- He's an ethically questionable lawyer, with a love of taking things that aren't his and psychological manipulation. He's also defending Gaius.
From "The Son Also rises" (Season 3, Episode 18): Besides having to deal with the loss of Kara Thrace, the crew of the Galactica is also charged with the security surrounding the trial of Dr. Baltar and his defense attorney, who is replacing one lawyer that has already been killed.

Millennia before Saul Goodman, there was Romo Lampkin.
ah Romo, one of my favorite characters in BSG
The backstory behind him carrying around that cat which he largely hated is utterly wrenching and even heartbreaking.
Has it occurred to anyone, and in particular after seeing him in court, that Romo Lampkin owes some debt of inspiration to Lt. Col. Frank Slade?
Hated his guts. Taught me everything I know.
Such a great line
I JUST THOUGHT THAT MYSELF
I always wondered why Baltar's legal defense wasn't, 'you pardoned everyone already'
Well, yeah, but
1) Baltar wasn't in the fleet when the pardon was issued. It could be countered the pardon doesn't apply.
2) Drama!
Me too, but I just rewatched the episode where gaeta was given a pardon and the president says “everyone in the fleet will be pardoned” while baltar was with the cylons and not in the fleet
It's weird, I saw BSG before I saw either Firefly or Supernatural and yet everytime I see him I always expect to hear "ello boys."
It’s the accent
Mark Sheppard is so amazing! From crowly to Romo to Canton he has played so many amazing characters
“When the unstoppable force meets the unmovable object, stand aside and wait for the class action lawsuit.”
So humans evolved twice (once on Kobol, once on our Earth).
But the fact Romo has a cat means that cats also evolved twice in the BSG universe...
either that or cats are aliens.
Romo Lampkin was kind of Dr. House of lawyers
more chaotic neutral than chaotic good though
great comparison
both don't really care about the people
house just wants to solve the puzzle
and Romo wants to make a really great argument
that's a style I really appreciate
I have autism so I find the touchy feely false sentimentality annoying
I just want someone who is extremely rational and good at their job
Romo Lmapkin was a breath of fresh air who brought a whole new depth and dimension to the show as it was starting to go a little stale. His character, the trial and verdict as we walked away took it in the direction it needed to go. I loved it.
I found it rather adorable that Gaius was bouncing on Adama’s bed like child who got scolded by his parents.
My favourite fictional lawyer.
The Last President of the Colonies - My Personal Favourite of the Show, he was just perfect.
I remembered the chills I felt the first time watching this scene.
BSG was so fracking good! and Romo is easily one of my top 3 favourite characters.
Gotta love Romo.
I still can't believe, there are dumb people who think the cat was imaginary all the time.
I can't believe that either given that there's a scene in this episode where it escapes from a Raptor and everyone around the Raptor saw it, leading to the discovery of another bomb underneath it.
It was imaginary in the episode Sine Qua Non, perhaps people are just remembering that and misattributing it to these episodes as well.
I'm more surprised there wasn't other pets seen in the fleet.
Like I know they left in a hurry, but surely someone else evacced with a dog or was mid-flight to Gemenon with a guinea pig in the cargo hold.
Jake the dog
I like the guy, despite not being my favorite one. This show was simply really well made.
And then a few years later, Romo changed his name, became a secret service agent, time traveled back to the 60s, and helped The Doctor fight the Silence aliens.
All just a cover for the greatest demon in Hell, Crowley, son of the witch Rowena. Before he escaped the earth and met the crew of the Serenity, of course.
*Spoiler* Romo Lampkin time-traveled forward to the 1960s to help The Doctor fight the Silence aliens.
lawyer on the day, blind vigilante during the night
Crowley still making crossroad deals
Bager or Romo, I couldn't tell you which character I like more, both are played so frackin perfectly 👌🔥
My favorite Romo scene is when he's interviewing Caprica Six.
mine is when he tells Lee “they killed my cat!” on Colonial 1
he is so smooth in that and the actress who played six is very underrated probably because she is so pretty, but she was a really great actress to be able to make all of the sixes different enough that you could somehow always tell which was which.
One of those characters that seem to be something more than he looks like.
Long way from Persephone. At least his professional standards haven't changed.
Matt Murdock and Romo Lampkin have the same eyeglasses.
Before being the king of hell, crowley was a lawer. You lnow kinda fits
So who was he really was he one of the angels. If I remember right nobody could find him after the trial
the writers don't even know lol
Crowley!
He looks like daredevil
his was a amzing sow, something ery special wenrarely get to see on tv
2:39 “his article in Caprican Wikipedia is thorough”
Firestarter! (X Files fans will know)
Badger(Firefly fans will know)
@@dallasgoodman1989 Absolutely!!!
Oh Crowley
Crime and politics, little girl. The situation is always fluid.
Hey, did you SEE what landed behind Roslin in Episode 1? 😎
Daredevil cosplay? Messenger?
Daredevil?
Hearing him with what sounds more like a Irish accent is odd.
It's not a bad Irish accent actually. The actor is English but played with an Irish band so I guess he picked it up there.
@@max__pain Met him a few years back.
@@max__pain Holy smokes! I was sure that he actually was Irish. I think he might be but can't be bothered checking. If he isn't then he does a great Irish accent. I live in the UK so I have a fair idea of Irish accents and it is one that is more difficult to do than it sounds. Like southern Americans (cowboy talk) it is very easy to end up going over the top with it.
Wait I thought the cat was dead
The cat gets killed
@@Warsage29 Schrodinger's cat?
@@Kosh800 the cat gets killed in session 4 I think
@@Warsage29 Curiosity the culprit?
@@polreamonn hard to say
Is it me or does he have that Matt Murdock from Daredevil vibe to him?
aye though I'd put it more that Matt Murdock from MCU has a serious Lampkin vibe
Omg yes!!!!
Crowley the crossroads demon
I straight thought that was Charlie Cox for a couple of seconds there.
