clock at 16, and it shows in her eyes whenever Adama is chewing her out. Actors who are known for depicting hard people often have trouble stretching their range that way, but Sackhoff is a fucking unicorn. I really can't think of anyone else who can strike that note on command, and it's been a waste of her potential that no one's called upon her full power since then.
Then again, it takes a special kind of writing to make a *character* with that much depth, and shows like 24 aren't going to be up to the task.
I could say this for the whole cast, for example, Tricia Helfer should be doing the parts Margot Robbie is doing now.
She is fantastic in the series LONGMIRE.
24 was Kiefer Sutherland’s, a.k.a. “Jack Bauer”, vehicle!
Everybody else was either visiting or just along for the ride.
i think i was 30 5 ish back then
This is Ron Moore show. Most main characters are jaw-droppingly immature crybabies.
Starbuck: “Well if you’re lookin’ for an apology it isn’t gonna…”
Adama: “Gurl, BYE!”
I love how Adama says "give me the room" very quietly and yet everyone clears out.
Up in this b*tch, I'm what you might consider... an authority figure.
I also left the room, just in case...

The one thing I don't think a lot of people realize is that Saul Tigh was Starbuck and Starbuck was well on her way to becoming Colonel Tigh.
agree
i was expecting when she was kag, she would study cylon/colonial forces, she would learn that it was tigh, who did it first, adama called him out once, saying kara may be even a better piolet than him, he respected caras abilities, he did not like her as a person
I loved this show. You know these actors had a BLAST getting to sink their teeth into meaty parts! This is a great scene... you can just feel the weight of sorrow on Saul Tighe and how deep his self-loathing and depression have taken him. So many shows 'try' to make drama, but few actually succeed like this show did with these characters, and just putting them through the ringer!
The fact that they managed to get two academy award level actors for Adama and Roslin was such a strength for this show and for sci-fi in general
That man doesn't exist anymore, Bill. And you won't be seeing me again.
You can feel Adama's heart breaking as Saul said that. Just as Adama's crew members were so loyal to them and loved him so deeply he loved his crew right back. He was shattered when Boomer betrayed him because of how much he cared for her.
What a great fucking show.
Adama is the man.
"you would't be seeing me again"
*follows the man to hell and back
Well at least Saul and Starbuck have patched up their differences.
misery loves company
Another example of Adama being the best fictional commander. He hears about a problem, then he waits to gather information and see if it resolves itself on it's own quickly
It doesn't, so he goes down there with some idea of the theatrics he'll use to make his point (leadership can be heavy on theatrics). He then makes his point in a way that snaps these two out of their BS, automatically shutting down a bunch of smartass rebuttals they could've used and interrupting their little pity party.
Finally, he tailors his approach to the individual. Starbuck has a daughterly relationship with him and is acting like a little teenage brat, so that "tough love" move was perfect for her. He's softer with Saul and approaches him as a near-peer, recognizes both what the guy has been through and their decades-long comraderie. It works
Wow.
Adama kicks TWO asses at ONE time.
Even Red Forman would be impressed. 😂😂
They uploaded this before. What happened?
EDIT: The video “Adama Accuses Starbuck and Saul of Being Toxic” seems to be a longer cut. Doesn’t explain why they reuploaded this
All of this has been uploaded before and all of this will be uploaded again.
UA-cam algorithms necessitate it if they wish to make any profit or continue to grow their viewer base.
I don't blame them.

Honestly....I needed the Admiral when I was going through my addiction. I fight it everyday. Adama quotes are key to recovery. Lol
Every time I see a BSG clip I say this is the best scene, then I always come back to this one. Magic.
it aint easy having pals
Adama IS the grumpy old dad we all needed!
Adama is much gentler with Saul than with Starbuck here...seems unfair, as she went through a huge amount of trauma as well
She’s being far more insubordinate in this scene than Saul Tigh. Also, they have very different personalities and different approaches were needed with each one. Finally, as close as Adama’s been with Kara, he’s known Saul longer than she’s been alive.
He was far more severe with her than him.
That's how Starbuck rolls. He knows how she works fundamentally.
He crushed Kara by threatening to disown her. He crushed Tigh by telling him he was unreliable. Adama was being efficient, not inconsistent.
He knows just how to act toward each of them. He’s trying to make a point, not start a fist fight.
For people thinking adama was being unfair in his treatment of Kara here is the difference between her and Saul as I see it. Like Leoben said to Kara during his interrogation she is broken she has a black fire inside of her as a direct result of her upbringing we all have seen it it before in her attitude and her actions even if we don’t know we seen it. but it is there this self destructive behavior we have seen but from what I’ve seen I think people think that it just an attitude she has but it’s not its a self destructive fire inside of her that she has been able to manage and not let consume her but now as a result of what she suffered on New Caprica she can’t control it anymore its beginning to consume her and soon it will start to consume others in to itself and adama knows this he knows Kara and loves her he doesn’t want to do it but knows he has to try and save her from herself or risk the fire consuming her and no doubt leading to her death he can’t have that happen to her so he is doing the tough love approach that any father would do in this situation to help fix her and make her a person again cause that’s what a father does for his kid
As for Saul ( I was going to put it in the comment but it was getting too long) he is in a sorrowful angry state as result of what happened to him and what he had to do on new caprica like killing Ellen and his interment in a holding cell for so long. It has been eating away at him this whole time he just can’t do it anymore. He has always been a bit of a self loathing person with some suicidal tendencies like in one flash back he was about to set himself on fire before he got called back to colonial fleet. Now it is starting to consume him but not to the same extent as Kara’s is and in a different way too that’s why adama is being gentle with him he knows Saul better than anyone and if he pushes too hard he will push him over the edge into the point of no return and he won’t do that to him that’s why he acts so different to each of them he is not showing favoritism he is treating them the way each of them needs to be treated
Was this after their secret tribunal and spacing people?
Yes
Don't give a cylon a loaded weapon
or an angel one either, you never know what may happen...
Man this was a lot better than Admiral Caine's methods.
There are two "D's" in the word "addresses."
What's up with the reupload?
It would have been a such a great twist if Starbuck had turned out to be Tigh's daughter....as they are both similar self destructive cynical characters ....would have so much better then the Kara is "angel" arc ..but then Saul turned out to be Cylon is i guess that messed up any chance of that happening anyways
Well she wasn’t always an angel, she became one after she died.
Kara was such a horrible choice for that role..
She sucks as an actor, and totally ruined the starbuck role..
But Kara was a half Cylon too.
NO SHES UNDEAD
@@darkrazers3566 Well, you're wrong.
