Speaking of astronaut horror stories,.... There's an original astronaut sci-fi/horror-comedy film in development that has yet to be released. Whether it's live-action or animated, it's a film called "The Something", which was written and rumored to be directed by Rodney Rothman. The same person who worked on films, such as "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", "22 Jump Street", the Academy Award-winning "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", and a memoir called "Early Bird". So this film is his passion project he's been working on for a long time. It will center on a trio of astronauts who have been marooned in deep space for quite sometime with no outside contact, until they eventually come across being rescued by another spaceship. When the astronauts go inside the ship and attempt to get back to Earth, they find that they're not equipped to represent humankind in a battle of intelligent life. I really like this concept, by the way.
Reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode where 8 astronauts are sent to space, and by the end, there's only one survivor left and he's the only one who finds out that apparently they never left Earth, they crashed back into it.
